It was supposed to be this way. I knew and agreed to the terms. He kept his word and stuck to his end of the deal. But I still notice the ache of disappointment he’s gone. Part of me is giddy from everything we did and all the ways he made me feel. The other half wonders if it was better to have never known anything so excruciatingly pleasurable existed.
There isn’t a bone in my body that isn’t aware I’ll never experience anyone like him ever again.
I let myself get lost in my trip down memory lane for a brief moment. Then I get up, shower, and go to put on my clothes from the night before. I figure I’ll do the walk of shame out of the high-end suite and onto the sixth floor to the room I’m sharing with my girlfriends. Panic fills me when I can’t find my panties, bra, or dress.
I open the closet, and a new, white, very expensive sundress is hanging there. It has a built-in bra, but there are no undergarments anywhere. A note is attached. It reads:

My Krasotka,
Your dress and bra will be delivered to your room after they are cleaned. I’m keeping your panties.

A scribbled letter resembling an M is at the bottom of the paper.
I gape at the note and dress for a minute then bite on my smile.
Pervert.
M. His name starts with an M. Or is it for his last name?
That’s all I know of Mr. Stranger Danger. He could stand in front of me, and I wouldn’t know it’s him. I have zero clue what he looks like, his real name, or anything else about him. The only thing I’m positive about is his voice, bergamot and cardamom scent, and the way his body formed perfectly against mine. Most of the things he said, I didn’t even understand since he often spoke in another language. I’m not sure how he knows what room number is mine, but for the first time in my life, I’m not going to overanalyze it.
Krasotka. He kept saying it all night, as if it were his pet name for me. What does it mean?
I grab my phone and type it into the search bar. It’s Russian.
Krasotka: Gorgeous, Beauty.
Besides all the mind-blowing O’s he gave me, it hits me that I genuinely feel happy and alive again. I haven’t felt anything but unwanted, sad, and ugly in a long time.
For some crazy reason, I’m glad he kept my panties.

“Why did you call me ‘Ruby love’?”
He huffs out a breath and drops his gaze to stare at the floor. He shrugs. “It just came out.”
“Love is a pretty powerful word to just come out.”
“Yeah, sure, if I meant anything by it. I didn’t so you can stop worrying.”
“I’m not worried,” I lie. I open the fridge and pull out a beer. “You want one?”
“Am I going to be here long enough to drink it?”
I shrug. “That’s up to you.”
Liam’s head whips in my direction and his eyebrows shoot up in surprise. “Yeah, I’ll take one.” I hand it to him. “Thanks,” he says as he twists the cap off.
We both stand there, silent and drinking the cold Bud Light. When he tosses his empty bottle in the trash under the sink, it clanks with a few other empty bottles, the sound startling me.
“Ruby, we need to talk.”
“Do we?” I counter.
He stares at me as if trying to make up his mind about something. “Forget it.”
Liam stomps to the door and yanks it open. He glances over his shoulder and the hurt in his eyes shatters me. I won’t admit it out loud, but I can’t let him leave. Not like this.
“Wait,” I call just before he pulls the door closed.
He turns around to face me but says nothing.
I drop my gaze and swallow. When I lift my head, I force a smile. “Thank you.”
“For what?” He shuts the door and remains inside. “For picking your ass up off the floor, for cleaning up your head, for fucking you for the last few years, for following your rules, or for leaving so you don’t have to talk?”
His words burn like acid, but I deserve them. Every single one. He’s not going to like my answer but at least it’s the truth.

Due to commitment issues I have lived in many different cities and my favorite is Chicago but I have managed to settle into Austin and perhaps my commitment issues are behind me. 

I have enjoyed reading from a very young age and it wasn’t long before the children books bored me and I read the books my mother enjoyed Stephen King and Dean Koontz and I didn’t sleep without the light on until I was about ten. 

I came across my first Harlequin by accident and it was love at first read, no one died and happy endings? It was a whole new world and I loved it. 

I wrote my first story at eight and everyone died, of course. Since then I would like to think I’ve gotten better and now I’m writing the happily ever afters I first fell in love with, with some hot sex thrown in along the way. 

As a plus size woman myself, I have started writing the stories I always wanted to see myself in but never did. And now I’m ecstatic to give BBWs the happily ever afters with hot Alphas I want to read.
