Brooke Summers is an USA Today Bestselling Author. A Londoner born and raised. She lives with her husband and their daughter. She’s a foul mouthed, dirty minded weirdo. An introvert and would rather spend the night in front of the fire reading, rather than going out and partying.
Wow! This book was not what I was expecting. I was expecting a Thriller/Suspense, which is what I got, but I was not ready for Cade Bohannan or his boys, Jason, and Jesse, or his daughter Celeste. Delphine Larue was a great surprise as well. Celeste was a sweet girl that was in need of a woman to treat her like someone that was wanted and happy to have her around.
I loved these characters and the story. This was my first read by Kristen Ashley, and I was a little disappointed in the beginning because it was a slow start, but once it got going it was a fantastic read. I loved the slow burn, even if it did frustrate me at first. I loved the connection with the Bohannan family had with Delphine Larue. The main characters were fantastic, and the side characters were just as entertaining and enjoyable to read.
I love a suspense story that keeps me guessing through the book until the suspect is revealed. It makes for a much better read and Kristen Ashley accomplished that with The Girl in the Mist. I would love to read more about the characters in Misted Pines, especially Megan and Kimmy. These characters were endearing and entertaining. I give this story a 5-star review and will be watching for more books, to hopefully come out in the near future of the Misted Pines characters

The mysterious Cade Bohannan.
Excerpt
I called Hawk Delgado.
It was no surprise this situation in Misted Pines was known to him. He was tasked with keeping me safe, and although this had nothing to do with me, it had to do with Misted Pines, and that was where I was. It was also not a surprise that he currently did not have any resources to devote to assisting with it.
However, he gave me two names.
Nightingale Investigations, an outfit located where Delgado was, in Denver, Colorado.
And Tanner Layne, a private investigator who worked out of a shop in Brownsburg, Indiana, which was, to my astonishment, where Joe Callahan was based.
Neither were close.
But Nightingale was closer.
Though for reasons I didn’t understand (they probably had to do with Callahan), I called Layne first, left a message as it was the weekend and waited.
It was not long before he returned my call.
He had a full caseload, but said he’d look into it and get back to me.
I then reached out to Denver, leaving another message.
Not much time passed before a woman named Shirleen Jackson got in touch, saying she’d assessed it and presented it to her boss, the man behind the name, Lee Nightingale. She would follow up with me as soon as he’d made his decision.
Within hours, I had two replies.
Layne: “We’re ready to roll when we receive word from the investigator on site that he welcomes assistance. We have a message to him. But if he doesn’t give us the greenlight, I’m afraid at this time we can’t get involved. I hope you understand. I would feel the same if someone I didn’t know pushed into one of my investigations, especially at this early juncture. Trust me when I say that it’s never helpful.”
I didn’t know who “we” was, I also didn’t ask, but I suspected he’d consulted with Callahan.
I also didn’t think this was “early.” At that point, she’d been missing nearly a week.
Which begged the question, what parents had a slumber party for their eight-year-old on a Monday evening?
I didn’t ask Layne that either.
Jackson: “We understand your concern, but Lee looked into things and the investigator contracted to assist the local authorities is second to none. In this kind of situation, although it seems contradictory, more hands on deck can make a mess.”
That was two nos of the same ilk.
I decided to focus on the “second to none” comment, knowing they were referring to the fact it was clear the locals had called Cade Bohannan in.

Half past thirty and still single, my father rode my ass daily about getting married, starting a family, and looking the part. I needed to soften my enforcer image and have the outward appearance that I was on the straight and narrow.
When I argued that I wasn’t ready to settle down, he explained that no one ever was, and none of them ever did…with a wink. I laughed, until I thought about my mother. I might be a tough guy in a dangerous world, but I wanted a woman who could handle me at my worst and positively adore me at my best. Was that so much to ask of a wife?
There’d only ever been one girl who came close to that: Marla. She was plenty tough herself. She had to be. She grew up in the world, as well. And when she came to me asking for help to avenge her brother’s death, I was more than happy to help . . . for a price.
Marriage. To me. A mafia capo . . . the very thing she swore she’d never do.
Heartless Sinner is the first book in the Made for the Mafia series. Each book in the series stands alone and ends in a guaranteed HEA.

A.K. Evans is a contemporary romance author of over twenty published novels. While she enjoys writing a good romantic suspense novel, Andrea’s favorite books to write have been her extreme sports romances. That might have something to do with the fact that she, along with her husband and two sons, can’t get enough of extreme sports.
Before becoming a writer, Andrea did a brief stint in the insurance and financial services industry and managed her husband’s performance automotive business. That love of extreme sports? She used to drive race cars!
When Andrea isn’t writing, she can be found homeschooling her two sons, doing yoga, snowboarding, reading, or traveling with her family. She and her husband are currently taking road trips throughout the country to visit all 50 states with their boys.

One moment in time changed the course of our lives…
For over two decades, I vow to find her.
I’m locked up.
Full of rage.
Obsessed with remembering every detail about her.
When I get out, I scour the Earth.
Relentlessly.
Mercilessly.
I know she’s out there.
I can still feel her, my firefly glowing in the dark.
I’ll never stop until she’s back in my arms.
Relentless Hunter is the tenth and final jaw-dropping installment of the Mafia Wars series and part of the O’Malley saga. It’s a second chance Dark Mafia romance, interconnecting stand-alone, and guaranteed to have an HEA.
“Don’t look now, but the guy in the dark corner wants to sample you for every meal.”
I freeze. “What are you talking about? Where?”
“Don’t look. At the end of the bar, toward the door.”
I spin in my chair, and my heart skips several beats. Butterflies spread their wings and take off inside me, making my head spin.
“I said not to look!” Kim shrieks. I ignore her, unable to comprehend anything. Standing against the wall, intensely pinning his gaze on me, is a tall, built man. His T-shirt stretches across his chest in perfection, taunting the world with his ripped flesh. He has a chiseled face, and unlike Brad’s clean-cut, country-club, frat-boy appearance, this man has a dangerous flair. Tattoos travel down his arm. One peeks out of his T-shirt, as if the artist took a brush and dragged the strokes to the middle of his neck.
Another good-looking man approaches him and hands him a drink. He takes it, keeps his eyes on mine, says nothing to his friend, and comes toward me.
Every step he takes makes it harder for me to breathe. By the time he gets to our table, I’m holding in the oxygen, and my heart races. The air around me becomes so electric, my skin buzzes. No one else seems to exist except us.
His lips slightly curl. He places his hand on the back of the chair next to me. The sexiest voice I’ve ever heard asks, “Lass, is this seat taken?”

She’s been called the “literary master of steamy romance.” Her books are full of raw emotion, suspense, and will always keep you wanting more. She is a masterful storyteller of contemporary romance and loves writing about broken people who rise above the ashes.
Maggie lives in Florida with her son. She loves sunshine, anything to do with water, and everything naughty.
Her current series were written in the order below:
All In (Stand alones with entwined characters)
It’s Complicated (Stand alones with entwined characters)
Together We Stand (Brooks Family Saga – read in order)
He’s waited 20 years to hold her again and he won’t let anything, or anyone get in his way. He’s a hunter by nature and after they are separated due to circumstances beyond their control, he won’t rest until he finds her again and keeps her safe.
Finn O’Malley was a man that worked in the family business doing as he was told and trained to do. He had girlfriends, but nothing very serious. While he’s out one night with his best friend Maxim Ivanov, he sees a beautiful girl that he can’t seem to ignore. He knows she’s too good for him, but the attraction and pull are too strong to ignore. When tragedy strikes for these two they will be separated for 20 years both not knowing what happened to the other, but that doesn’t mean that their love has died. It seems to remain as strong as ever even after all that they’ve been through.
Brenna Doyle has just said no to the proposal from a man she’s dated for 6 months. She knew that it was not working out, but for some reason he didn’t see it or acknowledge that their relationship was one sided. To celebrate being single again, Brenna and her roommate go out to a fairly new club in town. However, Brenna is not ready for the man that comes over to introduce himself. When she finds out who he is she takes a step back but the pull to him is too strong and their life becomes complete when she finally gives in and seeks him out.
I loved this conclusion to The O’Malley Family (Mafia Wars series). Brenna and Finn had to go through so much to finally get their HEA, but their love never wavered. They had a strong connection and no matter what got in their way their love persevered. Tragedy, betrayal, and danger lurked everywhere for these two, but they finally got their HEA. I loved the entire series, and Finn and Brenna’s story was a great anticipated read and a great way to end the Chicago Mafia Wars series. I give this book a 5-star review and I can’t wait for the New York Mafia books to come out. Toxic looks to be a great read as well.
I enjoyed this story of Bane and Demi. They had a complicated relationship, but when it came down to the nitty gritty, they found their way to each other. Their fight against their attraction led Demi to believe that Bane didn’t feel the same as her, but when he showed her that he chose her, she shied away from him, until tragedy struck at the compound and then all bets were off.
I liked the back and forth between these two. Demi is a woman that is not afraid to stand up for what she wants and she does not hold back when has something to say. They had an immediate attraction, but their stubbornness got the best of them. When tragedy struck they had to detour and now they’re looking at a completely new path. I look forward to reading more about this MC and their adventures in the future. It looks to be a great read.
It was months ago and I’m still seeking revenge for Emery. I don’t know why I am in the first place. She’s arrogant, sassy, and always thinks she’s right. Everything about her aggravates me, even the fact she’s doing a job I think only men should.
Yet, why the hell do I even give a damn about her?
I’m still trying to figure out the answer, but I know I want her, even if I can’t stand her. Watching her blood spill on the ground was unlike any other shooting I’ve witnessed.
I’ll find the people responsible for this, one way or another.

From a young age, I followed the rules set for me, being the good girl and never wanting to feel the painful sting of rejection. I thought all my wishes had come true, but everything changed in an instant, and I was forced to see the harsh and ugly realities of life. I ran from everything I knew, vowing a life alone was better than living under the control of others.

The Death Hounds showed me what family was and that loyalty was valued above everything. When I decided to stop running and fight, they stood beside me, proving that family was who you chose.
But then he betrayed me and sent me back down a path of dark nightmares and into a life of silence. Now, he’s fighting for both of us, showing me that his words of devotion were true. When he discovers the secrets I’ve been carrying, will he still see me the same, or will he push me away and force me back into solitude?
