The Land Where Sinners Love by V.F. Mason

Whew! Talk about dark stories. V. F. Mason is a master at them.

When Phoenix is called in to help on a case with the FBI, her past haunts her. The convicted woman asks for Phoenix explicitly, but she doesn’t know this going. Once Zach hears that she was specifically requested, his guard is immediately up and his protective reflexes are front and center. Phoenix and Zach have had their tragedy and now their life is headed in the right direction, but this case could destroy Phoenix unless she can figure out the clues and help find the victims in time.

I love dark and depraved stories, and V. F. Mason always delivers them. I love her characters and her stories, and The Land Where Sinners Love was no exception. It was a great addition to her books and I loved every page I read. I look forward to more twisted stories to come from her.

When the Iron Punishers MC is looking for someplace in their community to make connections, Maniac finds his Imp. He will have to work for her, but he’s up to the challenge. She has a lot pain and tragedy in her past, and she’s closed off, but Maniac is willing to work for her trust and her love, as well as keeping her safe from the gang that trying to close up her community center.

Lark is the owner/operator of Fortress of Bravery, a safe haven in the community for young at risk kids. She opens her doors to kids that wouldn’t have a chance at a better life than their parents in some cases, or to keep them safe for those parents that do care. When the MC comes looking to help her, she’s wary at first, but then she takes note of the way they treat the kids that she’s trying to keep safe and protect from a life in a gang, and she decides to give them a chance.

She also can’t help but notice Maniac, the VP. He also takes notice of Lark pretty quickly. They both have scars from their past and it take some time for Lark to open up to Maniac, but after she does theres not stopping him going full force to win her over and make her his.

I love every book I’ve read by Ciara St. James. I find the male characters to be protective, Alpha holes, and sexy as sin and the women are strong, sassy, independent, and yet they know when to let their men take care of them.

Dirty Secrets by Tori Fox

Keeping secrets is not easy, but when you’ve lived the life that Knox has, there’s not option to let anyone in on his secrets. When his best friend and band mates, little sister Saylor finds herself in danger and goes on the tour with the band new secrets will be kept.

Saylor has had a crush on Knox for years, but only a select few have known about her crush. When she’s forced to go on tour with Sinners & Saints, her attraction could become a reality. However, this secret could tear the band apart.

Knox has always seen Saylor as a little sister, but now that he’s in close quarters with her during the tour, he starts to see her in a whole new light. His attraction is hard to fight and he really doesn’t want to fight it. She’s the only person he’s willing to share his deepest secrets with and the tour heats up in romance with these two.

I really enjoyed this addition to the Sinners & Saints series and I look forward to more in the future.

A life on the run is not ideal, but Ellery has no choice. When she ends up in a small town after finding Harper Security on the internet, she’s pleasantly surprised with the town and the friendly Tiny Home community she finds herself in. When she goes to Harper Security and tells Kane what she’s looking for, he offers to help her and when he finds out that she’s been reported as missing, his determination to help her and protect her grows more urgent.

I love the Harper Security Ops books and Kane’s story was a great addition to the series. I am looking forward to Leo’s story next.

Boomer by Marie James

He’s been living with a secret for years, and when it finally comes to light, he’s afraid he’s going to lose his family in the Cerberus MC. The thing is that they have no problem with who he is or who he falls in love with. They just want him to be happy and fulfilled with his life.

The club works together to get Boomer to see how his life could be if he’d take the chance. He wants what his brothers have, but he’s afraid to take it. A weekend camping trip with the club family brings Boomer the clarity that he needed to choose the life he’s wanted for a long time.

I love the Cerberus MC series and Boomer’s story didn’t disappoint. I love the characters and the story of each of their HEAs.

Vow of Vengeance by Hilary Storm

Brotherhood of Darkness is a perfect name for this society. It’s Dark, depraved, secretive, and kind of diabolical.

This society of wealthy members of society show how they live their lives by their own rules. Beau and Iris are both reeling from their loss, but they need to focus on what they have and how they can survive for each other. They’ll be tested beyond belief but their captivity will bring secrets to light, forever changing their lives.

I needed to read this book right after finishing book 1 because I couldn’t go to bed without knowing if the ending of book 1 was the truth. I may have stayed up WAY too late to get an newer, but so worth it! I love the book and the characters. Always love reading Sapphire and Hilary’s books!

Mister Mayhem, Shawnee, and Jacy Lee have a fight ahead of them. They will meet a lot of resistance during their fight, but with determination, faith, and family they can win the battle.

Shawnee has come into her own recently with meeting her grandfather, and finding her way towards her destiny. She’ll go through some tough training in this story to be able to fight beside her mentor and her grandfather. She and Poe will have their battles as well, but in the end, she’ll grow, strengthen her faith, and find peace in her path to her destiny.

I love the Mayhem Series by Sue Coletta, I’ve watched Shawnee grow so much since the first book and I love more with each book. She’s strong, sassy, determined, independent, and loyal. I laughed and cried reading this book. It’s emotional, but Shawnee’s sassiness and personality brings humor to the story as well as a lightness that is almost needed to get through some of the tough parts. I loved it and I can’t wait for more to come in this series or any of Sue’s other books.

Ambitious Bastard – Mafia Kings of NYC by Linny Lawless

He didn’t know his father’s world very well, but the day his father was buried, a little girl stepped up to him and made him feel wanted, seen, and not so alone.
It may take years for their HEA to happen, but Salvo knows that when he sees the beauty on the dance floor and recognizes her he won’t be able to stay away from her.
This is a great story of finding ones place in their world, finding the right person to stand beside them, and making his life into something that he’s proud of. Many people may look down on him because he’s an illegitimate son of a Mafia Don, but he knows what has to be done to keep the family going and strong.
I can’t wait to read more about this family.

A chance meeting at a family wedding. Renzo sees the beautiful woman, but realizes she’s too young for him. Extenuating circumstances bring them together several times, and he finds himself needing to do something to protect her and keep her from a marriage that would ruin her life.

I loved Renzo and Gina’s story. They come from the same world, and their families have known each other for years, but when Gina needs Renzo’s help, she believes the worst of him when he steps up to help her, but has to think on the spot.

These two will have to work through their issues in the beginning, but when they finally start to get to know each other and make their marriage work, the unthinkable happens. Betrayal is a bitter thing to have to live with, but Renzo has plans in the works to make their issues disappear. I loved the book and the characters in Family Ties, and I hope there are more to come in this family.
