ARC Review of “Villains and Vodka”, by Alta Hensley @GiveMeBooksBlog @AltaHensley

Two people with a dark past who find each other and find their light. Harley Crow is dangerous, dark, and ruthless, but Marlowe Masters has seen the real Harley. She is a waitress at a mens club and sees him there a lot. She can’t help but be drawn to him, and want him. Harely believes he is the dark man that he portrays, but once he has Marlowe in his clutches his outlook changes.

This is the first book I have read by Alta Hensley, but I have to say that it will not be the last. This book is dark, thrilling, and beautiful all at the same time. I love the way that Harley and Marlowe connect and find their safety net in each other. The characters are well developed and well written in this book. Their pasts are dark, but they still have the ability to love. That’s the beautiful part of this book. The fact that they may be broken, but they are not destroyed completely.

I have to agree with Alta’s disclaimer on this book, “If you don’t like a splash of shock, a dash of taboo, and a heavy dose of sex, then don’t take a sip of this TOP SHELF cocktail”. You will get all of this and more reading “Villains and Vodka”.
