Review of The Girl in the Mist: A Misted Pines Novel by Kristen Ashley @KristenAshley68 @jennw23

⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ 5 out of 5

Wow! This book was not what I was expecting. I was expecting a Thriller/Suspense, which is what I got, but I was not ready for Cade Bohannan or his boys, Jason, and Jesse, or his daughter Celeste. Delphine Larue was a great surprise as well. Celeste was a sweet girl that was in need of a woman to treat her like someone that was wanted and happy to have her around.

I loved these characters and the story. This was my first read by Kristen Ashley, and I was a little disappointed in the beginning because it was a slow start, but once it got going it was a fantastic read. I loved the slow burn, even if it did frustrate me at first. I loved the connection with the Bohannan family had with Delphine Larue. The main characters were fantastic, and the side characters were just as entertaining and enjoyable to read.

I love a suspense story that keeps me guessing through the book until the suspect is revealed. It makes for a much better read and Kristen Ashley accomplished that with The Girl in the Mist. I would love to read more about the characters in Misted Pines, especially Megan and Kimmy. These characters were endearing and entertaining. I give this story a 5-star review and will be watching for more books, to hopefully come out in the near future of the Misted Pines characters
