A story of suspense, love, and strong men who have scars inside and out.

Gordon “Mac” MacGregor is ex-military and is now a partner in Cover Six Security. He and some of his buddies he served with opened a security company after he’s forced to leave his position in the military after a disappointing defeat in court against a company that supplied defective military armor. He has scars on his body from war, and they are not only skin deep. He battles with himself from the scars on the inside. After meeting TR, a woman who sees beyond his skin, he finds that his life will change, and he may be able to open his heart.

TR, Tabitha, a reporter who has been having a streak of bad luck lately. She thinks that the things that are happening to her are just accidents or wrong place at the wrong time. However, Mac doesn’t believe that. He thinks that her life is in danger and he will do anything to protect her and keep her safe, even give his own life to do it. One story that TR has been working on has put her life in danger and she has no idea of how much danger she is in. Good thing that Mac was there to save her more than once.

One man who is playing a dangerous game between to gain power has decided that Mac is his last link to gain the power he craves. He’s deranged and thinks that he is better and smarter than Mac and that he can take him down single handedly.

I really liked this story. The pages turned very quickly in this book and I hated for the story to end. The men of Cover Six Security are lethal, protective, and very alpha. Mac is a man who follows his gut feelings and very rarely has it failed him. When he didn’t listen to his gut was when trouble and destruction hit. Mac and TR are a great couple and I loved reading their story.

I hated for the book to end. The writing of this book was great, it kept my interest throughout the whole story, and I wanted more at the end. I loved the chemistry of the characters, both the men of the team as well as TR’s reaction to the men of the Security company. I look forward to more of the Cover Six Security men’s stories. I give this story a 4.5-star review and highly recommend it to readers who like military men, suspense, and stories of men who are taken to their knees by the woman who will hold their heart.

A story of tragedy, love, longing, and twists that you won’t see coming.

I really liked this story and the writing was done in a way that kept me pushing through the book to find out what happened in the past, what was going to happen, and how these two were going to live their Happily Ever After.

Declan, is a young man who has been through enough tragedy to last anyone’s lifetime. His tragedy led to things in his life that drew him to substances to help him find ways to cope with life and his demons. His family has been funding Tristan Island for many years and he feels that if he can get away from the temptations in Boston, he can clean himself up. Although, there are dark thoughts that are plaguing him as well.

Finely, a young woman who has been through her fair share of tragedy as well. Both of her parents are gone, and she’s raised by her grandmother on the tiny Island of Tristan, the only way to get to the Island was by boat. No large boats could dock on the island though, they had to anchor away from shore and small skiffs would bring people back and forth.

These two are drawn to each other because of their childhood. They both have secrets and neither one is sure of their feelings for each other. This story has a few twists and is written in a way that you think you know what’s happening or going to happen, but then you are surprised by what really happens. The ending of the book, from around chapter 44 on, I was so surprised by the twists of the story.

I had a hard time starting this book because it is so full of information and story that it was almost too much to take in, but when I got into it, I hated to put it down. I give this story a 4-star review and recommend it to readers who like to read love stories with suspense and twists that will keep you guessing until the end of the book. Besides, who wouldn’t love the cover of this book?

Another great story. I loved this book as much as I did the first one. The search for Isaac’s killer is leading nowhere and Cade is afraid of losing more than his mind over trying to find out who killed his cousin.

The Kings of Mayhem are going through a tough time. The death of their members and family is causing so much stress in the club and the MC has no idea who is picking them off.

This story drew me in from the beginning because of where the first book left off. I felt like I was part of the story because I grew to love Cade and Indy while reading The Kings of Mayhem, Book one. They have a strong connection and even with danger lurking and the fear of who may be next, these two grow more connected and stronger. Splitting up and sending Indy away seems like a good idea, but all that kept going through my mind was, even if she’s not near you, she is still in danger because your love is so strong.

I loved this book and really look forward to more of the Kings of Mayhem MC books. I hope there are more to come with stories for other characters. I give this story a 5-star review and highly recommend it to MC lovers who like suspense and second chances as well.

When I opened my eyes, the door to the bathroom opened and Cade stepped in, his face and hair soaked with rain.
I watched him pull his shirt over his head, remove his boots, and the rest of his clothes. When he was completely naked, he stepped into the shower, and without a word, took me in his arms and pressed his mouth to mine. My body immediately responded and I melted against him, seeking comfort and pleasure in his hard body as it commanded me backwards until my back was against the wet, tiled wall. His big hands moved up to my face while his mouth moved fiercely over mine until his kiss left me breathless.
But his kiss petered out as his emotion overtook him. I looked up into his tormented face. Pain and grief were like shadows in his eyes. His face was stiff and I could feel his heartbreak radiating from him with every beat of his heart. He dropped his forehead to mine.
“I don’t know how to do this,” he said, his voice deep and strong, but at the same time, pained and heartbroken.
“It’s going to be okay,” I whispered.
He drew in a deep breath, his hooded eyes fixed to mine. “I don’t know what I would do if I lost you . . .” His voice broke and his thumbs found the slick skin of my lower lip, his eyes intensely focused on it. I had only seen Cade cry once. When he was eighteen and he’d ridden all the way to Seattle to beg me to come back to him after we had broken up. Otherwise, he was fiercely stoic. But now, standing in the steam, he was barely in control.
“I’m not going anywhere,” I replied.
His anguish was deep. I watched him squeeze his eyes shut and felt the slow exhale of breath as he opened them again. Droplets of water fell in rivulets down his beautiful face and dripped onto his parted lips.
His brows drew together.
“It hurts,” he whispered.
I nodded. “I know.”
He tried to kiss me but his lips trembled against mine and he pulled away. He slapped his palms against the tiled wall and took a moment. Water poured over his head and down his broad, muscular back. His face crumpled and he slowly sank to his knees, burying his face in my stomach.
