ARC Review – Master of Games by Sienna Snow @LWoodsPR @sienna_snow

Pierce Lykaios is the middle son of Collin Lykaios and runs kink clubs as well as a sports promotion business. He was an Olympic swimmer when he was a teen and is still active in the sporting arena. His promotion business does very well in Las Vegas, and he is well known for this as well as for being a very rich man. He is one of the God’s of Vegas according to the media. He is also known as the Master of Games because of his promotion of well-known athletes.

Amelia Nephus Thanos is a sports promoter with her business stationed in Greece. She was a teenage Olympian in MMA who was forced to return to her home land of Greece when she was eighteen. She married a Greek shipping magnet while she was pregnant by another man. For ten years she lived in Greece living a lie. The only man she ever loved completely thought she had cheated on him and left him for another man.

Both Pierce and Amelia’s worlds will change when Amelia goes to Vegas for a fight between her fighters and Pierce’s fighters. The truth is about to come out and lives will change.

I loved this story and I give it a 5-star review. A second chance romance where the Alpha male thought he was so in control of everything but quickly learned that he had no control at all. His love for Amelia was stronger than it was ten years ago, and he had no power to stay away from her. The characters in these stories are so fun to read about. They feel that they are so controlled in their lives until they figure out their soul mates are what really keep them breathing. I cannot wait for Zach’s story. I have a feeling it will be even hotter than Hagan’s and Pierce’s stories were. I am really hoping there will be more stories. I love all the characters in this series and want to see all of the men in this series fall to their knees for the women who own their hearts.

ARC Review – The Defender: Ryder by Lisa B. Kamps @LWoodsPR @LBKamps

Ryder_Teaser1

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ 4.5 out of 5
Ryder “Boomer” Hess receives a phone call from his little sister while she is on an island stating that there is a matter of life or death. He drops everything and makes his teammate and co-worker from Cover Six Security, “Ninja”, go with him. The main reason he went was because the call cut out right after she said that.

Allison Hess and her childhood best-friend are part of a group that helps rebuild areas that have been destroyed by destructive weather in poor countries. That’s why they are on a remote island that is only accessible by boat. When Allison and Hannah stumble upon some questionable activity on the island near where they are rebuilding a school for the children of the island, Allison decides to call her brother for help to figure out what is going on. None of them expected what they found though and Boomer and Ninja are in as much danger now as Allison and Hannah.

This is a story of second chances, con men, and dangerous dealings in secret that can cause a lot of trouble. I really liked this story. The twists and suspense pulled me right in and kept my interest throughout the book. The characters were great together and Boomer and Ninja are men who take no prisoners and will dig around until they get to the bottom of what is going on.

I give this story a 4.5-star review and look forward to the next book in the Cover Six Security. I really hope its Ninja’s story. A quiet, deadly man who fights his attraction. If you like stories of ex-military men who go in to security and are fierce protectors, I highly suggest this story as well as this series.

Bulleit

Title: Bulleit
Series: Knuckleheads
Author: Simone Scarlet
Genre: Military, MC, Bad-Boy Romance
Release Date: April 30, 2019

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5-stars out of 5

Jake Bulleit is a medically discharged SEAL who has been looking for a job for two years. One testimony threw all of his hard work out of the window and black listed him from finding a good job after being discharged from the Navy. One road side bomb destroyed his life, but now he has a second chance with a job working for the Secret Service. He may not like the first assignment he is given, but he will do his job without question. He’s an honorable man with a kind heart and a lot of pain in his heart. His first night in Washington DC, he meets a firecracker of a woman at a bar and has a memorable one-night stand. He’s not happy when she sends him on his way after the mind-blowing sex.

Maria Schneider works for Congresswoman Buchanan, a woman who wants to bring Arellano Mendoza, El Leon, to the US to testify at a Congressional Hearing for the money that the CIA is always requesting and using for covert missions. Ms. Schneider is Congresswoman Buchanan’s Aid and has been assigned the duty of protecting and escorting El Leon and his family. She’s not ready for the lone Secret Service Agent that has been assigned for the protection detail of El Leon and his family, he’s the man that she met a week ago and had a one-night stand with.

This story was full of action, lust, and political deception. I really enjoyed the story and fell in love with Bulleit. He’s a man who sticks to his beliefs and will fight for those beliefs, no matter the consequences. He’s honorable, sweet and very sexy. The heat between Jake and Maria is instantaneous and very hot. They were made for each other and it is proven in this story.

I give this story a 5-star review and highly recommend it to readers who enjoy political deception, ex-military men, and people who fight for the rights of others and keep their morals no matter what may happen in the end.

ARC Review: Suppression (Laurel Springs Emergency Response Team #2) by Laramie Briscoe @GiveMeBooksPR and @LaramieBriscoe

Suppression Teaser 2

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ out of 5

Nick “Cooper” Kempler is a young man who is lost but wants to have a normal life so much. He’s kind, generous, sweet, and stubborn, but most of all he’s a boy who was abused, neglected, and rescued. He has a hard time expressing his feelings and won’t let anyone get too close to him for fear of abandonment or rejection. He’s a force to be reckoned with if a child is being abused or neglected. He will fight for that child with all he has.

Kelsey Harrison has loved Nick since she was a little girl but he won’t let her in. They are friends but she wants so much more from him. She’s waited for so long, but can she wait any longer for a man who doesn’t seem to return her feelings?

Extenuating circumstances will bring them together but how will things work out for them. Will they be able to make a life together? Will a tragedy be the catalyst for Nick to figure out his feelings and finally telling Kelsey how he feels?

Wow! Thank you for writing this story! I have read the entire series so far, to include the MTF books, and I thought they were all really good, but this one took the cake. It was a roller coaster ride from the very beginning. I love the characters in all of these stories, but Nick’s story was so heartfelt and touching that he stole my heart. I love this book and highly recommend it to readers who enjoy a story of a man finding his future and the love of his life and having to figure out how to keep her in his life forever.

I give this story a 5-star review and I am looking forward to more in the Laurel Springs Emergency Response Team series.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ – 4.5 out of 5

Bors a member of the Cavalieri Della Morte, is a man who kills with knives. He likes it close and personal when he makes a kill. A man without a family or ties cannot be compromised. Bors believes that his life is fine the way it is, but he cannot seem to rid his mind of the beautiful redhead that drugged him and rocked his world in the same night.

Ivy was raised in a cruel MC. Her father never treated her like a daughter. She would love to get away from the life she lives, but she has no way of protecting herself or her little girl if she runs and is caught by her father or his men.

Beth is a woman who has been in the MC for years. She’s the wife of the VP that was murdered, but she is also a good friend and mother figure in Ivy’s life. They are close and protect each other as much as possible in their world.

Bors is sent on a contract by Arthur to eliminate the President of a ruthless MC, the same MC that he killed the VP of. He’s a man with a plan and is always prepared when setting up a contract.

I really liked this story and enjoyed the way the story played out. Bors is man with a heart, but like his brothers in the Della Morte, he thinks he doesn’t have one. The instant chemistry between Ivy and Bors is great. Ivy is a woman who is not afraid of Bors, nor is she afraid to stand up to him. This story was a quick read for me. The story kept my interest and the pages turning so quickly that I lost track of time.

I give this story a 4.5-star review and recommend to readers who like the dark underworld and the men who live in that world. I love the sexy man on the cover too.

Review of: Three Alpha Romeo by Krista Wolf @HiddenGemsBooks

Danger and a common enemy brought them together, but love kept them together.

Andrea is a woman looking for revenge and has worked hard to get herself into position to finally take it. However, things do not work out in her favor the night she plans to get her revenge.

Marcus is an ex-Army Ranger and a man looking to avenge the woman he loved. He is working alone and thinks he is going to exact his revenge the same night as Andrea, but things don’t work out in his favor either.

Randall and Holden are ex-SEALs who want revenge on the same man as Andrea and Marcus, but they are working together and know about Andrea’s desire to avenge her loved one. They know nothing of Marcus’ desire to avenge his loved one, yet. They were on the same SEAL team and work like a well-oiled machine. Their differences make them a great team.

Alexander Kyrkos is a man who is dangerous and works for a group called Indigo. It’s a worldwide group of killers and dangerous men. He’s also paranoid and keeps moving around the world in hopes that his enemies won’t find him or kill him. He’s not as well liked as he once way in the group and is being hunted by these four to exact revenge for the death of people they cared about.

I really enjoyed the suspense of this story. There were a few times where I was holding my breath hoping that things would work out and none of these four main characters were killed. Their commitment to their goal as well as each other never waned and they worked very well together for a common goal. While at first, I thought Marcus was going to be a wild card, he turned out to be a guy they could all count on and trust. The twists in the story were perfect and kept me wondering if Marcus was truly a bad guy or just a guy caught up in a bad situation.

I give this story a 4-star review and highly recommend it to readers who enjoy sassy, brassy women who know how to take care of themselves, as well as Alpha men who are smart enough to let their woman be herself but still be there to protect her and take care of her. I loved the Extended Epilogue too. Thank you for more of their story.

Review: A Light In The Desert by Anne Montgomery

a-light-in-the-desert-cov-6

Wow, what an interesting read. A story of truth and fiction intertwined to create an interesting story of a pregnant teen girl, a Vietnam vet, a group of people from the Children of Light compound, a derailed train, and a young man who has a lot of issues.

Kelly Garcia is a young teen girl who is pregnant. She is not a social person, she’s never been to school, and she is pretty much kept out of the public eye by her mother who is simultaneously ashamed of her due to a birth defect and jealous of her for the attention she receives from her step-father.

The Children of the Light a group that live off the land they tend in the desert of Arizona. They are a religious cult that takes Kelly in when her mother doesn’t want her in the home any longer. They care for her and help her. They are also friends with Jason Ramm a man who lives on his own near the Rowley Mine and helps the Children of the Light with groceries. He is a man who is trained to be ruthless and deadly, but he just wants redemption and peace, a man who is fighting with his ghosts from his past but has a good heart and is kind and considerate as well as secretive and a loner.

This story has many characters that are introduced throughout the story. They all fit into the story in a way that helps bring the story to life. This story was intriguing, suspenseful, and heartwarming at times, but also heart-wrenching as well. The treatment of Kelly by her mother and the innocence of her made my heartbreak when she met new people and the way she had to steel herself for the shock on their faces or expected shock from them when they saw her. The intrigue of Jason Ramm’s story and his need to be secluded and secretive kept me interested in him and the story.

I give this story a 4.5-star review and recommend it to readers who enjoy a story of fact and fiction mixed to create a story that pulls you in and keeps you turning the pages for answers. The detail of the desert colors and sights were so well written and were easy to picture. I do wish there was more about Jason Ramm and what happened to him after he left. This was my first read by Anne Montgomery and I was not at all disappointed.

ARC REVIEW: His Salvation: Cavalieri Della Morte by Claire Marta

his salvation-3DeReader

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ out of 5

Our past has a way of coming back to us at some point in our lives.

Kay Lockwood is a killer and a member of the Cavalieri Della Morte. He was born into the life. His father and mother were both murdered when he was a child, but his father was also a killer. Only he was not a member of the Cavalieri Della Morte. After the death of Kay’s parents, he was taken in by Paulo Jilani and raised as his own son. Unfortunately, for Kay, Paulo was the only one in the family who cared about Kay.

Evelyn Thornton has recently graduated from college with her degree as a veterinarian. Always the good girl, straight A’s, studious, and always doing as her parents expect, Evelyn is finally doing something for herself. She won an all-expenses paid trip to Italy for one week. She’s excited about this trip and the possibility of doing something out of the ordinary for her and a little crazy. Little does she know that her life is about to change in so many ways.

I loved this story and the way the story unfolded was perfect. The past comes back to haunt Kay and Paulo in ways that could end with the death of both of them as well as innocents. Kay is a ruthless man who does not take his job lightly. He is lethal, focused, and very dangerous. He will also lose his heart without even knowing it.

I give this story a 4-star review and recommend it to readers who have started reading the Cavalieri Della Morte stories as well as readers who enjoy reading about a lethal Alpha male losing his heart unexpectedly and finding someone who challenges him in different ways than his job does.

ARC Review:Mayhem’s King: Operation Mayhem #4 by Lindsay Cross @GiveMeBooksPR and @lindsaycross101

Mayhem_s King Full Wrap

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ out of 5!

Kingston has put his tragic past behind him, but he’s no longer living life. He’s just surviving life. After a tragic day in King’s life, he left everything behind. A member of the Mayhem project, his life is about to change once again. He believes he’s a man who doesn’t deserve happiness or love, and his focus is on revenge.

Laura Dawson is a woman who is content and happy with her life. Her brother, John, was in the service and twice, she thought he was dead. He’ll bring changes to her life that she is not expecting or prepared for. John’s military background will drag Laura into danger, and she will find a part of her that she never knew was missing.

The men that surround King are his family and they will do anything to protect each other and those that mean the world to them. The mansion they all live in is their compound and they believe they are safe there.

I loved this book. However, the second chapter confused me until I got further into it. I was lost for a period of time, but when I got further into the story, I understood what was going on.

It’s a tragic story of a second chance at life for a man who doesn’t believe he deserves it. For a man who believes that he is destined to live his life alone, he has a huge heart in his chest, but needs to be reminded of how to keep it beating.

I give this story a 5-star review and would recommend it to readers who like military, suspense, and tough guys being brought to their knees by little girls. I would like to read more of King’s first team’s story after he left. I think I need to go back and read the previous stories to get a better feel of what is going on with King.

ARC REVIEW: All We Are: The Ex-Factor Duet, Book #2 by Elizabeth Grace and Michelle Lynn

Ex Factor Apothecary

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ out of 5!

James “Jimmy” has moved on with his life and is engaged to marry Adelaide, but he needs to put things to rest from his past with Lilah. First, he needs to find her and figure out what happened six years ago to make her betray him. A chance sighting on the news one night gives him the chance to find her and see if he can put everything behind him and have a happy life with Adelaide.

Lilah has moved away from Los Angeles and is living a simple life in Kansas. One scary situation puts her back in the sights of her first and only love Jimmy. She has made mistakes in her life, but now she has straightened herself out and has a good job and a good home. Everything will change though after Jimmy shows up on her doorstep and finds her best kept secret looking back at him.

While most people who read this story may be angry with Lilah for not coming clean with Jimmy, I was the opposite. I was angry and Jimmy. He was the one who told Lilah to get out of his life and never wanted to look back. He wouldn’t give her the chance to explain things to him and she had every right to be scared to come clean with Jimmy.

I was glad that Lilah was able to turn her life around. I like where this book picked up from All We Were. It was done very well, and the story carried through just right. I loved the Epilogue and how far Lilah has come. I really loved the statement that she said she would tell her young self if she could, “If I could tell that little girl anything, it would be to never stop believing. As long as you have hope, you have possibility, and sometimes life will surprise you with what’s possible.” I love this quote and I identify with it. If I didn’t have hope throughout my life, I don’t think it would be as it is now. I give this story a 5-star review and highly recommend it to readers who enjoy reading angsty, young love, second chances, and a love that lasts forever.
