šŸ”„ Review of āžœ Tink (Devil’s Handmaidens MC #1) by D.M. Earl – releasing 11.3 @dmearl @EJBookPromos

āļøāļøāļøāļø 4 out of 5

Tink/Maggie/Goldilocks, President of the Devil’s Handmaidens MC, Timber-Ghost, Montana Chapter. MC Princess, young woman whose world was turned upside down at the age of twelve, and then again at the age of eighteen. Now she’s determined to break up every trafficking ring she hears about and save those that were taken and forced into a life they never wanted. She has loving parents and sisters that will do anything for her, no questions asked. Even help her without her knowing it.

I really liked this book, and the characters. The story was tragic but with a happy ending. The characters are a little broken but have huge hearts and are bad asse’s in their own rights. With the large space in Montana and the ranches there is a lot of space to have animals, out buildings, protected space, and if needed space to house those that need saving or space to heal. Tink and her MC have the space to bring those they save and help them heal and move on if wanted. Tink needs to find Hannah so that her world can right itself. After so many years, she’s afraid of what she’ll find though. I enjoyed the story, and the introduction of new MC’s to read and get to know. This was my first read of a D. M. Earl book, but I liked her style and character development. I am anxious to read Shadow’s book as she is such a great character with so many sides. I give this book a 4-star review and look forward to reading more of D. M. Earl’s books.

I warned her.
I told her there’s no line I won’t cross to keep her.
And that’s what I did. I crossed a line.
Thing is, I don’t regret it. I’d do it again if I had the chance.

This all started with me needing a wife—a wife I didn’t want.
But things changed. She got under my skin and into my bed.
Now, I’m not willing to let her go.
Not even if she begs me to set her free.

She knew the risk.
She knew my love would come with a burden she’ll carry for the rest of her life.
And the rest of her life is now; it’s here with me as her husband.
Whether she spends it behind a locked door forever…that’s up to her.

Author’s note:
Unraveled is book three of the Dark Sovereign series and should be read after Alexius & His Wife. This is a dark, mature romance and contains situations that some readers might find offensive. This book is the final part of a trilogy and is NOT a standalone.

MY REVIEW: āļøāļøāļøāļøāļø 5 OUT OF 5

He’s unapologetic about his methods of keeping the only woman he’s ever loved, but when things go a little too far, Alexius Del Rossa does apologize to his wife. Leandra is so angry at Alexius for betraying and lying to her that she can’t seem to get her mind straight. Their love runs deep, but pain and heartache blind Leandra’s love for a while.

I really enjoyed this story, and the characters, they are dark, vicious, sexy, and a bit flawed. Alexius may have never wanted a wife, but when he fell in love with Leandra, he fell hard and deep. No one will stand in his way of keeping her. He will do anything to keep her safe and with him for eternity. It could be sooner than they thought though with someone scheming to take the Del Rossa’s down. I give this book a 5-star review and I look forward to more books by Bella J, hopefully more with the Del Rossa’s.

Day 6 of the Blog Tour – Dead and Gone by Stephen Puleston – With my āļøāļøāļøāļøāļø Review @Booksnall2020 @stephenpuleston

Dead and Gone (Inspector Drake Book 9)

A woman’s body lying in a roadside ditch. Soon after one of her work colleagues is murdered at an ancient castle. Can Inspector Drake discover what connects them before more deaths?

Llinos Malton works with Annie, Inspector Drake’s partner, but her absence from work is troubling until her body is discovered in a roadside ditch. Is it more than a hit and run? Another of Annie’s colleagues, John Smyth, is missing but there is nothing to suggest foul play until his body is discovered in the grounds of an ancient Welsh castle.

Relationships made decades previously suggest there could be more to Smyth’s background. When the team discover Smyth’s links to some nasty extremists learning more about Smyth is urgent. And is Malton involved too? Drake faces pressure from his superior officer to focus on one suspect.

The death of an extremist linked to the inquiry suggests it is unconnected to the first two deaths but Drake’s instinct tells him the inquiry is more complex than first appears.

With the spotlight on the department where Annie works Drake can’t avoid Annie being involved and when he identifies the killer Annie’s life may well be at risk. It means a race against time to capture the killer.

Dead and Gone is the ninth book in the dynamic Inspector Drake crime series. If you like clever mysteries, great plots and believable characters then you’ll love Stephen Puleston’s Ian Drake novels.

 STEPHEN PULESTON

Stephen Puleston was born in Holyhead/Caergybi, Ynys MƓn, in Wales. After leaving university he trained and practised as a lawyer.

He is now a full time author presently writing two crime series. Both are based in Wales, a country rich in history and spectacular scenery.

The Inspector Ian Drake books involve a detective inspector based in North Wales, the area where he was born and raised, who faces his own demons while solving gruesome murders.

The Inspector John Marco series follows the adventures of John Marco an inspector based in Cardiff, the capital of Wales. He’s from a Welsh-Italian family catching the killers at large in the bustling city of Cardiff.

All the novels in the Inspector Drake and Marco series are available as audiobooks. All are narrated by experienced professional actors.Stephen lives with his family in Ynys MƓn/Anglesey

MY REVIEW: āļøāļøāļøāļøāļø 5 out of 5

Another great story in the Inspector Ian Drake books. Inspector Drake has a lot riding on this case. With three deaths that seem to be connected, Inspector Drake and his team are fighting against their superior officer to find the truth behind these three deaths. Not only that, but two of the three dead are colleagues of Annie, Inspector Drake’s partner in the history department at college.

Inspector Drake misses the days when he could count on his superior officer to have his back and support his investigations with little worry. Now he has to prove himself constantly and it makes it hard to do his job properly and thoroughly.

There are a lot of twists, unpredictable connections, and suspense in this story, all part of the reason I love the Inspector Drake books. With his OCD and his tendency to dig deep into the cases he is trying to solve, it makes the story so much more than just a suspense book. It brings you into the lives of the characters and the plot. I always try to work out the bad guy from the beginning, but with the twists and turns in these books, it’s never easy until almost the end of the book. There are few clues as to who the correct suspect is and it always keeps me involved in the story until the final page. I love the quirkiness of Ian Drake and his team. They all bring something different to the table and the team works well together. I give this book a 5-star review and I look forward to more from Stephen Puleston in the future.

MY REVIEW: āļøāļøāļøāļøāļø 5 out of 5

Another great story by Janine Infante Bosco. This was a great side story with Dirty Deeds as the story line went along with Dirty Deeds but had its own path. David Schwartz is a powerful lawyer following in his father’s path with the family business. He is on retainer by the Satan’s Knights MC and seems as though he never has any down time. Jack Parrish and the Satan’s Knights keep him pretty busy. He doesn’t have time or the inclination to settle down or date on a regular basis. His life’s too busy and he hasn’t found anyone that piques his interest since college.

Vanessa Pierce is struggling to get by in life and help her father with her nieces that he has custody of. One tragic night left the girls orphans and one catatonic. Vanessa and her father are doing the best they can, but health issues are plaguing her father and money is tight. She won’t give up though and a chance meeting one night on the side of the road Brooklyn Queens Expressway puts the man she had deep feelings for in college back in her path and nothing will be the same again.

I loved this story of David and Vanessa. Fate has a way of putting people in our lives when we need them most, even if we don’t know it. David was a man focused on his work and nothing else mattered. He defended people that probably shouldn’t have gotten off in the legal system, but he had put his conscience aside years ago. However, one woman and two little girls opened his eyes and brought his black heart back to red.  His life would never be the same now either. I love to read stories of second chance love, men that can’t seem to open their eyes or their hearts only to have it broken open and their eyes to see the light by something that they never thought would happen to them. This story is a great one to show that. I loved the characters and Cecily was a bright light that could bring anyone to their knees add in a little girl that looks so broken, how could anyone walk away and say they don’t care? I give this book a 5-star review and I am looking forward to more books by Janine Infante Bosco.

MY Review: āļøāļøāļøāļøāļø 5 out of 5

Enzo Scotto is the only son of Wolf, President of the Satan’s Knights MC, that works on the right side of the law. He owns his own construction company and has a clean slate as far as the law goes, but that does not mean he’s not liked by the cops. He is the son of an MC President. When he takes a job to do some work on a boat for an up-and-coming political candidate, he meets a beautiful woman that he can’t seem to forget.

Danica Matthews’ life is imploding. Her marriage is over, her night of drowning her sorrows is over and now she’s staring at man that showed up on her boat to make repairs. She knows that she can’t follow up her fantasies about this man in front of her because she’s still married, but that does not mean that when he leaves her boat, she will forget him.

This was an awesome story of Enzo and Danica’s meeting and road to an HEA. I love the Satan’s Knights characters and they were just as funny and dangerous in this story. Parrish always brings an unpredictable side to the stories, and he didn’t disappoint. I loved that Wolf and Parrish were not too old to throw down with each other over their perceived handling of the situation. Even with the fighting and yelling about how things should be handled, these men and women love deeply and strongly and that never changes. They’re a family and families fight, but they always have each other’s backs, and that never changes with the Satan’s Knights, no matter what they’re going through, they will always have each other’s backs. I loved the book and the characters as always, and I give this book a 5-star review. It was also a great introduction to Cease & Desist, the story of their lawyer, David Schwartz.

They call me a soldier of fortune. I go where the money takes me.

Lauren Vos, an FBI agent, and I were an odd pairing, having met years ago on another job.

Against my better judgment, I let her under my skin.

She got to me in a way no other woman had before, but it still didn’t stop her from stepping over my lifeless body the first chance she got.

The day she left me for dead changed me in too many ways to count.

Now that our paths have crossed again, all I can think about is revenge.

The problem with punishing Lauren Vos is that instead of running as far from me as she can, she enjoys the way I treat her.

Her need for degradation may be the death of us both.

The Mission Mercenaries series is a Cerberus MC spin-off. Expect crossovers to happen!

I’m inching up on the BIG 4-0. The gray hairs are doubling what seems like daily, and the wrinkles and laugh lines are more pronounced than ever.

I have an amazing husband (Married just over 15 years.)

We have two boys we’re doing our best to raise as respectful gentleman.

I have a master’s degree in criminal justice which I used to work as a juvenile probation office until deciding to write full-time in June of 2019. So that means there’s usually always some criminal/law element to my novels.

If I’m not writing; I’m reading.

My favorite genres recently are bully/reverse harem and enemies to lovers. Maybe I’m reliving my traumatic teen years through the girls who actually end up with the boys. (Not that I would change my history since it’s gotten me exactly where I need to be!)

MY REVIEW: āļøāļøāļøāļøāļø 5 out of 5

This book has all the feels and emotions. It’s hot, steamy, dark, tragic, and haunting, but it’s a great read.

Angel returns from the dead, or some thought anyways. He’s a mercenary and he is not ashamed of his job or his position. He wasn’t always bad, but when he was stepped over and left for dead by the one person he stood in front of to protect and then was taken into the hands of the enemy and tortured, he became a deadly Angel. He was already a broken man from his childhood, but this was beyond what his mind could accept.

Lauren lives for danger, action and dark situations. Her childhood showed her that life is not bright and sunny. When she lost the one person that protected her, it made her a woman living on the edge. As an FBI agent, she could find that edge by helping those that were taken and sold in the sex trafficking business. However, when things start to come back on her missions and cause her trouble with her job she has nowhere to go, so she turns to the one man that she couldn’t seem to forget.

Angel and Lauren are steamy, dark, and so right for each other. This story had me crying, cringing, and holding my breath at times, but it also was a very hard to put down read. I loved all of it. Its action packed and the characters are wonderful, as is always the case with Marie James’ stories. I can’t wait for the next book in this spin off series from the Cerberus MC. Liam’s story looks to be just as steamy and action packed as Lessons Learned was. I give this book a 5-star review.

šŸ”„šŸ”„šŸHOT NEW RELEASE IN THE NOLA DEFIANCE MC – Hesitate Book 3šŸšŸ”„šŸ”„ by K. E. Osborn @KEOsbornAuthor

āļøāļøāļøāļøāļø 5 out of 5

This was the book I’ve been waiting to read, and it was so worth the wait.

Novah and Bayou have had a connection from a very young age, but because they were step siblings, they’ve ignored what that connection is.

Novah’s childhood drew her to her career as a Social Worker. She was determined to help kids and families that need it. She’s confident in her job and strong advocate for the family that needs the help. However, when one family needs to be protected it puts her in the firing line of the abuser and now she needs to be protected by her step brothers and their MC family. She’s not worried about being around them as she grew up with them, but Bayou, one of her stepbrothers, brings out a different side of Novah, and she’s worried about what could happen if she’s around him for too long.

Bayou has to keep his feelings in check when it comes to Novah, she’s his stepsister and off limits, but when she’s on danger his heart steps in and takes over. He has to fight harder to keep his hands to himself but it’s a losing battle.

I loved this story and I love the characters of the NOLA Defiance MC. They are strong, gritty, dark and lethal. When someone crosses a family member, they will pay, no matter what. Bayou and Novah are perfect for each other and the vulnerability that Bayou shows in this book is great. He knows who he can talk to for guidance and isn’t afraid to do it. I give this book a 5-star review and I look forward to more of the Defiance MC books by K. E. Osborn. I love her writing and her characters.

Review of Gibson: Soulless Kings MC, Book 8 by Andi Rhodes

āļøāļøāļøāļøāļø 5 out of 5

A retired military medic, now the doctor for the Soulless Kings MC. Gibson has seen too many of the Bangin’ Betties lately and given them medical treatment. His focus is on one woman in particular that comes to the club. He knows she’s a prostitute, but what the women choose to do with their own bodies doesn’t bother him. He’s watching the door waiting for Alena to step through it and when she does, he’s ready to go to speak to her, but he’s waylaid and doesn’t get the chance right away. Then she receives a phone call and leaves.

Alena made her bed several years ago. She left her parents’ home to find freedom and found herself relying on a man that she thought was her savior, until he wasn’t. Alena was a teenage runaway and on her own but when she was found in an alley by someone that she thought would care about her and then told to earn her keep, her life become someone else’s. Now she is older, but she still believes that her pimp is her savior and that she owes him, until he turns on her. When she reaches out to the one man that she thought she could rely on, he doesn’t answer her calls. Now she’s really in danger.

I love these characters and the story. This story is full of danger, twists, and secrets that will be blown open. I love the chemistry between Gibson and Alena, they’re great characters and Gibson is a man that doesn’t hold her past or her choices against her. He just wants to love her and take care of her. Now she has to come to terms with letting someone else care for her, she’s been on her own for so long and taking care of herself, she’s afraid to open her heart and her wounds. I love the book and give it a 5-star review. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series and really any next book by Andi Rhodes, she’s an awesome writer and draws you in with her great characters.

Review of šŸ”„Burn With Me: Whiskey and SmokešŸ”„ Book 2 by Olivia Monroe

āļøāļøāļøāļø 4 out of 5

Burn With Me starts off right where Burn For Me ended. Lillian is in the hospital following the attack and is unsure that her mind is correct in what she remembers. The one thing that stands out to her is that her savior was not a human, but a dog and she needs to find it because she’s sure he needs a home.

Zach is beside himself when he walks into the hospital room and sees Lillian laying the bed. She is battered and bruised and he’s not sure what else happened, but he’s determined to protect her and find the attacker.

This was a good book, but I think I liked the first one more, only because the story was more centered on the development of the relationship. This book was more focused on Lillian and her attacker as well as her coming to terms with what happened and what she remembers. When the relationship moves forward these two have a lot to discuss to overcome their pasts and the hurt, they’ve both experienced due to their ex’s. I enjoyed the story and I love Whiskey and Smoke. I give the book a 4-star review.

Review of šŸ’œą®‡Ā INTO the DARKą®‡šŸ’œ Royal Bastards MC Liverpool, UK Chapter @JessicaAmes #RoyalBastardsMC

āļøāļøāļøāļø 4 out of 5

A night out on the town with her best friend turns into a nightmare for Marleigh and Ellie. Marleigh wants to be strong, but the circumstances surrounding her make it hard. Ellie is the strong one this time. While Marleigh finds her way free, she won’t rest until she can find Ellie and make sure that she is free too. The trouble is that it’s taking too long to find her and after two years, Marleigh is getting tired and frustrated. She’s put herself in a dangerous position, and when Machete offers to help her, she’s not sure she can trust him, it’s been too long since she’s had anyone she could trust.

Machete and his brothers have been looking for those in the skin trade and have a lead. When they walk into the Russian owned night club looking for information, they aren’t there very long before they’re escorted to the owner’s office. Andrei Petrov is only the tip of the iceberg that the RBMC will have to deal with. When the Liverpool Chapter calls the National Chapter and speaks with Jameson, they find out that they aren’t the only ones dealing with ridding their city of these bottom feeders.

I love the RBMC books and all of the chapter’s interconnect, but carry their own stories, characters, and dangers. I love the characters and the stories in this chapter as much as I do the other chapters. Machete and Marleigh have to learn to trust and lean on each other if they are going to come out on top and Machete knows that he will do anything to help Marleigh as well as protect her. I would suggest that reading the books in order will be beneficial as the stories interconnect and are easier to follow after reading the prior book. I give this book a 4-star review and look forward to more RBMC books to come.
