ARC Review: Losing Bash by Khloe Wren @LWoodsPR

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ 4.5 out of 5-stars

The Charon MC is an MC that is much like the Satan’s Knights. They are ally’s and even though they may not be completely on the legal side, they are loyal and a family MC. This was my first time reading any of the Charon MC books, but I had been introduced to them in the Satan’s Knights books and I liked the characters that I had read in there.

Losing Bash is a sad story but it’s also a story of a young man finding his place in the world and finding his way in life. He’s loyal to his mother and his brothers in the MC even though he feels that he has been strung along for far too long. He still respects the leadership of the MC, but he needs a change so that he can grow and find his own way now.

I loved Bash, he is sexy, quiet, loyal, and a bit of a loner. He wants to be loved and he wants to find his other half. A trip to NY could be the answer to all of his problems. He has been keeping things bottled up and to himself for too long now and one thoughtless comment from a newer prospect could be the end for Bash in the Charon MC.

I loved this story and can’t wait to read more after Ms. Wren has turned the reigns over to Janine Infante Bosco for the next chapter in Bash’s story. I give this story a 4.5-star review and cannot recommend this story enough. Khloe Wren and Janine Infante Bosco have done a great job with this crossover collection.

ARC Review: Rite of Passage by Janine Infante Bosco @JanineBosco @LWoodsPR

ROP_INDIVIDUAL_BANNER

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ 4.5 out of 5-stars

I love the Satan’s Knights and I absolutely love Jack Parrish. I’ve read most of the Satan’s Knights and loved all of them, and this story does not disappoint.

Needles’ story of how he came to be a member of the Satan’s Knights has some tragic times, but in the end, he found a place he felt comfortable enough to call home. He is a man who was looking for a family and a place of acceptance. His first MC, Satan’s Knights of Albany, was nothing like the Satan’s Knights of Brooklyn. He knows that the Satan’s Knights had his back and he just has to make sure that he asks for that help when he needs it.

His world was turned on its axis several times in his life and in Rite of Passage his life will be turned upside down again. Just another crossroad he will have to cross to find peace and a life for his daughter Ashlynn. Needles became a father before he was ready, and his baby mama decided he was going to be the only parent in Ashlynn’s life when she dropped her off at the door of the MC when she was a baby. He has struggled to be the father Ashlynn needs, but after a trip to Texas, he starts to get his act together.

I loved this story and can’t wait to read more after Ms. Bosco has turned the reigns over to Khloe Wren for the next chapter in Needles’ story. I give this story a 4.5-star review and cannot recommend this story enough, as well as the other stories in the Satan’s Knights MC series.

My 5-star ARC Review of Guy by Bry Ann @AuthorBryAnn . Happy Release Day!!

Guy Cover

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5-stars

Guy is a socially awkward computer nerd who hates living in society. After years of living on the streets and surviving because of his best friend Frances, he moves away from society and the warped ways of people. He does best on his own and lives on his own private island away from everyone. He likes it that way. He runs his own business and is very well off.

Katrina needs to get away from her life and wants to hide out on an island so that her abuser cannot find her. She needs time to heal from the last beating she received. However, she is not prepared for the island and how dangerous it could be. When a storm rolls in, she is scared and doesn’t know what to do. When she hears a man’s voice trying to coax her to go with him for safety, is surprised to find someone else on the deserted island.

Bry Ann hit it another home run with this book. I love her books and this one does not disappoint. The characters in her stories may be dealing with a lot from their childhoods, but they always find the one person who can complete them and make them whole again. These characters have a lot going on but when they meet and get to know each other, they find that they are a perfect match. There are so many lines in this book that I loved, but a couple that really stood out to me and made me smile were “And let me tell ya, nothing leads to better sex than a happy guy and a confident female. And we have some bomb-a** sex that day.” This is so true. Confidence in either a man or a woman is so sexy. I also loved the reference to Seven, “He comes back in the room with—I’m not kidding you—a sword. Yep. Apparently, a “co-mobster” of Frances’s (I have no idea what to call him) uses swords as a weapon and now he’s got Guy all interested in it.” I also love the part about Bart. Bry Ann’s book always make me cry, laugh, and get so angry at the characters for being so stupid at times.

I love Guy’s awkwardness and his little quirks, but he was trained by one the best from the streets on how to take care of himself, and he can be a force to be reckoned with if provoked. I give this story a 5-star review and I look forward to more stories from Bry Ann in the future. You really have to read this book, it’s a wonderful story and a beautiful beginning for Guy and Kiki.

ARC Review of Ravage (The Severinov Bratva Series Book #5) by Kristin Luciani @kristin_luciani

Protect the empire at all costs, eliminate any threats, and defeat our enemies.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5-stars

Ravage

I have loved the Severinov family from the beginning of the series, Defiance. A family dangerous, sexy, loyal Bratva members who are fighting to keep their family safe and alive, and finding their other halves in the process. Even in the despair they go through over those they could not protect and save.

Alek Severinov is the oldest son of the Severinov family and is second in command until he is suddenly the head of the family. The pressures he has in protecting his family and keeping his businesses going make him a very disliked member of the family. He has too much to worry about and has no time or inclination to let anything get in his way. Even the woman that he has not been able to forget for the past six months since he returned form Sicily. That is until she’s put back into his line of sight and he can’t let anything happen to her.

Gianna Marcone is the only girl in the Marcone family, and she is lucky to be alive, after an attack on her life when she was a young girl. Her brothers smother her and keep her from any danger that could be lurking. She is tired of not living and having someone watch her every move. The one man that she wants told her that she has to stay away. She’s still angry at him for telling her brothers what happened six months ago, when he saved her life, because it only made her brothers more protective of her. She wants to live a normal life and go out and meet someone who will treat her normally, but it seems that she just can’t find that guy.

I loved Alek’s story. He is such a machine but, in this story, we finally find the human inside and the vulnerable side of him. The soft side of Alek is such an awesome side to see. He will do anything in his power to keep Gianna safe and protect her. When he finally gives in to his feelings their story, it’s a beautiful fall for a man who believes that he can’t have what his siblings have. His mind is always on the dark side and he finally finds his light in Gianna.

I give this story a 5-star review and highly recommend this book as well as the full series to readers who like bratva, mafia, crazy women, strong, bada** women, and men. I am looking forward to reading more of Kristin Luciani’s books in the near future. She has The Mob Lust Series that I need to read still.

Review of : THE HARDEST HIT by A.S. Teague @authorasteague @jennw23

THH - AN

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 out of 5-stsrs

What happens in Vegas is supposed to stay in Vegas, but when Aiden sees Mel and spends a night with her in Vegas, just talking, he can’t get her out of his head. She’s sassy, sexy, and funny and he wants to see her again.

Mel has not spent a night with a man without sleeping with him before the night in Vegas, but she puts on a good show for her best friend after leaving Aiden’s room in the morning. She is having the same problem as Aiden and can’t get him out of her head either, but the stars are not aligned for these two.

This story was a very good read, but it was hard to see these two fight so hard to have their time. It only happens after a tragedy and it’s a shame that it took so long for them to find their way to each other or their HEA. They each have baggage in their lives and need to find a way to overcome it if they want to be together and share their lives.

I give this story a 4-star review and recommend it readers as well as A. S. Teague’s first book in this, The Hardest Route. If you like second chance romance, men with baby mama drama, or sports romance, you need to read these stories.

Review of Madman’s Method by V.F. Mason! @LWoodsPR @Author_VFMason

MadmansMethod_Live

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5-stars

Wow! V. F. Mason certainly knows how to write dark stories. She has a dark and twisted mind and I love her for it.

Madan’s Method is a story of a small town run by five families and their kids are allowed to do as they please without consequences. That is until ten years after a horrific night their past comes back to haunt them, and it will not be a pretty ending.

Arianna Griffin is not part of a founding family, but she is the town sweet-heart, and everyone loves her. Or so it seems, until one tragic night and the consequences that follow. She loves to spend her time on the ice and dreams of winning gold as an ice skater, but those dreams will never happen for her. She’ll have to reinvent herself and do something else.

Eudard Campbell is the town bad boy and is member of one of the founding families. He and his twin brother Eachann, and their little sister Laura are descendants of a founding family, and the children of the town mayor. They haven’t had a perfect childhood, but no one knows what has gone on behind closed doors at the Campbell mansion.

I give this book a 5-star review. I loved the darkness of this story as well as the twists and turns that kept me turning the pages along with suspense of what was going to happen next. The characters in this book are as twisted as the story itself and they jumped out of the book to me. This book ends on a cliff hanger, but it will be worth the wait for more of Cassandra’s and Eudard’s story. I have read her Mafia Romance books and some of her Dark Romance books and have loved them all. I look forward to the next book in this duet and cannot wait to find out what she has in store for us as the reader, or the characters in her story.

ARC Review of Caelin by Laramie Briscoe @LaramieBriscoe

Caelin

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5-stars

This short story was so heartfelt, emotional, and beautiful. It shows the human side of what happened to the Heaven Hill members after they were being threatened and had to end it. It shows the family connection they have, even if they are not blood related, they are related by choice and it is such a strong connection.

These men and women will do their best to help and protect the members of their family and make sure that they are safe and living a functioning life. Their bond goes so much more beyond blood.

I give this short story a 5-star review and highly recommend the full series of Heaven Hill Series and Heaven Hill Next Generation to readers who enjoy MC, suspense, or stories with characters that will stay with you for a long time.

Review of Murder Beyond the Precipice by Penny Goetjen #TuesdayBookBlog @rosieamber1

195899_4531509131315_1910569502_n

A photo I took while vacationing in Boothbay Harbor. This is the most photographed church.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ 4.5 out of 5

Smart, single, young, business, woman Elizabeth Pennington needs a break from her busy day to day life of running her business. She decides to attend the wedding of an acquaintance from high school, in Boothbay Harbor, back near her hometown. She decides to surprise her friend at the same time, who is working at Boothbay Inn, while she attends the wedding. Unfortunately, she gets the Inn’s mixed up where the wedding is being held and where her friend works, and there are a lot of things happening at the Boothbay Harbor Inn that Elizabeth gets caught up in. Little does she know, her quiet, relaxing weekend away from Connecticut will be anything but.

Lucretia Sterling is trying to restore the Boothbay Harbor Inn and bring it back to life, but her husband is strong arming her with the renovations and doesn’t want her to restore it the way she wants. He wants it his way. He has a lot of secrets and is a man who scares the people who work for him. The employees and the town folk love Lucretia, but not her husband Jonathan Sterling. He has a lot to prove to his family who cut him out of the family business back in England, and he does not want to see the Inn restored or equipped the way it was back when it was first opened. He wants to modernize it and make it more of an exclusive Inn.

This was my first read of Penny Goetjen, but I would love to go back and read the first book with Elizabeth, Murder on the Precipice. Her writing is suspenseful, intriguing, and edge of your seat. I loved how Elizabeth seemed to walk right into trouble at every turn and yet was able to walk away with minor injuries. She is drawn in by her inquisitive mind and the people who work at Boothbay Harbor Inn and in the town of Boothbay Harbor. There are a lot of questionable characters in this story and it had me wondering what each one was into and what they might do to Elizabeth.

I really enjoyed reading this book and loved the characters. I especially loved Elizabeth and her inquisitive mind. She is more like a detective than an interior decorator, even if she found herself in trouble, her inquisitive mind and her sense for adventure make her life interesting. I give this story a 4.5-star review and highly recommend it to readers who enjoy suspense, small town mysteries, and colorful characters.

My husband and I have vacationed in Boothbay Harbor as well as South Port a few times and reading this book brought me back to those vacations. They were relaxing and fun. We enjoyed some beautiful views and very friendly locals. Now I want to go back.

These men never back away from danger—and always fall hard for love in Cover Six Security, an explosive new series from USA Today Bestselling Author Lisa B. Kamps.

Derrick “Chaos” Biggs lives mostly in the shadows, tethered by nothing more than a deep-seated code of honor and the knowledge that his actions are for the greater good. A failed mission forces him to walk away from his former life and he finds a new purpose working with Cover Six Security. The rules aren’t quite as loose, the work is just as satisfying–and there’s no chance of his soul being swallowed by the darkness of his past. Or so he thinks…

Lidiya Stephenson is caught between two worlds: one of her own making, and one born of the sins of her grandfather. When she’s threatened by the secrets of his past, she turns to the only person she dares to trust, an online colleague she knows only as Chaos.

Trust is a valuable commodity, one in short supply as the couple navigates a confusing maze of secrets and deceit while fighting their searing attraction for each other. But time is running out and when someone decides that the secrets must die with Lidiya, Chaos is thrust back into the shadow world he’s come to hate. Only this time, he won’t be able to walk away–not without risking his sanity, his heart…and their lives.

My Review of The Warrior: Derrick (A Cover Six Security Story) by Lisa B. Kamps

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5 stars

The men of Cover Six Security are men who fight for what is right and their moral compass will never steer them wrong, unless it has anything to do with a woman.

Derrick “Chaos” Biggs is used to working alone and he likes his solitude. When he has to be around the men and women he works with, he feels that he has to put in so much effort to be polite and smile. This is why he likes being a computer geek. He can interact with people online and not have to face them in person, so his real persona can be hidden completely. The one person he interacts with on a regular basis is a hacker who can get into places he has trouble hacking. He has been communicating with Lee for eighteen months now and has his opinion of who Lee is in his head, but when Lee reaches out to him and asks for his help, he is thrown for loop when he sees Lee for the first time in person.

Lidiya “Lee” Stephenson is a computer hacker and a recluse, for the most part. After going into hiding two years ago to stay alive, she does her best to stay off anyone’s radar. She can’t afford to be found by the one person who wants to find her and kill her. However, he may have found her and could be closing in at any time. When her life is on the line, she reaches out to the one person she feels can help her, Chaos, a computer hacker who asks for her help on occasion when needed. She has her perception of who Chaos is, but she has no idea who he really is.

I love the Cover Six Security books. Derrick’s story didn’t disappoint either. He is a man who makes his way through life on his own believing that he can take care of himself and he doesn’t need his team mates to help him, until he does. He is so inside his head that it takes him almost losing Lee for him to realize that what TR has been telling him was right all along. The chemistry the men at Cover Six Security have is great as is the chemistry that these men have with the women in their lives. I love the series and cannot wait for Wolf’s story. These men fight so hard not to fall that when they do, they fall very hard. I give this story a 5-star review and highly recommend it and the other books in the series.

Review of Vengeful by Kristin Luciani @kristin_luciani

Vengeful

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ out of 5

Full of suspense, heat, betrayal, and lethal families.

Natalya “Tali” Severinov finds herself in a situation that she’s afraid she won’t be able to get out of. All because she let one man in when she was vulnerable and still reeling after her father’s death. That one man was playing her, and she was too broken hearted to see the signs or to avoid the hold he has on her. His betrayal could be the death of Tali and her brothers, now she and her brothers will have to fight for their lives as will her new neighbors in Monaco. It’s a good thing it’s something they are all used to doing. It’s in their blood.

Cristian Marcone is looking to avenge his father’s death. He and his brother have gone to Monaco to see if they can figure out who killed their father and his business partner. Are they coming for the rest of the Marcone’s next? Can they figure out who is behind the murders before it’s too late? Cristian has to fight to get his head back in the game after he meets Natalya. He’ll find more than his father’s killer in Monaco and changes are headed his way. He has to deal with the betrayal of his family and the one person that he thought was an ally.

I loved this story and the connection and heat between Tali and Cristian is off the charts. I love this series and this story is just as great as the others. The Severinov’s are lethal, loyal to each other, and very deadly. You don’t want to cross them or be on the receiving end of their bad side. It appears that the Marcone’s are the same way. Alec is a force to be reckoned with and I can’t wait to read his story.

I give this story a 5-star review and recommend it to readers who like Mafia, suspense, and stories of families that will kill to protect the ones they love.
