Another great Linear Tactical Series story. I love Shamrock. Aiden is a man who feels so much and yet, he has to set all of that aside to do the job he has committed to doing. He would give up his cover for one woman though after he sees that Violet appears to be in trouble.
Violet is a young woman who works with her brother, a retired Navy SEAL for the family company as Engineer and is going to college for her Engineering degree. Her true passion though is baking. She is used as a pawn in a shady deal by a long time family friend and Aiden is the man who will rescue her.
I loved this story!! The men of Linear Tactical are strong, dedicated, and very good at what they do. They will go all out to protect what they deem to be theirs and they will fight until the end if they have to.
I love how these guys and their women work so well together to attain what they are after. I give this story a 5 star review and look forward to more of the Linear Tactical guys. I am excited for Angel and Ghost’s stories. I highly recommend this series to anyone who likes Romance with suspense, Alpha males, and strong women who kick just as much butt as their men do.
It took a little bit to get into this book. It was slow starting, but once it got moving it wasn’t bad. It took a couple of chapters to get there though.
Daisy is a woman who is looking for someone to help her with her cash flow and has a reputation of being a woman that you don’t want to mess with. When she meets Aman to see if he can help her, she finds herself wanting more than help with her cash.
After a man is killed and it looks like Daisy is the killer, she runs and gets away from London. However, once she is away things begin to unravel in her life and she finds that not everything was as she thought.
I found the book to be a little slow and the characters weren’t that exciting to me. I felt that they could have been a bit more in depth. I give this book a 3.25 star review.
It may take a
criminal mind to be a savvy business woman.
If so, Daisy is set and driven to succeed. But to hold on to what she’s earned, she must live between black and white. She must spend her life in the gray.
That makes it difficult for a woman to know who she’s dealing with, in business and in bed.
Idris made it his business to know hers, leaving no skeletons undiscovered. When the two meet, sparks fly and sexual tension ignites.Passion, lust, and desire come before sensible decision making.
Has Daisy gotten involved with the wrong person this time?
Can this gorgeous man be trusted, or is it him that needs to beware?
Daisy is a mixed race urban romance where the road to true love is anything but easy.
Karen Botha was born in Lincolnshire, England where her father was in the Royal Air Force. As a young girl she always had a passion for reading and writing, studying English Language before University.
Working most of her adult life in digital marketing didn’t leave her much time to pursue her passion for stories. But, at the age of 36 she retrained as a reflexologist and started working for herself. This helped her free up more than enough time to enjoy a re-found passion; writing.
Her first novel was inspired by the true life experiences of her clients. But don’t believe everything you read, she has more than enough imagination to catch you out with twist and turns galore.
She enjoys romance, traveling and motor sport, which also provide her inspiration for her books.
She currently lives in London with her husband and rescue dog,Shadow.

This is a unique story with twist, turns and shocks all the way through making it an adrenaline pumping read you will not be able to put down.

Stewart Giles – Author Bio
After reading English at 3 Universities and graduating from none of them, I set off travelling around the world with my wife, Ann, finally settling in South Africa, where we still live. After Ann dropped a rather large speaker on my head I came up with the idea for a detective series. DS Jason Smith was born. Smith, the first in the series was finished a few months later. 3 years and 8 DS Smith books later, Joffe Books wondered if I would be interested in working with them. As a self-published author, I agreed. However, we decided on a new series – the DC Harriet Taylor Cornwall series. The Beekeeper hit the shelves and hit the number one spot in Australia. The second in the series, The Perfect Murder did just as well. The third in the series, The Backpacker I have self-published and is now available.
This was an interesting story to read. Brutal murders and the cooperation of multiple police departments lead to the take down of a cruel man and his team of criminals.
The Enigma is a boat out of Scotland that ends up in a small town where the group of detectives that are on the case of four brutal murder victims will work with other departments to get to the bottom of who murdered these people and why.
This story had brutal murders and great teams of detectives to find the murder(s) and solve the crimes that were committed. The characters are a combination of two of Stewart Giles’ detective series, that include DS Jason Smith Series and the DC Harriet Taylor Series. Both detectives are very good at their jobs and know how to go about getting results. DS Smith has a tendency to go about his detective work by his own rules, but DC Taylor is more of a rule follower when she’s working. With these two teaming up though they will work well together and they will get to the bottom of the case.
I enjoyed this book. This was my first read of Mr. Giles stories, but found it to be a suspense filled story and the twists in the story were interesting. I give this story a 4 star review and would highly recommend it to anyone who likes crime, police, suspense, or stories that draw you in immediately.
Samantha Perkins, a young girl who is trying to raise enough money to help save her adoptive mom. She’s a hard worker and a young woman who keeps to herself, but she’ll do anything for the woman who took her and gave her a home at the age of six. Samantha closes herself off from the rest of the world as a safety mechanism for herself. She’s strong and stubborn, but she will meet someone who will show her that life is worth living and sharing. It will take her a while to realize this, but she will come around int he end. Unfortunately for her though, her life will go through many hard times and changes before she’ll get her happily ever after.
Logan Prescott, a lonely man who has the world by the tail but has no one to share it with. He has been in the public eye since he was a boy and has struggled with his own hardships in life, but he wants someone he can share his thoughts and worries with. Someone that cares for him as the person he is and not what he can give them because of his notoriety. He has his sister, but she has her own demons to slay and he can only share so much with her without destroying her, or so he thinks. Dana is stronger now and she is coming into her own as a young adult. His love and caring probably helped with that.
The feels in this story were all over the place. First there was the thought of “Sam, you damn fool” to “Yes, finally, you smartened up”, to “Oh my god! No!” and everything in between.
This story was so well written for the content and it blew me away. I have read Bry Ann’s Roses & Thorns series and the Shattered Duet as well as her two stand alone stories from the series and they are dark, but this was light with dark mixed in. I have become a big fan of Bry Ann’s writing this year and continue to be awed by her books. Her stories have so much in them that it’s almost as if she is writing them from her own experience and that’s what draws me in so much, I think.
I give this story a 4.5 star review and I look forward to reading more of this series and finding out what will happen next.
Wow! Talk about an ending to a story. This series really has it. Although, I hate the thought that this is the end. There are still questions to be answered.
Helena Willow is the chosen one of her and her sisters. One of the Willow quadruplets, Helena is chosen as the Willow Girl. She will go through pain while she is with Sebastian Scafoni, but the emotional pain will turn out to be the worst. She’ll have quite a bit of turmoil to have to deal with as well as some real surprises. She’s a strong young woman and will come out of this stronger.
Sebastian Scafoni is the oldest Scafoni and has to follow the legacy. He’ll do what he can to break the legacy though and to keep Helena for himself. He doesn’t want to continue the legacy and he definitely doesn’t want to hand over the woman he has fallen in love with.
I really liked this Duet. I have read some dark stories, but I think this one is one of the darkest and yet it was also very good. Definitely a top read for this year. I really hope that there will be more to the Scafoni and Willow families. As I said, there are still questions to be answered and I really want to have the answers. Gregory, Ethan, and Amy left a lot of doors open. I give this book a 5 ⭐️ review and look forward to more books by Ms. Knight in the future.
Wow, I don’t know where to begin with this. The book was everything I had hoped for and then some. This was a hard book to read in some parts and then there were other parts that I was cheering internally, my husband would have given me weird looks if they were out loud. With such a touchy subject of Sage and Nix’s lives and relationship, Bry Ann did a wonderful job with their stories and left me actually wanting to read more about them.
Nix’s life was so beyond normal that it’s amazing he is the man he is. His kind heart, and tough exterior make him such a great character. He is a mixture of good and bad, but he can’t see that. He only sees the monster that was created when he was young. Sage’s need for a hero will help to heal Nix as much as it will Sage, and their lives will change so much in this story.
I was so happy to see Nix’s side of his encounter and relationship with Rose in his story. It helped to understand him on a different level for me. I know that we saw some of it in the Roses & Thorns series, but reading it in his own story was more impactful for me.
I was thrilled with the ending of this duet, but hopefully not the end of Sage and Nix. I am hoping to read more about them in other books that are spun off from the Roses & Thorns series.
I give this book a 5 star review and am so happy I was able to read Nix’s story. His childhood broke my heart.
I highly recommend that you read this story as well as the Roses & Thorns series and Shattered. To get the full story, you have to read all of the books in the series as well as Cut and Enzio and the duet. I hope that you fall in love with these characters the same way I did.
Angel Martin is a young woman who runs a pub in Chicago. She is looking for someone to love her and stick around, but she convinces herself that she’s not. She finds herself in a huge mess after she hits a man with her car one night. She will learn a lot about her true identity throughout this story and will find that she is not who she thought she was, nor was her father. Angel will come into her own at the end of this story, but she will go through a lot to get there.
Olga is Angel’s great-Aunt who helps her out throughout the story. She is a funny woman who tries to set Angel up with “the right man”. She holds a lot of family secrets that Angel knows nothing about until she has to fight to survive.
This book pulled me in right from the beginning and didn’t let go until the end! I loved the suspense and the thrill of the story and the intrigue of who could be trusted in this story.
The characters were so well written and they each made the story that more interesting.
This was my first read of S.R. Claridge but it will not be my last. Now I have to go buy the rest of this series so that I can read more about Angel and her family. I give this story a 5 star review and highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys mafia, suspense, thrillers, and riveting stories. This book has all of that plus. Great story!
This story had so many things going on that it was intriguing. I loved how Tom Mariner’s team is brought back together by this one case because everyone one of them were actually working a different case, but they came together in the end.
DI Tom Mariner has been promoted to (Acting) Detective Chief Inspector and is working with Charlie Glover and a new DC Victoria Jasson, who was transferred to Birmingham, due to an extensive service reorganization. DC Millie Khatoon is on maternity leave and DC Tony Knox has been promoted as well. Tom works with his new DC to find a missing girl from a high profile family. The team will work diligently to find the young girl, but the intertwining of people in the lives of Tony and Millie and Tom’s case will open a whole door to this case.
I am a big fan of DC Tom Mariner and love to read this series. This story did not disappoint. It drew me in from the beginning and threw me for a loop at the end. I love how Chris puts so much into these stories that keeps you thinking the whole time you are reading. Not only do I enjoy the story, but it keeps my mind focused on what is going on and I really get into these stories. I give this story a 5 ⭐️ review and look forward to more DI Mariner books.
Sage Quintano is a crime story author who is married to the local sheriff in a small rural town in New Hampshire. She has been through a few disasters but has survived. She may not always come out unscathed, but she sure comes out stronger each time. Her husband Niko Quintano will do anything to keep her and their family safe, but when he dismisses her gut feelings about the current murders in their little town he will regret it.
Niko’s team at the sheriffs office are great officers even with two officers that aren’t as weathered as Niko and Frankie. Frankie Campanelli has been working as an officer longer than Ben or Bradley, but she is not your typical police or sheriffs officer. She doesn’t follow the dress code and at times will show up to a crime scene in heels, she is quite sassy also.
I love Sage and Frankie in this series. They are both strong women who have a great friendship and are fun to read. Every time I read one of Sue’s books it makes the day go by so fast. I get so drawn into the book and the story that everything around me just disappears. This one was no different. I find these stories to be so real, especially when I read lines like this; “Beside the personal connection and the tragedy that followed, I’d labored over every word to strike the right chord at the perfect moment to elicit the strongest reaction in my reader. Whether folks realized it or not, authors bared their souls in their books. Nothing quite compared to the intimacy shared between writers and readers, however subconscious it may be.” I can see this in most of the books I read and feel the truth in this statement.
I am kind of reading this series backwards, but it doesn’t matter because even though I know that there is another book after this one, I still get anxious wondering if all of my favorite characters will survive the book. I also get so drawn into the story that I sometimes forget that I’ve read the next book already. I love the characters in this series and I give this story a 5 star review. Now I have to go back and read the first book in the series. Good thing I already have it. I love to read Sue’s books any time, but when I have a break and am looking for a book to read during some down time, Sue is one of my go to authors.
I read lots of books, from mythology retellings to literary fiction and I love to reread books from childhood, this is a place to voice my thoughts for fun. I also like to ramble about things such as art or nature every now and again.
