Ellery Cross married a man she’s never met to protect her family. Unfortunately, no love ever developed between her and her husband. Now years later, she’s finally found her opportunity to leave him and hope that her family stays safe. If she doesn’t leave, her life will be forfeit.

A life on the run is not ideal, but Ellery has no choice. When she ends up in a small town after finding Harper Security on the internet, she’s pleasantly surprised with the town and the friendly Tiny Home community she finds herself in. When she goes to Harper Security and tells Kane what she’s looking for, he offers to help her and when he finds out that she’s been reported as missing, his determination to help her and protect her grows more urgent.

I love the Harper Security Ops books and Kane’s story was a great addition to the series. I am looking forward to Leo’s story next.
