Wow!! Talk about a dark mafia man. Vlad is one cool, dark, smooth man. He is controlled most of the time, but when that control is lost, he is one mean, dark, bad mafia man.

This story was very well written and it really drew me in. The fact that Vlad was a man who has multiple sides, and is in control of the dark sides most of the time, make him a dangerous man. He is loyal to those whose trust he has, but if you cross him, you are not going to be a happy person, you may not live to tell about it either.

Vlad Vasiliev, the oldest of three in one of the First Families of the Russian Mafia. His family is actually at the top of the chain. His younger brother, Viktor and sister, Vika, twins, are two very different people. Vlad is close to his brother, but Vika is a conniving, vengeful young lady who will go to any length to get what she wants in life, even have people killed. Viktor is a young man who is sure of who he is and where he belongs in life without being a murderer, or conniving, but is he too confident in his abilities?

Diana Volkov, is the oldest child in the third in line of the First Families. She is smart, strong-willed, and a great business woman. She is to marry Vlad to bring strength to the families and to help the Vasiliev’s gain more land. There is no love between Vlad and Diana, but they are both the oldest in the families and know their duty to the family as well as the Families in general. Diana doesn’t expect for her secret to come out and she definitely doesn’t expect what happens to her when it comes to light. Diana’s younger sister Irena, Shadow, is the one Vlad really wants. She was always in Diana’s shadow growing up, so she earned the nick name.

I really liked this story and can’t wait to read more about the families. The story was well developed and the characters were powerful. Great story, Ker Dukey and K Webster. I look forward to reading more. I give this story a 5 star review.

Wow! Bella Jewell has done a great job with this story. I love it. This is the first story I’ve read in the Iron Fury MC Series, but it will not be the last. I now need to go back and and read the first two to find out how Malakai and Mag found their women.

Dakota is such a dark, strong, brooding man, but when he meets Charlie and has to protect her, you see a different Kota. It is so true that our past can shape us, and sometimes it is not for the good. Kota has a lot of darkness in him since his first meeting with Shanks, and he will not be able to change who he has become until he finally sees how Charlie can help him and bring him back to life. Dakota is the VP of the Iron Fury MC and is the MC is now his family, but will his need for revenge and his secrecy destroy the trust they have in Kota?

Charlie, a strong woman who needs to find her own way in life after the tragic life she has lived in her fathers house. Having a father who only strives for power and shows no love or care for his family would make anyone a hard, thoughtless person, but Charlie is not anyone and she has a conscience. She knows she has done some bad things, but she also knows that if she had not done those things she would not have survived. She’s a survivor and a woman who doesn’t take sh*t from anyone.

I look forward to reading more of this series and finding out more about Kota and Charlie’s life as well as how the MC handles the deception from Dakota. I give this a 4.5 star review and strongly suggest this book to anyone who likes to read about strong men and women who will do anything to protect those they love and consider their family, whether through blood or choice.

Holy Cow! Such a touching, angsty, and great book. It is probably going to be a memorable book for me for this year. It has such a touching story, and well rounded and developed characters.

Evangeline Elizabeth Hart, (Evie, Pixie) a young girl who sees color in everything she looks at. She is the daughter of a very religious mother and a father who wants to keep the peace with his wife, so he doesn’t argue with her or stick up for Evie when she gets into trouble. Evie’s mother is abusive and judgmental, but Evie doesn’t let it bother her or  lead her to be the same way. She loves chocolate, writing in her journals, sitting in her treehouse, and spending time with her best friend, Skylar, Sky. “Sky is a girl who needs weapons in her life”. According to Evie, “Sky is bloodthirsty and hates everyone”, especially Duke Knight.

Abel Adams, an orphan who is brought to the little town that Evie lives in to live with his uncle that he has never met. Abel’s parents died, and he has to move to this little town. He is angry and feels lost. He is the son of a couple who should have never fallen in love and had children. He is considered to be a monster child, even before he moved here, he had this hanging over him. Everyone in town looks at him and treats him as if he is a monster, except Mr. B and Evie. Although, Evie should stay away from him because her mother will never let them near each other. He is a loner, artist, and photographer, and Evie is his muse.

This was my first book to read by Saffron A. Kent, and I look forward to reading more. Especially God Amongst Men. I was hoping that she would write Sky and Duke’s story, and it looks like my hopes will be fulfilled in fall 2018. I give this book a 5 star review and would recommend it to anyone.

I loved this book and I loved the story. It has great characters, dialog, and a beautiful story. It shows how people are human and is a great story to read in this day and time with the hate that is going on in the world. It shows how hate can be destructive and hurtful. I loved one specific quote towards the end of the book, “It’s not the judgement of other we should be worried about. It’s the judgement we place on ourselves. It’s the fact that it’s you sitting in the dark, inside a small box, all alone. It’s you who’s gotta bear the shame of your sins while the world is moving”. It is such a powerful and honest statement.

This was a great story. I loved how the characters were written and how their meeting seemed to be fate,  and their lives ended up being so intertwined.

Aiken Fordham, a man who is looking for answers and his mother. Moves into a quint little place in Pennsylvania, where his mother grew up and returned to after leaving him and his father when Aiken was very young. He is now thirty years old, but he needs to know where his mom went, and why she left. Meeting the beautiful college professor next door, is just a bonus.

Claire Richards, a college professor, divorcee, woman who is still reeling from the death of her little girl three years ago. She just can’t seem to move on from the tragic day she lost her little girl. She needs closure and she never got it. Who was behind the terrible tragedy that took her little girl from her? She needs to be teaching this summer to keep her busy and her mind on other things. Her dog Smitty is friendlier than she is when she meets her new neighbor for the first time. She’s not ready to share anything about her life, especially with a stranger, and someone who makes her heart beat so quickly.

Aiken and Claire have a lot to work through if they want to share their lives and have their happily ever after. Claire’s best friend and boss, Mary, has Claire’s best interests in mind when she doesn’t schedule her to teach for the summer, and she will work behind Claire’s back to help Aiken win her heart. Can Aiken and Claire put their pasts behind them and live for the future? There are a few twists through this story and a bit of hotness as well. I give this book a 5 star review. It is well written and the characters are well formed and very likable.
