I’ve loved these books by Ms. Lagomarsino so much and Wanted: Dead or in Love did not disappoint. These brothers are fun to read and the women they find are just as fun, but they are also just as strong and tough as well. Josh and Carly’s story is probably my favorite so far, and that is saying something because the first two books were awesome! This story was a bit different than the other two, but it was just as great.
Josh Cortell woke up and was having a normal day in his life. He went to the bakery for his morning coffee and pastry and had his day all mapped out. It was a normal day for him, until it wasn’t. His whole day and his whole life got turned upside down and sideways in the blink of an eye. He was so out of his comfort zone it was unbelievable.
Carlotta, Carla, Hannah, Carly hated the life she was born into and wanted something normal, so she went looking for it on her own, but it wasn’t that easy for her. She had to keep a low profile and be very careful about how she lived her life now. Otherwise, she would face dire circumstances.
This story was quite a bit different than the first two Cortell Brother stories, but it was so good. I loved Josh and Carly and their lives. The story has a lot of twists, turns, danger and betrayal, but Josh and Carly find a way to survive. I give this story a 5-star review and REALLY hope the next book is due out soon. The ending of this story killed me! If you like stories with loyal, funny, Alpha males and crazy, sassy, fun loving women, with a side of danger, you will love this story and all of the Cortell Brother books. Ms. Lagomarsino is one of my favorite one-click authors and she has not disappointed me yet with her books.
Maeve is the girl that comes from a family that lives in the poorer part of town, scrapes to make it by and a broken home. Her best friend, Dana O’Reagan comes from a very influential family and her older brother Jack has no issues with pointing that fact out to Maeve when they are young kids. Maeve has avoided Jack for years, but now she’s in a dangerous situation and the only person that can help her is Jack O’Reagan, the problem is that she’s afraid of him. Maeve just wants to live her life and have a normal life. She’s had some rough times in the past, but now she’s in college and seems to be the only one in her family with any desire to make something of herself. When she finds trouble on her doorstep, she has to turn to the one person that she knows can help, but at what cost?
Jack is the next in line for the crown of the family business. He needs to focus and make sure that he passes all of his tests if he wants to rule the Irish Mafia. He can’t afford to lose his focus or to worry about Maeve right now, but when she walks through his door all of the old feelings seem to come rushing back. Maeve was the bane of Jack’s existence when they were younger and he thought he was free of her, but now he finds that the old feelings are still alive and well. Jack needs to prove himself to his father as well as the rest of the family now or it could mean that all of his plans could go up in smoke.
I really enjoyed this book, it was full of action, danger, betrayal and a steamy connection between Jack and Maeve. I loved the characters and the story. Ms. Carter knows how to write a story that I can get lost in. This is a story of manipulation, betrayal, desires, secrets and status. I look forward to more of this series, hopefully soon. I give this story a 4.5-star review and recommend it to reader that like mafia stories with possessive, dangerous men.
RELEASE BLITZ Title: The Heir of Shadows Series: Underestimated #4 Author: Candice Wright Genre: Reverse Harem MC Romance Release Date: January 7, 2021
BLURB
There was a little girl, who had a little gun, pointed right at the center of her forehead. When she was good, she was very, very good Because if she was bad, she was dead.
Raised by a monster, rescued by a liar The life Ava escaped from is a memory she would like to forget But the past never stays buried for long and when a tragic event forces Ava back home The monster is waiting to finish what he started. With fragile bonds put to the test, Ava will need to find the strength to fight back, putting her faith in the club she was never a part of and a President who is more of a stranger to her than a brother. Blood might be thicker than water, but its blood that attracts sharks And if she doesn’t learn to stay two steps ahead of the deranged killer who hunts her, she’ll drown. In a world of bloody secrets and twisted legacies, only one truth remains: To prevail, one of them must die. But who will survive? The Fallen King, or his Tainted Heir?
Please be advised that this book may cause shallow breathing, exploding ovaries and spontaneous disintegration of panties. As a result, all readers should be over the age of 18 and refrain from reading in public places.
Trigger warning: This book contains swearing and deals with subjects such as sexual assault and violence that some readers might find upsetting. There are also sexy fun times with not one but three bikers but please remember, The Heir of Shadows is not for the faint-hearted.
Candice Wright is the international bestselling author of the Underestimated Series. Still relatively new in the business, Candice has just published her tenth full-length novel and has no plans for slowing down. Hailing from the sunny (sometimes) UK, Candice lives with her three slightly unhinged children and the long-suffering partner. When she isn’t busy raising the next generation of crazy, you can find her sitting at the computer writing words she hopes will resonate or snuggled up reading stories by the authors that cultivated her love of the written word.
A new series to read and devour. I had not heard of the Underestimated Novel series, nor had I read any of Candice Wright’s work until I read The Heir of Shadows and now, I am hook and drawn into this world. I love the characters in this book and the series. I started with The Heir of Shadows, but now have to carve out time to go back and read the first three books. It was not hard starting where I did, but I think it will bring things together better if I go back and read the first three.
This was a twisted, page-turner, danger ridden book that pulled in right away. I love the strength to Ava and her ability to find her way to the light after so much darkness surrounded her. She has a lot of struggles, but with the love and backing of the Kings of Carnage MC family show her that she is not alone, and she just has to reach out and grab onto their offering of help and surrounding her with love.
I love the characters and the women are some pretty determined, strong and bada** characters in this series. They give their men trouble, but there is nothing they won’t do for their women and they are all family, no matter what. If one is hurt, the whole club is hurting and working together to help out those that need it. I’ve found a new-to-me author to watch and keep track of now.
Title: Knives Series: Ruthless Kings MC #10 Author: K.L. Savage Genre: Dark Romantic Suspense/Organized Crime Release Date: January 8, 2021
BLURB
Love is powerful force, but it doesn’t compare to guilt. And just like most people, my guilt eats me alive. I went from being an irresponsible kid who didn’t know any better, to an irresponsible man who does. I make no apologies. Don’t take my carelessness for strength. My blood is as thick as the water that killed my brother and once I’m cut, there’s no stopping the river of rage. My past is dead. I’m not like my MC brothers. Nothing is going to come bite me in the ass. Or so I thought. Because life gave me Mary, the little hellraiser who tries to be reckless. She’s only looking to escape the nightmare of what happened to her in Atlantic City. She’s a good girl. She doesn’t belong in this life. Even if I know she belongs with me. She paints her lips in red lipstick, but I know it’s an effort to hide the pain. There’s more than the fact we are too different to be together. Death calls on the Ruthless Kings. And like idiots, we answered. Her past isn’t dead. And mine has come back to life.
Bad things don’t happen to good people. Bad people do. And it’s made me love and appreciate good people more. Maybe I’m different. Maybe I’m not crying every night or having nightmares. Maybe I’m not losing myself in drinks or drugs, but I have lost something about myself. I’m just trying to find it. “You give me a headaches twenty-three out of twenty-four hours a day, but I can’t sit here and lie to you and say you aren’t beautiful,” Knives says, honestly, meeting my eye and keeping his hands to himself. The flames dance in his cornflower blue eyes and they are so damn bright. I’ve never seen irises like his before. They are unique, just like him. “And the other hour?” I tease when I sit down on the hay, which scratches my ass and is very uncomfortable. “I’m sleeping. It’s the only damn peace I get.” “Shut up,” I giggle, nudging his side with my arm. I lean forward and lay my elbows against my knees, watching the fire as it pops. The rain is slamming against the barn and the door shakes when the wind carries around us. “It’s not letting up, is it?” “No, it isn’t. I can’t believe it turned so ugly so fast.” “The way of the world is bittersweet, ain’t it?” he asks, the stands and when I go to ask him where he is going, my eyes land on his package. His very big, very long, very in my face, package. He has a tattoo above the waistband of his underwear, right above where I assume his pubic hair is and it says 666. What’s that mean? If a woman hops on top, does that mean she gets possessed by the devil? Why does a part of me want to find out?
K.L. Savage decided they were tired of looking for the kind of books they wanted to read. They had an itch that needed to be scratched, and as every girl knows, nothing scratches better than an alpha.
They write about gritty, alpha males, sometimes their dark sides, and the women they love.
If you have the same itch, their alpha males should fix that.
I hadn’t really paid much attention to Knives in the past as he wasn’t as strong of a character in my eyes in past books, but what a mistake that was. He is such a strong, powerful character that I am sorry I didn’t pay much attention to him previously.
Thomas “Knives” keeps his heart walled up and away from anyone that might get too close and cause him pain. The only people that he gets close to are his brothers, the Ruthless Kings. He’s not sure why Mary St. James makes him so crazy or why the thought of her putting herself in danger makes him rage at her.
Mary St. James has lived a life of hell and when she was rescued by the Ruthless Kings MC she thought maybe her life would be better, but her irrational desire for danger and her lack of direction are making her wonder if where she goes now with her life. Her continued arguing with Knives makes her crazy, but that kiss at Christmas won’t stop playing over and over in her mind.
I love the Ruthless Kings, they are so much like a real family, always driving Reaper crazy with their continued picking and poking at each other as well as continually driving each other crazy the same as siblings do. They are loyal to the core though and would kill or step in front of a bullet for each other, there is no doubt. I love the craziness of their lives, but I do feel so bad that they cannot seem to get a break from the danger in their lives. It seems that they no more than curb one danger and then another one pops up to create havoc for them again. This story is no different. The danger in this story is not only from people, but nature for Mary and Knives. However, the danger from the human side is the deadliest for them. When Seer calls from NOLA, the whole MC gets nervous because they know that he never calls with good news. I love these stories and I so look forward to more. The Ruthless Kings not only bring out the laughs while I’m reading their stories, but they also bring out the tears because they have gone through so much to get to where they are and trying to find a peaceful, happy life seems to take so much work for them. I give this story a 5-star review and so look forward to more of the Ruthless Kings and Tongue’s swamp kitty.
Wow! This story may have been the ending of the Brutal Birthright Series and it is such a strong ending but with an opening for the next series done so well. I cannot wait for the Kingmakers series to come out.
Sebastian Gallo may be the youngest and thought to be the least to be dangerous or brutal, but he proved his right to be a Gallo in this story. I loved Dante and Nero, but Sebastian is a brutal, sexy, powerful man in his own right.
Yelena Yenin is just a pawn in her father’s world of power, corruption, death and revenge. She has her own hopes and dreams but has to play her father’s games if she wants to survive.
This story is brutal, bloody and powerful. It is action packed from the very beginning all the way to the end. The families are trying to find a peaceful life, but it seems that nothing works their way and when Sebastian meets Yelena, and their worlds start to collide and then crash everything is in danger of crashing to the ground and leaving havoc, death and destruction in its wake. The three powerful families will fight again, and even with the allies that the Gallo’s have by their side, they could lose a lot in this battle. This story also brought a closer ally to the Gallo’s and their strength will come through in the end. I hate to see Brutal Birthright end, it’s been a roller coaster of emotions to read, but the Kingmakers looks to be another great series by Ms. Lark. I love her story telling and her characters no matter what series I am reading, and I cannot wait to read the next one. I give this story a 5-star review and will wait semi patiently for her next book.

BLURB
She’s a Secret Treasure of War… It’s a routine mission in Belize. Get in, get out, save the women. Then I see Naomi’s photo and watch her hostage video. A stirring…an ache…a desire so deep for her heats up my blood and annihilates me. Then I meet her. It accelerates my thirst, riling up my inner beast. She’s an investigative reporter and knows things she shouldn’t. But all the women have secrets…knowledge about a global force so powerful the world will implode with greed. Freedom will no longer exist. Instead of delivering her, we run. The heat of the jungle is a blow torch demolishing my restraint, until I have to make her mine. But enemies lurk everywhere. After it’s over, I’ll have to piece her back together again.
(Depths of Destruction is the first jaw dropping installment in the Behind Closed Doors series. Each novel is a stand-alone regarding the HEA of the couple, but the plot develops with each story. This steamy series is for mature readers only and is best if read in order. This series may contain situations that may be sensitive for some readers.)
Maggie Cole is committed to bringing her readers alphalicious book boyfriends. She’s been called the “literary master of steamy romance.” Her books are full of raw emotion, suspense, and will always keep you wanting more. She is a masterful storyteller of contemporary romance and loves writing about broken people who rise above the ashes. She lives in Florida near the Gulf of Mexico with her husband, son, and dog. She loves sunshine, wine, and hanging out with friends. Her current series were written in the order below: All In (Stand alones with entwined characters) It’s Complicated (Stand alones with entwined characters) Together We Stand (Brooks Family Saga – read in order) Coming January 5, 2021: Behind Closed Doors (Read in order) Coming April 1, 2021: Mafia Wars
She believes is the truth and is determined to share that truth in her reporting for the people of Belize. Her digging into politicians and drug lords could get her killed or at the least kidnapped. There are a lot of people who want to know what Naomi Salazar has discovered and they are planning to use it and her for their own gains. Her life as well as her sister is in danger and she has to figure out what the true danger is before her life becomes a chess piece.
He’s the lead of a special team for Interpol. Agent Andre Lopez served in the Marine’s with most of this team before leaving. He has never questioned orders before. None of his team has ever questioned orders before this mission. “It’s not their job to question their orders, questions get people killed.” So, they will treat this mission the same as any other mission, that is until they find their target and rescue not only her, but four other prominent women besides her sister.
This is a story of corrupt politics, powerful players, and the pawns in their power plays. The rescue team is a group of loyal men that are used to following orders but will veer off course for the women they have rescued and what ensues after their rescue is an action packed, suspenseful and very dangerous trek to find the truth and safety for all of the women involved. It will lead to five men betraying their superiors but still staying loyal to each other and determined to find a peaceful outcome. I love the way the story is written with the characters each having their own story. In. Depths of Destruction we have Naomi and Agent Andre Lopez’s story and their fight to find safety and the real reason for danger surrounding not only them but the others as well. I love the characters and their strength and determination for the truth before they decide to just give into orders. I give this story a 5-star review and look forward to more stories for the rest of the team in the near future. I love the way that Ms. Cole left the questions of each couple to their own stories and made me crave the next novel. I look forward to reading them and getting lost in the world of corruption, suspense, action and danger to come. I also loved the extended epilogue because it was a great addition to the story, but again, it did not give away a lot of the story for the other characters or their stories to come.
Any minute I’m going to wake up from this nightmare. Being tied up and thrown in the trunk of a car doesn’t happen in real life. Except the silk tie around my wrists feels very real. And my father, Johnny Conti, the head of the Outfit, is telling me to be a good girl—that I’m to be the wife of the man who tied me up and has me over his wide shoulder. Some women might swoon over gorgeous Dominic Sabatini with his blue eyes, dimples, and muscled body in a silk suit. Not me. Those are just distractions from who, what he really is: a ruthless killer with blood on his hands and ice in his veins. There is no way Dominic could actually want to marry me. A virgin, curvy, buried in an all-girls Catholic boarding school for most of my life and seventeen years younger than him. He’s marrying so far beneath him it’s absurd. No to all of it. Tomorrow I’m going to marry the man of my dreams, a nice, kind accountant. I’m going to have the safe, boring life I’ve always longed for. I have to escape this nightmare. But Dominic growls I belong to him and he keeps what is his.
This a mafia romance with dark elements. While this is the first book in a series it is a standalone and does not end in a cliffhanger.
EXCERPT It hits me. I’m not getting out of this. I won’t be able to get away from Dominic Sabatini. Not today, a month, or even a year from now. If somehow, some way I got away, he’d find me. I have no idea why instead of scaring me, the realization thrills me. No, no. Fear shakes me out of my reverie. I can’t just give up. There has to be a way. There is always a way, isn’t there? I startle at the knock on the bathroom door. “Regina, get moving. I’m starving. I want to grab something to eat then get back on the road.” Looking down at the dress, anger at Dominic and myself fuels me. Today was supposed to be my wedding day, this is my wedding dress. I refuse to make this easy, for either of us. Hands shaking, I put on the pretty white lace bra and plain cotton white briefs. Forcing my fear down, I slip into the white dress. When I open the door, Dominic is standing by the door leading out of the room, carrying his leather duffle. His eyes go cold. “Change.” “No.” I’m defiant, refusing to back down from the dark energy vibrating around him. He drops the duffle and crosses the room in all of three steps. A hand goes around my throat and my stupid body betrays me, going instantly limp against him. “Take it off or I will.” I shake my head as much as I can. I blink and holy fucking crap, his other hand finds the neckline and tears it from my body. We’re both breathing hard and fast. The hand around my neck lets me go and fucking shit, I stumble into him. His hands wrap around my arms as he catches me close, his mouth at my ear. Hot air is sliding down the skin of my neck and I can’t fucking breathe. “You are mine. You belong to me. I can make you tremble in ecstasy or fear. The decision is yours.”
AUTHOR BIO Due to commitment issues I have lived in many different cities and my favorite is Chicago but I have managed to settle into Austin and perhaps my commitment issues are behind me. I have enjoyed reading from a very young age and it wasn’t long before the children books bored me and I read the books my mother enjoyed Stephen King and Dean Koontz and I didn’t sleep without the light on until I was about ten. I came across my first Harlequin by accident and it was love at first read, no one died and happy endings? It was a whole new world and I loved it. I wrote my first story at eight and everyone died, of course. Since then I would like to think I’ve gotten better and now I’m writing the happily ever afters I first fell in love with, with some hot sex thrown in along the way. As a plus size woman myself, I have started writing the stories I always wanted to see myself in but never did. And now I’m ecstatic to give BBWs the happily ever afters with hot Alphas I want to read.
Wow, these guys get better as the stories go on and the more powerful, they are the harder they fall. I loved Dominic’s story and his fall.
Dominic Sabatini is a Capo in The Outfit. Son of Anthony Sabatini and cousin to Cesar, Dante, and Vincenzo Sabatini. He runs a club and has women when he wants them. He fought to keep his father’s territory and Dom’s right to what would eventually be his when he was fifteen and on his own, while his father did time. He went to Johnny Conti, now the Don of The Outfit for help to maintain what was his. He is now a powerful Capo and very rich man. He lives his life on his own terms and doesn’t want to marry or have children. He is fine with spoiling his cousin’s children.
Regina Conti has never felt as if she was wanted or loved. After her mother died her father sent her to Italy to boarding school, at the age of six and she has remained there until her father, Johnny called her pleading to come home to New York and get to know him since he is sick and dying. It’s not what she wants to do, but she has no choice the matter and when she thinks he is better she’s ready to head back to Italy until she meets Richard Taylor. She believes he is the love of her life and sneaks around to meet him. The only problem is that she doesn’t really know him.
I loved this story and the immediate connection between Regina and Dominic was great. I loved that Regina, a young, innocent girl could make Dominic forget who he was. Their story is painful and angsty, but they finally find their way through it all and find their HEA. I loved how Dominic was instantly ready to give Regina anything she wanted, with one caveat, and then he relented on that as well later on. I love the Sabatini men and Dominic did not disappoint. I cannot wait for the next book in this series and hope for more as well. I love dangerous, powerful, dominant men the Sabatini’s are and the fact that they become putty in their women’s hands when they finally quit fighting their hearts. This story has a few twists that were interesting, and I am hoping for more on that as the series goes on as well. I give this story a 4.5-star review and recommend it to readers that enjoy Mafia Romance, dominant men that know how to treat a lady, as well as keep them in line.
His life could be better, he can forge a new path, that is until his past finds him and could destroy everything. After six years his life is finally going the way he wants it to. He has found a family that accepts him for who he is and backs him. Now he has a connection with a woman that they rescued, and it can all be ripped away and destroyed when his past comes wandering back in and causes trouble for him.
She hasn’t had an easy life. It seems that she’s always had a rough time of it, that is until she was rescued by the King’s Descendants and found a connection with Bohdi. He makes her feel whole not broken and he listens to her. Now her world has been turned on its axes and she feels that only way to correct it is to move on and find her way alone. So, she’ll do just that. Until everyone seems to think that her idea of where to move is a great idea and they all seem to follow, even if it is only for a weekend.
I really enjoyed Bohdi and Merleigh’s story. It was angsty, raw, tragic and rough, but the guys from the King’s Descendants always fight for their family and those they care about. The fact that Merleigh wanted to find her own way but the King’s stayed with her through the entire way was a true testament of their dedication and care for those they consider family and protect them no matter where they may go with their lives. Their care dedication not only showed through with Merleigh, but also with Simon and Cova as well. They may be a 1% outlaw MC, but they all have hearts that are so big and deep. I love the King’s Descendants and Bella Jewel’s stories. I give this story a 5-star review and look forward to more gritty, dark, deep stories to come.
Wow! I love Tulley. I thought I loved Lachlan and Tiernan’s stories, but Tulley blew my mind. He’s sexy, protective and a powerful member of The Clan. His distraction from McKenna could cost him his whole family if he doesn’t get control of it.
McKenna Sweeney is a sweet, quiet, shy teacher at St. Albert’s, the school that trains the boys that will join the Clan when the time is right. No one knows the dark, sexy side of McKenna though besides and Tulley and he wants to keep it that way.
They’ve had their ups and downs and this story will highlight some tough times for Tulley and McKenna as well as McKenna’s struggles to find her path in life, but Tulley or the Clan will not give up on her and they will help her find her way. When the Clan is attacked, McKenna finds a strength from within that she didn’t know existed. She struggles with the fight between her mind, her heart and past to overcome the issues she has to make a life with Tulley and move on in life. They both have fiery tempers, and they clash constantly, but that’s also what draws them to each other. There will be some dark times, but the sassiness of McKenna keeps Tulley on his toes and fighting for her the whole time. I loved this story and I love Tulley. The Clan will discover the true respect that the towns people of Ballyhock have for them in this story and tragedy will strike this loving, powerful family, but they will survive and find their strength within the family and town they reside. I give this story a 5-star review and wish that there was more of the McCarthy Clan. I have loved all of their books and hate to see the series end, but it was a great ride all along the way. If you like Mafia romance with dominating men, strong, sassy women, then you will love the McCarthy Clan books by Jane Henry.
This was my first book by Fiona Murphy, but I’m pretty sure it won’t by my last. A story of intense heat between Cesare Sabatini and Alicia Jeffries. Two people from different lives, but the same.
Cesare Sabatini (pronounced Chezeray), is now a real estate tycoon, but he came from a struggling family. He is the old of three boys that were on their own from a young teenage life. He raised his brothers and they made billions in real estate and own most of Chicago now. After the tragedy of his parent’s deaths he has sworn off marriage and commitment. The first time he saw Alicia there was heat from first sight.
Alicia Jeffries came from a tough childhood too. She is not a petite woman and she has settled into being alone for life. She works as a secretary and takes on making quilts to sell to help support her and her sister. She gets the opportunity for a job that will help her with her support she gives her sister Bethany for college. She’s offered a position as a personal assistant to Dante Sabatini, Cesare’s younger brother. She’s a little warry of taking the position, but she figures it will help her financially.
Cesare and Alicia fight their attraction for a while, but after Alicia makes a decision that could get her into a lot of trouble to help out her sister, Bethany, Cesare decides that it is an opportunity for him to make her his. Alicia is regretful that she made the decision, but she is happy it finally made Cesare take the chance she has been wanting since the first time she saw him.
I loved this story and hated to put it down to go to bed or do anything. It is an intensely hot story between these two. Alicia brings out the soft side of Cesare and he finds happiness in life again. I am already excited for the next book. I give this book a 4.5-star review and highly recommend it to readers who like stories about Alpha men who are brought to their knees by one woman.
Review of His Dirty Promises
Dominic Sabatini is the youngest Sabatini and works with his brother Cesare in the real estate business. He loves his brothers and his sister in-law, Alicia as well as his nephew Matteo. He is going through a loner period and when Alicia’s sister Bethany graduates from her Physicians Assistant grad program, he declines going to her graduation party because of his grumpiness and his thoughts that she is a brat and not worth his time.
Bethany is happy to be done her grueling graduate program and has decided to take a bit of time before she takes the licensing exam to become a Physician’s Assistant and find a job. She is excited to see her nephew but as her brother in-law, Cesar has predicted, she can’t stay very long in the house with the energetic toddler and opts to move into Cesar and Alicia’s abandoned condo, right next door to Dominic’s condo. Sparks fly when these two first lay eyes on each other and Dominic fights his wants and needs to protect Bethany and the family in the event that anything goes wrong between the two. The only problem is that Bethany is determined, and her mind is made up that she wants Dominic. He has no chance when she begins to put her wiles to work on him. These two have a lot to fight and overcome to be together and they will have tragedy to overcome as well for their lives to be smooth and their HEA to find them. This story has tragedy, a determined young woman that knows what she wants and will fight for it, until she hits a pothole and has to redirect herself. She’ll come out stronger on the other side though. I really enjoyed this story and give it a 4.5-star review.
Review of His Dirty Bargain
Vincenzo “Enzo” Sabatini decided to go a different path than his brothers. This was due to the years of resentment that Enzo had towards his brother Cesar after their parent’s tragic deaths. He helped with the initial investment into the real estate business and put some time into it until he left for the Army and became a Ranger. When he returned home, he decided that he needed to follow his own path and opened and hedge fund business. Now, like his brothers, he’s worth billions of dollars and it’s still growing.
Enzo wants what his brothers have, but he vowed years ago that he would never marry for love. He wants the family, and he is determined to find a woman that can give him that. However, the woman he chose is not the right fit and he will discover that shortly after they marry. He doesn’t want to put up with Cesar telling him he told him so, so he pushes his brothers and family away. His luck will take a turn though when he decides to sell the condo he purchased with his ex-wife and the spit fire of an agent that he works with, that actually works for his brother’s, will turn Enzo’s life upside down and change his world.
These two are like oil and water for a long time. They’ve both been hurt and have a lot of baggage to clear up before they can find their HEA. It will take a lot of pain and fighting for these two to get there, but eventually their brains will clear and they will discover their path. It will take a lot of work, but they really are meant for each other. They just have to get past the previous hurt and betrayal that they carry with them.
I loved each of these books and bought the bundle because I had read His Dirty Demands last year and wanted Dominic and Enzo’s stories. Now I find that there will be two more to read and I cannot wait for them to come out. These characters are deep, hurt, healed, and fun to read. I love that the women look at their men and state “Am I ever going to get the chance to be right?” I give this book a 4.5-star review. I finished this book at 5:00 am, because I could not put it down.
I read lots of books, from mythology retellings to literary fiction and I love to reread books from childhood, this is a place to voice my thoughts for fun. I also like to ramble about things such as art or nature every now and again.
