Brick is a man who has no commitments other than his job and his brotherhood. He was broken on his last mission before leaving the Navy SEALs and nothing can fix him. When he has been given a job where he has to pretend to be married to get the truth from an alleged murderer, he is convinced that he can keep his hands, and other body parts, to himself. He has no desire to be in a relationship and he knows that Londyn is strictly hands off because he has been warned to stay away by his Shadow brother Mercy. Little does he know that his promise before leaving for this job will be harder to keep than he thought.

Londyn has been hurt and let down again. Her future brother in-law does not want her at his house and her sister doesn’t show any signs of wanting her in the house either. She wants her close to home, but not in her home. When the opportunity comes up to work with Brick on the job to get information, she thinks it will give her something to do and will give her purpose. She made a promise to her sister that she would stay away from Brick in any romantic/sexual way because she has sworn off men. Little does she know that her promise will be much harder than she thought it would be as well.

These two are attracted to each other right away, but they fight it for a little bit. I loved these two. Brick is an easygoing guy who just wants to play when he’s not working, but Londyn is a challenge that he is not ready for. Londyn is a naturally inquisitive woman who is more than delighted to get answers from their neighbors to help Brick with his job. They both work to get under the others skin in the beginning and their back and forth is quite comical. I love the heat and passion that is sparking between them. I will never look at brownie batter the same ever again after reading this book either. This book had me laughing at these two, cringing at times, and crying at times, but through the entire story I hated to put the book down. I loved it and give it a 5-star review. I hate to see this series end, but I am so happy that I was able to read it. The men of In The Shadows Security are a great team and the women they each found are perfect for them and they are just as tough and dangerous as their men.

He’s focused on his job and his main focus is making sure things run smoothly. When his shipping lines get disturbed and his drugs don’t get to where they should on time, he will focus on the reason why and he will make sure that things get straightened out and begin to run smoothly again, and he has no problem with bringing innocent women into the situation to use as leverage to get his way.

She’s lived through tragedy and survived danger before, and she grew up to be a caring woman. Her world was crushed when she was a young girl, but she worked to not let that define who she has become. She works at the hospital as a receptionist, but she is full of surprises. She can focus when she needs to and get the job done when the situation calls for it.

These two are explosive together. They are from different worlds but are they. Sage’s father is a newly reassigned Police Chief and his decisions will affect her in a deadly way. She will find out who her father really is along with finding out who she really is through the situation she finds herself in. She may have a taste for dangerous, unpredictable, and deadly men, but that doesn’t mean that he is the person who puts in the most danger. I give this story a 5-star review. I loved it and hated that it ended. I have not read a lot of the Royal Bastard books, but I do want to read them. I just have to find the time to get them all in. The ones I have read have been very hot, deadly, and sexy. I recommend this book if you like men who live for the brotherhood, love to ride, are deadly, but also soft when it comes to the women who steal their hearts.

Review of Tease Me (Dark Odyssey Book 1) by Faith Summers

Mia Chase is a woman whose life has turned upside down and she has to return home to Chicago to care for her dad and her niece and clean up her brother’s mess. She went to Harvard on a scholarship for law and had the dream job of interning at one of the best law firms in LA. Now she is in need of a job that will pay a lot of money and desperate to keep her family safe.

These two together are like dynamite. They ignite at their first meeting and just keep burning the more into the story I got. They both come from different lives, but they have no idea that their lives are actually intertwined nor that they were made for each other. I loved this story, there was so much going on in the background, but it didn’t distract from Nick and Mia at all, it only added to their story. I enjoyed the twist that the story took as well and did not expect that at all. I give this story a 5-star review and look forward to Gabe’s story in the near future. If you are a lover of mafia, billionaire, suspense, dark and Alpha men who want to play, then this is a great read for you. The Giordano brother will not disappoint.

Review of Taunt Me (Dark Odyssey Series Book 2) by Faith Summer

Wow! Ms. Summer writes some very hot and sexy scenes in The Dark Odyssey books. I loved Tease Me, Nick’s story, and Taunt Me did not disappoint. Gabe’s story was just as hot, suspenseful, and dangerous as Tease Me.

Gabe lost his true love ten years ago. She was taken from him and he couldn’t do anything about it. In his world it was too dangerous for him to go after her since his entire family and any friends of the family were threatened if he went after Charlotte.

Charlotte is destined to live in hell. She was taken away from her family and has lived in hell for ten years. Finally, she is freed. However, is she really? The person who freed her is just as dangerous, if not more so than her husband was. She knows that she can’t tell anyone of what happened to her in Italy, or they will all be in danger.

I loved this story. The heat, suspense and Giordano men only left me wanting so much more. The danger that the family has to fight off to keep their women safe is always dark. The draw between Gabe and Charlotte is constant. Neither one wants to live without the other. They were made for each other and will both do whatever they can to save the other. If you like mafia, dark, sexy, suspense filled stories, you will love The Dark Odyssey series. One-click Taunt Me and be prepared for a steamy read. I give this book 5-steamy stars.

Wow! I don’t know where to begin with this one. While I loved the other two books in this series, I think Salvatore’s story is my favorite. It was deadly, raw, and surprising. The twist in this story was so deadly to the family and me as the reader. The betrayal of a loved one cuts deep.

Salvatore Giordano is the third child of the Giordano crime family and has loved Maria Cipriani for as long as he can remember. He is older than her and has not acted on those feelings until now. The only problem is that she has been hurt deeply and is very guarded. The man who hurt her is none other than Salvatore’s younger brother Gabe.

Maria “Mimi” Cipriani is the only daughter of Joey Cipriani, a man who works for the Giordano family and has for years. She works for the Giordano brothers at Dark Odyssey, their sex club. She is the Manager of the girls that work there. She put her dream on hold, but now she needs something new and different in her life, so she has decided to follow her dream, but she doesn’t want to leave Dark Odyssey either.

Danger, betrayal, and loyalty are all a part of mafia life, and Mimi knows that. The only problem is that now that she has accepted her feelings for Salvatore she can’t walk away. They will go through a lot to find their path and HEA. This story the danger, betrayal, loyalty, and twists and it ended too soon. I was crying, laughing, and wanting to scream at times during this story. It shows the loyalty of a family, but it also shows the true family, how they fight and can hate each other just as much as they love each other. They are not a fairy tale family; they are a mafia family and true family. If you like mafia, dark, suspenseful stories, you will love this story as well as the other books in the Dark Odyssey series. I give this story a 5-star review and I really hope there will be more in the series or at least with this family.

Julia is a talented woman who never takes for granted the opportunity given to her growing up by her parents and the sacrifices they made to let her achieve her dream. She’s talented and giving. She gives that talent back as well as makes it possible for other children to achieve their dreams even if their parents can’t afford to help them.

Antonio has a chance meeting with a beautiful woman who steals his heart and his mind. When she tells him that they can’t be together, he takes it hard, but he abides her wishes. That is until he finds out who she really is and that she is in danger. Now he’ll everything in his power to save her and make sure that no harm comes to her ever again. He’s ruthless, dangerous, and determined to take out those that want to hurt her further.

I am loving this series just as much as I did the Severinov Bratva Series. The Marcone’s are just as dark, deadly, and dedicated to their family as the Severinov’s are and they will get the woman that has their heart and they will protect them for life. This story is action packed, a bit disturbing, and so well written. I give this story a 5-star review and highly recommend Ms. Luciani’s Severinov Bratva series as well the Men of Mayhem series, I can promise if you like action, Alpha males, tough heroine’s, mafia, and dark stories, you won’t be disappointed in this series.

Once again A. Zavarelli does not disappoint. She knows how to write dark, twisted, depraved, and a beautiful love story.

Thorsen is the heir apparent of Norway, but he doesn’t want the job, nor does he care what his father wants. His father ridiculed him and treated him as if he didn’t matter for years, why should he want to do what his father wants? He is dark, tormented, twisted and has no use for doing his father’s bidding. If he could leave and renounce the crown, he would, but it would mean exile from his mother as well as his country.

Ella has not had the best life, nor has she had an easy life, but somehow she still has a heart and a kindness that hasn’t been destroyed yet. When an opportunity arises where she can meet the Prince and ask for his help, she takes it, only there is a mix-up and she ends up meeting the wrong Prince.

I loved this story. It is dark, twisted, sad, and beautiful. The lives of Thorsen and Ella are from a Fairytale, but their lives are anything but, that is until they meet each other and find the one that completes them and would anything for them. This story does have a fairytale ending even with the darkness and sadness that these two endure. If you like twisted tales, dark love stories, or A. Zavarelli, you will love this story. I give it a 5-star review. I couldn’t put it down once I picked it up.

The youngest son of the Chandler Enterprise family has more talents than what one would think when first meeting him. He’s an Assassin and can find criminals when they don’t want to be found. He digs deep and turns over every stone to find his targets and to protect. He’s an FBI Agent and a member of the Circle of Justice, and he’s very dangerous.

Kennedy has had tragedy in her life, but she now has the perfect life, until she doesn’t. She’s now a woman without a family and in hiding for her life. Just when she believes that she has her life a head of her, it takes another turn. Now she has to go into hiding again to save her life, but when she meets Reed Chandler, it doesn’t seem like such a bad thing.

I have enjoyed both of these series and this one does not disappoint. Reed is just as dangerous as his older brothers, but he also has a skill that the others do not possess, so it makes him more lethal. This story had suspense, twists, danger and great characters. I give this story a 5-star review and hope for more of these characters from both series. LP Dover knows how to write a suspense filled story that keeps you wanting more. If you like police procedure, suspense, murder mysteries, and over protective men then you need to pick up this book as well as the other stories in these two series, Armed & Dangerous and Circle of Justice.

“Bad Karma has never felt so worth it”.

This team may not always get along, but when it comes right down to it, they are a team and will always have each-others backs. They actually get along about as well as a family of brothers do.

An Army Black Hawk pilot, a woman, and survivor, Kristie Donovan is all of these and more. She’s is called in to train the Columbian military but finds herself in a dangerous rescue that could put her in danger.

Bad Karma is a team of Army special forces that get the tough jobs. While working one of these jobs, they need an extraction, but when things go sideways the whole team is in danger. The only saving grace is that it’s not easy to find them or who they are.

I loved this story. The plot, characters, and writing are great. I was drawn in from the first page and kept hostage until the end. Kristie and Mack have a lot of obstacles to overcome before they can move forward in their lives and find the brightness they both deserve. This was my first read of this series and of Tracy Brody’s stories, but I find that she will be a regular in my Kindle App. I really like her story and her writing. I need to find time to go back and read the first book in the Bad Karma series and watch for the next story in the series. I give this story a 5-star review and recommend it to readers who enjoy Military, suspense, or stories with heroines that know how to take care of themselves, but also know when to let the Hero take care of her and help her as well.
