About Monique

Growing up in New York City, I used to walk the hot pavements in the melting heat of the long summers, and dream. Uptown to downtown, Eastside to the Westside, and underground to catch a subway racing out into the boroughs.

During my wanderings, my magic pencil spun out fantasies full of romance, with first meetings, heartbreaks, and reunions. Sometimes my boy crush (unrequited, of course) starred as the hero.

I grew up, and after a stint in art school, became a lawyer ‘cuz a woman’s got to live. I came from parents who fled to France as refugees, and as an attorney, I dedicated my work to helping survivors of trauma and persecution.

I believe in them. In their grit, in their determination to hold on, to pull through and, somehow, someway, to keep themselves, body and soul, intact.

Perhaps that is why I am drawn to writing stories of men and women who live through heart-rending pain, desperate yearnings and, ultimately, a place of redemption.

I, myself, fought the urge to get off the expected, safe path for a long time. Until one day I couldn’t go on unless I took a chance and made a change. I began to write, stopped, and began again … and again until

I gave in to it and here I am.

He’s the oldest of the family and the one that has taken a lot of burdens onto his shoulders to guide and protect his brothers and sister. He also has secrets that he has not shared with his family and they are holding him back. Vincenzo Marcone made a mistake in trusting the wrong person and now he has to figure out how to protect his family and their business. His business partner has notified him of a threat against his family. While they are talking, his business partner asks him for help with a threat against his family and this one could be more dangerous to both families.

She found out what her father’s business is and has taken a stand to destroy it and save as many women as she can. Even if it means that it puts her in more danger. The trouble is that Aria Lovric didn’t expect that her father would be able to find her and her mother so soon. Now she’s fighting for her life and can trust on one. She’s also dealing with the fact that her actions caused the situation and put her mother in the cross hairs with her. When she asks for help and is denied, she decides to find her uncle on her own and destroy him. The only problem is that she’s putting her life in danger and he can’t let that happen.

I love this series; The Men of Mayhem and Vincenzo’s story was just as great as the others in the series. The Marcone men are very Alpha, dangerous and sexy. They are loyal to family and will stop at nothing to protect their loved ones. This includes the Severinov family as well since they are aligned now. It is great to see these two families working together to protect and keep their powerful families on top of their worlds. They have some dark secrets, and they are still reeling from the death of their father, but they are a family and will do anything for each other, even kick each other’s backsides when it’s warranted. These books are dark and entertaining. The family banter is fun to read, and I love that this family may argue about things, but at the end of the day they are loyal to each other and love each other. I give this story a 5-star review and am looking forward to more from Ms. Luciani.

And once Judge learns why she’s come to Manning Grove, he finds he has no choice but to get involved. And that could create more complications than they’re worth.

Note: Blood & Bones: Judge is the third book in the Blood Fury MC series. As always, this book has no cheating, no cliffhanger and has an HEA. It’s recommended to read this series in order.
