He’s been betrayed again. His new wife is missing and most of his men are dead at the house where no one was supposed to know he owned. Who found her, who took her, and most importantly, who is betraying Cristiano Grigori? Cristiano knows what it looks like, but can he trust the blatant look of the ambush? He’s not a man who trusts easily and the way he left his wife is eating at him, now she’s been taken, and the only survivor looks to be the one that has betrayed him.
Scarlett De La Cruz Grigori has been taken on the night of her honeymoon. Her husband wasn’t home with her, but that doesn’t mean that he left her to this fate, either. Scarlett is a pawn in a much larger game than she has any idea of. Even Cristiano has no idea the lengths that some will go to destroy her and her Cristiano. Scarlett has always been a fighter and she won’t quit now. The only problem is that the men that have taken her have implicit instructions not to hurt her, so when she fights, others around her pay the price and she can’t keep letting that happen.
The ending to the To Have and To Hold Duet was an action-packed story with betrayal, set ups, and dark, twisted characters. I loved every bit of it and want more. I know this is a duet and this was the end of the duet, but there is still more to the characters that needs to be told. The characters have so much more to share, and I really hope that Ms. Knight is in agreement. I love the characters and the story. Cristiano and Dante have unfinished business and I need to know how it will pan out. I give this story a 5-star review and I look forward to the next book that Ms. Knight writes. She always knows how to draw in the reader and holds them so tight they have no choice but to buckle up and hang on for the ride. Her books are some of my favorite books to read.
