Omen was happy that he took the offer from his buddy Executioner to move to Tenillo, Texas and join the Ares Infidels. He needed a new start after his injury on an op, and the military decided he needed to take a medical retirement. His only family was distant cousins, and he was ready for a new start in life. The first time he met Jackie he knew that it was the right choice to move to Tenillo.

Jackie is a mother of three and the mother in-law of Executioner, and soon to be a grandmother. Why would any man want to spend their time getting to know her and spend their life with her? Her first husband didn’t even want that. Why would a man that is younger want her? She’s still a beautiful woman, but she’s not looking for a man to spend the rest of her life with. She’s had her chance and things didn’t end up well for her.

I love these characters. The way that the guys always know what to say or do to make the men that have fallen make their move. Cap and Jackie are friends, but Omen is not a man that wants to see them talking, laughing, hugging, or even being friendly. Cap knows how to make Omen finally take the plunge and show Jackie that he’s interested, but it could cause so many problems with the club and their friends, the Time Served club. I love the men and the women in these books. The men are tough, dangerous, and always trying to keep their women in line, but the women “the coven” are not easy to keep in line. They have their own way of doing things and this book really showed that. I loved all of it. I give this book a 5-star review and I am so looking forward to Cap being brought to his knees.
