⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5
He was reassigned to NJ from CA because he couldn’t control his temper. Now he’s back in his hometown and his home police department. He has a lot of bridges to mend after five years. His father is holding a grudge and his two best friends have a secret that they’ve been keeping for two years. Can Maddox find his place back in his hometown and the Chester Police Department? Maddox’s two best friends from his childhood are Patrick “Rick” and Adelyn, when he had to move to New Jersey for his reassignment, he kept in touch with Rick, but not too closely with Adelyn.
A story of a second chance at love with the one person that they loved when they were younger may not be possible, but when tragedy strikes Maddox and Adelyn may find their way to each other. Maddox has to mend some bridges in his life after the way he had to leave to go to New Jersey, but he’s older now and with that maturity comes knowledge and self-control.
I really enjoyed this story, and the characters were great. It has tragedy, love, family, action and lifelong friendships. Maddox is a man on a mission but he’s also a man that doesn’t want to betray a close friendship, so he is willing to sacrifice what he wants for that friendship. I give this book a 5-star review and look forward to more of the Everyday Heroes World books.
