Review of Seer: Ruthless Kings MC: NOLA, Book 2 by K. L. Savage @klsavage_author

Seer: A Ruthless Kings MC Novel (Ruthless Kings MC: NOLA Book 2)Seer: A Ruthless Kings MC Novel by K.L. Savage
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Seer’s story has been one of the Ruthless Kings MC I have been wanting to read. Like Tongue, he’s played a huge part in most of the books in the Ruthless Kings MC series. His story was an unexpected emotional read.

Seer has always been able to help is brothers even in the other chapters when he has a vision, but now that vision is causing him pain and he’s worried about his place in the club. Will he have to move on like he did from his family? His brothers will find out a lot more about Seer, and the surprise they have coming will lead them on a dangerous path.

Victoria wants what her mother was after, but she is determined to gain that medallion and cement her place in the voodoo community, but will she be successful? This mission that Mama sent her on is another test she has to pass to get there. However, she is not prepared for the way Seer makes her feel.

I loved this story, even though it was so emotional. Victoria is a great heroine in this story and even though she’s awkward, she’s smart and strong, a great match for Seer. I am excited for more of the Ruthless Kings MC, NOLA chapter to come and I give this book a 5-star review.

Review of Tank: The Moonshine Task Force Special Edition, Book 2 by Laramie Briscoe

Tank (Special Edition): A friends-to-lovers, sunshine/grumpy small town romance. (The Moonshine Task Force: Special Edition Series Book 2)Tank (Special Edition): A friends-to-lovers, sunshine/grumpy small town romance. by Laramie Briscoe
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I forgot how emotional this story was until I got into it again. The emotional scars that remain on a soul when we come across something that burns itself into our souls is real. Tank and Blaze both have to live with those scars and try to manage their lives without letting those scars burn too brightly or take away the joy and love that they can have.

I loved Tank and Blaze’s story. The MTF are a family, and if you part of that family you are lucky soul. These men and women always have each others backs, and if one is hurt they all hurt. This is an emotional story for a few reasons, but it is such a beautiful story. I loved the additional story at the end even though it tore my heart out. It also showed that the kids that grow up within this family are smart, kind, and strong just like their parents, and they can be strong for the adults as well.

Review of Dare’s Doll (Pagan Souls of Cherokee MC, Book 2) by Ciara St. James

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5

Whew! These Pagan Souls are some sexy men that make me want to read so much more. Dare’ Doll is just as steamy, sexy, awesome as Agony’s was. I love the fun, sexy, dangerous men that are the Pagan Souls MC, and the sassy, sexy, strong women they find as their soul mates. They may joke around and have fun, but make no mistake, if someone they care about is in trouble, they can become the dangerous men that they are and show now mercy.

When their sister chapter in Lake Oconee calls and asks for help, Dare is one of the men to go lend a hand. Dare being the VP of the Cherokee chapter, he heads to Lake Oconee with a few others to see what they need help with. When he meets the one that they are trying to protect, Joli, the cousin to one of the members, he finds that his temptation is being tested. One comment by her cousin Chaos, and Dare stakes his claim, but things are going to get rough before they can find their happily ever after.

I love Ciara St. James’ books and her characters. She writes, funny, sexy, dark, dangerous, protective men, and sassy, sexy, strong, independent women that bring them to their knees. Dare’s Doll is no exception to that. Joli is a strong woman that is not afraid to stand her ground, but when she is threatened and no one knows who is behind it, the two clubs work together to keep her safe and protected, however, the danger is closer than they ever expected. I loved this book and give it a 5-star review.

Review of Own Me: Masters of Corsica, Book 1 by Jane Henry

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5

Another great book by Jane Henry, and a great start to a new series. Fabien Gerard is a man that owns many businesses. His family is well known by name for their control and rule as a Mafia family. Fabien is the eldest Gerard and the one in charge. He has two brothers that he works with. When one brother is in trouble the other two will do what is needed to get him back and protect the family.

Nicolette is in need of money and decides to work as a high-class call girl in Corsica, not knowing who she’s working for. She needs enough for her and her sister to live and make a life on. When she finds herself in danger with one of her customers the man that comes to the rescue will become more to her than she expects. When Fabien asks her to accompany him to his cousins wedding as his plus one, she begins to wonder if his interest is real or if he’s obsessed with her.

I really love Jane Henry’s books and this new series looks to be another great one. I loved the characters and the story. I love how she interconnects characters from other series’ too in her books. I love the grumpy men of the Gerard family and can’t wait for more of them. As with all of Jane Henry’s books, there is a lot of suspense, danger, action, and dark, sexy, broody Alpha holes that need to be brought down a few pegs. It looks like the women in this series will be the perfect ones to do it too. I loved the story and the characters, and I give the book a 5-star review.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ 4.5-Star Review of Second Chance Protector by Lacey Kendrick

Second Chance Protector: A Secret Baby Single Dad Enemies-to-Lovers RomanceSecond Chance Protector: A Secret Baby Single Dad Enemies-to-Lovers Romance by Lacey Kendrick
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

He broke her heart and now he’s back in her life. Can she protect her heart and keep her secret? Will they have a chance to work things out, or will the person threatening Cece succeed in keeping her from finding out who is behind the danger lurking in the high school that she works in?

Jon left her because he felt as though she drifted away, and their relationship was not as solid as he thought. She had her sights set on her career and he was the one suffering, so he left and regretted it every day for years.

She finally has her career and a life that she is proud of, but she knows that there is something missing. Her life isn’t perfect, but it’s okay. When the kids in her high school start coming to her to talk about a new drug being sold on campus, she knows that she has to find out who the person is behind it, but is she just walking into trouble again like she did years ago? Cece knows that her brother can help her, so she reaches out to him, but his idea of help is bringing her ex back into her life.

I really enjoyed this book of a second chance with the only person each of the main characters has ever loved. It’s full of action, suspense, secrets, deception, surprises, and two people that should have never split up. There are a lot of people that could be the distributor of the new drug, and the story will keep you wondering until almost the end. The danger lurking for the students kept me on edge wondering who would be next, and who the dealer was. I was shocked at the outcome, but I loved that is was not so easy to figure out. I give this book a 4.5-star review.

Review of Riding Home: The Perished Riders MC by Nicola Jane

Riding Home (The Perished Riders MC - Prequel)Riding Home by Nicola Jane
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

It’s time to go home and take his rightful place.

Kilian Maverick was born to be the president of The Perished Riders, but he and his father couldn’t see eye to eye on much, so he took the chance to go out on the road and live his life as he wanted, until the day he received a call to say his father was dead. Now he’s headed home to deal with that and see what happened.

The club is in disarray and Maverick has to find out what’s been going on and how he can fix it. When he’s voted in as the new president, he’s not happy at first, but neither is his father’s VP. I enjoyed this story of Maverick, it was a quick read and left me hanging on a few things, but they should be cleared up in reading Maverick. I’ll have to catch up on reading the series as soon as I can find time. I give this book a 4-star review. I enjoy Nicola Jane’s stories and I love her characters.

Review of A Book To Die For by Jennifer S. Alderson – Included in A Bookworm of a Suspect Anthology

A Bookworm of a Suspect (A Cozy Mystery Tribe Anthology, #6)A Bookworm of a Suspect by Verena DeLuca
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A Book to Die For by Jennifer S. Alderson

A cozy murder mystery that brought me back to my days of reading Agatha Christie Murder Mystery’s.

Camelia Festoon, also known as the Baroness, works with Carmen in the Rosewood Agency searching for and verifying missing antique objects. So when they get the opportunity to locate and verify a missing prayer book, they go to a mansion in Italy.

Carmen has been retired from the job for three years and is just starting to get back into it on this job with the Baroness. However, this job turns into more than either of them expected and now they have to solve a different kind of mystery, who murdered the host and took the five of the valuable historical prayer books?

I enjoyed this story, and the Baroness and Carmen are wonderful characters. Since I haven’t read a cozy mystery in years, this story brought me back to my youth and it was fun guessing who the murderer was and why they did it. There were a few candidates, but in the end, they murderer was apprehended, and they mystery solved. It was a quick read and I enjoyed it. I give the story a 4-star review. This was my first reading of a Jennifer S. Alderson book, and I liked her writing style and her story telling.

Review of Renegade: (Special Edition): The Moonshine Task Force Series, Book 1 by Laramie Briscoe @LaramieBriscoe

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5

Pew pew!!

Oh My!!!

I read Renegade when it first came out, the original, and I loved it. Renegade was one of my favorites in the Moonshine Task Force Series. With the Special Edition, that hasn’t changed. I love Whitney and her pearl grabbing personality and her love of Alabama football. She’s a great character and add in Ryan “Renegade” and you have a perfect match. He’s a man that will do anything to make Whitney happy and he loves her very deeply.

If you’ve read the original Renegade, you will love this Special Edition. It has a great short story added, as well as the text messages. I loved the Thanksgiving debacle. These women are tough, sweet, southern, and the perfect match for the men they love. Ms. Briscoe does a great job writing the characters that fit together as well as their stories of finding, fighting for, and keeping that one person that makes them whole. I can’t wait to read the remaining books in the Special Editions to come. I give Renegade: Special Edition a 5-star review.

Meet S. Cole

The tattoo across my right hip says it all really. A Life Less Ordinary. Inked by the amazingly talented Luke Wessman at the Wooster Street Social Club (a.k.a. New York Ink). Why is it important? Well, it sums up my view on life. That we should all aspire to live a life that is less boring, less predictable. Be bold, and do something amazing. I’ve made some crazy choices. I’ve been a car maker, a consultant, and even a senior executive at a large retailer running strategy.

Born in England, spent time in the U.S. and Japan, before ending up in Canada where I met my own, personal hero – all six and a half feet of him. Both of us are scorpios! Yeah, I know! Should have checked the astrological signs earlier, but somehow it works for us. We have two amazing kids, who I either could never part with or could easily be convinced to sell on e-bay.

I’ve wanted to be a writer for a really long time. Check through my office cupboards or my computer and you’ll find half written stories and character descriptions everywhere. Now I’m getting the chance to follow that dream.

MY REVIEW: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 out of 5

Clutch and Gwen’s story is full of secrets, betrayal, danger, and strong characters.

Clutch has risen to VP because of a tragedy within the club. He is true to his club and would do anything for his President, and best friend. When the past comes back and danger lurks, Clutch has to make a tough decision and the only thing he knows for sure is that he will protect Gwen with everything he has, even it if means his last breath.

Gwen was taken from the Iron Outlaws MC when she was thirteen. She had no idea what was going on or why she and her mother had to leave. She felt as though she was being ripped in half because she was leaving her father and her twin, and best friend. Living under a new name, she and her mother left and were under protection, but no one really knows what the catalyst was for the night that changed everything. Or is there someone that does, and they are orchestrating the danger now?

I really liked this story. Clutch is a great character that is true to himself as well as his club, but when he learns who is behind the tragedy that has befallen his club and his best friend, he’s afraid that he will lose everyone he cares about in the worst way possible, being voted out of his club. Gwen has nowhere to go after an attempt on her life and the successful attempt on her mother’s life, but she believes that finding her father will be the best route. Little does she know that she’s walking into the viper’s den and more danger. The book is action packed, and hard to put down. I loved it and I can’t wait for the second book in the series to come out. I give this book a 4-star review.
