Review of “Absinthe”, by Winter Renshaw

This is the first book I’ve read by Winter Renshaw, and I really enjoyed it. The characters are well developed and original. A principal and one of his students have a connection after they meet through a dating app. This is the only modern connection they have, their real connection is sex and great literature. Literature is what starts their relationship and it ends up being the catalyst to get them back together. The literary love of these characters drew me in. The fact that they were young and yet could connect based on great literature and not from the modern day materialistic views that are so normal was very original. I love that “Absinthe” and “Kerouac” were able to get their HEA as well.
I look forward to reading more of Winter’s books in the future. Winter’s character development is very detailed and the story was very well written.
