A story about a young woman who feels she has to protect those she loves by staying away from them and dealing with the death of her father on her own. Little does she know that the people who love her aren’t going to let that happen. This is Book 2 in the Until You Series. It’s a great story about young love and how two people can overcome past hurts and make a go of their relationship.

Samantha is in her senior year of high school when her father is murdered and she is shot at the same time. Her mother has withdrawn into herself, her older brother is away at college and doing his own thing, and Samantha is left to care for her mother, run the household, and stay on top of her school work to keep her GPA up, as the Valedictorian of her graduating class. She’s doing it, but she’s also shutting out the friends who love her and want to help her. She already distanced herself from Joseph because she didn’t want him to end up like her father or be in danger, but at what cost?

Joseph is in college and doesn’t know why Samantha broke up with him. He goes out to forget and get drunk, but ends up in more trouble than what he was looking for, thanks to Sam’s brother. Joseph knows he has to get through to Samantha to help her. He takes matters into his own hands and shows up on her doorstep the day after her 18th birthday with his older brother Fin, and Samantha’s FBI security guard, Michael in tow. They make their way into the house and find out what Samantha has been going through. They make her see that they are there to help her and start making arrangements to do just that.

I really enjoyed this story and I look forward to reading the Book 3 in the series to see more of Samantha and Joseph’s life. I also hope to see some books in the future with Fin’s, Matt’s, Joseph’s other brother, Michael’s and Victor’s stories. They all have great parts in this story and I would love to read more about them. I give this story a 4.5 star review, and I look forward to reading more of D.M. Davis’ books.

Holy Hawt! I love Commander Michael, he’s a man who knows what he wants and is bound and determined to get what he wants. He won’t apologize for his actions either.

Phoebe Wilson, a reporter for the New York Ledger, lives in New York and writes stories about corruption and crime. She will dig as deep as she can to find a story to write, but she does not give up until she has all of the facts to write her story. She’s stubborn, strong willed, and very independent. She’s a good reporter and is selected specifically to write a story about two murders in Buzzards Bay, MA, at the Puller Military Academy. The owner of the Ledger, wants her to find out if the Military Academy is trying to cover something up. She’s sent in under cover to find what she can on the two murders and write her story to expose any cover up. She is determined to do just that, but she may be sidelined by the Commanding officer.

Lieutenant Colonel Michael Lawson, the new commanding officer at Puller Military Academy, is a Marine. He’s brought to Puller to find out what happened to the two women who were murdered in the woods near the Academy. The deaths were not normal, they appeared to be ritualistic in nature. It’s confusing the military as well as the local law. He is a little afraid to upset his secretary, Mrs. Ludtz has been at the academy for years and likes things to stay traditional. She is an older woman and not a very friendly. Commander Lawson hates that he cannot hear people coming into his office because of the carpet, but he doesn’t want to upset Mrs. Ludtz by asking to have it removed. He already has several marks against him in her eyes. He isn’t an officer in the Navy, he was too young, and he was brought in to put the school on lockdown since the murders.

I really liked this story and I love Lieutenant Colonel Michael Lawson, he’s sexy, strong, and a bit dark. Phoebe is a great character too, she works on her own and until she meets the Commander, she doesn’t bow down to anyone. I give this story a 4 star review.

Wow!! Talk about a dark mafia man. Vlad is one cool, dark, smooth man. He is controlled most of the time, but when that control is lost, he is one mean, dark, bad mafia man.

This story was very well written and it really drew me in. The fact that Vlad was a man who has multiple sides, and is in control of the dark sides most of the time, make him a dangerous man. He is loyal to those whose trust he has, but if you cross him, you are not going to be a happy person, you may not live to tell about it either.

Vlad Vasiliev, the oldest of three in one of the First Families of the Russian Mafia. His family is actually at the top of the chain. His younger brother, Viktor and sister, Vika, twins, are two very different people. Vlad is close to his brother, but Vika is a conniving, vengeful young lady who will go to any length to get what she wants in life, even have people killed. Viktor is a young man who is sure of who he is and where he belongs in life without being a murderer, or conniving, but is he too confident in his abilities?

Diana Volkov, is the oldest child in the third in line of the First Families. She is smart, strong-willed, and a great business woman. She is to marry Vlad to bring strength to the families and to help the Vasiliev’s gain more land. There is no love between Vlad and Diana, but they are both the oldest in the families and know their duty to the family as well as the Families in general. Diana doesn’t expect for her secret to come out and she definitely doesn’t expect what happens to her when it comes to light. Diana’s younger sister Irena, Shadow, is the one Vlad really wants. She was always in Diana’s shadow growing up, so she earned the nick name.

I really liked this story and can’t wait to read more about the families. The story was well developed and the characters were powerful. Great story, Ker Dukey and K Webster. I look forward to reading more. I give this story a 5 star review.

Wow! Bella Jewell has done a great job with this story. I love it. This is the first story I’ve read in the Iron Fury MC Series, but it will not be the last. I now need to go back and and read the first two to find out how Malakai and Mag found their women.

Dakota is such a dark, strong, brooding man, but when he meets Charlie and has to protect her, you see a different Kota. It is so true that our past can shape us, and sometimes it is not for the good. Kota has a lot of darkness in him since his first meeting with Shanks, and he will not be able to change who he has become until he finally sees how Charlie can help him and bring him back to life. Dakota is the VP of the Iron Fury MC and is the MC is now his family, but will his need for revenge and his secrecy destroy the trust they have in Kota?

Charlie, a strong woman who needs to find her own way in life after the tragic life she has lived in her fathers house. Having a father who only strives for power and shows no love or care for his family would make anyone a hard, thoughtless person, but Charlie is not anyone and she has a conscience. She knows she has done some bad things, but she also knows that if she had not done those things she would not have survived. She’s a survivor and a woman who doesn’t take sh*t from anyone.

I look forward to reading more of this series and finding out more about Kota and Charlie’s life as well as how the MC handles the deception from Dakota. I give this a 4.5 star review and strongly suggest this book to anyone who likes to read about strong men and women who will do anything to protect those they love and consider their family, whether through blood or choice.
