Review of Guarding Georgia: A Bulletproof Butterfly Novel, by Anna Brooks #TuesdayBookBlog @annabrooksauth

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5

Wow! This book is action and Alpha packed, it’s steamy, and an edge of the seat read with twists throughout. I loved it from the first page to the end.

Georgia Westbury comes from a wealthy family with a father who is only concerned on the next deal that will get him more money. He’s corrupt and doesn’t care about his family unless they are helping him bring in more money. He married into money and has ruled his family with an iron fist from day one. Georgia has lived a life of money and no wants, with the exception of love and care. The one boy she has had a crush on for years, she has to act like she’s better than him and doesn’t care about him because her father had drilled it into her head that he is dangerous and no good.

Beau Bradford has loved Georgia for years. Growing up and going to the same school since day one, he has had her in his sights for years in high school. They have a strained relationship until tragedy hits Beau’s family and Georgia is in danger. That’s the turning point for them, but it won’t last for long.

I loved this story and it was hard to put the book down. I love the characters and will have to read Ms. Brooks’ other books. This was my first read of Ms. Brooks, but it definitely won’t be my last. I was gifted this ARC to read and I am so happy that I was a winner and had the chance to read it. I loved it and can’t wait for more. I give this story a 5-star review because it had everything I love in a book. Alpha, possessive man, a woman who has no problem letting that man take care of her and puts all of her trust in him, even if it takes ten years for her do it, action from start to finish and pages that draw my attention so much that I lose track of everything going on around me.

Title: Ties That Bind
Series: Ruthless Sinners MC Book 1
Author: L. Wilder
Genre: Romantic Suspense
Release Date: May 6, 2020

The tension is high. The chemistry is explosive. The romance is swoony. The action is breathtaking. And the heat? That is SCORCHING! ~Britt Red Hatter Book Blog

I love the way L. Wilder creates these MC worlds and how each club has a different set of alpha males that make you fall them all. ~Goodreads reviewer

Delilah and Hawk are delicious together. ~M **the biggest bookworm**

Hawk and Delilah are an unlikely couple and prove that just because you are from two different worlds you can still find love. ~Read All About It

A thrill ride that will have you holding your breath to the very end. ~Book Club Gone Wrong

L. Wilder knows how to write great MC books and series; that’s just a fact! ~World Of Books 65

If the rest of L. Wilder’s new series is like the first book we are all in for a h*ll of a ride. ~Goodreads reviewer

Trust.
Loyalty.
Family.
These are the ties that bind. As a Ruthless Sinner, I live by those words—all the brothers do. We’re family, our bonds stronger than blood, and as their sergeant at arms, my loyalty has never wavered—until the night they brought her to the clubhouse.
The red-headed beauty didn’t belong there.
It was her brother who’d betrayed us, but there she was, atoning for his sins.
I didn’t want to hurt her.
I wanted to protect her, claim her as my own, but as secrets started to unfold, I was left with an impossible choice.
The ties that bind often come at a price—some more costly than others.
This is Hawk’s story- Book 1 of L. Wilder’s new Ruthless Sinners crossover series. Ties That Bind is a standalone MC romance with a group of bikers who will take you on a hell of a ride. They’re foul-mouthed, possessive alphas who will stop at nothing to protect their women. No cheating and a HEA.

Leslie Wilder grew up in a small town in West Tennessee. A country girl at heart, she’s always thought that life is too short, but she had no idea how short it really was until her brother passed away in 2014. She’s always been an avid reader, loving the escape only a great book can give, and wondered if she had what it took to write one of the wild romances she’d come to adore. With the support of her family and friends, she published Inferno: A Devil Chaser’s MC, one year after her brother’s death. With him in mind, she fulfilled her lifetime dream of writing. Since then, she’s completed the Devil Chaser’s Series and continued on with the Satan’s Fury MC Series. She has so many stories in her head, and can’t wait to share each and every one.
Leslie has been blown away by the support of her readers, appreciating every message, review, and encouraging word she’s received over the past year. She looks forward to continuing this journey with them for years to come.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5

He wasn’t a man who ever thought he’d settle down with one woman, but when he first saw Delilah something inside of him shifted.

Hawk is dedicated to his brothers in the Ruthless Sinners MC. His focus is on keeping them safe and watching their backs no matter what happens. When he has trouble with his distributer his whole life will change. He came from a loving family and is not broken nor is he damaged in any way, he just found that the Ruthless Sinners MC completed him and gave him a place to feel whole and like he belonged.

Delilah and her brother Danny came from a single parent household after their mother left their father when they were young. Delilah worked hard to get her nursing license and works at a Nursing Care Home. She’s happy with her career and her life. When her brother Danny is not heard from by her mom for a day, her mother becomes worried and asks Delilah to check in on him and finds more than she’s looking for.

I really liked this book. It’s full of action, secrets, deception, danger, and an MC that is more than what they seem on the surface. They’re 1%, but they prove that should not judge a book by its cover. They are so much more than what you see. They are dangerous, deadly, but they have huge hearts. I give this story a 5-star review and look forward to more of the Ruthless Sinners MC. If you like MC, men who will do anything for the ones they love, are loyal but just as dangerous, you will love this book.

Father Figure

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5

Look at that SEXY cover too!

WOW! This book was full of heat, turmoil, and secrets. It’s so wrong, but such a great read!

Father Gabriel Thorne is a man in turmoil. He is an ex-Navy SEAL now a Catholic Priest. His past has eaten at him for almost twenty years. April 23 is always a rough day for Father Gabriel. It was the day that his life changed him. He changed from a cocky young man who thought he was invincible to a killing machine for the SEAL’s. After he left the Teams, he struggled for a few years before he was saved by Father Michael and his life changed again, giving him a new purpose.

Blue “Mariana” has had a rough life. Her mother was neglectful and found her life from a needle and a bottle. When she finally told Blue about her father, it was a lie, but it was a lie that Blue lived and found her path to live. She was determined to search out and destroy the man who killed her father. Little did she know that her life would be changed in so many ways with that determination for revenge.

I hated Blue in this story, especially the beginning. Her need for revenge blinded her and made her a person that was destructive and mean. I hated the way she was with Gabe and he had no idea why. I did eventually warm up to her, after Gabe brought out the kind person who wasn’t blinded by hate and destruction. I was happy to see Gabe find peace with his past and his life. I give this story a 5-star review and highly recommend it if you enjoy stories of taboo love, age difference, angsty, tumultuous characters, or stories ex-Military men, you will love this story. It’s hot kept me on the edge of my seat while reading it because I wasn’t sure when Blue would finally see the light. I love Alana Albertson’s SEAL stories and was so happy to see the Pickled Frog in this story.

Another great story in The Sinister Fairy Tales Collection!

The Mafia is for life! Especially if you are born into it. Then you just have to find your own way of living and surviving the life. Arabella and Domenico have found a way to do that.

Belle is a woman who needed to find freedom and get out of her gilded cage. At nineteen she finally found her way out from under her father’s thumb after he humiliated her. She slipped her guards and found her way to a new life that she was able to maintain for three years. She needed to find a way to pay for rent and food, so she worked at a strip club for cash under the table. She needed to keep watch thought to make sure that she wasn’t found by her father or his associates to keep her freedom. The only trouble is that she is found, and that freedom is taken away from her again. The secrets she’s keeping from her captive could help her, but she is not aware that one of the men who is her captor knows her secrets and is keeping his own.

Domenico is a high ranked mafia member and he is the man that has Belle in a cage and is keeping her prisoner. He has secrets of his own that he is keeping from Belle. He has lived a life of danger, death, and abuse from a family that can’t accept him for who he is. He was given a directive before Belle was taken to keep her safe, but he doesn’t know who she is or what has prompted the kidnapping or the directive. When he finds out what’s going on and what’s in store for her, he decides to take her and keep her safe, but it puts them both in danger now.

I loved this story and the characters are great. Belle and Domenico are perfect for each other and the secrets that they are keeping could either be detrimental or help them. Their story is full of action, betrayal, deception, loyalty, twists, secrets and lust. I loved the buildup to their lives and their future. They are both dangerous and can keep each other safe and protected. Their power and strength are paramount to who they are as well as how they will rule their family. Belle and the Beast are perfect in this Sinister Fairy Tale. I give this story a 5-star review and cannot stress enough how great The Sinister Fairy Tales Collection are. I highly suggest that you start reading them as soon as possible.

I woke up in the middle of nowhere knowing that my life had been changed forever. They transformed me into someone I don’t recognize, or in this case—some THING. They made me a shifter and I have no idea why. I can feel my inner wolf clawing at my insides, wanting to get out but I can’t let that happen. I won’t let him hurt the woman I love; I just got her back and now there’s so much more at stake. Sophie’s pregnant with my baby and we need to figure out if he’ll be a wolf like his old man. I’m new to this whole shifter world and if I don’t find answers soon, I’ll have to let her go. I’ll have to let them both walk out of my life and that will kill me.

Ringer has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember and I’m pretty sure I’ve been in love with him the whole time. I gave him one night because it was all he asked for, but he gave me so much more in return. I’ve hidden my pregnancy from everyone so far, but now, that’s become impossible to do. I need to make a choice—let my guard down and embrace the shifter he’s become or raise my son on my own.
Ringer is the first book of the Perdition MC Shifter series by BE Kelly.

My Review:

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5

Ringer needed to get away from New Orleans to get his head on straight. He is in love with his best friends little sister, but she’s younger than him and he didn’t want to prevent her from living her life and he didn’t want to tie her down, so he decided to go to Texas to hike and spend some time in the wild. Little did he know that a chance encounter with three guys would change his life forever.

Sophie grew up with Ringer and has loved him ever since she knew what love was. After the trouble with Anthony Sr. Sophie’s older brother Reaper no longer trusts Ringer. Unfortunately, he is being condemned because of his relationship to his own father. When Ringer offered to keep Sophie safe and take her away from New Orleans until his father is dealt with, they spend one night together and then she left the next morning. That one night had ever lasting consequences for both Ringer and Sophie. Now she needs to know Ringer’s secret if they are going to move on and have a life together.

I really liked this story. Ringer was so much more than I had given him credit for from Reaper’s book. He is kind, considerate, and caring. He’s a man who is trying to find his way in a life that has changed so much for him and he just wants to find his place in the world. He believes he’s found that place with his new MC, Perdition. The only trouble is that there is a new MC in town that is keeping an eye on Perdition to make sure that they are on the up and up, but the members of Perdition MC are now under the spotlight and in danger. Will they all survive, or will there be more danger for all the members and their loved ones?

I give this story a 5-star review and highly recommend it to readers who enjoy MC, shifter, suspense, twists, and women who are strong, sassy, sexy, and stand up for their men as easily as their men stand up for them. I love the characters in this series and the characters in the Reckoning MC as well, they are all fun to read.

Review of Crimson Bayou (A Dark Horizon Captives) by Sonora Voss

Crimson Bayou

⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ 3.5 out of 5

She’s naïve, semi-educated, beautiful, and looking for more in her life. Unfortunately for her, the offer she has received is not legitimate and she has no idea what she’s signing up for. Carmen DuPree is looking for a way to get out of her life in Mississippi and move on to a better life. She wants to open her own dance studio and the offer she has been made could help her with that, little does she know that it could lead to her demise.

He works for Dark Horizon’s and most of his jobs have been working overseas in protective services, but now he has agreed to help with a job of taking a captive and sending her to a buyer that is looking for young girls. He’s not completely comfortable with this job and the woman he has to put on a plane is not his normal type, but when the buyer decides that she is too old for him, Eamon Hart is now in a situation where has to get rid of the beautiful young girl he is holding captive. The only problem is that he doesn’t want to.

This was a good story. A story of captive to lover with two people who could not be more different. Carmen was born and raised in Mississippi as a poor girl raised in the system due to a tough family life. Eamon was a Marine and now works for a black ops company that takes on various jobs. They are both damaged from their childhoods and are both trying to survive. This is the first of this kind that Eamon has taken on. He doesn’t trust easily and only has one person he can rely on. I give this story a 3.5-star review and recommend it to readers who enjoy ex-military, black ops, or captive to lover stories. This was my first read of this series and my first read of Sonora Voss.

My ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Review of Mob Lust (The Complete Series) by Kristen Luciani @kristen_luciani

MobLust

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5

Wow talk about a dysfunctional family that are loyal, ruthless, and entertaining, the characters in this series are just that. They aren’t always loyal to the Salesi Mafia family like they should be, but they are loyal to a fault. A series full of Lust, danger, twists, and lovable characters.

This series includes the story of:

Nico Salesi and his best-friends little sister, Shaye. Their story is complicated. They grew up together and even though their families are part of the Salesi Mafia family, their parents have had a divorce of sorts. Shaye’s parents are not a tight with Nico’s as they once were because her father became too greedy. Nico tries to keep Shaye away and safe, but his feelings for her are too ingrained to keep her away. Besides, she won’t let him dictate her life to her anyways.

Max and Sloane. Sloane was not raised in the Mafia, but she has been Shaye’s best-friend forever and although they all think she has no idea who they are, she is not a dumb girl. She’s watched The Soprano’s. Max and Sloane’s story is a story of Max making so many mistakes that he almost loses his girl. His past choices and mistakes will come back to haunt him and Sloane, and they have a lot to overcome to move on and find their HEA. Max finds the reason to be a better man and there is no stopping him once he finds it and figures out what he wants out of life. I love Max and his loyalty is hard to ignore. He may not always have his head in the right space, but his heart definitely is.

Rocco and Kat’s story is a story of two lethal people who fight their attraction and tell themselves that they can’t go there. There are too many secrets between these two and they could destroy both of them or they can make them stronger. They come from two different families, but their families work together. Kat has survived a devastating loss and is looking for closure, but she doesn’t have all of the facts and no one wants to tell her because she can be a lose cannon. Rocco is the only person who can save her and set her on the right track to live her life and find peace. Even with the huge secret he has kept from her. I loved these two as well.

Then there was the Bonus Book: Fatal Lies. It is a story to two people who found each other in the most in opportune time, but the heart wants what the heart wants. These two are fighting for their lives and have a huge secret between them, but Braxton has made promises to Loren as well as kept the truth from her so that he can protect her. Loren is running for her life because she was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Braxton is looking for redemption as well as closure. These two are fighting to stay alive.

I loved these stories and had a lightbulb moment after reading Rocco and Kat’s story. It took me that long to figure out she’s the crazy cousin of the Severinov’s. I read their stories first and now I understand so much more after reading Kat and Rocco’s story. If you like Mafia, Bratva, suspense, men who will do anything for their families, and women who keep their men on their toes, then you will love this series. I did and I give it 5-star review for all of the books in the series.

My ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Review of In Walked Sin (Book Five of the Touch Series) by Stoni Alexander @stonialexander @HiddenGemsBooks

Sin

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5

Sinclair Develin is The Fixer in the Nations capital. He is a man who can make things go away, find the truth in situations, clear someone’s name, or clean up a situation. He will do it all for a fee, a large fee. He’s powerful, sexy, and dangerous.

Evangeline is a government agent working on a baby trafficking ring and her case has just been halted by Sinclair. She now has to figure out a way to get her case back online. However, there are a lot of things holding her up, one being that she’s been implicated in a sex tape and been suspended. She’s strong, beautiful, and determined.

This was the first book I read in the Touch Series, but it was fine to read as a stand-alone. It was also a great book and I want to go back and read the others now. The heat between these two is off the charts and the fact that they have a history is a cherry on top. The twists in this story are mind blowing and heart breaking as well. If you like stories with twists, deception, strong women who can take care of themselves and others as well as step back and let someone help them and take care of them, characters who come out of the book for you, then you will love this story. I found the characters to be fun, strong, smart, and capable of pulling me in and keeping me hooked until the very last page. I give this book a 5-star review and enthusiastically recommend it to readers.

My Review:

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5

Pearl needed to get out from under her father’s finger and show that she could be a great tattoo artist on her own. She loves her father, but his criticism of her work breaks her heart. Little does she know that he really thinks she’s good but doesn’t know how to be any other way. His past still haunts him, and he tries to outrun it by drinking regularly. A Vietnam vet that was never treated for the PTSD that he surely has from his time fighting in the Vietnam war has made him the cranky old man he is. He loves Pearl and has fought to keep her safe most of her life. He’s kept secrets to do that will come to light and put more than Pearl’s life in danger.

Driller is the nephew of the President of the Dead Ringers MC. He grew up in the MC and has seen a lot of things over the years. He is protective of his MC brothers, but he is also keeping a secret from them because it involves blood family. His Uncle Stoney is the President of the MC, but his time serving in the Vietnam war has caught up with him as well. Another Vietnam vet that has not had the proper care for PTSD but also has other health problems. Driller doesn’t want to keep the secret about Uncle Stoney, but his father and the other older members of the MC need him to keep that secret for now because if things come to light too soon the MC could face some big problems.

When Driller and Pearl are reacquainted things heat up. Driller wants to protect her and keep her safe, but Pearl hold too many prejudices against the MC. One being the danger her father was in, but also things that happened in her past to make her warry around the MC members. They will eventually find their footing with each other things really get heated up when they do.

I loved this story and give it a 5-star review. I cannot wait for more books in the Dead Ringers MC books. If you are a fan of MC romance, suspense and intrigue stories, books with some twists and full of secrets that bring danger to everyone, then you will love this book. I suggest you one-click it today and read it.

My ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Review of Deadly Lust (Se7en Deadly SEALs Series) by Alana Albertson @AlanaAlbertson @HiddenGemsBooks

Deadly Lust

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5

ARGH! Not again. I need to know how this is going to end.

Grant has never stopped loving Mia, but he is having a hard time seeing her side of things and forgiving her. He has his own theory on what happened and Joaquin’s situation. His digging can only cause more questions and more theories to come to light.

Mia’s whole reason for making herself into someone else was to save her brother’s life, not get Grant back, but she can’t deny that it’s a great perk to the situation. She’s having a hard time seeing things the way Grant is presenting them, but she knows that she loves him and doesn’t want move on in life without him.

Wow! This story is full of twists, intrigue, secrets, deception and some serious psycho characters. I loved every page of the story and was so frustrated when it ended. I want more. I hate having to wait until May for the next part of the story, but I am sure that it will be worth the wait. I have no problem with books ending on a cliff-hanger, what I do hate is the wait to get the rest of the story. I give this story a 5-star review and highly recommend it to readers who enjoy twisted, psychotic characters, military men that will do just about anything to protect their loved ones. I cannot wait for Deadly Scandals. Ms. Albertson has done a great job with this story and the suspense is killing me. I actually love the suspense and she’s done a great job with the build up and leaving me wanting so much more.
