Review of Mac: A Scottish Mafia Romance (Mountain Men) by Jane Henry

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5

Mac Cowen the youngest son of the Cowen Clan is looking for vengeance for a wrong done to his family and his little sister. He has a plan and is ready to put it into effect. The woman he wants to get close to is the daughter of their rivals, the Aitkens family.

Bryn Aitken is not a fan of her father or brother. She knows that she and her sisters have always been considered pawns in the family, so she has been planning to set herself up to be able to survive on her own and separate from her family at the earliest chance she can get.

I love Mac. He’s a man with a plan, but then his plan gets blown to bits by the beautiful Bryn when he gets to know her. For a man that had no plans to marry or have a family, his life as he knows it will be turned upside down by one beautiful, independent, sassy woman that is trying to survive her life with a family that has no love or care for her. The Cowen Clan has a spy amongst them, and they are trying to figure out who that might be. When they get close, or think they are close to uncovering the spy, the person will slip out of their hands and hide away. Now they have a lot of speculation and a notebook, but no one to answer for any of it. I give this story a 5-star review and am so looking forward to Tate’s story. It should be just as hot and crazy as the other two have been. Gotta love the Scottish Mafia, and these deliciously hot men created in Jane Henry’s mind.

A ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Review of Unexpected Union (The Made Series, Book #2) by Brooke Summers AVAILABLE TODAY! @Author_BrookeS @TheNextStepPR

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5

Nothing is as it appears on the outside. After one night of letting loose, Melissa Harding’s life will take a turn, and nothing will be as she had planned.

Melissa Harding has secrets that she would rather never come to light, some are too hard to talk about and others could put her in a dark light in the eyes of others. She’s been taking care of herself for a long time and her life is not what it appears on the outside. She doesn’t let anyone in, and she has no plans to change that now.

Danny Gallagher has seen the beautiful Melissa many times in his bar now and tonight will be the night that he will convince her to give him one night. He’s a powerful man and he may not know who Melissa is, but she definitely knows who Danny Gallagher is.

I am loving The Made Series! Not only are the men powerful, dangerous and sexy, but the women can give them a run for their money. Great characters, awesome plot and wonderful twists and turns keep the pages turning and burning up while reading. Not your typical Mafia story at all. The Gallagher family is powerful and has not had the best of records in marriages, but perhaps the next generation of family members can change the path. Melissa and Danny are made for each other and they are both determined to protect the other, at all costs. I love their story and I have a lady crush on Melissa. I give this story a 5-star review and want to state that I am so ready for Fragile Union. I have a feeling that there are secrets to be let loose in Holly and Romero’s story as well, that no one is expecting.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Review of Psycho: Royal Devil’s Chicago by Erin Trejo @trejo_erin

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5

“Have you ever sat and stared at a fire? Watching the flames as they lick the dark sky? More than one, actually. I saw the eyes of the devil. The man that has vowed to keep in his clutches. The man that has taken my soul and replaced it.”

Loyalty is a big deal with an MC. If there is no loyalty or trust, an MC has nothing. The Chicago Chapter of the Royal Devils MC is a brotherhood that has been through a lot and still has a way to go before they can rise above the past president and his deceptions. I loved Psycho; he is probably my favorite character. He’s such a lost soul and his pain is so real. Psycho had an ugly childhood, and he wears those scars mentally. There are certain things that the Royal Devil’s will not condone and when Psycho learns of trouble heading to their town, he will be sure to clear out the garbage.

This story tore my heart out when I read about Psycho’s childhood. He’s an awesome character that brings so much to the story and his pain is so real. I love that the brothers of the MC always have his back and protect him. It’s too bad that the bunnies have to be so evil. I love Psycho’s story and I hated to have it end. I am excited for Freak’s book next. I give this story a 5-star review and I am looking forward to more of the Royal Devil’s MC Chicago Chapter to come. I love Erin Trejo’s books; they are always full of interesting characters and great stories.

Review of Levi: Untamed Sons MC, Book #4 by Jessica Ames @JessicaAmesAuth and @GiveMeBooksPR

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 out of 5

He’s the secretary of the Untamed Sons MC. The youngest officer of the club. He can’t help that his heart wants the woman he’s fallen in love with, a club bunny. Levi’s heart is determined that she will be his. His brothers want him to be sure because claiming an ol’ lady has consequences.

She has secrets. Noelle’s heart has chosen Levi as the one that has her heart, but she’s been with the Untamed Sons for a reason, and it wasn’t to fall in love. Will Levi still want her or love her if her secrets come to light?

There has been a lot of betrayal in the Untamed Sons recently and there is more to be discovered. When the betrayal comes to light there will be more than one person affected by it. Can the Sons overcome the betrayal and secrets to find a way to move on? Secrets, betrayal, bad seeds, and danger lurk around every corner. Can the Sons heal from the deception, pain, and betrayal once everything is in the open and the trouble has been dealt with? I enjoyed Levi and Noelle’s story. There is pain and trouble lurking but these two can heal each other and find their trust and love again, they may have to work at it, but it can be done. I give this story a 4-star review and suggest it to readers that enjoy MC romance, danger, unpredictable couples and great characters.

Review of Requiem of the Soul (The Society Trilogy, Book 1) by Nathasha Knight and A. Zavarelli @azavarelli & @natashaknight13

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5

“The doors close behind us, that final divide between what was and what will be.”

A Sovereign Son, Santiago De La Rosa has chosen the woman to be his wife. He’s was a direct heir to a founding father of Imperium Valens Invictum. He has a lot of power and yet he is not someone that is in the public eye much nor is he held in high regard by some members.

Ivy Moreno is the daughter of A Society member, but her family is not high in the rankings. Her mother is from a higher-ranking family and was a gift to Ivy’s father. The Moreno family is not a tight knit family. Ivy would normally not be the top choice for a union with a top-ranking member. She has imperfections, but Santiago is not aware of all of them.

An interesting read with imperfect characters, deceitful family members, and the need for revenge. Can two people make a life and be happy when their marriage starts with secrets, the need for revenge, or the hatefulness of their families? Will Santiago find his heart and the ability to come around and make a happy life with Ivy? I like most of the characters in this story, but there are a few I would like to see be put in their place or taken care in the way that these guys can. I give this story a 5-star review and look forward to more of the next book Reparation of Sin.

My Review: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5

He was once known as Il Mostro, The Butcher among others, but he’s changed, and he lives his life on the straighter path now. He was once the head of the famiglia, but that didn’t protect him or his family and the day he lost them is the day his life changed forever. He lost everything that day and the days after were pure torture. Donatello Vanici had it all and lost it all. Now his life is making sure that his nephew Vincenzo finishes medical school and has a good life. The only problem is that he could lose Vincenzo too, and it would be the last straw for Donatello.

She wasn’t wanted by her parents. She survived an illness, but it left her mute and her parents saw her as damaged and a pawn. The day that she was taken to Donatello’s house and left was the day her life started to look up, but that changed after Donatello lost his family. He needed to hurt, so he decided to hurt Safiya by selling her at the age of 12. She only tasted a loving house and family for a short time until she was rescued by the Pakhan, Mescha Stepanov and once again her life has taken a turn for the better. The only problem is that Safiya is having a hard time accepting that it will last. The only way she can move on and accept her life with the Stepanov’s is to see the past dead and buried. She has changed her name, but her past won’t let her go. She is no longer Safiya Mangenello, she is now Willow Stepanova.

This story was dark, twisted, and brutal. Donatello was a man in charge until he lost everything and became a broken man that just wanted to live his life and protect his nephew. When he and Vin go a debutante ball for Willow Stepanova, Don finds his world crashing down on him once again and he could lose everything this time, including his mind. His fall won’t be of his own making in the end, but he will get vengeance on the man that has ruined so much of his life. This story ends on a cliff hanger and is full of action, twisted scenes, page turning suspense and great characters. I give this story a 5-star review and am now I am anxious for Shattered Throne to come out.

My ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Review of Priceless Ink (The Cortell Brothers, Book #5) by Giulia Lagomarsino @crzybookladyluv @EJBookPromos

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5

To say these two are from different worlds is putting it mildly.

Joe Cortell, the baby of the Cortell brothers, always ready with a joke, a smile or just to cause trouble, he’s the baby brother and has the job down to a T. Joe is always ready to help out his brothers, even if they don’t want his kind of help. He supports them all the time and when he needs their support, they let him down.

Sofia Lancaster comes from a very prominent Chicago family. However, even with the riches that her family has, she is not a happy woman. She has been catered to her whole life and doesn’t really know what to do in the real world. Needless to say, when she ends up in the small town living above a tattoo shop, she is beyond herself.

I love the Cortell brothers and while I’ve loved each of their books, I think Priceless Ink was probably my favorite. I still think that Joe’s love life should have been shared on the town FB page though. Joe and Sofia couldn’t come from more different worlds, but Joe is exactly the person for Sofia. He’s sweet, generous, funny, loyal and if you end up on his bad side, be prepared for some not so nice treatment. I love reading these books, they are full of funny scenes, wonderful characters, a loving family, and great love stories. The Cortell brothers are close, and they think they do no wrong, but the women in their lives prove to them that they each have some learning to do. Corduroy should really get his own book too, he is a part of the Cortell brothers by acquaintance and he is helpful when it comes to their relationships as well, LOL. I give this book a 5-star review and I am looking forward to Andrew’s book. If you’re looking for a book that will have you laughing, crying, wanting to yell at some brothers to support the main character, you will love Priceless Ink. It had me laughing from the beginning of the book, but there were some rough parts as well. Overall, it’s an awesome read.

Review of Betrayed Honor (Ivanov Crime Family, Book #3) by Zoe Blake @zoeblakebooks and @GiveMeBooksPR

⭐️ ⭐️⭐️ ⭐️ 4 out of 5

She’s the little sister of his boss’ and five years younger than him. She’s off limits in so many ways, but his heart can’t see any of those reasons. Mikhail is the head of security for the Ivanov’s and although he is trusted by them to keep the family safe and works with them on some of their business deals, he doesn’t have the pedigree to marry Nadia Ivanov, or to have her be his.

He’s the dark, quiet, handsome shadow that follows her wherever she goes, even if it’s only with his eyes. Nadia has had a crush on Mikhail Volkov since he started working for her family. As she got older and he rejected her more than once, she figured it was time to move on and find someone that would love her and care about her. The only problem was that when she put herself in danger and Mikhail barely made it to her in time, it changed their relationship completely.

I loved this story of the forbidden fruit finally being able to find the love of the person that they have wanted for so long. Nadia and Mikhail are perfect together and even though the whole family treated Nadia as an innocent, naïve young girl, she proved to all of them that she was fine with the family business and could find her path in life with the one man that would do anything to keep her safe and protected. Mikhail may be a big, tough, quiet Russian enforcer and security for the family, but his heart becomes soft mush when Nadia’s life is in jeopardy and he rescues her. I loved the Ivanov brother’s stories and Nadia’s story was just as action packed, entertaining, and enjoyable to read. I give this book a 4-star review and look forward to more books by Zoe Blake. She’s always a favorite author of mine.

𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐍𝐄𝐗𝐓 𝐁𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐄 𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐃 𝐈𝐒 𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄 – My Review of Break, B.A.D. Inc., Book #5

𝐀𝐥𝐥 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐦𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐧 𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁.𝐀.𝐃. 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 out of 5

Oliver Ward broke. The only woman that he had seen as his future had chosen someone else and she also found out how twisted Oliver’s mind was. He’s spent four months in an institution getting better and realizing that his life is not over and that he can move on without Jack. If everyone would just let him be and let him live his life, he’d be much happier. One “accidental” meeting could change everything for him and make his life even better, but is there a catch to it? Maybe the real Oliver can come and live his life.

Scarlett is having some issues with her career and is forced to take a break. With that forced break, she is thinking that maybe it’s time to make a change in her life and career. One patient and his father could ruin everything for Scarlett. Good thing she has a lifeline in Jack, but could their plan backfire or cause more harm than good?

I like Oliver and Scarlett’s story. They are both broken from their childhoods, but they actually understand each other and complete each other. A happenstance meeting could be what both of them need to move on in their lives and find that Happily Ever After, but they will have some issues to overcome first. I love the characters in this series. They are not always who you think they are. These guys have fought to get to the top, where they are, and they will continue to fight to stay there and to make sure that the people they love and consider family are safe and protected at all costs. The struggles that Oliver has to endure to get his life in order and find peace and happiness are heartbreaking, yet the outcome is beautiful and worth the fight that he has to go through. I give this story a 4-star review and suggest it to readers that are looking for a dark, heartbreaking story with a feel-good ending.

MY REVIEW: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5

Caterina Alfera is the princess, she’s the daughter of the once sitting “King” of the Society, but he stepped down when he met and married Caterina’s mother. The only problem is that you can never really leave the mafia and while Caterina and her mother believed that her father was no longer in the mafia or in the Society, he and his sons were still in that world. Caterina will do anything for her father, and he knows it, so when he finds himself in a situation, he makes a deal with the devil and puts her in the crosshairs.

Rex Valentino is the sitting “King” of the Society, he took over after his father was gunned down. He made a promise to his father that he would bring the family back together and protect everyone. However, he needs the once sitting King, Michael Alfera to help him bring the family together and since he has always wanted Caterina, he will use Michael’s situation to get her into his house. He will use the fact that someone is out to destroy and kill off all of the members of the Society, which should have been a secret, to get her to agree to his terms.

I really enjoyed this book and I look forward to the conclusion of the duet. Rex is very Alpha and manipulative, but he’s also very sexy and powerful. He made a promise to his father and wants to make sure that he can go through with it, but there are a lot of factors against him and the Society. He will have to fight hard to get what he wants, but at least Caterina has discovered that she doesn’t hate Rex. These two families have had some bad blood in the past, but they’ve also had a closeness like a family at one time too, and even if Michael does not sit on the board of the Society any longer, he is still part of it and a target is on his back as well as his three grown children’s. I give this story a 5-star review and I look forward to the conclusion of the duet. Caterina has to come to her senses and realize that her and Rex are meant to be This is a book full of danger, strong characters, manipulative men, and some sexy Kinbaku scenes. These two have such a strong reaction to each other and they will be so intense when they finally figure out their issues and find a relationship. They just need to get everyone else out of their way so that they can be alone and figure it out on their own and COMMUNICATE.
