Review of Beyond Absolution: Ghost (Serpents MC Las Vegas, Book 9) by Barbara Nolan @HiddenGemsBooks @bforlenza5

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 out of 5

Ghost has made some bad decisions in his life and the latest ones could cost him his life as well as his heart and bring up one the mistakes he made at a young age. He’s gone to the Serpents MC in Las Vegas to set up a deal to help him repay his debt with his current MC, but the bar tender at Ecstasy, the Serpent’s strip club has him wanting to stick around longer than he planned when he first showed up in Las Vegas.

Roxy tends bar for the Serpents’ strip club and has put her wild days behind her where she goes for the bad boy bikers, however when the sexy stranger comes in looking for the president of the Serpents MC, she has a hard time saying no to him. A little time outside at his bike will scratch her itch.

Roxy and Ghost have some painful secrets from their pasts and are both trying to find their way to absolution and being the person that can lead a life on the right side of morality. When they find that they can’t stay away from each other, their lives head down a path of danger and there’s only one person that can save them. While that person cares for Roxy, he has no good feelings towards Ghost, and it could be a high price to pay for Ghost. I enjoyed this story and found the characters to be tough, unrelenting, and lethal. Ghost has a lot to make up for and he’s willing to put in the effort to right his past mistakes, but will he get the chance to do it? I give this book a 4-star review.

Review of King of Clubs: Smokey Bandits MC, Book 4 by K. L. Ramsey @KLRamsey5

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 out of 5

Ryker took over as the President and owner of the Bar for the Smokey Bandits MC and needs to find a way to pull it out of the red and making a profit again. In order to do that he has to make some changes and add staff. He doesn’t want to go to Ace the past president that stepped down to run his casino and have time for his family, so he makes a bad choice and goes to a loan shark. Now, he needs to make payments and the loan shark wants to be sure that he reminds him that his payment is due at the end of the week, so he shows up at the bar and makes threats that scare Ryker.

Harlow is in need of a job to keep a roof over her and her little girl and keep food on the table for them. She lives next door to her mom, who helps with childcare and as much as she can, but Harlow knows that it’s her responsibility to take care of her and her daughter, so with no work experience at all, she goes to the Smokey Bandits bar and applies for a waitressing job.

Ryker and Harlow meet when Harlow needs to find a job and Ryker needs to hire a waitress for the Smokey Bandits bar. Ryker is determined to keep things professional, and Harlow is fine with that since her choice in men in the past has not been great in the past. Now there is more danger lurking around Harlow because she chose to be stubborn and not leave her bosses office when a loan shark showed up to remind him of his payment and got on the loan sharks’ radar. Now if Ryker doesn’t make his payment, Harlow will be taken as collateral. Ryker needs to protect Harlow, her daughter, and her mother, as well as go to Ace after all. Things will get heated and these two will have to really fight their attraction. I enjoyed this book and loved the characters. I give it a 4-star review and I look forward to more of the Smokey Bandit MC books.

What would you be willing to sacrifice for the one you love?

I was born a princess of the Celtic Reapers MC, but I’m definitely not royalty. I’m abused, tortured, and broken, desperate to escape.

I have two choices. I can stay with my childhood sweetheart, Jamieson aka Whiskey, who abandoned our plans for freedom when he patched into the MC. Or, I could win my freedom and live my dream life with loveable, sexy, tech geek Kellan.

But when I fall pregnant, my whole life changes and I’m forced to make painful decisions.

This is not your typical love story. It’s messy, it’s real, and it’s heartbreaking. This is the story of how you make an impossible choice. I’m Shayla Callahan, and this is my story.

Author Note – this is a dark mafia romance that features themes which may be triggering for some people. If you would like more details please contact: emmalunaauthor@gmail.com

Deception, secrets, betrayal, and survival.

Born the princess of the Celtic Reapers MC was not as great as most would have thought it was. She was not protected, doted on, or respected. Her father was a brutal man that only thought of what he could get out of anything or anyone. Shayla Callahan had a brutal life growing up in the MC and when she was able to, she went to Church and asked for her freedom, but she had to survive the job that would help her get that freedom, or will it make any difference?

He’s a computer geek and one the best hackers around. He was raised by Declan Doughty after his parents abandoned him. Being. The best friend of Liam Doughty, Liam went to his parents and asked them to adopt Kellan, and they did. Kellan’s hacking abilities escaped Declan’s knowledge, so he was able to leave the family when Liam did. Now he takes the jobs that he wants. So, when a member of the Celtic Reapers MC reaches out to him for help on a job, he meets with the person that reached out, only that person is not who he was expecting.

This was a tough story to read, but it was a good story. There is betrayal, deception, abuse, cruelty, and survival. Kellan and Shayla have a rough road, and with others in the background pulling strings, they don’t have a chance at all. When Shayla has to return to the compound, she feels that her life is over and decides to find a way to escape her reality until she can escape her circumstances. Shayla’s childhood love is there, but he decided to patch into the MC as a teenager. There are a lot of things going on this book, and it was done very well. I enjoyed the book, and the characters are great, they have so much to overcome in so many ways. I give the story a 5-star review and I am looking forward to Trust in Me.

★★★★★ Amazon Review – “If you’re looking for a book full of laughs as well as a little suspense then this book is for you…”
★★★★★ Amazon Review – “Another fun book! Giula writes wonderful characters, always about a bubble off a plumb!”
★★★★★ Amazon Review – “The humor in this story is TOP NOTCH!”

Her tire was low, so I followed her.
And when Jack didn’t check up on her, I followed her again.
I also ran into her at the grocery store.
I’m not a stalker.
I take my job as a police officer seriously, and that includes protecting citizens when they don’t see the danger.
I just never thought I would be called out in front of her, or require her services after an injury. I also never thought I would fall for her. But the game has No Limit and I’m all in.

I’m a stay at home mom that loves to read. Some of my favorite titles are Pride and Prejudice, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and Horatio Hornblower. I started writing when I was trying to come up with suggestions on ways I could help bring in some extra money. I came up with the idea that I could donate plasma because you could earn an extra $500/month. My husband responded with, “No. Find something else. Write a blog. Write a book.” I didn’t think I had anything to share on blog that a thousand other mothers hadn’t already thought of. I decided to take his challenge seriously and sat down to write my first book, Jack. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed writing. From there, the stories continued to flow and I haven’t been able to stop. I hope my readers enjoy my books as much as I enjoy writing them. Between reading, writing, and taking care of three small kids, my days are quite full.

Tyler Sharpe is a man with a secret, and only two people know that secret. One is his best friend Penny, and the other is boss, but neither one would betray his trust. Now that secret could come to light because Tyler’s met someone that he wants to spend the rest of his life with, but he will have to come clean and tell her who he is before they can become more.

Summer is a woman that wants to believe she’s strong and dependent, but in reality, she’s watched too many scary movies and watched too many crime shows. Her imagination runs wild with her, and she calls her father a lot to tell him something else that has happened to her, but he just listens and tells her that everything is fine. However, the one day that she called him and told him that a man followed her home and then knocked on her door, she was sure that he would help her out, but he was in Florida, so she was on her own. He did suggest that Summer get a roommate though and maybe she wouldn’t be so afraid all the time.

I love these books and characters. Tyler is the roommate of Penny and Nathan, and Penny’s best friend. When she wanted to one up Nathan, she convinced Tyler to move into their house with them. Which created a great story. Tyler is a sheriff and a protector by nature. When he believes that Summer is in danger, he decides to follow her home to tell her that she needs to keep an eye on her tire and put some air into it, but his intentions only created Summer’s overactive imagination to go wild. However, just because someone is paranoid, it does not always mean that there is not out to get them. This story was funny and heart wrenching. Tyler couldn’t let go of his past and the tragedy that his childhood became, and when he finally gets to put it to rest, more tragedy struck. Tyler and Summer are a great couple, and their story has a lot of funny moments. Summer’s. As with all of the A Good Run of Bad Luck, books, I loved this one and can’t wait to read more. I hate to see it end! I give this book a 5-star review and will be waiting to read the next book.

He’s lost so much in his life that when he has everything he’s ever wanted in front of him, he’s afraid to take it. Barracuda has lost not one, but two women that he’s loved. He can’t have feelings for the woman that walked into the clubhouse a few weeks ago looking for his friend and “brother” Tank.

Rayna was just looking for Tank, her best friends baby daddy. She was not expecting to find a family and people that would take her and Willem in and protect them from the danger that could be waiting to find them. Willem’s mother, Mia, was killed in a hit and run accident, leaving Willem behind. Rayna and Mia were best friends for twenty years and now Rayna is left to raise Willem, the baby from a one-night stand.

Rayna is afraid of Barracuda. He’s hot, sure, but he’s also a brooding, imposing man that puts her on edge. However, she can’t deny the attraction to him and the want that she has to be with him. They drive each other crazy with their dependent, overprotective natures, but they have chemistry that can’t be denied. As with all of the RBMC books I’ve read, I loved Barracuda. His story was heart wrenching, and emotional, but it was so good. I loved his vulnerable side that he showed to Rayna and his protectiveness and big heart that he showed for both Rayna and Willem. The characters in this series are just as great as the others and I can’t wait to read more. I give this book a 5-star review. Winter Travers has an awesome ability to write MC romance with her H being protective, sexy, sweet, and loving and her h being, strong willed, funny, beautiful, and the ability to know when to let her man take care of her and take charge.

Review of Voodoo’s Sorceress (Dublin Falls’ Archangel’s Warriors MC, Book 17) by Ciara St. James

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5

Voodoo is still unsettled. After his club brothers felt betrayed by his omission about his brother, he is still struggling to feel as though he fits in with the Dublin Falls’ Archangel’s Warriors. The brothers have tried to make up for their show of distrust and prove to Voodoo that he is a part of the club and family, but the tension is still there.

Voodoo is ready to make his final decision about moving on or staying when one of the prospects receives a call from his aunt about his cousin being in trouble and in the hospital. Voodoo rides out with the prospect and a few other brothers to go see what’s going on and help to protect the prospects cousin. That one trip throws all of Voodoo’s problems out the window because when he lays eyes on the beauty laying in the hospital bed, his only thoughts are with her.

Nevaeh has had a lot of men problems and now she’s in a hospital bed because someone attacked her outside of her apartment. She has no idea what happened or who her attacker was, but everyone else around her believes it is the man that caused her so much trouble before that she had to go to his father to help her. She doesn’t look her best to receive visitors or meet her cousin’s MC club brothers, but she has no choice when they arrive at the hospital.

I loved this story. It was raw, gritty, haunting, tragic, and so well written. Voodoo had a rough childhood, and he is carrying so much pain that it affects his relationship with the club and Nevaeh as they begin to get to know each other. Just like his club brother’s Voodoo knows as soon as he meets Nevaeh that she will be his, but now he has to convince her of that. Nevaeh and Voodoo have a lot to overcome and heal from but by each other’s sides they can heal and move on with their lives. I loved the book, characters and as always, the series! The men and women of the DFAW and the HCAW as well as their club friends are always a great story to read. I still wonder how Ciara St. James can make each book so much better than the previous one when they are all so great! I give this book a 5-star review and wait not so patiently for the next book by Ciara to hit my Kindle, it doesn’t matter which series it’s from.

Review of Deceive Me: Broken People Duet, Book 1 by Vi Carter @authorvicarter @jennw23

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5

From poverty to power. Jared’s life didn’t start out with much or in a loving home, but as a young teen, he’s now a young man that comes with power and prestige because his father is a man that gets what he wants. Before Jared went to live with his biological father, he was living in a home full of violence and terror. The young girl that he protected in that home became very important to him, until one day when he found her and was not there to protect her. After that day he never saw her again, never heard from her, and couldn’t find her even when he had the money and resources to do so.

Layla feared for her life and her innocence living in the foster home. She was happy to have Jared there to protect her when he could. That one day when no one could protect her and she was broken and beaten though was the day that she found safety and love. She looked for Jared and asked for help in finding him, but no one could locate him for her. Seven years later and the one boy that she could never forget is within her sights again, but he’s not the same Jared she new and loved.

I really liked this story. The characters are damaged, scared, and seeking the one person that understands them and can make them whole again. I am not generally a fan of dark bully stories, but this one was not that bad. While Jared is angry and hurt, he is not as cruel as he could be to Layla. I loved the story and am excited to read Save Me, the second book in the Duet. I give this story a 5-star review.

Review of Eternally Mine: RBMC, Tonopah, NV Chapter by Nikki Landis @EJBookPromos @landisnikkiauth

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5

He’s a prospect in the Tonopah, NV Chapter of the RBMC, but he had prospected for a rival MC previously, but he never wanted to be in the other MC. Now he’s in a better club and around people that care about him. He made a promise to his best friend the night his life turned sideways, and he plans to keep that promise, but from afar. He’ll protect Laramie forever, even if it’s from himself as well as the devil that took her brother and left Toad for dead as well.

This story is a holiday novella that is rife with danger, tragedy, and a wonderful story of two people that found each other when they should never have been together, but the heart wants what the heart wants. It never discriminates against, friendships, chosen family, or age. I love that Toad gets his HEA and a wonderful family to protect him, care about him, and stand beside him when he needs it most. I give this story a 5-star review and am excited for more of the RBMC books, especially the Tonopah, NV Chapter. I love Grim and his Reapers.

Review of Cynic’s Stance: Riot MC, Biloxi Chapter by Karen Renee @karenreneewrite @EJBookPromos

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5

Fiona has been on her own for a while now, she may be the daughter of the past president of the Riot MC, Biloxi Chapter, but he didn’t raise her, and he made it very clear when she was a teen that she was not welcome at the clubhouse. So, she made a life for herself and avoided the club. Her best friend is the old lady of a member from the Jacksonville Chapter, and they have called in the Biloxi Chapter to protect Fiona after she has been abused by her live in fiancé. She doesn’t feel that they will help her because she’s distanced herself, and some take notice and make comments, but most of them still view her as family, even though her father is no longer living.

The one man that is the reason Fiona was banned from the clubhouse shows up to help her out with the others, but there’s tension there. Not because he knows about the past, but because he feels that Fiona never wanted any part of being an MC princess. Cynic and Fiona are pushed together and have to make the best of their circumstances. When Fiona gets some information that changes her reaction to Cynic, things begin to heat up.

I really liked Cynic and Fiona’s story. There was a lot going on and the chemistry between these two was great. I love the characters and the story. I give this story a 5-star review and look forward to more of the Riot MC books.

Review of Cassio: Belles & Mobsters, Book 3 by Eva Winners @EvaWinners @HiddenGemsBooks

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5

His family is hated by many, but he and his younger brother are not part of his father’s life. In fact, they are working against them, but just their last name King, causes many to avoid them. Cassio and Luca are determined to shut down their father’s business and rid the world of him and their half-brother that stands by his side. When Cassio and Luca are called in by the head of the Irish Mafia to help rescue a young British girl that was taken by the King’s, Cassio feels a strong connection to the young teen, but he believes it to be just that he is disgusted with how she has been treated and that his father kidnapped her to begin with.

Cassio and Luca are making a name for themselves in their business and in going against their father’s business, them along with their closest friends are battling against the human trafficking ring. They don’t claim to be good guys, but they have more morals than their families that they came from. Cassio and Áine meet again fourteen years later and Cassio can’t seem to get the girl off his mind, and she feels a connection, but has no idea why. Áine finds that everything she thought about her life has been manipulated, but Cassio will stand by her side through anything.

Their story is beautiful, painful, and rough, but so worth the read. I love the characters in this series and the stories always leave me wanting so much more of the characters. Cassio is a brutal man, but he has such a sweet side. I give this book at 5-star review and can’t wait to read more of the Belles & Mobsters Series.
