Review of Mile High: Second Skin Book 2, by Ophelia Bell @OpheliaDragons

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5

Mason Black has been undercover for three years and has now found himself tied up and laying down on the floor of a plane. Now the really hard work begins for him. He has a time limit to gain the cooperation of his superiors and the agreement to a trade because more than one life depends on his gaining that cooperation. He only has one person he can count on, and they must convince the higher ups that the information they must trade will be worth the cooperation if they want to bring down the cartel.

Callie Nicolo has been in the same relationship for five years. It’s a tradeoff. She doesn’t have to worry about dating or making time for someone else in her life while she’s trying to finish her residency. Little does she know that the man she’s been with for so long doesn’t have the same issues. She’s about to find out though. There’s been one case since she’s been doing her residency that she hasn’t been able to forget, the man that asked her out while he was coming out of anesthesia from a dangerous surgery.

This story started out by pulling me in. While the first book was a tough start for me, Mile High was not. It drew my attention from the very first page and wouldn’t let go until the end. I loved it. I loved the connection between Mason and Callie as well as the intense storyline of the book. The danger, intrigue, and suspense were palpable and what pulled me in so hard from the beginning. These two are perfect together and Mason has learned to stem some of his quick reactions to his anger. I love the story and the characters, and I give this book a 5-star review.

Review of Hawk’s Huntress: Dublin Falls Archangels Warriors MC, Book #11 by Ciara St. James

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5

Hawk’s watched his club brothers fall one by one for the woman that completes them and makes their soul settle. He has his eyes on one woman as well, but he’s hardly spoken to her. When she shows up for the family barbecue at the compound, he believes it’s his chance to make his move. He watches her and follows her with his eyes, making sure that no one else shows interest, but he doesn’t get the chance at the barbecue to speak to her before she is called away for her job.

Nyssa is a police officer in Dublin Falls and has training for negotiating hostage situations. The one day she should be able to enjoy her day off, she decides to take up the offer from the old ladies in the Dublin Falls Archangel Warriors MC and attend the family barbecue, but she’s called into work and her day takes a drastic turn, not only her day, but her future could be in jeopardy as well, all thanks to one eager, overachieving, arrogant sheriff deputy.

I love the Archangel Warriors, all of them! Hawk’s Huntress is no different. These men are so Alpha and sexy it’s crazy! The women are just as strong, sexy, and protective as their men are. There’s no way any of the Warriors would go for a woman that was not strong, sassy, or protective. They just make perfect couples. I have no idea where Ms. St. James keeps coming up with these stories or the women she writes for her men, but I am so happy she does. I love the characters, stories, suspense, and danger that are in these books. The connection and respect that all the characters have, even from other MC’s, is wonderful and so fun to read. I give this book a 5-star review and cannot wait to read the next book.

Review of Deeper Than The Ocean by Julie Ann Walker

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5

Ray “Wolf” Roanhorse has retired from the Navy along with his teammates, now their own business looking for sunken treasure. While in Florida looking for the Santa Cristina’s riches, that sunk in 1624, Wolf finds the woman that completes him. The only trouble is that his lack of communication with her has caused a rift between them. When he jumps to conclusions rather than talking to Chrissy, he makes a huge blunder and now he must figure out a way to move on, and hopefully get her to return the feelings he has for her.

Chrissy runs her own dive shop on the Florida Keys and finds the ex-Navy SEAL sexy and attractive. However, when he makes a huge blunder one night when they were to meet up, she decides that he is a player and guards her heart. She doesn’t want to be a woman that has multiple partners throughout her life like her mom. She guards her heart completely and is determined that she’ll die alone and a spinster.

This was a great story of two people that were meant for each other but couldn’t figure out a way to communicate their feelings properly. Chrissy’s life is in danger and the only person that can save her is Wolf. He will whatever is necessary to protect her and save her from the danger lurking for her. This story is full of action, great characters and twists that will keep you on the edge of your seat. It was a great addition to The Deep Six books and the story of the missing treasure and riches from the Santa Cristina. The Deep Six crew is still looking for all the important treasure. They’ve found enough clues that the treasure should be near, but they still haven’t located it. I loved the book and the characters and look forward to more of the series. I give this book a 5-star review.

Review of Titch: Untamed Sons MC Book Five by Jessica Ames @JessicaAmesAuth @GiveMeBooksPR

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5

Titch was young when he first married and started a family. Too young to realize what he had and how to keep it and nurture it. Now he’s divorced and co-parenting his two sons with his ex-wife. He never wanted the divorce, but he couldn’t bear to say to no to Rachel when she asked. Now he must watch her with another man while he tries to help her raise their two sons.

Rachel didn’t really want to divorce Titch and she never pictured herself and being divorced and remarried to someone else. She always believed that she and Titch would be forever, but she couldn’t find a way to incorporate the Untamed Sons into their life or their marriage, neither could Titch, so it led to them divorcing. She thought that Gregory was the man she needed in her life. He appears on the outside to be a good man, that walks the straight and narrow and that’s what she wants in her life as well as her son’s lives.

I really enjoyed Titch and Rachel’s story. These two had a lot of unfinished business and when push came to shove Titch proves he’s a good man and father. I love the characters in the Untamed Sons and that this story showed the true meaning of family to Rachel. When they were needed most, the brothers all showed up to help support Titch and Rachel. The Untamed Sons have had their share of darkness and torment, but when push comes to shove these guys are a family and stand by their members and brothers completely. I give this story a 5-star review and look forward to reading Fury’s book. He’s the most intriguing to me. I can’t wait to read his story and learn what makes him tick.

Review of Monster: Filthy Rich Villains by Vanessa Waltz @VanessaWaltz

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5

Tony’s father didn’t want him to follow in his footsteps. He wanted him to have the chance to make his way in life away from the Mafia. He’s a businessman and is not the head of the family, but his hands aren’t as clean as his father had wanted. Tony is on a mission to destroy and rid Boston of the traffickers and the MC that started his revenge. However, his cousin Vinny, the head of the family wants him distracted and out of the way so he can complete his own cleaning process.

Evie is a pawn for her father, the president of the MC that Tony is trying to take down. She has no idea the true depravity that her father and his MC are capable of. She’s used and threatened by her father to do as he tells her, and she could be as culpable as her father if the authorities looked closely. Tony has chosen her to marry him and bring the MC and the mafia together and call a truce, but neither one of them know the depths of deception they are the center of.

I loved this story. Tony had a dark and twisted past at the hands of some twisted people and wants revenge and vengeance for all he went through, but also for all the depravity and pain that the others have gone through at the hands of the same people that hurt him. He’s determined to still have his vengeance but now he is determined to keep his new wife safe and protect her. When she finds herself in the hands of a twisted man, Tony will go to any length to get her back and protect her. I was glad to read Tony’s story. He went through a lot but he’s on his way to finding his peace now that he has someone in his life that cares about him and wants him for the man he is. I give this story a 5-star review and really hope there are more of these characters to come.

My Review of Broken Loyalty: Broken Rebel Brotherhood Next Generation by Andi Rhodes

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5

What can I say about this book, other than it is another top-notch story of the Broken Rebel Brotherhood Next Generation? I love the characters and the idea of the Broken Rebel Brotherhood. The story lines are always raw, dangerous, and action packed.

Isabelle is looking for a new challenge and something she can attain on her own merits. She loves working with her family of the Broken Rebel Brotherhood, and being the daughter of a founding member, she’s just as passionate as the rest of the Brotherhood to help those that the law can’t. However, she wants something more, something of her own and she’s found that something else, but now she has a new challenge, his name if Finn Walsh.

Finn Walsh has a lot of darkness and anger inside. A war vet that is still battling the scars of his time in the service and the loss of brothers in arms as well as a part of him. He has a chip on his shoulders and a bad attitude that pushes most people away. He challenges the new group leader of his Wounded Warrior group. He’s convinced the young woman won’t be able to help anyone because she has never been in the service, nor has she lived through any trauma, but he’s in for a rude awakening and a woman that will rock his world and show him that she’s so much more than he thought.

Isabelle may not be a vet, but she has dealt with a lot of traumas with the Brotherhood and she’s good at what she does. She’s a woman of many talents and will knock Finn off his feet and his world off its axis. She rides a Harley, is reckless, passionate, empathetic, and a total bad a$$ babe. This story of Finn and Isabelle is an action packed, steamy, sexual tension filled story of two people who were made for each other, but never knew the other existed. Their first meeting is epic and leaves them both with fantasies of the other. I loved this final book in the Broken Rebel Brotherhood Next Generation Series. I hate to see these characters end, but I am a big supporter and fan of Andi Rhodes and I look forward to more books by her to come. I give this story a 5-star review and encourage you to pick up the first book in the series, Broken Souls if you haven’t read the series yet.

Review of Merciless Hunter: Dark Syndicate Book 4 by Faith Summers @jennw23 @khardinegray1

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5

She was a pawn in a battle for riches and power. Her whole life was taken from her, first the loss of her father, then her grandfather, then her brother and now her own freedom is being taken away from her. Olivia is a woman that is desperate for help and there is one man that could help her, but he’s unapproachable. She’ll have to become creative to get to him and get his help. It cost her everything, but it’s worth the risk to save her mother, herself, and her families business and legacy.

He’s a man looking for revenge and for what he thought he lost 9 years ago. He won’t stop until he finds what is left of his family. It will be deadly and brutal, but the payoff is so much more than the risk. When he sees the woman in his club he is intrigued, but he doesn’t have time for her. He is on a mission, and he is not ready to stop. Aiden was betrayed nine years ago and now he has a hard time trusting anyone, even his closest men. He can’t afford to mess up again.

I loved this story of Olivia and Aiden. They are both looking for family and answers and when they come together, they can be so much more powerful than separate. With the help of the Syndicate and the D’Agostino’s, Aiden will keep hunting and searching for the one remaining part of his marriage to Gabriella. However, is he ready for the twists and turns that he will have to go through get the answers he seeks? This was an emotional roller coaster of a read. The torment and anguish of Aiden and Olivia’s lives along with the twisted parts others played in their lives is harsh. I loved the characters and the story in Merciless Hunter and look forward to hopefully more of these characters. I give the book a 5-star review.

My ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Review of Tormented Tycoon by Bry Ann @AuthorBryAnn

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5

Shadow is a young woman that was betrayed and is fighting to find her way back to living with security and safety, as well as get her business back. She once thought she had the world in her hands, but then reality set in and she found herself in a disparaging situation. No job, no home, no money, and freezing on the streets. When she gets a break and is given an opportunity to turn her life back around and find safety and security again, she must let herself believe that she’s worth it and that she can find that safety and security again. The only problem is that she’ll need to let herself trust again and that’s the hardest part.

Richard has been so focused on his company and his daughter that he hasn’t lived his life. He is a man that helps the underdog, but when he meets shadow in his office interviewing for his personal assistant job, he isn’t sure that she’s a good fit. He is kind, rich, powerful, and focused, but Shadow can make him lose that focus. He’s fought his way from darkness to the top.

I am a huge fan of Bry Ann’s books, and she has hit another one out of the park. Tormented Tycoon is a roller coaster ride of emotions, and as always with Bry Ann’s books has tormented, broken characters that are survivors and very bad a$&. Shadow has overcome so much and has done it mostly on her own, but when she finds out the truth of her recent past, she has a hard time reconciling the details with what she knows. I love the characters in Bry Ann’s books, both the men and the women. The men are very Alpha protectors, and the women are strong, survivors of some horrendous pasts. When they find the person that will protect them and support them, they shine bright, and their true worth comes out. I always wonder at how Bry Ann comes up with such great characters and stories, her books pull me in from the very first page and I leave kicking and screaming wanting so much more. I loved Tormented Tycoon and give it a 5-star review. If you like dark, tormented, twisted stories with great characters, you will love Bry Ann’s Tormented Tycoon and her other books as well.

Review of The Reed Security Relationship Manual: Reed Security Series #27 by Giulia Lagomarsino @crzybookladyluv @EJBookPromos

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5

I am not sure how Ms. Lagomarsino writes such awesome characters, but she never disappoints me with her books. I love the Reed Security characters and The Reed Security Relationship Manual was as entertaining, amusing, and great as her other books. The things that these guys think of are so off the charts its comical. It’s also a wonder that they are in any relationship at all sometimes.

Derrick with his costumes and role playing with Claire, Cap and Maggie with their pregnancies and Maggie with always finding trouble, no matter what, you are always entertained by these characters. The men are overprotective, crazy, and dangerous, and the women are crazy, independent, and just as dangerous. You never know what will happen in these books. I loved every bit of this book, including the interviews. Those were pretty good. I am so looking forward to more books by Ms. Lagomarsino in the future. I give this book a 5-star review and I highly recommend any book written by Giulia Lagomarsino. She is a one-click author for me. I always know that her books will entertain me and make me laugh out loud.

Review of Lucky: O’Sullivan Brothers, Book 1 by Rie Warren @RieWrites @EJBookPromos

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5

He’s the oldest brother of the O’Sullivan mafia and is now the leader. After he and his brothers took care of their father, he became the head of the O’Sullivan Clan. Lucky O’Sullivan has no intention of settling down or having only one woman in his life. However, fate has other things in mind for him. There’s a woman that has been showing up at their underground casino and has his attention.

Prudence has obligations and needs to make ends meet to take care of those obligations. Her talent lies in gambling and she has been having a pretty good streak lately. The problem is that her streak has not always been good, and she has the Yakuza after her. They’re not the only threat to her and her life.

I really loved this story of two people that fought for so much in their lives to have what they have and found the only other person that can make their life better. Prudence has been a woman that could take care of herself for a long time and does not like to ask for help, but when she knows that her life could be in jeopardy, or at least that she’s in danger, she turns to the one man that wants more than to just rescue her from the current danger. He will want more and neither one of them are prepared for the feelings they bring out in each other. Lucky and Prudence are perfect for each other and I love how the O’Sullivan’s have taken in Prue and her sister as if they are already part of the family. This story incorporates the Zolotov Bratva, which this story is a spin off from and I love how they are one big family and help each other out. I give this story a 5-star review and if you love a mafia romance with a strong, sassy, independent woman you will love this book as well as the Krasnov Brothers books.
