My 5-Star Review of – Love, Loyalty and Mayhem: A Motorcycle Club Romance Anthology @GiveMeBooksPR #LLMAnthology19.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 Fabulous Stars out of 5-stars

Love, Loyalty _ Mayhem Full Wrap

An awesome group of MC authors got together and wrote some pretty steamy stories. Why have I not read some of these MC series books? I’ll have to remedy that in the near future.

20 stories of Love, Loyalty and Mayhem, men who are powerful, destructive, lethal, and loyal and will protect what is theirs at all costs. Women who are not afraid to tell their men to back off or let to let them be the one to protect them when they need to.

All of these stories left me wanting more of the characters I read as well as wanting to devour the series they’re related to. I’ve read some of these MC series, but not all. I highly recommend this anthology to anyone who enjoys reading MC, big bad bikers, sassy women who know how to take care of themselves, women who are in need of one of these big bad bikers to help them out and to save them from others who are hurting them, or if you like suspense, stories of love, loyalty and mayhem. The proceeds of this anthology go to Bikers Against Bullies, a great cause.

I give this Anthology, and each story that is included 5-stars. I look forward to reading more stories about these MC’s and meeting more characters who fight for what they believe in, even if they are not always on the side of the law.

VENOM, Detective Jason Smith book 9

From #1 best-selling author: Stewart Giles comes a new addition to the popular Detective Jason Smith series.

Still recovering from an accident, DS Jason Smith receives a strange phone call: ‘I want to live.’ The number is unknown, and Jason puts it down to a hoax call. While doing a favour for DCI Chalmers the phone call suddenly begins to make sense and Jason is once again on the trail of a psychopath.

Can Smith stop this maniac before more people die? Who is it and why does he have Smith’s number? As the team struggle to find some kind of a lead Jason realises that it may not be his own life in danger this time but he is in danger of losing someone else he cares about.

This is a unique story that has a steadily increasing pace that continues to deliver all the way to the very last page.

THE SETTING
At the confluence of the River Ouse and Foss, York is the traditional county town of the historic county of Yorkshire. York Minster and a variety of cultural and sporting activities make it a popular tourist destination.

He has suffered many losses in his short life and is now a dedicated detective. PSYCHOLOGICAL THRILLERS

Miranda

Miranda sequel coming soon
Stewart Giles author photo - newStewart Giles – Author Bio

After reading English at 3 Universities and graduating from none of them, I set off traveling around the world with my wife, Ann, finally settling in South Africa, where we still live.

In 2014 Ann dropped a rather large speaker on my head and I came up with the idea for a detective series. DS Jason Smith was born. Smith, the first in the series was finished a few months later.

3 years and 8 DS Smith books later, Joffe Books wondered if I would be interested in working with them. As a self-published author, I agreed. However, we decided on a new series – the DC Harriet Taylor Cornwall series.

The Beekeeper was published and soon hit the number one spot in Australia. The second in the series, The Perfect Murder did just as well.

I continued to self-publish the Smith series and Unworthy hit the shelves in 2018 with amazing results. I therefore made the decision to self-publish The Backpacker which is book 3 in the Detective Harriet Taylor series which was published in July 2018.

After The Backpacker I had an idea for a totally new start to a series – a collaboration between the Smith and Harriet thrillers and The Enigma was born. It brings together the broody, enigmatic Jason Smith and the more level-headed Harriet Taylor.

Miranda is something totally different. A stand-alone psychological thriller, it is a real departure from anything else I’ve written before.

Dropzone, book 2 in the Smith/Harriet series is now available and Venom, book 9 in the Smith series will be released in July 2019. I have plenty more books planned to include, by popular request, a sequel to Miranda.

My 5-Star Review of Venom

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 5-bright, shining stars out of 5

We see a bit of a different side of DS Smith in this book. While I’ve seen him be upset about the cases in other books, I don’t remember him being as upset as he was in this book. He will have to make sure that he can figure this one out quickly as there is a lot at stake in this case. He takes his cases very personally, but this one really did him in.

Once again DS Smith is involved in a heinous case where he has to follow the clues, of which there are very few. He will dig very deep in this case to find the person responsible for the brutal killings that are happening in DS Smith’s town.

I loved this story and the characters are always so great to read. I enjoy the way that the characters work together to get the results needed to solve the case. The depth the detectives will go to get results is always interesting to me. I enjoy a good sleuth story and this one did not disappoint. I thought I had the criminal sorted out but then I second guessed myself only to find out that I was spot on.

My favorite DS Smith book by far. This book was full of suspense and a twist, as well as gave me the creeps, but I loved it. I give this book 5-bright, shining stars and cannot recommend it enough to readers who enjoy suspense-filled murder mysteries, with a group of detectives who work tirelessly to solve a case.

My 5-Star Review of The Score by S. Nelson @GiveMeBooksPR and @authorsnelson1

The Score Now Live

Review of The Score (Massey Security Duet, Book 1) by S. Nelson

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5 stars

Cara Dessoye will meet her match in The Assignment, and her life will forever change in The Score. Ford needs a way to make Cara realize that she needs to change and realize that her actions has consequences and that her decisions have an effect on her family as well as herself. Even her sister Emily is worried about her and has made a decision that will affect everyone in her family. Has she gone too far or has her decision made her family see the light?

Ford Massey is still reeling from his sister’s death and the comparisons between Julia and Cara are driving him mad. He has to find a way to make Cara see that she is headed towards a life of destruction.

I loved this conclusion to Cara and Ford’s story. The fact that they were finally able to see that they were made for each other and that their lives could be much better with each other in it. The secrets that they are each harboring will be shared between them and they will find their way to move on with their lives. Cara found her way back to living her life. She was able to follow her dream and make it come true. Even though Cara made Ford share his secret and Ford forced Cara’s secret out of her, their sharing helps their healing.Cara and Ford are great together, the fact they don’t take anything from the other and the sassiness of Cara make their connection much better.

I give this story a 5-star review and highly recommend it to readers who like sassy women, Alpha males, and suspenseful stories with a twist. I really hope there will be a story for Emily and Owen because there are some unanswered questions about them and their relationship.

Best Served Cold

Crime Fiction

Synopsis

DCI Kirsty Savidge and her team (MCTF – Major Crimes Task Force) are tasked with solving the murder of Avril Webb, the third member of a vicious, bullying school gang from twenty-five years ago, to be killed in a matter of weeks. Although two previous deaths are brought to her attention by pathologist Dr Benedict Aldredge (Benny), they have been ruled a drowning and a gang-related murder in another district. Once Kirsty is aware of them, her detective instincts begin to kick-in, but because of the different Modi Operandi, she’s not sure she’ll be able to convince her superior Chief Superintendent Alison Fry, of a connection. The two women have history and cooperation is rarely a given. However, during the interviews into Avril’s death the remaining members of the gang are adamant about a link between the deaths and press Kirsty to investigate further. This gives Kirsty a legitimate reason to ask for the other two cases to be reviewed although none of those in the higher echelons would want to hear the term ‘serial killer’.

Another murder occurs quite soon, again with a different MO. At the same time, Kirsty becomes aware she’s had an intruder in her home, but she and DS Danny Hewitt decide to put off any investigation until the current case is finished. Also, Chief Superintendent Fry appears to be having some personal problems when Kirsty spots her wrist wrapped in bandages and bruising on her neck. The inclement weather is also having an effect on the investigation, as some people are having to work from home, including Savidge and Fry, who finds herself stranded at Kirsty’s cottage because of the heavy snowfall. Fry brought news Kirsty could proceed with linking all the cases. Members of the now covert group (nobody is aware in the present that these people are still linked and running false businesses for their leader, Chris Shaw), are now beginning to take care of their own security turning down protective custody. The police become suspicious.

Throughout, there is a running commentary from the murderer, about his methods and reasoning. Kirsty has her suspicions and is convinced one of the gang members is carrying out the murders. Only when information from those badly bullied at school does the method of the killings fall into place. Background information on two of suspects is proving illusive. A failed copy-cat attack narrows Kirsty’s choice to one and covert surveillance is set-up. At the time of Avril’s funeral the next day, it’s revealed the man watching the suspect has been murdered and the suspect has disappeared. He’s gone to Plan B – murdering the rest of the gang at the funeral. He kills two more using sniper-fire, then escapes. At the airport he is apprehended and held at gunpoint by two armed response officers, but is then shot himself when one officer mistakes a remote-control for the handle of a gun. The suspect’s lap-top reveals all, in the form of two books so all questions can be answered at a meal supplied by the Chief Superintendent. At the end of the book we are left wondering whose Kirsty’s intruder was and also who had leaked information to allow a copy-cat attack.

Pat Adams-Wright was born in Halifax, West Yorkshire, UK, on the 15th October 1954, in Wellesley Barracks, to a sergeant major father and a working mother. Teacher trained in Liverpool, she actually taught very little during the austere period for practical subjects, doing any work she could find to keep the wolf from the door. However, this did provide plenty of experience and writing material. Finally settled into a teaching job, disaster struck after an accident left her disabled. After many years of using writing to distract her from pain, she successfully completed her debut novel, Run, which was published on the 18th April, 2015.

My Review:

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 out of 5 stars

A woman is murdered in her own garage upon arriving home from a night out with friends. The murderer has posed her body suggestively and it’s not his first murder. As DCI Kirsty Savidge and her team are investigating this murder a man is murder. These two victims are link in their past. As the investigation goes on, DCI Savidge is informed that there were two other murders recently of two men who are of the same age as these two victims. Do they have a serial killer on their hands in Halifax?

I liked the plot of the story and the characters worked very well together. I enjoyed the suspense and the unfolding of the story and the crime. It was perfectly paced and the way that the plot unfolded and showed who the murderer was kept me wondering until almost the end of the book. I think I figured it out just before DCI Savidge.

I give this story a 4-star review and recommend it to readers who like psychological thrillers, police procedural and stories with twists.

Review of: HOT SEAL Hero by Lynn Raye Harris @GiveMeBooksPR and @LynnRayeHarris

RB Banner

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5 stars

I love the HOT members and their partners.

Ryan “Dirty Harry” Callahan had a bad night and the pounding on his door is not making today great either. The ringing of the doorbell is almost as bad as the pounding in his head. When he gets up to see who is making his head hurt worse, he’s struck by the beauty of the woman ringing his doorbell and waking him up.

Chloe Cooper is moving into her new rental, but the moving truck can’t get into her driveway with the neighbor’s truck in the way. The rude mover is making her feel uncomfortable with the way that he is staring at her and talking to her chest, so she has no problem with walking away to ask the neighbor to move his truck.

HOT SEAL Hero Teaser 2

Chloe is a woman who is fighting to regain her independence after escaping a bad relationship with a man who was not only violent to her but is also in a militia and against the government. She is ready to be on her own and find herself as well as take care of herself, but after meeting Dirty, will she be alone for long?

I love Dirty and his team. They are a family and will watch each other’s backs without question. If one of the team meets someone that they care about, the whole team will fight for them as well. That’s a true family. Even when these guys could get into trouble for going off on their own to save one of their own, they are all in and no one asks questions, they are all there to help no matter the consequences. Chloe learns pretty quickly that trust and acceptance can be quick with the right group of people.

I give this story a 5-star review and look forward to more of the series with Neo’s story hopefully next.

Review of In Moonlight and Memories (Volumes 1 – 3) by Julie Ann Walker

Julie Ann Walker

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5 stars

Beautifully tragic!

A beautifully tragic love story that will leave you raw and in tears.

Cassius Clay Armstrong is a young man who is battling with his mind and his heart to give Magnolia May Carter the life she deserves, even if she is not aware that it’s also the life that she wants. Cassius “Cash” strolled into Magnolia “Maggie’s” life when she was but 15 and his heart found her and wouldn’t let go, but life has a way of tricking you sometimes. He knew that he was not good enough for her and he was also a young man who carried shame for his home life. He didn’t want Maggie to know that his father was a terrible man who had no love for him.

Magnolia May Carter was a young girl who had no felt alone in her world, until one boy found her in the library and helped her realize that life could continue even with the heartache that she was carrying around. At 14 Maggie thought that no cared, and she was so lonely and depressed that life had no meaning any longer, until Lucien Dubois walks into the library and finds her in the Harry Potter section. The find that they have a lot in common and their friendship starts strong and easy.

Lucien Dubois is the outcast of their school and always being bullied by the kids at school. He found peace when he was in the library, writing poetry, or playing his guitar and making music. A humble young man who lost his father at a young age, raised by his mom in the bayou, who worked hard so that she and Luc could survive. When his mother takes up with the Mayor of New Orleans and becomes the talk of the town due to a man who will go to any length to get what he wants. He is a man in power and uses that power to keep others under his thumb.

This is a story of life, love, loss, and tragedy. The characters are vulnerable, raw, and colorful. My favorite quote of all the books is from Cash in the final chapter, “A story of friendship and sacrifice and redemption and love. I don’t suppose most folks could ask for more than that.” This sums up the story completely for me. I’ve read Julie Ann Walker’s Black Knights Inc., series and loved them. I found this story to be so different from that series but loved it just as much. I give this story 5-stars and suggest you one-click this story and read it.

Review of A Woman Like Her (Disavowed Series #1) by Hannalore Jones @HiddenGemsBooks @HannaloreJones

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5 Stars

Seri is a lost woman. She’s alone in the world and hurting. The only way she can bury the hurt is with one-night stands, and booze. She lost both of her parents and has no one to turn to or watch her back. Now the US Government wants her help in bringing down a terrorist and is blind-sided by them to get her attention.

Sam Lucas is undercover and is assigned to Seri. Little does he know that this woman will break him, and he won’t have a chance against her. His friends and colleagues keep telling him to keep his wits about him, but what they don’t realize is that he never had a chance again Seri.

This story was full of suspense and tension. I loved it. The characters are strong and fun to read. Seri and Sam had a lot of chemistry. I give this story 5-stars and I look forward to the next book in the Disavowed Series: A Man Like Him. This was my first book by Hannalore Jones, but I am looking forward to reading more of her stories in the near future. If you are looking for a book with suspense, sassy women, and bada** spies, then you should one-click this book today and read it.

⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars out of 5

Tristan “Sorrow” has a job to do, but he doesn’t have to be happy about where that job is. As long as he completes the job and doesn’t screw it up, he’ll be fine. No matter how much he tells himself this, his heart wont’ allow it. Sorrow hates New York and the fact that he has to pick up Sophia and take her back to New Orleans to her future husband doesn’t make him any happier to do this job.

Sophia “Queen” was promised to a Mafia leader by her parents so that they could climb the ladder of luxury. They promised Marcus King a man in his 50’s that he could marry Sophia when she turns eighteen and Arthur has been contacted to bring the girl to Marcus. Sophia was under the impression that her parents had made a different plan for her, because her father promised her that she would not be sent to Marcus.

This is the final book in the series. Such a tragic ending to this story, but a beautiful ending to the series. The Cavalieri Della Morte may be a group of lethal, dark, dangerous men, but they all learn that they have a heart and are able to care for others outside the brotherhood. The women that come into their lives are proof of it, but this story is also proof of it. The fact that Sophia “Queen” is accepted into their lives and that these men won’t let her leave them or the world because of her broken heart.

I give this story a 5-star review and highly recommend readers to one-click this book as well as the others in the Cavalieri Della Morte Series and read them. They are full of darkness, suspense, twists, and awesome characters.

Blog Tour and Review of Animal’s Reformation (Insurgents MC Series) by Chiah Wilder @chiah_wilder @EJBookPromos

Title: Animal’s Reformation
Series: Insurgents MC Series
Author: Chiah Wilder
Genre: MC Romance
Release Date:  June 18, 2019

Sometimes the last person you want to be with is the one you can’t be without.

A member of the Insurgents MC, Animal is a rough, free-loving biker. Hanging with his brothers, riding his customized Harley, and partying with the ladies are his idea of the ideal life.

Years ago, he made a stupid mistake with a woman he barely knew, but he pays the child support every month and sends cards and presents to his out-of-state daughter on her birthday and on holidays.

He doesn’t want a steady woman, and he certainly isn’t ready to settle down and have a family. Life is just too good now, and there are always so many women who want to come and play with this rugged biker.

Then one afternoon, the mother of his child struts into the clubhouse with his daughter in tow and tells him she’s done. She walks away, leaving Animal and Lucy staring at each other.

What’s he supposed to do? He knows about bikes and hard partying, not seven-year-old girls.

He has to change his ways, and his new hot next-door neighbor isn’t helping to keep his libido in check. The way her long dark hair swings just above her sweet behind has him thinking all kinds of nasty thoughts, but she doesn’t give him the time of day.

What’s up with that?

Olivia Mooney is very aware of her neighbor’s good looks and his finely chiseled body, but she doesn’t want to get involved. He doesn’t realize it, but she’s his daughter’s tutor at school, and she can’t get involved. She spends her nights thinking about him and chatting with an intriguing man on an after dark dating site.

Then a series of murders occur in the surrounding counties, and it looks like they are creeping closer to Pinewood Springs. At first the cops are stumped, but over time a pattern begins to emerge: the women all used an after dark dating site.

As fear and danger slink closer, Olivia is thrown into the arms of the sexy biker, forever changing their lives.

The Insurgents MC series are standalone romance novels. This is Animal’s story. This book contains violence, abuse, strong language, and steamy/graphic sexual scenes. It describes the life and actions of an outlaw motorcycle club. HEA. No cliffhangers.

Sexy Siren’s Book Blog – “Suspenseful Romantic MC Read – Absolutely Loved It!!”

Michele DelRay – “I could not get enough of this book. I loved every single page.”

Amazon Review – “Loved it! Great story……drama and hot romance”

Chiah Wilder writes about rough, sexy men who know how to treat their women.

Always a lover of books, she began writing at a young age and continued through college with collections of short stories. Figuring she had to grow up and get a “real” job, her writing was placed on the back burner.

Her love of reading has always been center front in her life. Chiah’s love of bad boys both in and out of fiction has inspired her books. She loves an alpha male whose softer side is brought out by a passionate, spirited woman. In fiction there are no rules or boundaries, and fantasies can go as far as the characters want to take them. Steamy, romances with tough, sexy bad boys are her guilty pleasure along with brownies, cheddar cheese, and movie marathons.

Animal will face a few new challenges in his life. He will have to change things to meet these challenges. However, when a new neighbor, Olivia, moves in and needs his help, he’s more than willing to help her out, but he has to keep things neighborly and not revert to his old ways. He has Lucy to worry about now and he is determined to get her to trust him and believe that he won’t walk away from her.

Lucy and Olivia are becoming fast friends and Animal has no choice but to include Olivia when Lucy asks, not that he minds including Olivia.

I liked this story and the commitment and care that Animal shows Lucy is wonderful. For a young girl who was not always shown care by her own mother, it’s hard for her to change her way of thinking and to trust an outsider. Even though Animal is her father, he is still an outsider to her. Lucy will have to overcome some obstacles before she will fully trust her father, but with the patience and care that he shows, it will come eventually. Animal and Olivia are pretty much made for each other and their love story will develop once Olivia overcomes her past and demons.

If you like MC stories and enjoy reading about tough guys being brought to their knees by little girls and sexy women, then you should one-click this book and read it.

Review of Dropzone by Stewart Giles @book_n_all @stewartgiles

One in a million odds and it happened to Brandon Stone. Not only a double malfunction, but two other deaths of people who were on the plane and were familiar with the Fulford Skydiving Club. Coincidence or bad luck for the club?

DC Whitton is reinstated after she killed a man on duty and has been called to the Fulford Skydiving Club to investigate a death of a skydiver. It will take the entire team plus the help of DC Harriet Taylor from Trottertown to get to the bottom of this case. DS Smith is back as well and doing his usual detective work. He won’t rest until the case is solved.

I really liked the twists and turns in this book. The characters are entertaining, interesting, and full of life. The suspense of who could have pulled this off will pull you in from the beginning and won’t let you go until the end of the book. The Detectives all work tirelessly to find the killer and they bounce their ideas off each other until something makes sense. The comments that the other detectives make towards Smith can be a bit mean at times, but Smith takes most of them with a grain of salt, unless it’s Whitton who makes the comment.

I enjoyed reading this book and give it a 5-star review. I like the DS Smith books and look forward to more of his stories, as well as the DC Harriet Taylor’s appearance in these books and her own stories. If you like crime, police procedural, detectives who work a little outside of the lines, then you should pick up this book with a one-click and read it.
