A group of childhood friends that came back together as adults and created an MC with the name of their childhood group, Sentinels of Babylon. A retired police officer, a former high security prison guard, a former sniper and a former CIA agent. All burned out from their jobs or fighting demons of their own coming together to form a family and finding their own peace. Evan “Evil” Villiers retired from the police force and searched out his childhood friends, the Sentinels of Babylon name they called themselves in childhood is now the name of their MC. They have a bar that is patronized by police officers on the ground floor and then their MC meets in the top floor where they have a meeting room for officers only to discuss the jobs they do.
She is a public defender that is not well liked by the police officers, mostly because she’s good at her job, but also because she defends some criminals that would be better off behind bars. Lucy Simmons has her reasons for becoming a public defender and she won’t apologize for doing her job. She’s strait laced and follows the laws to a T, some of that is to keep from being targeted by the police that have problem with her doing her job. She also can’t seem to get Evan Villiers out of her mind. She has always found him attractive, but she doesn’t date police officers, good thing he retired.
I really enjoyed this story. It was a change from a lot of MC’s that I read. It has great characters, a good story line and keeps you wondering if Lucy and Evil will be able to find a way to work out their differences and have a relationship that they can both accept. Evil is fighting with some things on his own and Lucy finds herself in a situation that will put a huge roadblock between them, but things could work out in the end, if you believe in fate. I give this story a 5-star review and look forward to Sentinel’s Kiss in the near future. If you are a reader of MC’s but are looking for a different twist, you’ll enjoy Necessary Evil.
I had something to live for. The moment I saw him, I knew. His eyes would hypnotize. His lips would speak the most beautiful promises. His body? Made for pleasure. But if Corrado Capitani thought that he could fool me into thinking he was a good man, he was wrong. The moment I saw him, I knew the truth. Those eyes hid his poisonous heart. Those lips were vessels of deception. That body? Made for inflicting pain. He wasn’t sent from heaven. He was sent to drag me back to hell. I had something to die for. Alcina Parisi had a price on her head, and she’d eluded the best. She thought no one would ever find her, but I did. Everyone in our world called me Scorpio—the man who never let the enemy go. But she was a weapon, not an adversary, and I’d claimed her as mine. Mercenary is the third of three books set in the savage world of the Gangsters of New York series.
Bella Di Corte has been writing romance for seven years, even longer if you count the stories in her head that were never written down, but she didn’t realize how much she enjoyed writing alphas until recently. Tough guys who walk the line between irredeemable and savable, and the strong women who force them to feel, inspire her to keep putting words to the page. Apart from writing, Bella loves to spend time with her husband, daughter, and family. She also loves to read, listen to music, cook meals that were passed down to her, and take photographs. She mostly takes pictures of her family (when they let her) and her three dogs. Bella grew up in New Orleans, a place she considers a creative playground. She loves to connect with readers, so don’t hesitate to email her at belladicorte@gmail.com if you’d like to reach out.
He’s lived his life believing one thing and discovers his whole life was a lie and that his father never claimed his as his son. It doesn’t matter now though because in order to take over the head of the family when his grandfather retires, he has to take a wife. He has no desire to marry or have a family, but it is the only way to prove that he is fit for the job as the head of the family, so he agrees. He also made a mistake and has a price on his head so he is exiled to Italy by his grandfather until things can be taken care of. Corrado Capitani has a score to settle and he won’t back down from it, nor will he change his mind about seeking the head of the man that killed his father.
She wanted nothing to do with Junior Napoli, but he threatened her and her family with his connections to the Capitani family and forced her to marry him. He paid for the way he treated Alcina Parisi when she took her revenge on his abuse and fled. Now she has a price on her head and has to hide away to stay alive and away from Silvio and his son, Silvio “Junior”. She has been promised to another man for protection for her and her family. However, when she lays eyes on Corrado her heart and her head war with each other.
I loved Mercenary’s story. Corrado is as dangerous and deadly as Cash and Machiavellian. He is also a stubborn man. Once he sets his mind on something there is no going back for him. The problem is that his stubbornness could get him killed or make him lose his family. There are a lot of secrets that come to light in this story, the same as the other Gangsters of New York stories, but it seemed as though the secrets in this story could be so much more damaging and have worse outcomes if people did not communicate or think things through. I love the characters in these stories, and I hope that Nunzio and Brooklyn have more of a story and Adriano needs a story. I loved the way that this story ended and that Mac and Corrado were able to form a cease fire between each other. I give this story and 5-star review and will be on the lookout for more books by Bella Di Corte. She definitely knows how to write a mafia story with angst, danger, action, suspense and deep love.
I’m a mob boss with a tarnished name, leading a kingdom in the shadows of disgrace. She’s a ballerina, the sister of my underboss, dancing her way through life. Until her, all I wanted was to be straightened out. But with power comes sacrifice. With respect comes fear. With love comes death. The rule of the streets is to take or be taken. Some legends are born, others are made. But not all survive.

Ryder is a pilot, retired military and a member of the Savage Hell MC. Since other brothers have been finding their HEA’s Ryder has been thinking more about how he would like to have more in his life too. He’s ready to settle down, get married, and raise a family.
Tatum is the little sister of a brother in the Savage Hell MC, Hart. He was also a police officer, that owns his own security business. Tatum has lost another job due to cutbacks at the boutique she was working at and is now looking for a place to live again. Her big brother tells her she needs to work this out on her own, so she’s angry with him when she leaves Savage Hell bar and isn’t really paying attention to where she’s going or what’s going on around her.
This is a great story of a chance meeting that puts Ryder in a cast and gives Tatum somewhere to live for his recuperation so she can take care of him. After Tatum finds out that her brothers past is coming back to get revenge and she is in the cross hairs, these two will find themselves in a remote place away from everyone and they will work out their relationship until things take a turn for the worse. I loved this story and have enjoyed the Savage Hell MC characters all throughout the stories. This story does not disappoint. Theirs danger, actions, romance, and a troubled woman that is sassy, strong, and made for Ryder. If you are a reader of MC’s and enjoy stories with great characters, you should read K.L. Ramsey’s Savage Hell MC books. I look forward to more of these characters in the series.

MY REVIEW: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5
Subterfuge – deceit used in order to achieve one’s goal.
A mob boss and a cartel are in battle to be the top group in Los Angeles and surrounding areas. They are against each other until the leader of the cartel decides that they could work together with his contacts and the mob bosses’ ideas and contacts, they could rule the Los Angeles area, and both get richer than they already are.
Detective Tom Stone and his team are in a battle to bring the cartel and the mob boss down and put them behind bars before more bodies show up or more drugs make it to their town. He’s a determined detective that won’t rest until he can bring them all down and help the lone survivor of the submarine wreckage that was found. Detective Stone is determined to help Mr. Delgado, a man that was taken along with his son at gun point to work for the mob boss.

The characters are entertaining, determined and focused while working to get the needed information to bring down the drug dealers. I give this story a 5-star review and look forward to more Tom Stone Detective novels to come. If you enjoy a fast paced, action packed, police detective stories, you should pick up Subterfuge.
Even as Teddy’s child grows in my belly, I feel myself locked in the jaws of grief I can’t escape. But I can’t allow my emotions to distract me. A very real threat lurks in the shadows, eagerly waiting for me to let my guard down for even an instant. Cameron is out there somewhere—and it’s only a matter of time before he finds me. Lucas vowed to protect me, yet with each fluttering kick I feel, I’m reminded that I’m more vulnerable than ever.
Lucas
Charlie was a liability to the family. But as the right hand to the mafia king, it wasn’t my job to question such things. I trusted Teddy and gave him the loyalty and respect he deserved. He ordered me to keep her safe, and that’s what I did. I never meant to fall for her, but with him gone, I will honor my word by keeping Charlie and his unborn child safe… no matter what it takes.
NOTE-Reader discretion is advised. This book contains mature content and themes some may find offensive, distressing and a potential trigger. Recommended for 18+. The Savage One is book three in the Hale Mafia Series. It is NOT a stand-alone. For the full story and experience, The Devious King and The Vengeful Queen should be read first.
BL lives in north Texas with her husband and three children. She enjoys writing different sub genres of romance, and building flawed and broken characters. You can most likely find her mommy-ing, watching her husband cook (because she is a horrible chef), getting tattoos, or walking into the pole you’ve told her to watch out for. She loves interacting with her readers and other authors in the community. Friends and family classify her as fierce, loyal and ditsy at times.
I am who I am, and I won’t apologize for it. I don’t know how to be… Normal. I have my reasons. I’ve been through hell. I’ve touched the flames themselves and I’ve danced with the devil. Intimately. Damnation torched my soul until it was black. Then I see her. I’m enthralled, but I can’t speak to her. She’s too pure. Too fragile. Too innocent. She doesn’t need to see my torched soul. She doesn’t need to taste my damnation. I watch what I can’t have. I swear I’ll protect her. Even if she doesn’t know I’m there. I get more… Enthralled. She loves books. I wonder if I could love them too. She loves wine. I imagine us sharing a glass. Imagination. What a tease. Enthralled. Entranced. Obsessed. She feels me there. Sees me out of the corner of her eye. I’m the reason the hair on the back of her neck is standing up. But I stay in the shadows where I belong. Until I can’t. Until the day I see her cry. Those tears feel like open wounds. I want to heal them. But all she does is run. So I follow. Enthralled. Entranced. Obsessed. RUTHLESS. I won’t stop until she no longer has a reason to cry. Even if it means I have to ride through the fires of hell one more time.

Wow! A businessman that keeps his legitimate businesses in London but is a Bratva Pakhan that hides his Bratva dealings in plain sight. She’s plain, a nerd and yet he can’t get her out of his mind. She is not his usual type and everyone around him questions his motives when he brings Cassie into his personal business and then has to protect her because she lied to him. Konstantin Silvanov is a rich, powerful man. He walked away from Cassie once when he found out she was engaged, but now she has been put right back in his path and he won’t walk away again until he’s had his fill of her.
Cassie has a job that she thought she really wanted, and enjoyed doing it until her fiancé, and a manager at the company she now works at, thanks to his help, decided that she was not enough for him and cheated on her and then broke up with her. Now Cassie’s life is not a sunny as it once was. She finds herself in a situation after a night of drinking and going home with a guy for a one-night stand, and the man that she dreams about finds her in his kitchen. Could things be any worse for Cassie? As a matter of fact, now that she is back in his path, yet.
I loved this story. After reading The Soldier and getting the background on Konstantin and the meeting of Konstantin and Cassie, I wanted to read The King, and I could not wait for The War after reading it. The characters in this Duet have been through a lot and this story really takes them through so much more. Konstantin and Cassie did not have an easy childhood, and they are so different from each other in life, but their circumstances bring them together and they have to figure out what they are feeling and fight for what they want. Cassie is so unsure of herself and her confidence and childhood almost hold her back from what she could have. She’s afraid in her situation, but she feels safe with Konstantin. I loved the characters, all of them, and the story is full of action, betrayal, danger, and some steamy scenes. I give this story a 5-star review and highly recommend it. I look forward to The War: Bratva Blood Duet Part Two.

REVIEWS FOR THE KING “Oh my beating heart! What a thrilling, twisted, and tantalizing tale SR Jones weaves. The King is a can’t-put-down mafia romance. So INTENSE and INTOXICATING. The King was my DRUG and I could not take enough hits of this HEADY HIGH. My heart raced the whole time reading. I was UTTERLY ADDICTED to the captivating characters and pulse-pounding plot.” Karen at Bookalicious Babes “Riveting…dark and beautifully written.” Honest-Bookworm “So intense, full of danger and secrets.” Amazon review “I love Mafia books and I can’t get enough of them. SR Jones knows how to write them. She’s feisty, raw, and a bit wild. Just the way I like it.” Bookworms Book Blog
Hi guys. I’m Skye, a paranormal and contemporary romance author from rainy Northern England. I write Paranormal romance as Skye Jones, and steamy dark romance as S.R. Jones. The one thing my books in both genres have in common are gritty themes, and alpha heroes who are damaged but oh-so-redeemable! When I’m not writing, I’m either walking my dogs, drinking coffee, or watching my fave TV shows such as The Sopranos, McMafia, and Little House on the Prairie, yep I have eclectic taste!
They call me Heaven, but I’m far from being a saint.
I served six years in prison for assault and battery, On a woman. If there is one thing people know about me, it’s how much I love women. I’d never lay a finger on them, unless it is all in pleasure, then yes, I plead guilty. I thought my past was behind me. I’m not like the other guys here. I’m not itching for payback, I only want to move on with my life. But she shows up. Heather Thomas. The governor’s other daughter. I only know because the woman I was accused of beating senseless was her sister. Now Heather is here, and things don’t look too promising for me. I shouldn’t be in the same space as Heather. It’s too dangerous. She sees me as I guilty man. After what she has been through, I don’t blame her. But she captivates me. I want her to believe me, to believe in me. I want to be her Heaven. I have to prove to her that I’m not the man I was set up to be in her mind. And then maybe, she’ll be captivated by me.
Kelli writes hot and steamy romances with delicious alpha males who will not stop until they get the women they crave exactly where they want them. Kelli’s heroes are tough as nails, hot as sin, and underneath the rough exterior is a heart of gold begging to be unleashed. If you think you can tame them, you’re probably right, but it won’t be an easy journey. AUTHOR LINKS AMAZON GOODREADS BOOKBUB INSTAGRAM TWITTER
MY REVIEW: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5
Asher Haven is the son of a California Senator. He was raised in a house where his parents heated each other and showed no love for him. He couldn’t wait to turn eighteen and move out and be on his own. He’s not like his parents, he has a heart that he wears on his sleeve, but he keeps to himself. He has one really good friend, Grace, and she is the sister of the one woman that he could see himself with, but she despises him. He kissed his friend once, but he and Grace decided it was like kissing siblings, so they stayed friends and that was it.
Grace and her sister Heather, are daughters of a respectable man that is convinced to run for Governor by Asher’s father. Heather finds herself in the hands of a kidnapper and rapist. She is rescued by Owen and Officer Howard and now finds herself in a huge house built into a cliff. She can’t seem to get herself out of the darkness she’s fallen into since she was kidnapped, until she hears a familiar voice outside her door.
I love The Underground Kings. The men are like Robin Hood, they steal from the rich, bad people and keep some riches for themselves, but they also donate a huge amount of what they steal. These men are all wrongly accused of crimes they did not commit but they were found in the location of the crimes. Now they are living their lives in a small town in California in a house that is huge and beautiful. It’s in a beautiful location as well. These men may not live their lives legally all the time, but are protective, possessive and loyal to their family by choice. When they find, or are reconnected to the women that complete them, their protective and possessive side comes out and they are even more dangerous now. Asher Haven is the little brother to the group, they call him Heaven because he is so good looking and always has a sunny disposition. This book shows a different side of Heaven completely and it shows him as being a human with a huge heart still. I’ve loved Heaven from the beginning of these stories and was so looking forward to his story. It was well worth the wait, and I loved it. I give this story a 5-star review and look forward to more stories with these characters, they are fun to read and their interactions, family atmosphere, and antics are entertaining to read. I love Officer Howard as well and hope to read a story about him and more of his interactions with The Underground Kings.
I read lots of books, from mythology retellings to literary fiction and I love to reread books from childhood, this is a place to voice my thoughts for fun. I also like to ramble about things such as art or nature every now and again.
