Hank DeShear is a private detective that has endured tragedy in his past, now he has the responsibility of a 5-year girl, Constantine, that is very special and very sought after. He will do anything to keep her safe and protected, but when he is double-crossed by boat captain, his whole world could implode and he could lose everything, the woman he loves, the little girl he has vowed to protect, and even his freedom, or his life.

Jaden Trinn is a US Agent for a special group. She’s also the woman that Hank DeShear loves. She is just as determined to protect and keep Constantine safe as Hank is, but a leisurely boat and fishing trip will turn very dangerous and memorable for this group. Jaden will have to fight for her life on more than one occasion to get back to Hank and Constantine.

Keeper 27 is a mystery herself. She has special abilities that make her a target for some people to use. She is friends with Hank and Jaden and has a special place in her heart for Constantine. She is determined to find Constantine and make sure she is safe. She may have been under Dr. Hauser’s rule at one time, but now she has the chance to be free and live her life with those she cares about. She has made some connections with special people along the way and will call on them as needed to find Constantine and save her. Her travel companion Dr. Kittaleye is a young psychiatrist that will find a new path to follow, should she decide to take that chance.

The story starts off with a nurse caring for a mystery patient in a French Hospital. The first chapter starts with a mystery and builds up to the action and suspense throughout the story, keeping my interest all the way to the end of the book. Although I have not read the first three books in the series, I had no problem reading or following the plot of The Keepers and understanding the story. The fourth book in The Gamma Sequence is full of action, suspense, angst and great characters. I had no problem reading it as a stand-alone. I give this story a 5-star review and look forward to more of Mr. Alatorre’s books in the future. I would love to have more of this family of misfits and how things will work out for them. I love a story that starts off with the mystery and keeps me wanting more. I really enjoyed how the story started out and as it went along there was a bit of a different focus. It never distracted from the story and for me it was very interesting to move back and forth between the scenes and get the full picture of what was going on as well as each character’s perspective and what they were enduring on their path to Constantine and her safety.

MY REVIEW: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5

They have both had their heart broken by an MC, and Daisy doesn’t want Joker involved any more than he already is with the Serpent’s MC. She is fine with him being friends with the club and doing work on their bikes, but she doesn’t want him being a patched member. They’ve both lost too much because of MC’s and she can’t lose anymore.

Daisy is unaware of the danger she is in until it’s too late. She hasn’t done anything to warrant the attention she is receiving, and she is blind to the danger that lurks every day by one customer.

Joker can’t help that he misses the adrenaline rush and the danger that he feels when he is riding with the MC or when he is in the middle of the action with the club brothers. He is aware of what both he and Daisy have lost in the past in separate actions and by different clubs, but the Serpent’s are different than his old club and they are stand up guys.

When he is asked to patch in and not only be a member of the MC, but an officer, he can’t say no. Now he has to find a way to break the news to Daisy. Maybe the way he chose was not the best way, but now he is worried because Daisy isn’t answering her cell. Joker now has a family and brothers at his back to help him when he needs it most and he really needs them right now. I loved this story and Joker and Daisy have a great love story. They have some hurdles to still overcome, but their love is strong, and they can come out the other side and be stronger together. I give Joker and Daisy’s story a 5-star review and look forward to reading more of the Serpent MC books. The characters are great, the story is full of danger, action and angst.

A story of second chance romance with a lot of hurt to overcome.

Anna has just been making it by on her salary, but she has been saving a little to put aside for her dream home. She’s never had a lot in her life and when she was sent away at the age of 17 to live with her aunt and uncle, she didn’t think she’d ever return to her hometown, but circumstances and fate had other plans for her.

Robert has a great job, money, prestige, and no one to share it with. He thinks that money and prestige is all he needs to succeed in life and be happy, but after being in contact with the only woman he has ever loved and realizing that his life is not as happy or full as he wants, he has a way to go to get the love of his life. He needs to change the way he thinks, for one thing.

At first, I wanted to slap Robert and tell him to wake up and smarten up, but then his brothers were there to do that for him. The Cortell brothers have no problem calling each other out on their bull, nor do they have a problem getting into physical fights amongst each other when angry, but they have an unbreakable bond and a true family loyalty to each other. Robert is the rich brother, always wearing expensive suits and shoes, drives an expensive car, and lives in Chicago in a penthouse apartment. He doesn’t seem to remember where he came from or that his family has no problem telling him to check his attitude on some issues. Neither Anna nor Robert are the same people they were in high school, but can their changes work together, or can their lives work together so they can have a second chance at the love they once shared?

I love this series and the characters keep me laughing at their interactions and their shenanigans. These brothers are always ready to back each other up and they are fun to read. I love the parade scene! I love this story and cannot wait for more of the Cortell Brother Series to come. I give this story a 5-star review.

She left him three years ago and now she’s kneeling on the floor in front of him. They had a whirlwind romance and then got married. She wasn’t sure she could be what Point needed or wanted and still have her career too, so she left him and found her life somewhere else, now he’s in the same town and they ran into each other again. Deedra has regretted her snap decision for three years but she can’t tell Point that, nor can she let him back in. She also can’t fight the fact that she never stopped loving him.

Point pulled himself up and got sober after Deedra left him, now he’s part of a brotherhood and has a family, but the trouble is that he can’t get over Deedra. His MC brothers knew nothing of his past, nor do they know of Deedra. Now that she’s back in his sights he wants answers to why she really left him three years ago and won’t give up until he has them. Maybe they still have a fighting chance for their HEA.

Another great story in the Kings of Vengeance MC series. These books get better as the story goes on through the series. This book was no different. The women are funny, crazy, sassy and entertaining to say the least. The men never know what the women will do next and have to be on their toes all the time. The fact that the men of the MC drive Quinn, the President, crazy all the time is comical. During Church, these guys can get distracted easier than a toddler at times. These books are full action, humor, great characters and great story lines. I love reading them and hope they go on for a while. There’s a true feeling of the MC being a family and all of the craziness that goes along with families. They may argue, pick on each other, and get mad, but at the end of the day they will always fight for each other and die for each other. They are loyal, crazy, sexy, and funny. I give this story a 5-star review and look forward to more of the Kings of Vengeance to come.

Holly moved to Santa Claus, Indiana when she was a young girl. It’s a town that focuses on Christmas and is popular because of its name. It is a winter wonderland and Christmas is a way of life there. She’s going home for Christmas and is waiting for her stepbrother Knight to pick her up. Little does she know that this Christmas her wishes will come true.

Knight is Holly’s stepbrother and he’s a security specialist in Chicago. These two are step siblings, but they never really grew up together. The fact that their parents married, and they are step siblings never stopped either one of them from being attracted to each other and Knight is ready to share his feelings with Holly and Santa Claus, Indiana.

An entertaining and enjoyable quick read. The lust and attraction these two have for each other was fun to read. Holly may not have had the idea that Knight did but doesn’t mean she hasn’t had her own ideas and they are a bit more detailed than Knight’s in the book. Knight may be a security specialist, but his romantic side shows in Holly’s Knight when he is working to get the only woman he’s wanted for years. I enjoyed reading this story. I give the story a 4-star review and recommend this story to readers that enjoy taboo stories or holiday stories. The Christmas of Love Collaboration is a collaboration of 12 amazing authors with 11 stories of a romance filled holiday, in the town of Santa Claus, Indiana.

Two people that are looking for a family and someone to care about them find each other. They’ll have some hurdles to jump and some issues to work out, but they are actually meant for each other.

Ransom is a member of the Dead Ringer MC, but the trajectory that the club is headed is a danger to all of the brothers. The current president is off his rocker and dragging the MC down the drain with him. It’s time for the younger generation to take over, but with the old guard still alive and in charge, things are not looking good.

Annabella has had a life of pain and hiding. Her mother and she have been in hiding for years after being rescued and set up by Kid, a member of the Dead Ringers when he was younger. He’s like a brother to Annabella, but no one knows about her or her mother. Now that tragedy has hit Annabella, it’s time for her to pay Kid back for his help and rescue. Her only goal now is to rid the world of the men that betrayed her mother and her before she was even born. Annabella lived a sheltered life for a long time, but now she’s ready for freedom and living her life to the fullest.

This story is dark and twisted, but it’s a great read. I love the characters and the wonder of knowing who Annabella can trust or not had the pages turning for me. I love that each character brings a question of ‘will they betray her, help her, or hurt her?’. The story left a few questions though and I hope they are cleared up in Kid’s story. I read Driller and was at first confused when I started Ransom because I was thinking that Annabella was a danger to the MC but reading her story and getting to know her has changed my mind and I just want to see her thrive now and have a real life with someone that loves her and will protect her and provide for her. I loved the story and give it a 5-star review. I look forward to more of the Dead Ringers MC because I do have questions that need answering.
