AUTHOR BIO

A.K. Evans is a contemporary romance author of over twenty published novels. While she enjoys writing a good romantic suspense novel, Andrea’s favorite books to write have been her extreme sports romances. That might have something to do with the fact that she, along with her husband and two sons, can’t get enough of extreme sports.

Before becoming a writer, Andrea did a brief stint in the insurance and financial services industry and managed her husband’s performance automotive business. That love of extreme sports? She used to drive race cars!

When Andrea isn’t writing, she can be found homeschooling her two sons, doing yoga, snowboarding, reading, or traveling with her family. She and her husband are currently taking road trips throughout the country to visit all 50 states with their boys.

MY REVIEW: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5

Cash is the lead singer of My Violent Heart, the industrial rock band. When he first lays eyes on Demi, he’s intrigued by the fact that she is not falling all over herself to speak to him or get his attention, in fact, she won’t even seem to give him the time of day. He finds her intriguing, but also beautiful and he can’t seem to get her out of his mind. The few days the band is in NH he tries everything he can think of to get her attention and her phone number, but it’s a no go. She’s just not interested, or is she?

Demi has seen the pain and turmoil of a broken marriage and relationship from an early age. Her job as an adult has shown her more of it since she’s grown up and she is not going to give her heart to anyone, especially a rock star that has been in the news with many women and can have any woman he wants at any time. She may think that Cash is sexy, but she’s also convinced that he would not be faithful, and she would never put herself in that situation.

I’m not a huge fan of Rock Star Romances, but I am a fan of A.K. Evans and her writing, so I thought I’d read her new series Rock Stars & Romance. I was not disappointed at all. The characters were great, down to earth, kind, and determined. They are rock stars and live the rock star life, but they also have morals and there may be a secret within the band. I loved Cash and Demi’s story. Cash was determined and caring with Demi. While it took her a while to get on board with Cash, their road was not easy, but it was worth the trip. I love the characters in this new series, and I am looking forward to the rest of the stories. I really want to read Beck’s story, I can’t wait to see where the band members go and the relationships they find. I give this story a 5-star review.

It’s NOW LIVE! Review of Afflicted with Desire

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5

He was fine with his life the way it was now. He left NOLA to escape the pain and trouble he found himself in ten years ago. Even though he left part of his heart behind, he knew that his little girl was better off without him. When his president wants him back as the Sergeant At Arms for the NOLA Chapter of the RBMC, Scorn has no choice but to return. However, when he finds out why Jameson wanted him to return, he’s not happy.

She wanted to start her own school for autistic and special needs children when she ran into the red tape and fear of public-school policies. Kristin had the space, part of her father’s property in town and just needed to convert it to a school. What didn’t expect was to have her father make a deal with the RBMC to protect her because they had a deal in place.

I loved this story, but it was an emotional roller coaster of a ride. Scorn not only suffered loss ten years ago when took off, but now he will face it again. He’s not ready for the loss or the gain that he will find when he returns to NOLA. This story is emotional, action packed, and full of great characters. Scorn knows that he shouldn’t go against his president, but he can’t help himself. Kristin is not used to the bad boy’s but the pull she has with Scorn is beyond her control. These two may not normally fit together, but they were made for each other. I love the RBMC books, all of the authors have done a great job with their stories and I look forward to continuing reading all of the chapters stories. I give this book a 5-star review.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Review of Dash of Regret: Lone Star Rangers, Book 3 by K. L. Ramsey @KLRamsey5

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5

She and her best friend Tessie were inseparable, so when Tessie found herself pregnant and the father nowhere to be found, Cricket moved in with her and helped her raise Daisy. Cricket was prepared to share the responsibilities with Tessie for as long as she needed her to. However, an unfortunate tragedy strikes, and Cricket finds herself in a new situation and she’s ready to fight for what she believes is right.

He wanted out of the service, he’s spent enough time protecting and serving his country and he’s seen enough, but when his discharge papers don’t come through in time, he has to report for going back overseas. Dash is not happy about these new orders and decides to drown his sorrows at the local bar, where he meets a woman and agrees to go out to his truck with her. He has never felt good about how he treated the woman from the bar, but unfortunately, he can’t remember her name or how to reach her to make amends.

I liked this third story of Lone Star Rangers Series. These two will forced to work together to get what they both want and then a whole new side comes to light for both. The love and care that Dash shows Daisy is sweet and the way that he approaches her and introduces himself to her was great. He isn’t pushy and he shows care for her feelings, which I really liked. The fact that she is smitten with him is great. She’s a sassy little thing and I loved that. I love the characters in the Lone Star Rangers Series, and I hope there will be more to come. I give this story a 5-star review.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Review of Eagle Eye: Mountain Men Mercenaries, Book 1 by K. L. Ramsey @KLRamsey5

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5

He’s a man that is used to going into the deepest and darkest recesses of life to rescue people or take down the bad guys, but when he has to rescue his best friend’s younger sister, a woman that he’s had a past with, his life will be changed. The pain and torture she went through will stay with him forever. Dean is prepared to stay by her side and help her through this, but she’s got other ideas.

She had one special night with the man that she’s loved for long time, but she wasn’t a woman to sit around and wait for him to return from a job and worry about whether he would return or not, so she left him a note and moved on with her life. However, the new job she took was not what she had expected it to be, and she found herself in a bad place and needed to be rescued. Of course, the one man that has always loved would be the man to find her and rescue her. Too bad that she feels that she can’t stay with him because she doesn’t want to bring danger to his doorstep, and she needs to be alone to heal before she can settle down.

This is a great start to a new series. Dean Quinn is a man that has had his fill of red tape and rescues of people that have been tortured and broken down. When he finally decides to move on from Jules, he gets an unexpected visit from a surprise guest and everything that he has been fighting to put behind him resurfaces. The man he hunted for almost five years resurfaces and is finally getting what he deserves, but he’s powerful and rich, so he can pretty much gain his freedom when he wants, which will put too many people in danger. Dean and two of his military buddies are ready to start their own company to rescue those that the government deems not worthy of their time and help out those that cannot afford to hire a company to help them out. The Mountain Men Mercenaries are born and I can’t wait for more stories with these guys. As usual with K.L. Ramsey, I love the characters and the storyline of this book. The characters always leave me wanting more of their story. I give this story a 5-star review.

Review of Deadly Desire: The Deadly Series, Book 3 by Erin Trejo @trejo_erin

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5

Tino is finally beginning to find his footing within the family and Enzo is giving him more responsibility. He’s now running the strip club, and Enzo is letting him run it the way he wants. Tino is fair but makes no qualms about being tough either. His new dancer seems to be the center of turmoil with the other dancers and Tino wants to talk with her to find out what is going on, but after he talks to her, he finds that he can’t seem to get her off his mind. There is just something about her that draws his attention.

She keeps to herself and doesn’t want to make any waves in her new life. She came to work for the Ricci’s because she knew that they protected their own and if she danced for them at the club she would be under their protection. Victoria’s on the run with her sister and fears being found because it could mean death for her, but pain and suffering for her sister. It doesn’t matter that she’s drawn to Tino Ricci, she has to keep her distance so he doesn’t find out her secret, but as she will soon find out, Tino Ricci and his brother Enzo are determined men.

This was a great story in the The Deadly Series and I love the characters. The Ricci family is close and protective, not only with their blood family, but with those that they consider family as well. Tino and Victoria are attracted to each other and no matter how hard they fight it; they can’t deny destiny. The story is rife with danger, action, strong, independent women and Alpha, overprotective men. I loved every bit of it, the characters, plot, and page turning action. I give this book a 5-star review and hope there are more to come of this family.

Review of Blacktop Freedom: Kings of Vengeance MC, Book 7 by Winter Travers @EJBookPromos

Jax Adler

Kaye Crew

Two paths that crossed years ago, and then their lives imploded.

Now on the opposite sides of the law, but both want the same thing: The Devil’s Rebels destroyed.

Can Kaye and Jax wade through their past to focus on the present, or will they destroy each other in the end?

The Kings want vengeance, but now so does the law.

MY REVIEW: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5

He kept his mouth shut for family, and paid the price by going to prison, but the woman he loves doesn’t know that. He spent five years paying for the decision he made because he isn’t a snitch, and he lost the one person that made his life brighter in the process. Now he’s out and looking to stay that way, but Jax “Brick” can’t seem to move on from the past and knowing that the police and Kaye are watching his every move waiting for him to mess up again makes it even harder to move on from her.

She was devastated to find out that the man she loved and had spent a year with was not who she thought he was. She was just doing her job that night though. Now that he is out, she is keeping a close eye on him and his friends in the Kings of Vengeance MC. Kaye is determined to find out who is selling drugs in Whitmore, and she has a feeling that the Kings of Vengeance can lead her to them. However, she did not plan on Jax “Brick” rocking her world again after five years apart.

Brick and Kaye are working toward the same goal, but they will both need to talk and clear the air if they want to work together to clean up their town. The Kings of Vengeance are working to clear their town of drugs and the MC that is causing all the trouble, but when they find out that they are being watched closely they have to change their plans completely and then things take another turn. There are a couple of twists and turns in the story that I was not prepared for, but it just made the story that much better. I love the Kings of Vengeance brothers and their women certainly keep them on their toes. Crazy is not even the right word for those women. I was a little disappointed that there was no “book club” meetings in this book, I think adding Kaye to their “book club” can be interesting. I love the characters and the story, and I look forward to Ride or Die next. I give this book a 5-star review, and I hope the next book is out soon. I really need to find out what is going on.

Review of Badge: Ruthless Kings MC Las Vegas Chapter, Book 16 by K L Savage @klsavage_author

Everyone has dreams when they are young.
And mine came to an abrupt halt.

I changed as a man, as a person, my soul was damaged beyond repair.
So I turned into someone everyone would hate.
Because I hate everyone and everything.
I’m furious at the world.
I don’t see that changing anytime soon.
But then it does change.
And if there is one thing I am not good at, it’s adapting.

Hope, Bullseye’s daughter, jump starts my soul again.
hate it.
I love it.
need her.
But I can’t have her.
She’s my friend’s daughter, for one.
For two, she’s way too damn young for the likes of me.
Three? She’s got a kid.
And everyone knows how I feel about kids.

Vermin. Loud. Annoying.
Wonderful. Beautiful. Precious.
The voice inside my head is stupid.
It wants and wants but I won’t allow myself to have it.
I don’t deserve to have it.
There’s no hope for me.
Even if hope is staring me in the face.
I have to focus on me. My business. I’m on a case.
Women are dying.
And it’s all because of me.
I have to protect what I care about for once in my life.
I failed once and I refuse to do it again.

How can I love her, when hate is all I’ve ever known?

MY REVIEW: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5

An emotionally charged, tragic, beautiful, awesome story!

I love the Ruthless Kings MC books, all of them, but Badge has a special place in my heart now. He has always been the grumpy, kept to himself, angry brother, but after reading his story, most of his has been an act to keep the truth well hidden. He’s a deep feeling, caring, wonderful man that has seen tragedy, pain, and loss so deep that he has buried his heart and put barbed wire around it for good measure.

Hope’s life was not normal. She unfortunately, had to follow in her father and mother’s footsteps growing up. Her father, Bullseye, thought he lost her the same day he lost her mother, but Patricia lied to him and kept Hope and raised her on her own, only to give her the same life that her parents had to endure. Now she’s found a family and happiness and is ready to find her HEA, and Badge is the man that she wants that with, even if he is so much older than her. She just has to find the true man behind the pain and grumpiness.

This story is tragic, beautiful, entertaining, and has a twist that I did not see coming. Badge is angry that he had to give up his career, but he’s found a way to put those skills to work. However, there are a few downfalls to his plan, first he is keeping it a secret from Reaper, which is never a good idea. Also, it is bringing his past back to the surface and making him hurt all over again. It’s also making him surly and short with those that he cares about. Besides dealing with this, he is also trying to fight his attraction to Hope and the feelings that she brings out in him. I love this book and Badge and Hope’s road to their HEA, but it was an emotional ride to the end. I loved that Badge’s heart is unthawed and he can find a way to bring peace to Haley. Let’s not ignore the inclusion of Mateo Moretti in this story as well. He owes so much to the Ruthless Kings, but it seems that he is always issuing threats to them. I love the characters, the stories, the writing of these books and I am always ready for more. I give this story a 5-star review.

Review of Corrupted Crown: Reckless Reign Trilogy, Book 1 by Kristen Luciani @kristen_luciani

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5

He just wanted to have a few days away from the family and the problems of being the fixer of the family, but his plans are blown up when he finds out that his best friend’s little sister will also be at the grand opening that he is attending. Of course, why wouldn’t she be, her family is opening a new hotel on a secluded island.

It wouldn’t be so bad if he weren’t intent on staying away from her. He’s walked away from her more than once and the last time he stayed away for almost two years, but the draw between them is electric and even though she hates him, Patrick Mulligan can’t deny that his feelings are deep for Kyla, and he will do anything to protect her. Which brings on more trouble for these two.

Kyla Costigan has worked hard to get where she is and has placed herself to take over for her father when he steps down, but there are threats to the family that have her being treated as though she can’t take care of herself and that have her father and her brother being overprotective and making her angry. She’s independent, smart, and driven.

This was a great story with great characters. I’ve loved Patrick since I first met him in his sister’s story, Savage Ruler. Patrick is the fixer of the family and the man that everyone seems to turn to for help when things turn sideways. His position in the family is changing and he is not ready for it, add in the fact that the woman he loves hates him, again, and his life is torture at this time. Patrick and Kyla have an explosive relationship, while most people see Patrick the model and the guy that gives so much to the YMCA, others see a model and then there are those that know the name and the family reputation of as a Mafia family. I really love Ms. Luciani’s books and the connection between the Reckless Reign, Sinfully Savage, Mafia Men of Mayhem, and the Severinov Bratva books. The characters are always great, and the stories are always full of action, suspense, sexy men and women and danger. I give this book a 5-star review and I am looking forward to the next book because I need to know how things are going to get fixed.

Review of Atonement: A Partner’s Syndicate Novel, Book 1 by Tori Fox @ToriFoxBooks @greyspromo #MustRead

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 out of 5

His family business is failing, and he needs someone that can bring the Hotel business back from the brink after his brother’s alleged indiscretions and his arrest. Bastian Montford isn’t the kind of man that waits around for things to happen. He wants results and he expects them to begin showing immediately. With hiring Cameron Wilder, he is expecting his company’s image to be redeemed, but he is not expecting the Cameron Wilder that shows up. He has a past that is still haunting him and he knows that it’s come back to bite him with everything that is happening to his family and their business.

Her family has never given her the credit she is due. They expected her to be a trophy wife, but she is out to prove her worth and that she has a brain and knows how to use it. The only trouble is that Cameron Wilder also has a mouth and knows how to use it, which gets her into more trouble than it should. She’s tough, independent, smart, and very talented at her job. The company she works for is looking to get rid of her, but they know her worth and don’t’ want to just fire her, so they come up with an alternative. The only trouble is that she is going in blind.

I really enjoyed this story of Bastian and Cameron. The chemistry between these two is off the pages hot and I loved their banter and their connection. The story was great with the way that these two always butt heads and their banter is comical at times. I love that Parker, Bastian’s PA is amused by her and while he is more subdued when dealing with Bastian, he does enjoy watching these two banter and get each other riled up. I loved the characters and I loved Kilian. This was my first time reading a Tori Fox story, but if this is indicative of her writing, I will be reading more. The book was well written, and the characters are terrific and so well developed. I ended the book looking for more of this series. I would love to read more. The Partner’s Syndicate looks to be a very dangerous group of people that like to play God with people’s lives, and I am anxious to find out more. I give this story a 4-star review.

Review of Unchosen Ruler: The O’Malley Family – Mafia Wars Book 6, by Maggie Cole @GiveMeBooksPR

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5

He’s finally free after fifteen years. Now he has to prepare to take his father’s place as the head of the family. Thinking he has plenty of time to learn what is necessary to rule the family, only to find out that his time is up on learning. Liam O’Malley has to prove to the family as well as allies that he is the right man to take over for his father. Then he meets Hailee O’Hare and things in life become more complicated. He’s tired of having to prove that he has grown and changed his ways.

Hailee O’Hare is a kindergarten teacher that only dates boring men. She’s a dedicated teacher and a great one. She teaches in one of the most dangerous parts of Chicago because she fully believes that all kids deserve a chance at a good education and support to be the best person they can be. Her life has not been easy, but the secrets that are revealed in this story could be deadly.

I loved this story of Liam and Hailee. They are both passionate people that believe in trust, loyalty, and honesty. When Hailee discovers her true lineage things could go so wrong for her and Liam, but their trust and powerful connection can be what saves them both. This story was full of action, danger, lies, secrets, and tragedy. Hailee is Liam’s true Queen in every way. She’s the only person that can brighten his days and nights. It was a great story of two people that were never meant to be together but found a way and survive the danger lurking to destroy them and their family. I give this story a 5-star review and am looking forward to Nolan and Gemma’s story.
