Review of Lucian’s Reign by V.F. Mason @Author_VFMason

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5

Rebecca Esmeralda Hugh is an artist and is from an elite family in New York City. She was taken in by her grandmother, a very rich and well-known member of the elite in New York when tragedy struck her family. She has also become the obsession of two monsters. The only questions are, which one is worse, and which one will win the battle to claim her?

Lucian Cortez had a rough start in life, but when he finally found his family and was able to get out of the terrible world he was in, he became a man with a name and an empire to back him. He has dark secrets but when he finds out that Esmeralda is in the crosshairs of a monster, he will make her his wife and keep her safe, but will she agree to the marriage?

This is a dark, twisted story of two people that have had to survive without the comfort of love for a lot of their lives and need to find a way to show love. Esmeralda grew up in a loving household until tragedy struck and then her life was a battle to survive and make her grandmother happy. Lucian started out in a dark world and overcame the streets as a teen and lived with his father and grandfather, but not all families show love to each other and with all of the secrets in Lucian’s family surrounding his mother, Lucian has little respect for his father or grandfather, until he learns the truth. I really love dark stories and V. F. Mason knows how to write dark and twisted. I loved Lucian’s Reign and it helped to see some of the background of the Cortez family and the boys that will grow up to be the Four Dark Horsemen. I can’t wait for more in this series. I loved reading about the families of the Four Dark Horsemen and some of the background of their lives. I give this book a 5-star review and look forward to more books by V.F. Mason, she’s a favorite author of mine and I love reading anything by her.
