“Don’t scream.” He barely speaks it. Just a low intonation from the shadowed figure in my armchair. 
My heart stutters and thuds painfully when I identify him, one elegant leg crossed over the other, lounging back like he owns the place. 
He unfolds his large form from the chair with grace. 
“Wh-what are you doing here?” I catch the back of the sofa with my fingertips to steady the swoop of the room. Damn blood volume. 
He doesn’t answer, just saunters toward me with a devilish smirk in place. Like he knows everything that’s about to happen and enjoys that I don’t. 
Damn Russian. 
“I came to get what’s mine.” He advances slowly. 
The floor stops tilting enough for me to take my hand away from the couch and jab it into the purse still slung over my shoulder to find my phone. I might be able to call 911— 
Ravil catches my wrist and takes the phone away, pocketing it. 
Or not. 
He divests me of the purse, which he drops on the floor by the satchel. 
If he looked angry, if his touch had hurt me, I’m sure I would have screamed. At least, that’s what I tell myself. 
In reality, I’m trapped in his azure gaze, memories of how he commanded my body so masterfully the last time we were together flooding back. 
I find indulgence in his eyes… not rage. Only a hint of danger. 
I put a hand protectively over my belly and take a step backward toward the hall. 
He catches my wrist again and pulls me back. Places my palm back on the sofa. “I liked you where you were, kotyonok.” 
Kotyonok. His pet name for me. 
Kitten. 
He picks up my other hand and puts it on the back of the sofa, and I have no doubt why he enjoyed this position. I’m perfectly presented for a spanking. He presses down on the backs of both hands, his body crowding mine from behind. “Don’t. Move,” he murmurs against my ear. 
I instantly rebel, pulling one hand up and away. 
“Hmmm.” He’s patient. He catches my hand and pins it down again. “No safe words for you this, time, kitten. But I’ll be gentle.” 
He bands one arm around my waist and splays his hand over my growing belly. “You shouldn’t have kept this from me.”

Great characters, great story and great read.

I loved this story. It has a Bratva Pakhan that pretty much rules his own little spot in Chicago. He’s a powerful man that has a soft side but rarely shows it. After a Valentine’s Day encounter with a beautiful woman that he can’t seem to forget, and an accidental meeting again, Ravil will go to an extreme that is against the Bratva Brotherhood edict, but he doesn’t care. He lives in America and has his own cell of Bratva, so he plans to change the rules for his own cell.

Lucy is a woman that is driven, hardworking and beautiful lawyer trying to prove her worth in her father’s law firm. After being a relationship for 8 years that is going nowhere, she decides to split with the man that she thought would be her forever. After a Valentine’s Day encounter in Washington DC, with a man that she doesn’t know, nor have a name for, she finds herself in a situation that she never thought would happen. When she takes on a new client, she finds herself in a predicament that could cause her to lose everything she always wanted.

I loved the characters in this story. The men in Ravil’s Bratva family are funny and loyal. They tease each other as well as their leader without worry of retribution. They are like a true family that protect each other and love each other. Lucy’s first encounter with these men is entertaining and the fact that all of the people that she comes into contact with in the Kremlin follow Ravil’s word with little fight is testimony to his power as well as their respect for him. These two will have some trust issues that they will have to clear up and will have to learn to communicate with each other if they expect to move on and have a life together. I hope there will be more books with these characters. I would love to read Maxim’s story, Oleg’s story, and Gretchen needs one too. The twins are entertaining and would be great to get to know better. I give this story a 5-star review and hope to read more about the characters in the Kremlin.

Talon “Wraith” is the VP of The Houston Defiance MC, he was brought into the MC by the President’s son when he was living on the streets trying to survive. He had a haunting, destructive past that made him into the man and monster that now is. He has addiction, but it’s not what you would expect it to be.

Kharlie “Prinie – Princess” is the daughter of the past President and sister to the current President, Zero of the Houston Defiance. She’s having a hard time accepting the MC as family since she has lost so much because of the MC and the war they have with the Delta Militia. She took her younger brother and left the Houston Defiance for a year but is now back home. There is unfinished business between Prinie and Wraith. They’ve been trying to keep it from Zero, but they can’t seem to keep their issues behind closed doors.

This was a great story. It has some hard issues that it deals with, but the story, the characters and the plot are great. Prinie and Wraith are not meant to be together according to the MC. Prinie should be hands off because she is the MC Princess, but Wraith is drawn to her and he fights that attraction the best he can, but Prinie is determined to have Wraith, because she is drawn to him and can see so much more in him than the rest of the MC. He’s a dangerous man and Zero doesn’t want them together, but circumstances will throw them together in this story and they will not be able to fight each other any longer. I give this story a 5-star review and cannot wait for Kevlar’s story. I love the characters in this series, the men are possessive, dangerous and loyal to the MC as well as their women, the women are strong, sassy and determined to have the man that their heart desires.

Rosalyn is the daughter of a soldier in the mafia. She had a rough childhood with her parents always fighting. She has been promised to an Underboss so that her father can change territories. Little does she know that there is another man that has asked for her hand in marriage as well. Her life is about to be turned upside down and there is nothing she can do about it.

Devious is the Don of the five famiglia. He is a hard man and doesn’t let betrayal or deception slide. When he wants retribution for Rosalyn’s father, Lex stealing from him, he shows up at their apartment. He will get his retribution but not in the way he initially expected.

I enjoyed the story and plot of this book and the characters. Devious and Rosalyn will have to overcome some issues before they find a way to move on with their lives. The Italians and the Irish are at war and Devious will learn that he is being betrayed. Now he needs to find out who it is that is trying to take him out and why. Rosalyn is a strong woman that wants nothing to do with marrying either of the men that want her. She’s willing to do it in name only, but she does not want to marry them or show any emotional attachment. When she finds herself in danger, there is only one man that can save her and protect her. I give this story a 4-star review. If you like mafia romance stories, arranged marriages, with strong, sassy women then you will enjoy this story.

With outstretched arms, he grabbed the top rope around the ring and tugged it down as he stared at me. A predatory grin played at the sharp curve of his lips, an overwhelming tease in and of itself. 

Those lips were made for sinning. 

Resisting the urge to move, I refused to let him see me squirm. He hadn’t so much as touched me, but he seared my skin with his brand and imprinted himself on my soul with nothing but a look. “You want me to put my hands on you, Baby Girl?” he asked. “I can think of far more interesting ways to entertain you.” 

I swallowed, shaking off the fog of lust threatening to make me jump his bones. 

Well, bone. 

“This is the only thing I’m interested in,” I said. 

“Little Liar,” he chuckled, shaking his head. The look on his face held zero trace of the annoyance most men would have felt if they thought I was playing hard to get. Instead, my resistance only seemed to spur Enzo on and make him more determined to watch me unravel. Something lurked behind his eyes, a demon simmering below the surface even though his face and words seemed otherwise amused. 

I had the distinct impression I was treading water in the deep end and too naïve to realize a current threatened to pull me under. 

“Don’t be a douchebag,” I laughed. “We both know sex would be a blast, but it isn’t going to happen. So put on your big boy pants, jump up here, and show me what you’ve got, Enzo.” 

He complied, pulling himself into the ring with a masculine grace that should have been impossible for a man his size. Enzo moved like an assassin in the night, fluid and silent until he wanted his victim to feel that single moment of pure terror before it all ended. Bellandi men were psychotic, often enjoying the thrill and fear they instilled in their victims before they struck. 

But Enzo was his own brand of crazy. Determined to win, with zero interest in anything but getting the job done, he didn’t do it for joy. 

He did it because it was his duty, and I had a feeling he was a killing machine beneath the careful facade he created to hide what lurked inside him.

Wow! Twists and turns, secrets, betrayal and sweet, tough bikers, what more could you ask for in an MC?

Collin ‘Pope’ O’Brien is the president of the Gypsy Bastards MC. He has a history with Storm and keeps her at arm’s length, although, that’s not what he wants to do. He grew up with her and her sister Winter. When Storm told Collin that she was in love with him as a teen he turned her away and she left her home to be on her own. She needed to get away from him and the heart break. He knows that she had it rough, but he has no idea how rough or what her life was truly like when she left.

Storm tried to be loyal to her sister and stay away from Collin, but she needed to confess her love to him. He rejected her and she was heartbroken. She found her way back into his life, but they both try to keep their relationship to friendship, that is until tragedy strikes too close to home for both of them and they realize that life is too short. The only problem is that there is a huge secret that could destroy what they want to build. She considers the Gypsy Bastards her family.

This story is a second chance romance with twists, secrets, betrayal and tragedy. It is heartbreaking and tragic but it’s also full of great characters, tough bikers that are wrapped around a baby girls’ finger, and a family of loyal men that will fight for the safety and protection of their loved ones no matter what. I loved this story although it brought me to tears from the very beginning. It is tragic, but with a HEA. I love the strength and sassiness of Storm and Brogan. They aren’t afraid to stand up for what they believe, and they won’t take any crud from anyone. I love the Gypsy Bastards and I look forward to more of these great characters and wonderful books by Ms. Marshall. If you like tough bikers with a soft spot for kids and women, then you will love Ms. Marshall’s Gypsy Bastards.
