Review of Shadow Empire: Broken Cross Book 4, by Bri Blackwood @briblackwood2 and @GiveMeBooksPR

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 out of 5

Dr. Grace McCartney has had enough turmoil in her life and doesn’t need her brother’s best friend causing more for her. When her job puts her in the crosshairs of a man that has a history with Broderick and the Cross family, Broderick will do everything in his power to protect her and keep her safe, even if that means that her brother, his best friend Hunter, gets mad at him.

Broderick Cross has wanted Grace for a long time, but his friendship with Hunter has stopped him from making any moves to show her that he wants her. He has a reputation of being a man that doesn’t do commitment, so why would anyone believe that he wants her for more than a short time?

I enjoyed this story. The darkness of the Cross Enterprises follows into Broderick and Grace’s story. Grace has known the Cross family for years but now things are different and no matter how hard she tried to avoid it; her heart had other intentions for her. You can’t help who your heart wants. The danger, action, and darkness continue in this story in the Broken Cross series. I love the characters in this series. The Cross’ are not to be taken lightly. Grace couldn’t be in safer hands when she is with Broderick. Hunter will have to come to terms with their relationship. I give this story a 4-star review and I look forward to more in the series.

Review of Storm: A Dark & Dirty Sinners’ MC Book 8 by Serena Akeroyd @SerenaAkeroyd

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5

Storm and Keira’s story is such a great read. Storm is probably one of my favorite characters in the Satan’s Sinners MC series. He is not perfect and made mistakes, but he’s human and not all the mistakes can be blamed on him. He truly loves Keira, Cyan and his brothers in the New Jersey chapter of the Satan’s Sinners. He’s a man that has a lot of baggage from his past and was betrayed by the people that should have protected and cared for him.

Keira is a girl from the right side of the tracks and not someone that you would normally see with a biker. She has her own kind of baggage being raised as a preacher’s daughter. Not all families have the perfect life that they show the world. She needs to open her heart and her mind and listen and talk to Storm.

I really liked Storm’s story. He shows his vulnerabilities when it comes to Keira and Cyan. They have a lot to overcome if they want to be a family again. Cyan has a lot of scars of her own and if her parents can work out their problems, it just might help Cyan heal and move on from her ordeal. I loved the story and the characters in Storm, and I look forward to more books in the Satan’s Sinners books. I give this story a 5-star review. I didn’t feel that Storm needed redemption in my eyes, he just needed to open up and tell Keira the whole truth, and she needed to listen, but I feel that his story gave him the redemption that some readers felt he needed. He is my favorite character, flaws, and all. He proved his worth as the new president of the Coshocton, Ohio chapter. He’s fair, stern, and willing to give the guys a chance to prove their loyalty. He will take out the trash if needed.

Review of The Spy: Kingmakers Book 4, by Sophie Lark

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5

Wow! Where do start with this book? I loved every page I read in this book. It had me on the edge of my seat waiting to get to the parts where I would get all of the answers for this series. I loved the characters, the story, the plot, all of it. I loved the suspense of not being able to guess who the Spy was in the beginning right through to the end of the book when so much was revealed.

The Spy has to keep his identity a secret for so long that when his true identity is revealed he’s afraid that he will lose the close friends he has made while at Kingmaker’s, but as a true mafia born prince, he will do what is required for his family.

When she finally convinces her father to let her go to Kingmaker’s she is nowhere near prepared for the welcome she will receive or the secrets that will be revealed to her about who her father really is. He’s not the man that she has looked up to for so long. Her whole world will be turned upside down.

I have loved Sophie’s books from the very first book I read. All of her books take me to the world that I am reading. I feel as if I am in the story and know the characters as though they are friends. Her detail to characters, scenery, and story brings her books to life and I love reading them. They are so hard to put down once I have started them. The Spy was no different. This story held so many answers to the so much from the other books, and it was still full of the action, suspense, steam and danger as all of Sophie’s books. I loved it and hated to see it end. I give this book a 5-star review and would give it 10-stars if possible.

Review of Secrets, Lies & Alibies: Wounded Hearts Book 8 by Jacquie Biggar @JacqBiggar

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 out of 5

SAC Agent Amanda Rhinehold has taken a new position in the company, but not because she wanted to, because she was forced to after an error in judgement. Now she’s on desk duty and planning for the changes in her life. When trouble finds her from a past case, she has to go back to Texas and come face to face with the people she put in danger. She has a secret that she’s been keeping too and now it will be out in the open.

Adam O’Connor has another new partner and is still working a large case. When his past comes back to Texas with danger on her heals, he will have to convince his previous SAC that he’s ready for a relationship and helping her.

I enjoyed this story, and the characters are always enjoyable to read. The story is full of action, secrets, danger and great characters. Adam and Amanda both have baggage, and they need to figure out a way to put their pasts behind them and move on and make a life together to protect the innocent. I give this story 4-star review. I have to find time to go back and read the stories earlier in the series.

Review of Chef: Time Served, Book 3 (Tenillo Guardians, TSMC) by Cee Bowerman @CeeBowerman

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5

Fresh out of prison and starting over, Chef finds himself in Tenillo, Texas building a motorcycle to ride and getting a fresh start. His life is empty without his wife and daughter, and he has no idea why he’s even trying. As he starts to meet the people he’s living around in the junk yard that is run by Pop’s, the man that is giving Chef a second chance, he sees a woman that makes his day brighter, until he realizes that he can never have her because she’s already taken. With nothing else keeping him in Tenillo, Chef leaves because he can’t stand to watch Brea from afar and not have her.

Brea has had her fair share of trouble. She’s also part of the Timed Served crew. She lives in the junk yard with her husband and daughter. She’s a tough lady. When Brea has to go through a rough patch in her life again, it’s the men that are like family that helps her through it. When Pop’s health is in jeopardy and he’s been shot, Chef comes back home to Tenillo.

I love the men and women in the Tenillo Guardians. They are protectors of their town, family, and friends. They will go to any lengths to make sure that their loved ones are safe and protected. They want their town safe and clear of the crime that is going on in town. Chef is determined to win Brea over, but she’s gun shy of relationships after losing a man she loved once. She knows that Chef won’t run away from a fight and that scares her. It takes a lot of convincing on Chef’s part to win her over, but like his determination for protecting those around him, his determination to win Brea over is ruthless. I love these the relationship these men and women have. This was another great read in the Time Served MC Series. I get a lot of laughs at the dialog, both verbally and internally, between the women in these books. Brea’s internal dialog was great. The women are just as tough and ruthless as the men, and I am really looking forward to more in this series. I give this book a 5-star review.

Review of Complete Me: The Trust Me Series, A Companion Novel by KE Osborn @TheNextStepPR @KEOsbornAuthor

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 out of 5

This companion novel to The Trust Me Series is a wrap up of Aiden and Jenifer’s lives once they were able to get married and live the lives they wanted. It tells of the love affair between Callie and Mike that has been going on for decades and the love of Sarah and Chris. It was a great wrap of their lives and the family that they are connected to. I enjoyed the story. It has me crying and getting angry at Aiden for his self-absorption for a bit, but when he finally calmed down and began to look at the whole picture, he was able to see why things happened the way they did.

I enjoyed the characters and the complete family feel that the whole series portrays. These characters may not all be related by blood, Chris and Sarah, for example, but they are so close to Aiden and Jen that they are treated as part of the family by all, and it is wonderful to read. I give the story a 4-star review and was happy to get some questions answered through this novel.

Review of Fury: Untamed Sons, London by Jessica Ames @JessicaAmesAuth @GiveMeBooksPR

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5

He was damaged beyond repair. A “freak” as he was called by some. He kept his distance from everyone, even those he considered “friends”. They were afraid of what might happen if he let the demons out, just as much as he was. He was afraid they’d never be contained again. Fury is the Sergeant-at-arms for the Untamed Sons in London. He has to fight to keep his demons under control at the best of times, but when he sees the beautiful angel in front of him one night his world as he knows it is turned on its axis and it may not be righted for a few years.

She happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, the story of her life it seemed. Amalia’s half-brother was always getting her into situations that caused her trouble, but one night she found it all on her own when she was trying to get what she was owed and stumbled on a murder. One of the men she stumbled upon wanted her dead so that she couldn’t talk, and the other man found himself stepping in front of her to protect her and then it became his mission to keep an eye on her to be sure she didn’t talk and put Fury in the hot seat.

For some reason the beautiful woman makes Fury feel something other than disdain or anxiety when she’s around or touches him. He has no idea why. After several years of him trying to keep his distance, she comes running to him for help and now he’ll never let her go. I loved this story of two people who know nothing of love, and they find it at the least expected time and place. Fury and Amalia are a great couple, and their story is wonderful. I love the build up to their HEA and that Amalia is able to see beyond the hurt, pain, and demons that Fury has carried for years. She’s the perfect match to Fury. I love the characters in the Untamed Sons MC series and Fury has always been a favorite with his distance of those around him with exception of Lily-May. He’s a man that has no idea what love is yet, he shows it in ways that even he is not aware of. I give this story a 5-star review and look forward to more Untamed Sons MC stories in the future.

NEW RELEASE in the RBMC Series – Review of HELL’S FURY Tonopah, NV Chapter by Nikki Landis @landisnikkiauth #RoyalBastardsMC #mcromance #pnr

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5

I love the Tonopah, NV Chapter of the RBMC. They are very different from their brothers in the other chapters, and they should be feared and respected. Patriot is a marine and he’s dedicated his life to his brothers in the RBMC and his soul to the devil.

Naomi “Mimi” is still trying to recover and gain her strength back after the ordeal she went through. With the help of Patriot and his brothers as well as Naomi’s sister she may be able to find her path and heal so that she can find peace and happiness. Her life has not been easy and there has only been one person that has never left her side or made her feel as though she was trash, and that is her sister. Now she has Patriot by her side and her connection to the prospect, Shadow, proves that she has people around her that want her to heal and get better. When she finds that she is still in danger, Patriot will do everything in his power to protect her and keep her safe. He’s patient and will let her come to terms of how he feels about her and let him in.

I loved this story of Patriot and his determination and his patience to have Naomi in his life and let her see that she belongs to him. I love the RBMC and their code. They are brothers to the end and they Protect, Respect, and Honor their patch and the club. I give this story a 5-star review and I look forward to more in the RBMC as well as more in the RBMC Tonopah, NV Chapter.

Review of Bodie (Project Arma Book 6) by Nyssa Kathryn

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5

Bodie has volunteered to be the protector for Maya, a woman that narrowly escaped death when Project Arma infiltrated the lab she worked at. Maya is on the run and in hiding but she has a health issue that both saved her life and could kill her. Maya has found a nice little town where she feels that she is relatively safe and is finding a bit of peace and belonging, only for that to come crashing down around her. Will she ever be safe?

I have loved these books from the beginning. Each story shows the lengths that the creators of Project Arma will go to get what they want. No one can get in their way because they will take them out. With Bodie’s story, more secrets come to light on the beginning of Project Arma and why Maya was really spared after the attack. These books are full of secrets, suspense, action, great characters and a wonderful story of finding love and a family. I love Bodie and Maya’s story and was so happy for Maya finally finding a place and a family. I look forward to more of Maya and Bodie as well as Oliver and Kye’s stories to come. Luca and Evie need to set a date though! Come on!! I give this story a 5-star review and am anxious for more.

Review of Merciless Union: Blood and Thorns Duet, Book 2 by Faith Summers @jennw23 @khardinegray1

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5

Betrayal, Death, Destruction, and Desperation.

The conclusion of the Blood and Thorns Duet has many secrets coming to light with twists and turns. There is betrayal on multiple levels, death of so many innocents, the close destruction of a brotherhood, and the desperation of a man that is determined to find the truth and protect what is his at any and all costs.

Aria has blocked out so much of her past and when it begins to see the light of day, the danger is at every turn. She finds herself in dangerous situations constantly and has to fight for the strength within to survive, she also has to find the strength to make the correct decision when given two options from Lucca. Can she see past the hurt, betrayal, and pain to follow the path with Lucca to happiness? Will the get the chance for happiness?

Lucca finds betrayal at every turn it seems. The men and friends he thought he always has on his side are dropping like flies to turn on him and betray his trust. There are two that are the most painful for him, but it’s true that you find out who your real friends are when you’re in trouble and those that are standing beside you and helping the most are who you can trust. Lucca is realizing that he does have a heart in his chest, and it has always only beat for Aria. Now he has to convince her that they are meant to be together, but he will give her a choice, if he has to.

I loved this conclusion to the Duet. It was action packed and suspenseful, keeping me on the edge of my seat the whole time. Aria and Lucca had a special relationship that was damaged and almost destroyed and they had to fight for everything. I loved the characters and the story. I loved how the Romanov’s are part of the story and the Syndicate. I give the story a 5-star review and look forward to more books by Faith Summers.
