This was the book I’ve been waiting to read, and it was so worth the wait.
Novah and Bayou have had a connection from a very young age, but because they were step siblings, they’ve ignored what that connection is.
Novah’s childhood drew her to her career as a Social Worker. She was determined to help kids and families that need it. She’s confident in her job and strong advocate for the family that needs the help. However, when one family needs to be protected it puts her in the firing line of the abuser and now she needs to be protected by her step brothers and their MC family. She’s not worried about being around them as she grew up with them, but Bayou, one of her stepbrothers, brings out a different side of Novah, and she’s worried about what could happen if she’s around him for too long.
Bayou has to keep his feelings in check when it comes to Novah, she’s his stepsister and off limits, but when she’s on danger his heart steps in and takes over. He has to fight harder to keep his hands to himself but it’s a losing battle.
I loved this story and I love the characters of the NOLA Defiance MC. They are strong, gritty, dark and lethal. When someone crosses a family member, they will pay, no matter what. Bayou and Novah are perfect for each other and the vulnerability that Bayou shows in this book is great. He knows who he can talk to for guidance and isn’t afraid to do it. I give this book a 5-star review and I look forward to more of the Defiance MC books by K. E. Osborn. I love her writing and her characters.
A retired military medic, now the doctor for the Soulless Kings MC. Gibson has seen too many of the Bangin’ Betties lately and given them medical treatment. His focus is on one woman in particular that comes to the club. He knows she’s a prostitute, but what the women choose to do with their own bodies doesn’t bother him. He’s watching the door waiting for Alena to step through it and when she does, he’s ready to go to speak to her, but he’s waylaid and doesn’t get the chance right away. Then she receives a phone call and leaves.
Alena made her bed several years ago. She left her parents’ home to find freedom and found herself relying on a man that she thought was her savior, until he wasn’t. Alena was a teenage runaway and on her own but when she was found in an alley by someone that she thought would care about her and then told to earn her keep, her life become someone else’s. Now she is older, but she still believes that her pimp is her savior and that she owes him, until he turns on her. When she reaches out to the one man that she thought she could rely on, he doesn’t answer her calls. Now she’s really in danger.
I love these characters and the story. This story is full of danger, twists, and secrets that will be blown open. I love the chemistry between Gibson and Alena, they’re great characters and Gibson is a man that doesn’t hold her past or her choices against her. He just wants to love her and take care of her. Now she has to come to terms with letting someone else care for her, she’s been on her own for so long and taking care of herself, she’s afraid to open her heart and her wounds. I love the book and give it a 5-star review. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series and really any next book by Andi Rhodes, she’s an awesome writer and draws you in with her great characters.
Burn With Me starts off right where Burn For Me ended. Lillian is in the hospital following the attack and is unsure that her mind is correct in what she remembers. The one thing that stands out to her is that her savior was not a human, but a dog and she needs to find it because she’s sure he needs a home.
Zach is beside himself when he walks into the hospital room and sees Lillian laying the bed. She is battered and bruised and he’s not sure what else happened, but he’s determined to protect her and find the attacker.
This was a good book, but I think I liked the first one more, only because the story was more centered on the development of the relationship. This book was more focused on Lillian and her attacker as well as her coming to terms with what happened and what she remembers. When the relationship moves forward these two have a lot to discuss to overcome their pasts and the hurt, they’ve both experienced due to their ex’s. I enjoyed the story and I love Whiskey and Smoke. I give the book a 4-star review.
A night out on the town with her best friend turns into a nightmare for Marleigh and Ellie. Marleigh wants to be strong, but the circumstances surrounding her make it hard. Ellie is the strong one this time. While Marleigh finds her way free, she won’t rest until she can find Ellie and make sure that she is free too. The trouble is that it’s taking too long to find her and after two years, Marleigh is getting tired and frustrated. She’s put herself in a dangerous position, and when Machete offers to help her, she’s not sure she can trust him, it’s been too long since she’s had anyone she could trust.
Machete and his brothers have been looking for those in the skin trade and have a lead. When they walk into the Russian owned night club looking for information, they aren’t there very long before they’re escorted to the owner’s office. Andrei Petrov is only the tip of the iceberg that the RBMC will have to deal with. When the Liverpool Chapter calls the National Chapter and speaks with Jameson, they find out that they aren’t the only ones dealing with ridding their city of these bottom feeders.
I love the RBMC books and all of the chapter’s interconnect, but carry their own stories, characters, and dangers. I love the characters and the stories in this chapter as much as I do the other chapters. Machete and Marleigh have to learn to trust and lean on each other if they are going to come out on top and Machete knows that he will do anything to help Marleigh as well as protect her. I would suggest that reading the books in order will be beneficial as the stories interconnect and are easier to follow after reading the prior book. I give this book a 4-star review and look forward to more RBMC books to come.
This book is dark, gritty, and full of angst, betrayal, and a man set on revenge. I loved it!
Rush has survived so much, and he’s grown to be a dark, revengeful demon set on destroying those that destroyed his family and his life. He’s a fighter and a survivor, and he is ready to put his plan into motion to get his revenge. The only problem is that when he has his first in person meet with Aileen Scott, he isn’t prepared for the way his body, mind and heart react to their first connection.
Aileen Scott is a young woman that has been protected all her life and treated as a princess. Yes, her father and uncles taught the kids how to protect themselves and be aware of any danger lurking, but she wasn’t ever sure she would need to worry about it. She may have been treated like a little princess all her life, but she is not a woman to let any man or woman walk all over her. She has sharp tongue and a backbone that shows when she needs it.
This story is a bit of a retelling of Beauty and the Beast and Hades and Persephone, but the real villain or danger is closer than either of these two know. Rush believes that the betrayal he feels comes from someone that saved him, raised him, and he trusted fully. Now he’s ready to put his revenge into motion and has taken the princess to hold in his castle. I love V.F. Mason’s stories. They are always full of action, danger, angst, and wonderful characters. The book drew me in from the very beginning and it was hard to put it down. There was so much to take in and soak up. I am ready for the second book in the duet. I give this book a 5-star review and am excited for more books and stories from V. F. Mason.
My Review of Heart of the Villain: Beauty and the Villain Duet Book 2 by V.F. Mason
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 5 out of 5
Aileen has escaped one beast to be thrown into another’s grasp. She had to tempt the beast and then make her move, but she escaped. Now she’s fighting against Mother Nature and the unknown.
Rush is worried, not only is he injured by his beauty, but he’s afraid she will find herself on the wrong side of the island and in danger by a man that he has been angry with for years. They have an agreement that if either of them crosses the line between their property it could mean death. Will Rafael really hurt Aileen, or does he have ulterior motives for taking her back to his castle?
A great continuation and conclusion to a great story. There were a lot of unknowns going into book 2, but once again, the story sucked me in and held on to me through the book. This conclusion to the Beauty and the Villain Duet had twists and just as much danger, action, and suspense as the first book. I loved the quotes at the beginning of the chapters as much as the story. I am always looking for books by VF Mason that I haven’t read because they are so intense and always a great read. I give this second book in the duet a 5-star review and will be watching for more, hopefully Raphael’s story.
A chance encounter with two members from a local MC changed my life, but not in a good way.
At least, not at first.
After being tortured because of who my biological father was, a man I’d only met a handful of times, the president of the club gave me two choices.
Either end up in the ground or become a prospect for the Knights Corruption.
My decision was a no brainer.
Over time, I found my place, solidifying a bond with the men I never thought possible.
I fought alongside them in a war against a rival club, teetering between life and death multiple times, but I wouldn’t change a thing because belonging to the KCMC allowed me to meet the love of my life.
I’d do anything for her, including following her to Texas for her job. The move was temporary, and while we were there, I’d integrate with our Laredo charter.
But as always, life was full of surprises.
As events started to unfold, pieces of a dangerous puzzle being forced together, a new enemy came into play, the likes of which we’d never dealt with before.
To make sure my woman was safe, I needed my brothers at my back, once again ready to go to war if necessary.
S. Nelson grew up with a love of reading and a very active imagination, never putting pen to paper, or fingers to keyboard until 2013.
Her passion to create was overwhelming, and within a few months she’d written her first novel, Stolen Fate. When she isn’t engrossed in creating one of the many stories rattling around inside her head, she loves to read and travel as much as she can.
She lives in the Northeast with her husband and two dogs, enjoying the ever changing seasons.
Tag and Morgan are moving to Laredo for a few months for Morgan’s job. She’s been asked to help set up a new Art Museum for her boss. Tag had a hard time adjusting to the MC life after all he went through and he’s not excited to leave his club brothers or his sister and mother, but he can’t let Morgan go alone. They’re both keeping something back at first., but they’ve committed to being honest with each other and things get a bit heated, and their natural reaction is to argue, but their love for each other always prevails. Trouble is lurking though as is the danger.
These two don’t’ have to be in Laredo for long, but it doesn’t mean that they won’t find trouble while there. The questions come in when both of them run into the same man at different times. Tag has trust issues when it comes to people he doesn’t know and when he’s thrust into a situation where he is sure of himself, his self-preservation and protective instincts kick into high gear.
I really liked this book, it started out a little slow, but the buildup was great. I liked the characters and the story. It was suspenseful and has great characters. At first Tag seemed to be a man that was always on edge, but the more I got into the story, the more I was drawn to him. He’s sexy, loyal, protective, and curious. Morgan is strong, independent, and sassy. I look forward to more of the Knights Corruption books to come. I give this book a 5-star review.
Title: Nuclear Option: An OPS Protector Romance Novel

Genre: Protector Romance
Release Date: September 26, 2022
★★★★★ Star Goodreads Review – “Talk about a book that keeps you on your toes.”
★★★★★ Star Goodreads Review – “What a great story, absolutely loved it!”
★★★★★ Star Goodreads Review – “Giulia Lagomarsino has never disappointed me. Outstanding.”
The exciting and thrilling conclusion to Cash and Eva’s story, and the second book in the OPS series!
The military defines a Nuclear Option as a drastic step or last resort, and I’m about to take it.
Cash
I am an expert marksman, engaging the enemy from afar.
You’ll never see me coming, because I’m that good.
Even a sniper can be drawn out of hiding.
Pull the right strings and eventually you’ll see my face.
But it’ll be the last thing you ever do.
I take warnings for what they actually are—a threat of war.
I will defend those I love and the team I surround myself with.
I will use my specialized training to take you down.
I will make you regret ever coming after me.
There is no world in which I exist that I’ll let you live.
Special Ops training gave me the tools I needed to be an effective weapon in special recon, infiltration, and target acquisition—to name a few.
I’m ruthless, fearless, and I will stop you at all costs.
Power won’t help you when you come up against me.
Intimidation is laughable.
And threatening the woman I love is the worst mistake you ever made.
I’m a stay at home mom that loves to read. Some of my favorite titles are Pride and Prejudice, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and Horatio Hornblower. I started writing when I was trying to come up with suggestions on ways I could help bring in some extra money. I came up with the idea that I could donate plasma because you could earn an extra $500/month. My husband responded with, “No. Find something else. Write a blog. Write a book.” I didn’t think I had anything to share on blog that a thousand other mothers hadn’t already thought of. I decided to take his challenge seriously and sat down to write my first book, Jack. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed writing. From there, the stories continued to flow and I haven’t been able to stop. I hope my readers enjoy my books as much as I enjoy writing them. Between reading, writing, and taking care of three small kids, my days are quite full.

MY REVIEW: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5
Hmm, where to start with this. I have not picked up a book by Ms. Lagomarsino that I have not loved! Her books are funny, suspenseful, action filled, and full of sexy, strong characters.
Cash and Eva are on the run and finding danger at every turn. When they find themselves in a dire situation Cash calls in his team for help and they come without question. Rae and New Guy are the two that stick with them on the run. However, Cash doesn’t want his whole team involved and in danger, so he just keeps NG and Rae with him, until things explode in their faces.
Eva has been on her own for so long that she has a hard time trusting in others and she’s still a bit leery of Cash and his teammates. However, after she spends enough time with them and gets to know them, she relaxes around them some. Cash is an all or nothing guy and Eva has to come to terms with that, so they have a lot of push and pull, but they are perfect for each other.
I loved everything about this book and the characters. They are sexy, strong, lethal, and caring. Some may be hard, but they do have a soft side. New Guy is awesome, but Fox stole my heart in In the Trenches. He’s deadly, crazy and a man that will do anything to protect those he considers family and Eva has wormed her way into his heart. I loved this book, and I can’t wait for more of this series. I give this book a 5-star review and if I could, I would double it.
What to expect with TYSIN: 🎸 Broody rock star 🎸 Spitfire heroine 🎸 Brother’s best friend 🎸 Forced together on a tour bus 🎸 Lots of tension because she’s already spoken for 🎸 Interconnected standalone
Tysin Briggs is a player.
He’s cocky, selfish, and sexy as sin. I’ve heard the rumors, and it’s no secret, he’s just as talented in the bedroom as he is on the guitar.
As the lead guitarist for A Rebels Havoc, and my brother’s best friend, Tysin has heartbreak written all over him. We were asking for trouble sneaking around behind my brother’s back. It still didn’t stop me from spending the summer with him or from falling in love with him.
Two years have passed since he destroyed my heart, crushing it into a million pieces. A lot has changed since then, including the ring on my finger. When my brother asks for my help filling in as the manager of their sold-out tour, it’s an opportunity I can’t refuse.
I should’ve known the past wouldn’t stay in the past.
But what I didn’t count on was how hard it would be to resist him.

Tysin “Sin” Briggs, he’s a player, he’s sexy, and he’s hurting. He’s also the lead guitarist for A Rebels Havoc and best friend to the drummer, and brother of Kyla. They have a history, but not many know about it. They kept it a secret so that Kyla’s brother, Madden wouldn’t find out and beat Tysin.
Kyla has known Tysin for years and has had a crush on him for as many years as she’s known him. She didn’t think Madden knew about the crush; he’s never said anything about it. After a rough break between Tysin and Kyla, she’s moved on and is happy in her life and where she’s headed. She’s avoided Tysin but her luck has changed. She’s just graduated from college and her brother’s band is in need of some help. After he was there for her how can she say no.
This was a story of a second chance, opening up the heart and being vulnerable. Both Tysin and Kyla have a lot to talk about to heal and move on. It was a great story with great characters, even though it was pretty emotional. The tragedy that is Tysin’s and Kyla’s lives had me in tears. On the road and in close proximity of the band for three months can create a lot of changes and problems. As with most relationships communication is needed to keep a relationship healthy, these two needed to open up and talk, but they also needed to quit sneaking around. I loved the book and the characters, and I am looking forward to Trey and Madden to come. Trey seems like a character that will be great to get to know. I give this book a 4-star review.

When an unconventional way out presents itself, can he rise from the ashes and walk alongside her on the road he fears to tread, or does he just keep running?
An excellent start to a new series, and debut for author Ruby Bloom! Two people betrayed, in trouble, and trying to escape the danger and destruction awaiting them.
He chose to do time for his club. As the president of the Black Coyotes, Colt felt it was his job to step up and take the fall for his MC. He spent five years in prison and now its release day. Things aren’t going the way he expected though. His ride is late, they don’t show any respect for the cut or patches he wears, and his mind is going crazy trying to figure out what’s going on. When they get back to the club it’s quiet and deserted. Still wondering what’s going on, Colt, asks for a whiskey.
She has done well for herself. Her father, the past president of the Black Coyotes MC, made sure that she was protected and kept away from the life he was living. April’s an attorney, does well for herself, is engaged to the proper man for her standing, but now she finds herself blind folded, with her hands tied and shoved into the back seat of a car. When she finally gets out and can see what’s going on she has no idea why she’s been brought to a run-down bar.
I loved this debut novel by Ruby Bloom and the start of a new MC series. Its action packed. Colt is a man that finds himself in self-doubt. Colt is a great character that is relatable, he isn’t so sure of himself and his past left him that way. April’s life is not what she thought she knew. She had no idea who Colt was until this day and now that she knows him, she finds herself falling for the man that is trying to protect her. I love Colt and April. They’re great characters and I love them. I can’t wait for more of this series.
No other word could better describe Brio “Lilo” Valentino. He came into my life uninvited when something in my voice spoke to him.
A fragility that couldn’t mask the pain.
From the beginning, he warned me that we were different. He was darkness. I was light. His Lucila.
Despite our differences, we fit together perfectly, like a lock and key. I had no choice but to let him in. Once inside, he picked me up off the floor and gave me hope for a brighter future.
The thing about darkness and light, though? They always create shadows. And the bloody secrets between us followed us around, keeping us separated, until we were forced to face them.
Choices have consequences—and I wasn’t sure whether ours were ruthless enough to keep us apart forever.

MY REVIEW: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5
Another great story by Bella Di Corte!
Brio “Lilo” Valentino is a man that loves his mother and tolerates his father, but his father tolerates him too. The only thing that brings father and son together is Carine, Brio’s mother. She’s a woman with a big heart that helps out troubled youth by teaching them music. His father runs the family bakery that has been open since his grandfather moved to America to live the American dream. Lilo is intense and ruthless. He’s a dangerous man and if you cross him, you’ll learn just how ruthless he is.
Lucila Girardi is a young girl trying to hide from the pain and memory of loss. She copes with a strange mechanism and when she is referred to Carine Valentino for music lessons, her eyes are opened, and a new path is formed for her. Better than the darkness she was slipping into or is it. When Lucila and Lilo meet for the first time, it’s like no one else is present. He’s dark and she’s light.
This was a tragic, beautiful story of two people finding each other, going through terrible pain, going their own ways, and then finding each other again. It’s tragic, painful, heart wrenching, and action packed. The life that Lilo lives is not for the faint hearted and when his whole world is threatened, he will stop at nothing to protect his family and Lucila. These two have a lot to go through and overcome but in the end, they were made for each other, and their tragedies bring them closer together. I love the characters and the story. Ava is a wildcard, and I can’t wait to read her book. I give this book a 5-star review and look forward to the next book in the series.
I read lots of books, from mythology retellings to literary fiction and I love to reread books from childhood, this is a place to voice my thoughts for fun. I also like to ramble about things such as art or nature every now and again.
