After a tragic loss, Owen is left to run the business on his own and tried to pull Ford out of his self-imposed exile and back to the land of the living. Owen has taken a job with a high-profile family and needs Ford to come back to work and be on his best behavior. Little do either man know that this job will test Fords resolve daily.
I got so into this book that I did not realize I was at the end until I read the last line and then I was so disappointed that it ended. This story is intriguing, stressful, and wonderful. I love Ford and want so much more of this broody man. He is distant, aloof, broody, and very sexy. I do have to warn you that there is a cliff hanger in this book, one which will leave you speechless. I need the next book so that I can figure out what is going on. I loved how Ms. Nelson led me into this story and kept me interested only to drop a bomb on me at the end of the book. This story was so well written, and the characters were so animated that I felt as if I were in the story watching everything unfold. I can’t wait for the next book in this duet.
I give this story a 5-star review and highly recommend it to readers who like suspense, ex-military, and men who think they are in control only to find that they have no clue what the heck is going on.
