He doesn’t like to talk about his childhood or how his life changed one tragic night. He found the Kings of Retribution MC and has had a good life since he’s been a member. They are his family by choice.
I really enjoyed this story of two unlikely people meeting by chance and each finding the person that could heal their hearts. Lelani has a lot to overcome since she hasn’t felt as if she is wanted or cared about for a long time. It will take some convincing and a lot of looking inside herself to find the woman that she is meant to be and the life that she deserves. The secret she is keeping hidden could be lethal to the Kings, but she will soon learn that they will back her and keep her safe. I love Austin, he’s a tough guy with a soft heart and loyal man. His grandfather is a great character too. I loved the characters in this story as well as the story line. I give it a 5-star review and look forward to more in the series to read.

I really love dark stories and V. F. Mason knows how to write dark and twisted. I loved Lucian’s Reign and it helped to see some of the background of the Cortez family and the boys that will grow up to be the Four Dark Horsemen. I can’t wait for more in this series. I loved reading about the families of the Four Dark Horsemen and some of the background of their lives. I give this book a 5-star review and look forward to more books by V.F. Mason, she’s a favorite author of mine and I love reading anything by her.

About the Author: V.F.Mason always loved reading books and had quite a few fights with her momma over the genre she liked (romance, duh!) Now they have a lot of speculation and a notebook, but no one to answer for any of it. I give this story a 5-star review and am so looking forward to Tate’s story. It should be just as hot and crazy as the other two have been. Gotta love the Scottish Mafia, and these deliciously hot men created in Jane Henry’s mind.

Growing up in New York City, I used to walk the hot pavements in the melting heat of the long summers, and dream. Uptown to downtown, eastside to the westside, and underground to catch a subway racing out into the boroughs.
During my wanderings, my magic pencil spun out fantasies full of romance, with first meetings, heartbreaks, and reunions. Sometimes my boy crush (unrequited, of course) starred as the hero.
I grew up, and after a stint in art school, became a lawyer ‘cuz a woman’s got to make a living. I came from parents who fled to France as refugees, and as an attorney, I dedicated my work to helping survivors of trauma and persecution.
I believe in them. In their grit, in their determination to hold on, to pull through and, somehow, someway, to keep themselves intact, body and soul. Great characters, awesome plot and wonderful twists and turns keep the pages turning and burning up while reading. Not your typical Mafia story at all. The Gallagher family is powerful and has not had the best of records in marriages, but perhaps the next generation of family members can change the path. Melissa and Danny are made for each other and they are both determined to protect the other, at all costs. I love their story and I have a lady crush on Melissa. I give this story a 5-star review and want to state that I am so ready for Fragile Union. I have a feeling that there are secrets to be let loose in Holly and Romero’s story as well, that no one is expecting.

I raise a brow, she’s pissing me off with the attitude, but fuck, it’s a sight to behold. “Watch it,” I warn her, she needs to learn that there’s a time and place for her to stand her ground against me and right now isn’t it.
“No.” She juts out her chin. “You listen to me right now Danny Gallagher. I am your wife, not your motherfucking slave. I’m no lap dog. I’ll do whatever the fuck I want and that’s the way it’s going to be until you can learn to be a human and not act as though you own me.”
I take a deep breath as I pinch the bridge of my nose. God, she’s testing my patience. “I never said you were a slave and if I wanted a dog, I’d fucking get one.” Why, oh why did I end up with a crazy one? “Lis, you are my wife, but you have to realize that I am a Boss, that means when we have company you bite your tongue until we’re alone.”
“He’s right, sis, you can’t keep challenging him,” Zack says, shocking me, I didn’t think he would agree.
She turns her icy glare to him and I’m fucking relieved that I’m not the only one that’s about to feel her wrath. “Challenging him? That’s not what I’m doing. He thinks that I’m a vulnerable child that needs to be protected. I’ve been looking after myself for years and I don’t need a jumped up prat thinking that just because he’s the Boss that he can decide what’s best for me.”

Well that’s something I’ve never been called before.
My lips twitch, “Lis. Calm down,” I tell her, hoping that she’ll stop spitting fire and we can talk.
“Oh fuck,” Zack mutters. “Wrong thing to say.”
“Calm down?” She raises one of her perfectly shaped brows and crosses her arms over her chest, the hem of my t-shirt rising slightly with the movement showcasing her creamy thighs which makes my dick start to rise. “This is me calm.”
I can’t help but chuckle, “This is you calm?”
She nods vigorously, “You don’t see me throwing anything at you. Do you?”
I groan, she’s one of them. Violent and volatile. “Great,” I mumble, just what I fucking need.
Brooke is a Londoner born and raised. She lives with her husband and their daughter. She’s a foul mouthed, dirty minded weirdo. An introvert and would rather spend the night in front of the fire reading, rather than going out and partying.
“Have you ever sat and stared at a fire? Watching the flames as they lick the dark sky? More than one, actually. I saw the eyes of the devil. The man that has vowed to keep in his clutches. The man that has taken my soul and replaced it.”
Loyalty is a big deal with an MC. If there is no loyalty or trust, an MC has nothing. The Chicago Chapter of the Royal Devils MC is a brotherhood that has been through a lot and still has a way to go before they can rise above the past president and his deceptions. I loved Psycho; he is probably my favorite character. He’s such a lost soul and his pain is so real. Psycho had an ugly childhood, and he wears those scars mentally. There are certain things that the Royal Devil’s will not condone and when Psycho learns of trouble heading to their town, he will be sure to clear out the garbage.
This story tore my heart out when I read about Psycho’s childhood. He’s an awesome character that brings so much to the story and his pain is so real. I love that the brothers of the MC always have his back and protect him. It’s too bad that the bunnies have to be so evil. I love Psycho’s story and I hated to have it end. I am excited for Freak’s book next. I give this story a 5-star review and I am looking forward to more of the Royal Devil’s MC Chicago Chapter to come. I love Erin Trejo’s books; they are always full of interesting characters and great stories.
