A FREE prequel to Fluffy
From billionaires to BBWs to new adult rock stars, Julia finds a sensual, goofy joy in every contemporary romance she writes. Unlike Shannon from Shopping for a Billionaire, she did not meet her husband after dropping her phone in a men’s room toilet (and he isn’t a billionaire she met in a romantic comedy).
She lives in New England with her husband and three children where she is the only person in the household with the gene required to change empty toilet paper rolls.

A story of the fall from Grace and fighting to find your way back.
Hastings is on top of the world. She and her husband are big names and players in the financial world. After eight years of marriage, Hastings still works to keep ahead of the game and keep her name in the lime-light and works very hard to get her own deals and prove to her husband that she is just as good at her job. She’s a go getter and always working to stay on top of her career and make money. One incident in her life will bring everything she knows crashing down around her and she will have to rebuild her life and will find herself in the process.
Ian is a well-known billionaire and works in the financial world just like Hastings and her husband, Burke. He has been attracted to Hastings for years and they have been rivals for years. The fall of Hastings will give Ian the chance he has been waiting for, but at what cost. He is also keeping a big secret from Hastings that could end their future before it goes any further.
I really enjoyed this story. It was funny, sad, and entertaining. I love the characters in this series and have enjoyed each of them. The women are funny, sassy, strong, and have each found their own troubles in this series. The men are strong, powerful, rich, and protective of their women and will do whatever they can to protect and keep their women safe and happy. This has been a great series and I give it a 4-star review. If you’re looking for a Rom Com this book and series is a great one to pick up.

It’s been 3 years since I started Sassy Redhead Book Reviews and in that time I have read so many books. In the years since I started on June 12, 2017, I have written 1, 274 posts, had 11, 989 views, 7,569 visitors, and have 299 followers. I have been contacted by various authors to read and review their books, and have enjoyed doing so. I have discovered many new to me authors and still enjoy reading, reviewing and promoting authors. In 2020 alone I have already done 335 posts.
I would like to thank all that have visited, commented and shared my posts in the three years my blog has been up and running, and I would like to thank two very important people that helped me get started with my blog and by reviews, Sue Coletta @SueColetta1 and Rosie Amber @rosieamber1. Sue was kind enough to encourage me and guide me in creating Sassy Redhead Book Review when I reached out to her after reading one her books in 2017 and she suggested I contact Rosie Amber, who kindly added me to her book review team and guided me in writing my reviews and posting. Thank you both, your kindness, guidance and friendship mean a lot to me, and Sue, your books ROCK!
I read a few different genres but as you can tell my from my blog posts, most of them are Romance whether it be dark, mafia, MC, military, or the few paranormal. I do enjoy reading psychological thrillers, suspense, mystery, and thrillers as well as police procedural. I love a good book and to me a good book is a book that will draw me in from the first page, keep my interest throughout, gives me all of the feels and leaves me wanting more of the story and characters.
I’d like to gift two of my followers with a $10 Amazon Gift Card as a thank you for your support. In a random drawing of my followers, @ailishsinclair7 and @jillburkishaw were drawn. I will be in contact to get your GC to you. Congratulations, and thank you to all of my followers and supporters. Have a great day and stay safe and healthy.

I’m a mob boss with a tarnished name, leading a kingdom in the shadows of disgrace.
She’s a ballerina, the sister of my underboss, dancing her way through life.
Until her, all I wanted was to be straightened out.
But with power comes sacrifice.
With respect comes fear.
With love comes death.
The rule of the streets is to take or be taken.
Some legends are born, others are made.
But not all survive.
*Originally featured as a novella in Mobbed Up, the #TNTNYC20 exclusive paperback anthology, Straightened Out is a full-length mafia romance novel and the first installment in The Pastore Crime Family series. *

Series: Bratva Blood Duet #2
“No, you don’t. You can be normal again, though. You can go back to your life. To your dance classes with your neighbor, and helping your grandparents, and being generally kind and good. You had that walk on the wild side you craved, and you didn’t enjoy it. Lesson learned.”
It’s not a lesson learned, though, because I can’t stop craving him.
He’s my walk on the wild side, and I don’t want it to end. I tried to tell myself I did. Tried to convince myself I was done with him, but he pulls me back in each time. Having him so close to me, holding me, is pure torture.
I once thought he couldn’t be my shelter because he was the storm. Now I wonder if he’s really the jagged rocks guarding the bay. I’m in the bay, right in the eye of the storm, and it’s not me he’ll smash to bits, but anyone who gets close or dares to harm me.
I turn in the water until I’m facing him and study his face. He’s not classically handsome. His features are too hard, his body too big, his face too arrogant. He’s beautiful to me, though. Truly, breathtakingly beautiful. From the first moment I saw him, he stopped the clocks for me, and they haven’t started since.
Reaching up, I trace the outline of his jaw with one wet finger. He doesn’t move, but something subtle changes in him; he goes on alert. Like the predator he is, he watches me, eerily still, waiting, seeing if I’ll go ahead and offer myself up to him.
The one thing my books in both genres have in common are gritty themes, and alpha heroes who are damaged but oh-so-redeemable!

The finale of Bratva Blood Duet was action packed and left me wanting more.
Konstantin does not trust easily and the betrayal he endures makes him that much more paranoid and leaves him questioning so much. There is more than one war that Konstantin is fighting, and he needs to find a way to win them both and keep the woman that he can’t seem to forget.
Cassie is so afraid of the situation she finds herself in and she wants to go home, but she can’t if she wants to live. When Konstantin takes Cassie to Paris things get a bit more confusing for her. When danger finds her in Paris, she has to decide whether she can find a way to live with Konstantin or if she has to give him up for good. It’s a real battle in her mind.
I loved this finale of this Duet. I couldn’t wait to start it and hated to see that I had finished it. I want more of Konstantin, Cassie, Vasily, Bohdan, Andrius and the others. They bring this book to life and are very entertaining. Konstantin is a ruthless Pakhan and businessman. He will win this war if it kills him and he will protect Cassie at all costs while doing it. The men in this story were ruthless and cunning. I give this book a 5-star review and cannot wait for more of these characters. I highly recommend this Duet to readers that love to read books that lead to Alpha, strong men finding the one person that makes them question everything they believed about themselves. Konstantin and Cassie have more than one battle going on is this story and the outcome may surprise you.

So much heart and all the feels.
Jay doesn’t feel as if he fits into the mold of the Texas grown boy. He loves his family and doesn’t want to leave them, but he just doesn’t feel complete living in small town Texas, and he has never been the Texan wearing cowboy boots and hat. He’s part of the family business but that really isn’t even what he wants in life. The loss of Carson hit the family hard and he can’t bring himself to leave the family to move away, but how can he feel complete and have the life he wants if he stays in Texas? A happenstance meeting in a diner a town away could be his escape and his future. The trouble is that the tiny girl that doesn’t look like most of the other women in this town is shy and timid. Jay’s kindness and gentle nature could draw her out though.
Kailee is not your typical Texan. With her dark skin and head full of braids, she doesn’t look like most of the women in the small town she is hiding in. She’s a shy girl that is in hiding and it seems as though trouble follows her. She is hiding from a man that she thought she could always trust, but after a visit from the police that told her to go on the run, she is confused and doesn’t know what to believe anymore. The handsome, gentle man that comes into the diner she works in draws her. She’s attracted to him, but she knows that if she gets involved, she may have to leave at any time. Her presence and draw to Jay could be the end for the Shelby family though, and she can’t allow that.
I love Bry Ann’s stories. They are always full of Alpha men, kindhearted men, and strong, beautiful women that bring these tough guys to their knees and Jay did not disappoint with these characteristics. Jay is tough just like his brothers, but he has a softer heart and his relationship with Iris is testament to that softness. All of the Shelby boys adore Iris, their little sister and protect her vehemently, but Jay and Iris are closer in age and he gave her the nickname Nemo. Jay’s kind heart shows when he first sees Kailee and notices her timid personality and shyness. He’s gentle, kind, and soft with her and the chemistry between these two is off the charts, just like Kingston and Blythe, and Hunter and Taylor.
Bry Ann always leaves me wanting more of her stories and I love all of her characters. Her books are full of action, suspense, danger, great characters, and so many feels it’s hard to get through her books without shedding tears. I give this story a 5-star review and want to tell you that you need to one-click this book today. I have read all of her books and she is one of my authors that I can’t wait to read.

Stephan is the leader of the Ravens and tensions are high between the Ravens and the Tigers. Stephan has been taken and is found by Laney. These two find more than they bargained for when Laney rescued Stephan and now they have more questions than answers.
Laney has an idea of who is behind the trouble that Stephan and Laney have walked into. She finds out that she has been betrayed by someone that she thought was a good friend, but also someone that she thought loved her.
This story was a short read for me and maybe because I have not read the first four books in the series, I didn’t find it to draw me in. These two will have to fight their pasts if they want to protect their gang and their city. The situations in the book seemed a little forced to me. I give the story and 3.5-star review and would recommend that you read these books from the first book in order to know what is going on. I am giving an honest review of this book based on reading only this book in the series.
