Review of Stolen: Dante’s Vow by Natasha Knight @NatashaKnight13

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 out of 5

Dante’s been looking for her for 5 years. He made a vow to find the little girl that was mistaken as his sister and taken when his family was taken from him in a brutal attack. Now that he’s tracked her down, he will do anything to keep her safe.

She was taken from her grandmother when she was very young. Now she’s older and conditioned to say that she is Elizabeth, but there are some that know the truth and are looking to rescue her.

Once they found out that Mara was alive they did everything in their power to find her. Now they have and Dante can’t seem to get it in his head that she is off limits. He wants her and he will have her as his. I loved this story about Dante and Mara. It is full of action, danger, darkness, and a man that knows he shouldn’t want the young girl, but can’t fight his own heart. Like other books by Natasha Knight, this book sucked me in from the first page and wouldn’t let go until the end. It was a great read. I give this book 5-stars and I look forward to more books by Natasha Knight. She knows how to write dark, dangerous characters that you can’t seem to forget.

Review of Ace Magnets (A Good Run of Bad Luck #3) by Giulia Lagomarsino @crzybookladyluv @EJBookPromos

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5

These books should really be turned into a TV series or movie. The detail that Ms. Lagomarsino writes in her books is awesome and so visual. Ace Magnets is no different. I love the characters and the plot of these stories.

Corduroy finally gets his HEA. He’s attracted to the quirky, new woman in town, but he fights it for as long as he can. Jack, the sheriff, and the Cortell brothers have their part in this story as well, but Corduroy can mess up just fine on his own. He will be pushed outside of his comfort zone and will be pushed to fight for the woman he loves, but in the end, his life will be so much better.

Abby is a quirky, interesting young woman that lives her live not worried about what others think of her. She’s a tiny woman with a big personality that will knock Corduroy to his knees and take no prisoners in the process.

I loved it! Corduroy has always been the match maker, and now he’s on the receiving end of Jack and the Cortell’s working to make him realize his attraction to Abby. This was another great story that had me laughing, crying, and wanting to smack Corduroy and Abby to make them see what was right in front of them. The detail of writing makes you feel as though you can see what is happening and had me laughing out loud more than once, garnering me funny looks. I give this book a 5-star review and would give it triple that if possible. I am looking forward to the next book in the series and highly recommend this book as well as any books in the series, and the Cortell Brother series. The books are funny, page turning, and steamy.

Corduroy
Carter Roy, the man that attracts all the ladies, but never gets them. He’s sexy and charming, but hasn’t found the woman that can keep his attention.

Abby
I just moved to this town six months ago, but I’m already loving it! Granted, I get lost a lot and I tend to stick out like a sore thumb. And then there’s the deputy-sheriff. He’s hot, but fighting this attraction every step of the way. I just have to find a way to make him see me through my six cats, crazy outfits, and my propensity to get into car accidents.

“Who is she?” Jack asked, bringing me out of my inner-musings.

“Who?”

“The woman you’re going all googly-eyed over.”

I waved him off. “I don’t know what you’re talking about. I’m not googly-eyed over anyone.”

“Right, you just got this far off look in your eyes that I only see when you’re dating someone new.”

“Well, then you’re wrong, because I’m not dating anyone.”

“You don’t have to be to appear that way. So, it’s someone you’ve met, but you’re not with,” he nodded to himself as he started walking around the room. “And it can’t be someone you’ve already dated, so that knocks out half the town.”

I rolled my eyes at him. He placed his hand against his chin, scratching at his jaw as he thought.

“And it can’t be someone from out of town, at least, not that far out of town, because you hardly ever leave town.”

“This is ridiculous.”

“You were just at the hospital. It’s possible you met someone there.”

I held my breath, wondering if he would guess who it was.

“But you’re not the type to fall for a damsel in distress. You’ve always liked women that could watch after themselves. Like Anna,” he grinned.

He would definitely never guess Abby then. She was the opposite of Anna in every way.

“So, it’s got to be someone new to the area, someone that you’re interested in, but since you haven’t actually asked her out, there has to be something holding you back.”

He stopped his pacing, snapping his fingers at me. “That new chick.” He snapped his fingers as he tried to come up with a name. “Abigail. Yes, that woman you hugged in the middle of the street. That’s who it is, isn’t it?”

Crap, I was so screwed. “Why would you think it’s her?”

“Oh, come on! You were hugging a woman!”

“Yeah, because she was upset.”

“And you don’t like to comfort women. That’s not your MO at all.”

“Exactly,” I said, hoping he would disprove his own theory.

“And that’s what it is about her. She’s good looking, and despite the fact that you don’t like weak women, you like her.”

“She’s not weak,” I argued, giving myself away. I closed my eyes, shaking my head as he laughed.

“Holy shit. So, what is it about her?”

“Nothing. There’s absolutely nothing about her. It’s not her.”

“It’s gotta be the whole damsel thing. The question is, what makes her different?”

“I just said it’s not her.”

“Right, which means it is.”

He rushed over to his computer and started typing.

“What are you doing?”

“Checking her background.”

“Why?” I asked, rushing over to his side.

“Because I want to know more about her.” He pulled up her name in the system, laughing at what he found. I sighed, rubbing at my eyes. “So, not only is she a damsel in distress, but she’s a very chaotic damsel, and that’s what you like about her.”

“I never said I liked her!”

“I should have known it. The moment I saw the footage of you holding her in the street, I should have known you were going to fall for her. Of course, I’m surprised it took this long. But now that I think about it, whenever we go out—”

“The people always shout,” I interrupted, hoping to throw him off, but he kept going.

“—you’re always looking around, like you’re watching for someone.”

“Bullshit. You’re seeing what you want to see.”

“No, I’m finally paying attention. So, tell me about her.”

“There’s nothing to tell,” I argued. “I don’t know anything about her.”

“You must know something,” he laughed, “otherwise you wouldn’t be so wrapped up in her.”

I walked away from him, sitting down at my desk with a huff. “I’m not wrapped up in anyone. I don’t like her. I don’t know her, and I definitely am not the man for her.”

“So you do know something about her. Because if you didn’t, you wouldn’t know if you were the right man for her or not,” he said, jabbing a finger in my direction.

“Fine, you want to know about her? She’s some kind of hippie. She has a living room filled with fluffy pillows, no furniture, and weird tea.”

He nodded, grinning at me the whole time. “Did you drink the tea?”

“Fuck off,” I said, storming out of the station, his laughter floating behind me.

I’m a stay at home mom that loves to read. Some of my favorite titles are Pride and Prejudice, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and Horatio Hornblower. I started writing when I was trying to come up with suggestions on ways I could help bring in some extra money. I came up with the idea that I could donate plasma because you could earn an extra $500/month. My husband responded with, “No. Find something else. Write a blog. Write a book.” I didn’t think I had anything to share on blog that a thousand other mothers hadn’t already thought of. I decided to take his challenge seriously and sat down to write my first book, Jack. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed writing. From there, the stories continued to flow and I haven’t been able to stop. I hope my readers enjoy my books as much as I enjoy writing them. Between reading, writing, and taking care of three small kids, my days are quite full.

EXCERPT

Once upon a time, there was a girl with a crown too heavy for her head and a prince who was ready to steal it all for himself.
“No, give that back!” I scream as Luca runs past me and snatches the crown right off my delicate head.
He laughs out loud and spins around on the grass a few feet away from me, dangling the crown between his index finger and thumb while wearing a disgusting smirk on his face. He blows aside a strand of his brown hair, his dark eyes taunting me. “C’mon then. I dare you to get it back.”
My eye twitches, and my hand curls into a fist. “Give. It. Back,” I say through gritted teeth.
When I approach him, he keeps backing up, making it impossible to retrieve.
“Stop,” I hiss.
“No,” he replies, grinning so broadly I want to take off these pretty new heels I got from Mom and jab them in his face.
Instead, I dig my heels in and sprint toward him, trying to catch him off guard. He twirls the crown around right as I catch up, giggling hard as he sidesteps to avoid me. “Missed,” he muses.
I growl in frustration. “Luca!”
“Jill!” He imitates my voice with a high-pitched tone, and the sound makes my blood boil.
“C’mon, Luca …” My sister, Jasmine, sighs as she follows us around the garden in her pink dress.
“What, Jasmine?” he scoffs.
“It’s not funny!” I jump to snatch the crown from his hand, but he keeps throwing it up and down, out of my reach, backtracking like he enjoys seeing me struggle.
So I stop and put my hands against my side. “Why do you do this? Huh?”
He raises a brow and shrugs. “Because you look stupid.”
My jaw drops, and a gasp escapes my mouth. “I do not!”
“Only queens and princesses wear crowns,” he retorts. “And you’re neither.”
I’m fuming so much it feels like steam might exit from my ears. “I am a queen!”
He waggles a finger. “Queens are only queens if they’re married to a king.” He plops the crown onto his own head. “Maybe I’ll be one now.”
Jasmine begins to giggle, but when I look at her, she slaps her hand in front of her mouth like she’s trying to hide it.
“C’mon then, Jill. You wanted to be a queen,” Luca jests, and he waves his hand and dips into a bow.
I frown. “What? You want me to be your queen?” I snort out loud.
He cocks his head. “A queen isn’t a queen if she isn’t married.”
I revolt at that thought.
Me marrying Luca? No way.

Review of Brutal Defender (Mafia Wars #8, The O’Malley Family) by Maggie Cole @GiveMeBooksPR

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5

She is defiant because her father is too overprotective. She just wants to be treated as a family member and not kept in the dark about everything that happens. Her brothers are part of the family business, but she’s sheltered by all of them as well as her father. When she gets involved with a man that her father and brothers deem to be bad news and won’t listen to her family about staying away from Donato, Arianna Marino is given a choice. She can marry a man that is much older and has kids close to her age, or she can marry an Irishman. Either way, she will be taken away from all that she knows.

Killian O’Malley is indebted to Tully O’Connor after a he helps the O’Malley’s out of a bad situation. Killian is ready to fulfill his debt, but when he finds out that it will be more along the lines of a lifetime of fulfillment, his whole world seems to implode.

I loved this story. Killian is not prepared at all to fulfill his debt to Tully, but he’s made his promise and expects Tully to hold up his end. Killian and Arianna are actually a great match, but they need to find their way to coexist and live together. The O’Malley’s have more problems than just the union of the Irish and the Italian family from New York. I love the Ivanov and O’Malley families. I love the Mafia War series and I am really excited for the next book, Declan’s story. I give this book a 5-star review.

The server comes over and fills my glass with Barolo. She tries to fill Killian’s glass, and he puts his hand over it. “I’m good, thank you.”

I question, “You don’t drink wine?”

He chuckles. “You make that sound like a sin.”

“It is,” I insist.

“I stick with whiskey and Guinness.” I raise my eyebrows. I’ve never met a man before who doesn’t drink wine. In my house, it’s at every dinner.

Selena laughs, and I tear my eyes away from Killian. She has a beautiful Greek accent. “You can’t get any more Irish than the O’Malleys.”

“Are you from Greece?” I ask.

She nods. Her eyes light up. “Yes. I moved to Chicago when I was barely in my twenties. If you want, I’ll take you around and show you the city when you have a chance?”

“Sure. That would be really nice.”

“Have you been there before?” she asks.

“No.”

Killian dramatically gasps. “You’ve never been to Chicago?”

“Now you’re acting like that’s a sin,” I tease.

“Anna moved from New York, too,” another Russian man across the table states.

The woman next to him smiles. She says, “It’s like a smaller New York but with its own charm. I’m sure you’ll love it.”

Her husband beams and says, “Since you’re all here, we should tell you. Anna’s pregnant, too, so we’ll be staying in tonight.”

The room erupts in congratulations.

“Do you like yoga?” Selena asks.

“Yes.”

“Great. Us girls meet up for yoga and do brunch afterward on Saturdays. You should come.”

“I’d love to,” I reply, grateful I’ll have something to look forward to with some other women. I’ve never really had girlfriends. The private school Papà sent me to was full of backstabbing snobs. When I got older, several I was close to got mad at me for their boyfriends hitting on me. I didn’t even like their scumbag beaus. My best friend wanted Massimo. When he turned her down, she stopped calling me. One by one, all my friendships disintegrated. I decided it was too hard to meet genuine women and stopped trying. My wedding party consists of my cousins who are younger than me and I’m not even close to. I opted to meet them at the church and not even let them help me get ready.

Will things be different in Chicago? Is it possible to have a group of girlfriends?

Review of Triplets Rise: Ruthless Kings LaGrange, Book 1 by K. L. Savage!! @klsavage_author and @GiveMeBooksPR

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5

Eden, Eli, and Ezekiel (Zeke) Monroe decided to find their own way after all of the trouble they were running into with the club in La Grange, that they were born into. Their father is the President of the La Grange chapter, but these three wanted to make their own way. Moving to Miami was a good idea. They were taking the city over and making money. Eden knew that she was born to lead, but with the way that her father and others saw things, she would never take his place as President. She was always trying to prove herself because she was a woman, but her twin brothers knew that she was a leader.

When the triplets get a call from home that they need to return, there is no questioning it, they leave immediately and what they walk into is a disaster. Now they have to clean up the mess that they found when they returned home. Eden may have caused more of a mess too with her need to prover herself. Now the triplets are back home and wading through the disaster that is left behind since they left town and things went downhill. One man is the cause of all the problems, and they will need to figure out how far he went and what all of the damage is. I really enjoyed this new chapter in the series. Another great group of characters that I look forward to getting to know better. I am really excited for more of Savage. I think this chapter has a lot to bring to the Ruthless Kings family and I can’t wait to read more. I give this story a 5-star review and highly recommend any of the Ruthless Kings MC books to readers that are into MC romance and a group of crazy bikers that have you falling in instant love.
