Ember is loyal to a fault. She is so loyal that she has put herself in harm’s way to protect her little sister and older brother. Her bad choices have put her in a bad spot and in danger. The only problem is that she doesn’t know how much danger yet. When she returns to Las Vegas with her brother, Ice, the president of the Dessert Sinners MC Reno section, and she sees the only man she has ever had a crush on, she is devastated when he comments on her new relationship.

When Colt sees Ember again, the old flame that he had seven years ago start to burn again. He wants to get to know her again, but after he sees Torch kiss her and stake his claim on her, he decides it’s not worth it. He turns his back on Ember until truths begin to come to light, then he finds that he can’t turn his back on her. He realizes that she needs help and that she is stronger and more loyal than he first thought.

I loved this story so much! The men of the Dessert Sinners MC are tough, mean, and loyal brothers to the MC. This is a story of family, love, second chances and betrayal. The Las Vegas Dessert Sinners MC have to deal with a rival MC that wants to take over their area and bring in illegal business that the Dessert Sinners do not deal in. I give this story a 5-star review and recommend this book and series to readers who like MC, second chances, or stories of men who will go to any lengths to keep the woman they love safe and protected.

“You all right, man?” Micah asked, his tone serious.
“Yeah. Yeah, I’m fine. It’s just…” He wouldn’t understand. Nobody would.
“I know, Griff.” Micah placed his hand on my shoulder. I didn’t bother
trying to remove it. Micah wouldn’t budge. “We’ll find her. You’ve gotta
believe that.”
“Alive or dead?” I whispered.
“Huh?”
“Yes, we’ll find her,” I lifted my eyes to the ceiling and blew out a
frustrated breath. “But will it be alive or dead?”
 “She’s a fighter, Griffin. We’re
going to bring her home.” Micah’s head twisted toward the kitchen as another
cry rang out. He turned back to me and squeezed my shoulder. “We won’t stop
until we do.” And then he was gone.
Of course we’d bring her home. I knew that. Leave no man behind. Dead or alive. Jesus, let her be alive.
I followed the sounds of laughter and made my way into the kitchen,
pausing at the door and taking in the sight of my family. No one acknowledged
my presence, and that suited me fine. Nell was putting some snacks out for
everyone. Micah and Sadie each held a baby, swaying to calm them. Doc and Aiden
sat at the bar shoveling food into their mouths as quickly as it hit the
counter.
She should be here.
I rubbed the ache in my chest as I walked the rest of the way into the
space.
“Finally.” Nell winked to soften the comment.
“Sorry,” I mumbled to no one in particular. No one acknowledged the
apology, nor had I expected them to. I knew they weren’t angry with me for my
broodiness, and certainly, they had an idea of the cause. With our shared past,
most of us had PTSD, causing some off
days. Sure, I’d been cranky and anti-social more than usual, but they
understood why. Partially, anyway.
The next hour was as close to fun as it could get. We ate, joked,
laughed, and ribbed each other. We talked about our time together in the Navy
Seals, regaling Sadie with more stories than she probably wanted to hear. It
all felt so…normal.

As Doc was reminiscing about his first day with the BRB, my phone
vibrated in my pocket. I ignored it, wanting to stay present in the moment.
When it vibrated again, and again, I gave in and took it out of my jeans. After
swiping my finger over the screen, I punched in the passcode, and my stomach
dropped as I read text messages from Jackson, the Sheriff.
Jackson: Possible break in the case.
Jackson: We need you. Be at my office in half an hour.
Jackson: Where are you?
Jackson: Call me, dammit!

Griffin won’t rest until he finds Brie, he only hopes that she’s alive and not too broken when he finally finds her. He’s been looking for months, but he hasn’t had any leads. Everyone in the Broken Rebel Brotherhood is worried about both Griffin and Brie.

Brie has given up it’s been too long since she’s been taken, and she is convinced that Griffin is not coming to save her. She’s convinced herself that no one from her team is coming to save her. She fought at first, but she quickly realized that it did no good. Will anyone find her before the light completely goes out in her? She’s had to endure a lot in her life, and this may just be the one thing that really can break her. When she is rescued, she isn’t able to overcome her past while being coddled or constantly under someone’s watchful eye, so she decides to go it alone. The only trouble is, she doesn’t realize that Griffin won’t let that happen.

This story had me crying from the start. Brie is fighting for her life and decides to give up because she believes that no one is coming to rescue her. She’s a fighter but this is too much. I am loving this series and I look forward to Aiden’s story. If you are looking for an MC story with a twist, you should read the Broken Rebel Brotherhood series. It’s not your regular MC series. These members are all about protecting those that can’t protect themselves and they will go to any length to make sure that justice is served on those who hurt others. They are retired special forces and have their own dark pasts, but they are a family that has each other’s backs no matter what.

Another great, dark retelling of a fairy tale, but this one is not for children.
This story is of a dark time in the world that can only be repaired by the mating of two beings from different lives. The outcome could be disastrous, but by the whispers of the Gods it could also be the only way to save those effected. The only problem is that it will take years for the effects to happen and for safety and peace to be restored.

Karzan and Janey are destined to be together, but they have to overcome the distance between them as well as the dangers surrounding the island that Karzan lives on. He is unaware of his heritage, but he is slowly learning of his destiny and who he is to become.

I really liked this story. Ms. Leahy has done a great job with this story. It was dark, twisted, tragic and a great story of bringing two worlds together. If you like fairy tales and dark twisted stories, you’ll love Legend. I give this story a 5-star review. I whole heartedly recommend all of the Sinister Fairy Tale stories. They are twisted and depraved, and great reads.

I love the In The Shadows Security series and Guts & Glory: Steel did not disappoint.

Anson “Steel” Sterling is a man who likes his women to look athletic, not soft or curvy. He is not ashamed to voice his opinion even if no one wants to hear it. He gets himself into more trouble with his mouth than he does any other way. Diesel chooses him for an assignment to watch over a woman athlete and he is not impressed with the job at first. Then he meets Kat and sees her in action and his interest peeks.

Kat is a woman in a man dominated sport, but she’s good at what she does, and she makes no apologies for it. She’s determined to be the best in her field and has been the top contender four years running. She’s powerful, independent, and strong and she doesn’t need a man in her way to keep her safe. Or so she believes. She’s out to prove her father wrong in his beliefs of how women should act and that she can be more in life.

These two are perfect for each other. They both feel that they have something to prove, if not to themselves then to those that believe they know what’s best for them. They are both strong, both emotionally and physically, and they are stubborn. I loved this story and found the heat between these two to be explosive. They are great together, but they need to figure that out on their own, and it will take them a while to do it. They both respect each other, but can they figure out that there is more between them than respect before it’s too late? I give this story 5 steamy stars and highly recommend that you one-click it and read it, especially if you like strong, independent women who realize that they are more with someone they love standing next to them. This entire series has been great so far and I cannot wait for Brick’s story next.
