A modern retelling of Hades and Persephone that is dark, twisted, and left me hanging.

Luther Hades lives in a mansion on the mountain. He is dark, lethal, and powerful. He gets what he wants, and he doesn’t make any excuses for how he lives or what he does. He makes a lot of bargains with people when they find themselves in his path and fear for their lives. He despises he brother Zeus that lives in the city and rules there. There are many rumors about Luther and his mountain mansion.

Persephone is sheltered by her mother, Demeter. She is naïve about the world around her outside of her mother’s fences. She wants to leave the fields that she has been working for the better part of her life helping her mother. She loves the sunshine, flowers, and fields, but she wants to go to the city and especially the New York City Library.

Hades and Persephone’s meeting will bring them both to realizations about their lives and who they are. Their arrangement could cause both of them their lives, but they also can’t back out of their arrangement.

The deceit and twists in this book are dark and dangerous. Luther will not only put his life in danger with Demeter by keeping Persephone, but he also has to worry about his health because Demeter’s deal with him could end if she doesn’t find her daughter, or if she finds out he has her. I enjoyed this story, but the cliffhanger left me wondering about a lot. I hope the next part comes out soon. I give this story a 4-star review and suggest that if you like dark, twisted stories, then you should pick this on up, but beware there is a cliffhanger.

Nick Giordano was born into a mafia family. He and his brothers run Dark Odyssey a sex club in Chicago. Most people think of him and two of his brothers and accountants, but they don’t know what lies beneath the outer shell. He’s ruthless, deadly, sexy, and very Alpha.

Mia Chase is a woman whose life has turned upside down and she has to return home to Chicago to care for her dad and her niece and clean up her brother’s mess. She went to Harvard on a scholarship for law and had the dream job of interning at one of the best law firms in LA. Now she is in need of a job that will pay a lot of money and desperate to keep her family safe.

These two together are like dynamite. They ignite at their first meeting and just keep burning the more into the story I got. They both come from different lives, but they have no idea that their lives are actually intertwined nor that they were made for each other. I loved this story, there was so much going on in the background, but it didn’t distract from Nick and Mia at all, it only added to their story. I enjoyed the twist that the story took as well and did not expect that at all. I give this story a 5-star review and look forward to Gabe’s story in the near future. If you are a lover of mafia, billionaire, suspense, dark and Alpha men who want to play, then this is a great read for you. The Giordano brother will not disappoint.

🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 5 out of 5 and if I could give more I would.

Some monsters are born, and some are made. Not all monsters are bad though.

Another awesome book by V F Mason that had me wanting so much more. I loved the pace, characters, and story of this book.

Arson is a man who keeps to himself and has a small circle of people in his life. He doesn’t consider them friends or family, but people he knows he can count on if needed. He has very few attachments in his life until he finds a fallen angel that he wants to keep captive and possibly use to his advantage.

Chloe “Callista” lives in “heaven”, but in actuality, it’s hell. She has no freedom to live her life on her terms, she is forced to live by someone else’s rules and any detours from those rules and she is punished. Her escape from her living hell may not be a blessing.

I loved everything about this book. I’ve read a few of the books in Ms. Mason’s Dark Romance series and they are dark, but awesome. The story drew me in and held me captive throughout. Callista is Arson’s light in his dark world. She draws him out in a way that no one else could. While she lived a sheltered life for many years, she is no stranger to darkness. She may think Arson is a monster, but she has no idea of the people who live their lives appearing to be good but are darker than Arson or any of his group.

I give this story a 5-flaming star review. If you like dark, suspenseful, dangerous, deadly men, then you should read Arson’s Captive as well as other books in the Dark Romance series. These men will leave you wanting more all the time. I highly recommend reading V F Mason’s books, she does dark very well.

Whew! Dark, dirty, vengeance, death, brutality all what is found in this story. The Royal Bastards MC Tulsa chapter are men who are smart, lethal, loyal, and very rich. Their MC compound is not what you would regularly see on an MC compound. They don’t look like most bikers, but they certainly act like them.

Koyn is looking for vengeance for his wife and daughter. It may take a while, but he will find it. Little does he know that he could find more than what he expected when he goes looking.

Hadley ran from one prison to another, even if she doesn’t see it yet. She’s blinded by a youthful love, but she really has no idea who Junior is anymore. She’s about to find out though. Her life has been a mess since her mother died. Her life is about to change, but is it for the better or worse than what she’s been living in for the past year?

I loved the darkness in this book. It was brutal but written so well. The men of the Royal Bastard MC have no problem doing what needs to be done to protect what’s theirs or to get revenge on those that have wronged them. They are men who will stand by their brothers no matter what and they will also help to guide them so that they don’t do anything stupid.

I give the story a 5-star review and suggest that if you like dark, dirty, brutal MC stories, you need to one-click Koyn by K. Webster and read it. This book will suck you in and keep you prisoner until the very last page.

Wow! What a story. A Story of revenge, secrets, and a strong connection.

Persephone Abbott first met him when she was a little girl. He was her knight in shining armor more than once. She is now in charge of the family business and household, but is she? She is keeping a huge secret, one that can destroy lives and get someone killed.

Hayden Montgomery is looking for revenge and Persephone is in his path and will be sacrificed. He wants the Abbott family to pay for their past discretions. He now owns the house and the Abbott family business. He will use Persephone for as long he wants until he gets his fill of her. Hayden Montgomery is a sexy, brooding, self-made billionaire. He was cut off from the family money, but he didn’t need it anyways. His revenge is not only for the Abbott family, his family has some things to pay for as well.

I loved this story. There were some twists and the suspense of what would happen, who was involved, what did happen, all kept my attention throughout the book. Ms. Knight wrote another great story and I really hope there will be more of the Montgomery and Abbott families. I give this story a 5-star review and highly recommend it to readers who like mafia, dark romance, or suspense stories.
