I’m no thief with a heart of gold. I steal from the rich and give to myself to make ends meet. One day I’ll have enough to get the hell out of New Orleans to start fresh, away from the memories of everything I’ve lost.

I should have walked away that night and never thought about him again. But I didn’t.
When I discovered he has ties to the one person I hate for taking everything from me, maybe I shouldn’t have run.
But I did.

Our enemies are six feet under, and Boston is ours.
At least that’s what we thought.
A rival organization has decided to pick up where they left off, and I refuse to watch it happen again. They think our rules don’t apply to them. They’re dead wrong. Now, I’m in New Orleans to find them, and cut them off at the knees.

I should have put her captivating green eyes out of my mind and focused on taking down another deadly criminal organization. But I didn’t.
Then she ran, and I told myself I’d never see her again. But I did.
When she crashes back into my life, I should walk away.
But I can’t.
They found her. They know who she is.

My Review: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 out of 5
Nova was a wonderful character that has a chip on her shoulder when it comes to Cillian’s world and friends. However, he has no idea what is going on with her and finds her to be an unexpected surprise to his life, until things take a turn.
Nova is a strong, independent, sassy young woman that has built a life for herself in New Orleans, she may not have typical job, but it keeps a roof over her head and food and clothing for her. When she takes from someone that could end her, her life takes a turn and then when danger knocks on her best-friends door, it really hits a wall.
Cillian is not a man to deceive, or steal from. He’s the second in command of the Irish mafia in Boston. When his work takes him to New Orleans he deviates from his normal routine and finds something very unexpected and refreshing, but then his world is turned upside down.
I loved this story and as has been the case with the other books in this series, I loved the characters. This story intertwined with the Black Roses MC and the Boston Syndicate and it was a great read. I loved the page turning action, suspense, and the wonderful characters in the story. I look forward to more from Kate Randall in the future.
