A gripping story of a woman that gets a chance at clearing her name as a practicing lawyer and proving the full truth of a case that caused her life to spiral out of control. When Miranda finally finds her way again and is starting a new chapter her past comes back full force. Now she has a chance to clear her name with her previous boss, show those that she is going to be working with that she is capable of multitasking and get a man off the streets that should have gone to jail years ago. However, things will get more dangerous the further she digs into the past to put this man away.

Miranda has pulled herself out of the darkness and is doing something she enjoys. She’s still involved in the law and has found a way to continue her passion of helping others by giving advice through a new channel. When her past comes back to haunt her, she finds that not all was as it seemed, and that danger lurks everywhere. There are twists, turns, and connections that will be discovered and brought to light while she works to put away a dangerous man.

I really liked this book. It was suspenseful, a bit twisted and full of great characters. I loved Miranda’s whit and her determination. I give this book a 4-star review and look forward to reading more of Ms. Olmsted’s stories in the future.
