My ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Review of Priceless Ink (The Cortell Brothers, Book #5) by Giulia Lagomarsino @crzybookladyluv @EJBookPromos

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5

To say these two are from different worlds is putting it mildly.

Joe Cortell, the baby of the Cortell brothers, always ready with a joke, a smile or just to cause trouble, he’s the baby brother and has the job down to a T. Joe is always ready to help out his brothers, even if they don’t want his kind of help. He supports them all the time and when he needs their support, they let him down.

Sofia Lancaster comes from a very prominent Chicago family. However, even with the riches that her family has, she is not a happy woman. She has been catered to her whole life and doesn’t really know what to do in the real world. Needless to say, when she ends up in the small town living above a tattoo shop, she is beyond herself.

I love the Cortell brothers and while I’ve loved each of their books, I think Priceless Ink was probably my favorite. I still think that Joe’s love life should have been shared on the town FB page though. Joe and Sofia couldn’t come from more different worlds, but Joe is exactly the person for Sofia. He’s sweet, generous, funny, loyal and if you end up on his bad side, be prepared for some not so nice treatment. I love reading these books, they are full of funny scenes, wonderful characters, a loving family, and great love stories. The Cortell brothers are close, and they think they do no wrong, but the women in their lives prove to them that they each have some learning to do. Corduroy should really get his own book too, he is a part of the Cortell brothers by acquaintance and he is helpful when it comes to their relationships as well, LOL. I give this book a 5-star review and I am looking forward to Andrew’s book. If you’re looking for a book that will have you laughing, crying, wanting to yell at some brothers to support the main character, you will love Priceless Ink. It had me laughing from the beginning of the book, but there were some rough parts as well. Overall, it’s an awesome read.

Review of Betrayed Honor (Ivanov Crime Family, Book #3) by Zoe Blake @zoeblakebooks and @GiveMeBooksPR

⭐️ ⭐️⭐️ ⭐️ 4 out of 5

She’s the little sister of his boss’ and five years younger than him. She’s off limits in so many ways, but his heart can’t see any of those reasons. Mikhail is the head of security for the Ivanov’s and although he is trusted by them to keep the family safe and works with them on some of their business deals, he doesn’t have the pedigree to marry Nadia Ivanov, or to have her be his.

He’s the dark, quiet, handsome shadow that follows her wherever she goes, even if it’s only with his eyes. Nadia has had a crush on Mikhail Volkov since he started working for her family. As she got older and he rejected her more than once, she figured it was time to move on and find someone that would love her and care about her. The only problem was that when she put herself in danger and Mikhail barely made it to her in time, it changed their relationship completely.

I loved this story of the forbidden fruit finally being able to find the love of the person that they have wanted for so long. Nadia and Mikhail are perfect together and even though the whole family treated Nadia as an innocent, naïve young girl, she proved to all of them that she was fine with the family business and could find her path in life with the one man that would do anything to keep her safe and protected. Mikhail may be a big, tough, quiet Russian enforcer and security for the family, but his heart becomes soft mush when Nadia’s life is in jeopardy and he rescues her. I loved the Ivanov brother’s stories and Nadia’s story was just as action packed, entertaining, and enjoyable to read. I give this book a 4-star review and look forward to more books by Zoe Blake. She’s always a favorite author of mine.

𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐍𝐄𝐗𝐓 𝐁𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐄 𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐃 𝐈𝐒 𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄 – My Review of Break, B.A.D. Inc., Book #5

𝐀𝐥𝐥 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐦𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐧 𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁.𝐀.𝐃. 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 out of 5

Oliver Ward broke. The only woman that he had seen as his future had chosen someone else and she also found out how twisted Oliver’s mind was. He’s spent four months in an institution getting better and realizing that his life is not over and that he can move on without Jack. If everyone would just let him be and let him live his life, he’d be much happier. One “accidental” meeting could change everything for him and make his life even better, but is there a catch to it? Maybe the real Oliver can come and live his life.

Scarlett is having some issues with her career and is forced to take a break. With that forced break, she is thinking that maybe it’s time to make a change in her life and career. One patient and his father could ruin everything for Scarlett. Good thing she has a lifeline in Jack, but could their plan backfire or cause more harm than good?

I like Oliver and Scarlett’s story. They are both broken from their childhoods, but they actually understand each other and complete each other. A happenstance meeting could be what both of them need to move on in their lives and find that Happily Ever After, but they will have some issues to overcome first. I love the characters in this series. They are not always who you think they are. These guys have fought to get to the top, where they are, and they will continue to fight to stay there and to make sure that the people they love and consider family are safe and protected at all costs. The struggles that Oliver has to endure to get his life in order and find peace and happiness are heartbreaking, yet the outcome is beautiful and worth the fight that he has to go through. I give this story a 4-star review and suggest it to readers that are looking for a dark, heartbreaking story with a feel-good ending.

MY REVIEW: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5

Caterina Alfera is the princess, she’s the daughter of the once sitting “King” of the Society, but he stepped down when he met and married Caterina’s mother. The only problem is that you can never really leave the mafia and while Caterina and her mother believed that her father was no longer in the mafia or in the Society, he and his sons were still in that world. Caterina will do anything for her father, and he knows it, so when he finds himself in a situation, he makes a deal with the devil and puts her in the crosshairs.

Rex Valentino is the sitting “King” of the Society, he took over after his father was gunned down. He made a promise to his father that he would bring the family back together and protect everyone. However, he needs the once sitting King, Michael Alfera to help him bring the family together and since he has always wanted Caterina, he will use Michael’s situation to get her into his house. He will use the fact that someone is out to destroy and kill off all of the members of the Society, which should have been a secret, to get her to agree to his terms.

I really enjoyed this book and I look forward to the conclusion of the duet. Rex is very Alpha and manipulative, but he’s also very sexy and powerful. He made a promise to his father and wants to make sure that he can go through with it, but there are a lot of factors against him and the Society. He will have to fight hard to get what he wants, but at least Caterina has discovered that she doesn’t hate Rex. These two families have had some bad blood in the past, but they’ve also had a closeness like a family at one time too, and even if Michael does not sit on the board of the Society any longer, he is still part of it and a target is on his back as well as his three grown children’s. I give this story a 5-star review and I look forward to the conclusion of the duet. Caterina has to come to her senses and realize that her and Rex are meant to be This is a book full of danger, strong characters, manipulative men, and some sexy Kinbaku scenes. These two have such a strong reaction to each other and they will be so intense when they finally figure out their issues and find a relationship. They just need to get everyone else out of their way so that they can be alone and figure it out on their own and COMMUNICATE.

MY REVIEW: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5

A great ending to a great series. Malin and Emilia’s story brings everything together in the Behind Closed Doors series and it’s done very well.

Malin is a member of the Interpol rescue team that went into rescue six women being held by Santiago Gomez, the Columbian Drug lord. He’s known these men for years and has been in a lot of dangerous situations with them, but do the really know the real Malin? He’s keeping secrets and it’s about time for them to come to light. One rescued woman will be the key to helping him bring everything to light and getting into position to blow the whole Behind Closed Doors planning.

Emilia is the younger sister of Naomi Salazar, an investigative reporter that has also been taken by Santiago Gomez, but Emilia is a game changer and is not expected as being a hostage. She’s a woman that hides away in her home, teaches remotely, and keeps to herself. Her sister is really the only person has a lot of contact with her, but when she climbs out of the hole in the jungle and the man standing there waiting to rescue her brings out a whole different woman.

I loved this conclusion to this series. It tied everything up and ended with six couples that found their other halves and found a way to take down the corruption in so many countries and make peace with who they are and find a way to have a life that they can live with someone that makes the happy and helps them heal from so much in their pasts. I love the series, the characters, and the strength that Emilia finds when she climbs up out of that hole in the jungle. She may have had a rough childhood that made her hide herself away, but now that Malin has found her she’s grown so much and found her strength and the power within to help him do what needed to be done. I give this story a 5-star review and look forward to more books by Maggie Cole.

Review of MATEO (MORETTI (A RUTHLESS UNDERWORLD NOVEL) Book 1) by K. L. Savage @klsavage_author

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5

Mateo Moretti can’t remember most of his life since he was blown up by his stepson, but his heart knows that Natalia is his daughter, and he will protect her and make sure that she is taken care of no matter what. It’s funny what the mind forgets, but the heart doesn’t. Mateo knows some things, but he’s not sure how when he can’t remember most things in his past. He has a bond with the Ruthless Kings MC. They are now like family to him since they took him and nursed him back to life after the explosion that caused his amnesia.

Nora Thompson has not had an easy life. What she has and where she has is, that’s all her. She hasn’t had any help. She’s a double major and a double minor in college, smart beyond measure, and works very hard to stay under the radar. On her twenty-first birthday, her best friend and roommate convinces her to go out on the town to celebrate, something that Nora really doesn’t want to do. When she’s all dolled up and catches the eye of none other than Mateo Moretti, her whole life will change.

I loved this story Mateo and Nora. It’s dark, sexy and unexpected. Mateo is old enough to be Nora’s father, yet they work very well together. Mateo is such a great character and I loved reading his story. He’s dominant, powerful, sexy and very dangerous. His life hasn’t been easy, but hopefully his life will be back on track and he can take back what he lost after he was targeted by his stepson. I loved the scene of him escaping the compound with Maximo. It was a great scene, in the prologue. Mateo is another great book written by K. L. Savage. Their characters and stories are always a favorite to read for me. I give this story a 5-star review and I am so looking forward to more of the Moretti Syndicate in the future as well as any other books by K. L. Savage. Always a one-click favorite author of mine.

Review of Sins or Secrets by Khardine Gray @jennw23

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5

A second chance at love has never been so hard.

Quinn is a ballerina that has her sights set on The Julliard School for dance and she is headed there. The only problem is that her other plans have been shot down and her life is not what she was hoping for. Her life is being ruled by men that have no thought as to what she wants or her happiness. She will also learn so much more when she finally finds her freedom.

Logan is a Marine and when he opens his door while on leave one night all of his plans for the future are shot down. His life is not what he was planning for when he gets out of the Marines, but it’s not bad.

I loved this story. It’s dark, painful and hopeful. When Quinn’s aunt dies, she is given the chance to change her life and her future, but her past has such a hold on her that she’s afraid to take the leap that her Aunt Lilly is putting in front her. She’ll have a lot of choices to make now and will have to keep herself safe and out of the reach of her ex if she wants to move on and have the life she always wanted. Logan has opportunities that can make his life so much more and he has to make the right choice, but his past is back in front of him, and he isn’t sure if he’s making the right choice or not. I love the characters and the story. This is a great story with corrupt politicians, heavy handed fathers and two people that found their soul mates only to be pulled apart. I give it 5-stars and I am hoping for more with these characters. Bree and Ethan need a book. These two are too interesting not to have their story told.

Review of Claimed (Red Horseman MC Duet, Book 2) by Raven Amor @GiveMeBooksPR

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5

Such a great conclusion to the story of Rae & Ice. These two are off the charts together and when Ice loses Rae his whole world turns darker than it already was. It takes him a long time to get her back and when he does there is so much hidden between them that it may be impossible for them to get back to where they were or to even move on together.

This story was just as explosive as Captured, Book 1. It has the danger, intrigue and explosive chemistry between Rae and Ice, but it also has more. It is heartbreaking, twisted and unpredictable. The characters are great, and the Red Horsemen are extremely loyal. They will follow Ice anywhere and have his back the whole time, even when he’s going off the rails because he can’t find Rae. I was so happy with this book and then I read the ending and the final pages, and I was so upset again. Ms. Amor is a complete tease as she says at the end and I am excited for A Price to Pay, but I’m not, because I’m also afraid of what it has in store for me. I love the characters, the book, the story and the tease at the end. I give this book a 5-star review and am so looking forward to more from Ms. Amor. Even if it does kill me. I had a hard time putting this book down just like I did the first book and stayed up way past my bedtime to finish it. It’s a wild ride that pulls you in and won’t let you go.

Review of Collided: A Dark Mafia Arranged Marriage Romance by Anna Ray @HiddenGemsBooks

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 out of 5

Chiara Fiore is the daughter of a mafia family that is on the brink of destruction. Her family needs money and they have been approached with an offer that is hard to refuse. There is a twist to this age-old story though, and Chiara could let her family crumble if she makes the wrong decision.

Luca Mendacius has offered to give money to the Fiore family to come back from the brink of destruction, but he wants the hand of the beautiful Chiara Fiore in marriage for his offer. He’s a self-made man as a wealthy tech genius in Sicily. He’s also a man that has returned home to Chicago to regain what should have been his years ago. He’s sexy, rich and looking for vengeance.

This was a good story. I liked most of the characters and the I liked the story line. There are some twists and turns that were unexpected and made the story even better. Chiara is a smart woman. She’s strong willed, smart and won’t take anything from anyone. When she and Luca are alone her walls start to come down a bit and her soft side shows. I enjoyed the book and give it a 4-star review. This was my first time reading a book by Anna Ray, but I look forward to reading more of her books.

Review of: Savage Empire (Broken Cross Series, Book #1) by Bri Blackwood @briblackwood2 @GiveMeBooksPR

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5

When her family’s business is in trouble he’ll step up and offer to help, but at a cost.

When Anais Monroe’s family’s business is in danger of going under, her father turns to a very rich family for some help. She is the Social Media Director of Monroe Media Agency, and her father is the CEO. When times get hard for the company and they aren’t making the money they need to cover their expenses, Anais’ father turns to a man whose family is very powerful and has rumors surrounding them and their business ties.

Damien Cross is a very rich and powerful man. His family owns a lot of New York and they are very powerful in the business world. When James Monroe asks for Damien’s help, he gives it, but when James can’t fulfill his part of the deal, Damien will put something else on the table, but without James’ knowledge.

This was a really good start to the Broken Cross Series. The book is full of power, danger, a very Alpha male, and secrets. I loved the story and can’t wait for the next book in the series. I think I’ve found myself another new great author to stalk. The story was interesting and intriguing with danger lurking constantly. The deal between Damien and Anais gets cut short, but I don’t think these two are done. Especially with the way this book ends. I have a feeling that things are just getting started for these two and I am highly anticipating the next book. I give this story a 5-star review and suggest that if you enjoy Dark Billionaire romances, you should pick up Savage Empire. I look forward to reading more of Damien and Anais’ story and finding out what’s going on after the ending of this book. Who is more dangerous, Damien Cross, or the person that has eyes on Anais?
