Being the oldest of the Garo family, Edon has taken over the running of the businesses since his father has retired. Edon is happy with being the head of the family and has no intentions of marrying yet. However, his father has other ideas. With one brother in a polyamorous relationship the oldest Tirana brother, and the Tirana Syndicate keeping them down in America with their holdings, Edon has enough to worry about and adding finding a wife is not a top priority.
Adriel Tirana wants nothing to do with marrying into the Syndicate and especially not to a Garo. However, the agreement between her father and Edon’s father years ago has put her on that track. She didn’t want anything to do with being married to any Syndicate man, but the pressure from her father and mother along with the pressure from Edon’s father leaves her no choice.
I liked Edon and Adriel’s story. The meddlesome fathers and the history of Syndicate betrothals put Edon and Adriel at odds, but when they decide that they need to work together to overcome the situation, they find that there is an attraction. The Garo and Tirana family go back a way and these two will have to find a way to appease their families and still be independent. I give this book a 4-star review and look forward to the next books in the trilogy.

Sariah has secrets. I can see it in her eyes. There’s a sadness that swirls within them, a fear of what we’re doing. I want to know who put that look on her face and protect her from it. I will burn the world to ashes to keep her safe.
But when the truth is revealed, and I learn she is being forced to wed a man who has a reputation darker than my own, I realise how much danger Sariah is in. I’m not sure the might of the Fraser crime family will be enough to save her life.
She was promised to a monster but was determined to have her fist experience be of her choosing. Sariah has never had a choice in anything to do with her life. After tragically losing her mother due a dangerous secret, Sariah is raised by a man that has no affection for her and only kept her to use as tool for himself and for power within his territory.
Lucas Fraser is no stranger to arranged marriages or women, but when he meets a sexy, innocent looking woman at the club he can’t deny the interest he has for her. He expects it to be a one night and done, but he can’t seem to get her out of his head and since he doesn’t know who she is, he has no way of finding other than return to the club and hope she returns as well.
The Fraser’s are a powerful family and what they want they get. The kids were raised to rule, and do as they are told by their parents, thus making them all despise their parents and hating to have to do their bidding. When Lucas’s parents want to gain more power and find out that another mafia family is looking to gain power by marrying into a gang to gain strength and hopefully overpower the Fraser’s. When the Fraser’s decided to derail their plans Lucas and Sariah find themselves in a no-win situation, or do they? I love this story and this author. I was introduced to Lucas and the Fraser’s in the Untamed Son’s series, and I love that series as well. The Fraser’s are a dangerous crime family and will go to any extent to keep their power and territory. I give this book a 5-star review and can’t wait for more of the Fraser’s Crime Syndicate.

Jessica Ames lives in a small market town in the Midlands, England. She lives with her dog and when she’s not writing, she’s playing with crochet hooks.
Bender, the VP of the Steel Scorpions MC works at their club the Heist. They have worked to keep their legitimate businesses successful and running smoothly. When a high-profile client is poisoned as well as his escort, things go downhill really quickly for Bender and the Steel Scorpions.
Aria is a fresh college graduate trying to get her name known and her reporting of stories rather than sitting at a desk acting like a receptionist for a small news agency. She’s nosey, biased, and determined to do what she wants and get a story no matter what the cost, the only trouble is that when she is caught by not only one MC, but two MCs, her life is put in danger. The second MC, the Devils Rage MC is a rival MC to the Steel Scorpions and when they catch Aria snooping around the Steel Scorpions could lose everything they’ve been working towards.
I really liked this start to a new MC series and can’t wait to read more in the series. The characters are great, and the story was action packed, intense, and interesting. When Bender meets Aria and tries to keep her at a distance things go crazy and their attraction wins out over their common sense and loyalty. I give this story a 5-star review and I am looking forward to Angel next and can’t wait to read all of the books in the series.
A nomad, Warp has no roots and no attachments, until he becomes a godfather and then his heart begins to melt for the boys that adore him. His past taught him not to trust or become attached, but now he can’t help himself, and when the godmother gets drunk and kisses him, his walls really begin to crumble around his heart.
She is a southern bell but living in California now and making her own way. Jess owns her own business and decides to follow her best friend to California and open a second store there so they could be close. When Whitney and Bolton start a family, Whitney asks her best friend Jess to be the godmother, and of course she agrees.
Jess and Warp couldn’t be more different, but the attraction between them is off the charts as is the pull they have. Unable to fight it any longer, Warp decides to take a chance and stick around in one location, but an undercover gig that he does for the Kings of Chaos almost goes really bad and he is left with a lot of questions regarding the club and his desire to stay with the chapter. I enjoyed this story and found the characters to be entertaining and likable. This was my first book in this series, but I was not too lost when I started it. Ms. Colt wrote so that she covered the background story for how Warp and Jess met. It was also my first read of a book by Shyla Colt. It was a good read and great characters and I give it a 5-star review.
I’ve been searching for Mrs. Plaid Man my whole life, but I always miss out. I’m the Big Slick, so close to winning, but another hand always wins. I’m too slow to react. That’s how I missed out on a relationship with Lindsey, and part of the reason I had to move to this small town. But now I think I’ve finally found her. But she doesn’t seem to remember me, no matter how many times I talk to her. And let me tell you, there’s only so many times a man can get his ass kicked by a woman.
I’m a stay at home mom that loves to read. Some of my favorite titles are Pride and Prejudice, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and Horatio Hornblower. I started writing when I was trying to come up with suggestions on ways I could help bring in some extra money. I came up with the idea that I could donate plasma because you could earn an extra $500/month. My husband responded with, “No. Find something else. Write a blog. Write a book.” I didn’t think I had anything to share on blog that a thousand other mothers hadn’t already thought of. I decided to take his challenge seriously and sat down to write my first book, Jack. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed writing. From there, the stories continued to flow and I haven’t been able to stop. I hope my readers enjoy my books as much as I enjoy writing them. Between reading, writing, and taking care of three small kids, my days are quite full.

Review of The Big Slick: A Small-Town Romance (A Good Run of Bad Luck, Book 7) by Giulia Lagomarsino
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5
I loved Plaid Man’s story. Poor guy was beaten down at every turn, but he finally found his footing and figured out that the woman for him was there all along, all he had to do was man up, stop mistaking his girl for her sisters, and realize that what they have is forever.
I really love Giulia Lagomarsino’s books. She has a great way of telling a story and bringing out the authenticity of the characters. They are funny, flawed, kind, generous, and real. I loved this story of Jake and Elle finding their way to each other and Elle’s family was hilarious. I loved that the Cortell brothers showed up in this book a bit more too. It was entertaining to read about another crazy family, crazier than the Cortell’s, I think. This book was a fun read, but also had some heartbreaking moments too. I loved it and I am looking forward to more stories by Giulia Lagomarsino to come. I will always buy her books and devour them. I give this story a 5-star review.
BLURB: Death before dishonor. It’s the most important rule and the easiest to break. Riding with the Knightdale Charter isn’t my first choice. But home is where you go when you leave your heart in a pine box. Grief is like a magnet, and I’m surrounded by shadows. Living life among the darkness, just like her. She’s buried an even bigger piece of herself than I have. And all she wants is to finally find the light. If we had any sense at all, we’d steer clear of each other. But I’d rather feel anything than nothing at all. Ashes to ashes and dust to dust. When is it love and not just lust? Don’t ask me. I’m a disgrace no matter what.
About Janine USA Today bestselling author Janine Infante Bosco lives in New York City, she has always loved reading and writing. When she was thirteen, she began to write her own stories and her passion for writing took off as the years went on. At eighteen, she even wrote a full screenplay with dreams of one day becoming a member of the Screen Actors Guild.
Janine writes emotionally charged novels with an emphasis on family bonds, strong willed female characters, and alpha male men who will do anything for the women they love. She loves to interact with fans and fellow avid romance readers like herself.
She is proud of her success as an author and the friendships she’s made in the book community but her greatest accomplishment to date would be her two sons Joseph and Paul.
He’s the brother to the President of the North Carolina Chapter of Satan’s Knights MC, but they aren’t close as brothers. In fact, Shady feels as though his brother has always found everything wrong with what he has done. They’ve had a rocky sibling relationship for years and things have just jumped higher when Bianca returns and wants to know where her daughter has been buried.
Bianca and Ghost didn’t have a loving relationship, they had a daughter together and tried to be together for her, but when tragedy struck these two, their lives fell apart and Ghost is not able to find a way to let Bianca heal. Ghost went down a dark path while Bianca tried to recover on her own only to be beat down at every turn.
This was a very emotional story, but such a great story to be told and read. No one is listening to Bianca’s side, and she’s been cast away to fend for herself, when she returns to the club house for answers to lay her pain to rest, Shady tries to keep his loyalty to his brothers, but his attraction to Bianca has never wavered. These two have a long road to healing and finding common ground, but Shady is determined to have Bianca this time and listen to her side of the story. In doing so, he puts himself on the outs with his club, that is until he makes them listen and understand. I loved this story and characters in this series are always terrific. Bianca has to be convinced that she is worth loving and Shady is the man to convince her. I give this story a 5-star review and I can’t wait for more stories from Janine Infante Bosco, she’s an awesome author and storyteller.
He’s the rookie of the Bradford Station. His family is local, and his mother’s family is a founding family of the town, but Danny Ramirez and his family are not recognized as a founding family. He has some things to overcome where his family lineage is concerned, but he’s a good man, and on his way to being a great firefighter. He’s been warned to stay away from the Chief’s daughters. All of the men of the Bradford Station have been warned.
When Chief Hudson realizes that her heart is still set on Bradford, Tennessee, she moves back home after graduating college. Hayden Hudson’s father is there, and her sister is not far away. She’s heading home. The only trouble is that she has some car troubles on her way, and no one has stopped to help her, until a very sexy firefighter stops and helps her out. This leads to some steamy texting and a relationship that her father will not approve of. Good thing Danny Ramirez is a man that is willing to stand up for what he wants.
This was a great start to a new series by Laramie Briscoe. An author that knows how to write some sexy, public servants and the women that lock them down. I loved Hayden and Danny and I am looking forward to more of the Bradford Station series. Laramie Briscoe always has such great characters and story lines, and I can’t wait to see where she goes with this series. I think Chief Hayden needs a story of his own. I give this book a 5-star review.
I loved Romeo and Orlando’s stories, but I have to say that Octavio “Tavi” was my favorite. He is a man that decided to keep his heart barricaded and never to be soft on a woman that he marries. However, he wasn’t ready for Elise Regazza, like he thought he was. She was his prisoner and payment for her father’s betrayal to the Rossi family. She should have been his brother’s, but due to betrayal and two women pulling a fast one, she is now to be his wife.
Determined to never soften towards her, Tavi finds that his heart isn’t as black or hard as he thought. He thought no one would want to stick around and that he was a terrible man when his first betrothed decided that she would not be married to a Rossi. That hit him harder than anyone realized. I loved Tavi, he is hard, but when he let his guard down and finally let Elise in he has such a huge heart and is such a wonderful man.
This story has so many twists and there is betrayal as well. I love the characters, story, and I am looking forward to more of the Rossi men, and women. I love Nonna. I am really looking forward to Mario’s story.
I love these women that run their all-female MCs in different locations. They are just as strong, smart, sexy, and dangerous as the men of The RBMCs. An anthology by 12 wonderful authors that bring you a club of women that work together to bring down those that traffic women, children and others. They are ruthless, strong, sassy, beautiful, and very determined.
I loved all of these stories and the characters in each chapter. I have loved the RBMC since the beginning and the continuous stories that come out, and the added Royal Harlots has added more great characters to such a great MC series. I love the strength, determination, and the way that the chapters, both the Royal Harlots and the RBMC work together for a better outcome.
I give this anthology a 5-star review and suggest that if you are looking for an MC with some strong, independent women, then you will love this anthology.
The adopted son and Sovietnik to Marko Juric, Sven Kokot knows that he has to do his part for the family by marrying. However, he never thought he would be blindsided into the marriage. His bride to be is not happy about the arrangement and she’ll fight as hard as she can to avoid the marriage. She’s the niece of Ivan Sever, the head of the Sever crime family. The Sever and Juric crime families have a truce and to make it stronger a marriage is put forth.
When Sven’s betrothed comes to the alter, she is fighting her uncle, but she also looks pained. When Sven finds out why, he is angry. He may not want this marriage either, but he will not stand by and let anyone hurt what is his. Sven has a lot of obligations to his family; above all he must obey his Pakhan’s orders and when he keeps putting things off, he finds himself in danger from his adoptive father and Pakhan.
Ema Sever’s father took her and her sisters away from the family business, so they’ve been living their lives in Alaska, until she was taken from her family and told that she was to be married, tomorrow. She has a few reasons why she doesn’t want to leave her family and be married, but no one has listened or believed her in the past so now she will have to find a way to get back home to her sisters.
I really liked this story, and the characters were great. The story drew me in from the beginning and help onto me until the end. The betrayal, twists, and secrets only added to the story and Sven and Ema had a lot to overcome. I give the story a 4-star review and I look forward to Josip’s story next.
I read lots of books, from mythology retellings to literary fiction and I love to reread books from childhood, this is a place to voice my thoughts for fun. I also like to ramble about things such as art or nature every now and again.
