BLURB
Marriages are meant to be sacred but when an arranged marriage turns bloody a war is started.
Makenna Gallagher’s life is anything but ordinary. After experiencing something traumatic her life changes and not for the better. When she meets the man that she is expected to marry she knows that keeping her secrets is only going to get harder.
When Dante Bianchi sees his wife-to-be, he’s surprised. She doesn’t look anything like the sweet and innocent fourteen year old who he had agreed to marry five years ago. He looks forward to making her his.
When their wedding ends in a gunfight, he’s surprised to see his wife handling a gun with ease and when he watches her kill a man he doesn’t know whether to be angry or turned on.
Every family has secrets, but Makenna is drowning in hers. Will she sink or swim when hers turn deadly?
EXCERPT I make my way out the back just in time to see my wife shooting a fucking Russian bastard. Why the hell has she got a gun in her hands? My rage starts to surface again, she’s already been hurt and now she’s just killed a man. Fuck. “Kenna.” Her name is a growl from my lips. Her back stiffens and she turns to glare at me, “You here to help?” Her Irish accent is thicker than I’ve heard it before. My cock starts to stir again, her defiance shouldn’t be a turn on, but it is. “Sure,” I drawl and see her lips turn up before she quells her features. “There’s six out front,” she tells me. “Fucking Finn told me to stay here while he took the men with him. Arsehole.” She shakes her head. “Fuck knows where they’ve gone. Thankfully, Romero isn’t stupid and had a gun.” “Where did you get that one?” I ask her and I’m surprised I’m able to keep my tone even. She raises her brow and shakes her head. “When Romero put a bullet into arsehole number one,” she points to the dead body on the floor beside her, “I picked his gun up and used it on arsehole number two and three. Now, I’ve answered your question and as you can see I’m not going to have a meltdown because I killed someone; wasn’t the first time and certainly won’t be the last. How about we cut the chit chat and get to the car before your brother bleeds to death?” I bite back my chuckle, whereas Romero and Alessio don’t. Fuck, I should hate that she’s not the quiet, shy woman I had expected but I’m not, I’m glad. I don’t want a docile wife, I want someone who’s full of life and looking at Kenna that’s what I’ve got. “Let’s go.” “Atta boy.” Kenna laughs and I shake my head, fuck, how can I want to laugh during a moment like this? “The black Rolls, that’s where we’re heading. Try not to get shot,” she tells me. “Don’t worry, princess, I’ll be fine.” She smirks at me, “Good, you have your husband duties to take care of tonight.” Jesus! My cock twitches at the thought of being inside of her. “Oh, princess, nothing, and I mean nothing will stop me from fucking you tonight.” Her pupils dilate, then she shakes her head and runs out the back door, firing her gun as she does. “I’m going to kill her,” I grunt as I follow behind her.

Title: CapturedAn Everyday Heroes World NovelAuthor: S. NelsonGenre: Contemporary RomanceCover Design: Tugboat DesignRelease Date: January 28, 2021 BLURB To say I survived the unimaginable isn’t exactly accurate, because I didn’t. I’m alive. But I’m not living. I’m existing, clawing my way from one day to the next. My only saving grace is my job as a police officer, and it’s during a routine traffic stop one evening when the threads of my isolated existence begin to unravel. One glance from Quinn Harris and I feel like I’m dreaming. And the more chance brings us together, the more I’m powerless to stop the uneasy feeling that I’m losing control. She stirs up thoughts of something new and unexpected—of a life I’m no longer prepared to handle. *** I’m done with men. I trusted my ex and he broke my heart. But life doesn’t seem to want to follow my plan, which is evident the moment I meet Nolan Bennett. He doesn’t score high on first impressions. In fact, he is downright rude. But as we continue to run into each other, I start to see another side of him, and I can’t deny I’m intrigued. Against my better judgment, I give him a chance. But again, life will step in and take over. Only this time I don’t think either of us will survive. Not with an unknown link between us too painful to overcome. ADD TO GOODREADS
EXCERPT Beautiful weather used to enhance my good moods in the past, but seeing the sun shining brightly, high in the sky, and feeling the warm breeze on the side of my face as I drove only seemed to aggravate me. On the days when it was dark and gloomy, I felt harmony because my surroundings were reflective of the turmoil I constantly battled. I was more at peace when the world appeared desolate. When I finally arrived at the address, I took a moment before I exited my cruiser, calling on whatever hierarchy there was in the universe to give me the strength to complete my task. It’d gotten easier over time to deal with the public, but I still struggled with the interactions, although no one ever detected such a thing. Most just categorized me as an asshole, and I was fine with the assessment. Opening my door, I slid out of my seat and adjusted my duty belt as I rounded the back of the vehicle, flipping on my shades to shield my eyes from the blinding sun. Up ahead, I saw a woman standing in the archway of the complex. If she was aware of my presence, she didn’t show it, so I took the time to assess her, as I did everyone I came into contact with. She was thin, approximately five-six with long dark hair. She wore a black skirt, white top, and black heels. On her left wrist was a silver banded watch. She carried what looked to be a laptop case on her right shoulder. The closer I approached, the more I was able to see more of her, but it wasn’t until she turned to face me that I realized I’d seen her before. The prior evening, in fact. Standing near her now, in the light of day, in a drastically different scenario, a pang of remorse washed over me. To say feeling bad was an oddity for me was an understatement. I hardly ever gave people a second thought, let alone harbored any sense of guilt about my interactions. There was a chance she wouldn’t recognize me as the same officer who pulled her over last night. If that was the case, then I would remain as quiet as possible and get this over with quickly so I could get back to dealing with the rest of my day. Any hope I had that she viewed me as a complete stranger died when her eyes narrowed into slits and the corners of her mouth turned down. “This is just great,” she mumbled loud enough for me to hear, and I didn’t know if it was her tone or the blatant look of disgust on her face from having to stand near me, but a part of me that had been dormant for as long as I could remember flicked back to life during the unpleasant interaction. The moment was fleeting, but I held on to it for as long as possible before it faded into obscurity. The snarkiness in her voice pricked my senses. Everyone else I encountered either left me alone completely or engaged me briefly, their tones restrained and cautious, most likely because of my body language: that and the constant scowl on my face. But the woman standing ten feet from me piqued my curiosity, all while she treated me with an iota of disdain. Now, if she’d only stop glaring at me, I could attempt to make amends for last night.

Luring Light is a part of The Royal Bastards MC Author Collaboration and is book two in the Tampa, FL Series.
She’s lived her life being the good girl, innocent, kind, respectful and where did it get her? Taken from her home and in danger, that’s where. It also was a blessing in disguise because now she can be the person she was meant to be. Ivy has a dark side, but she’s hidden it for years. Now that she’s been taken from her home in Mexico, she can explore what’s been hidden inside her for years and she just has to convince Void that he is the only man for her and that she is not as fragile as he sees her.
Void came from a life where he was taught to treat women as lower than men and not have to show them respect. He was raised to believe that they were only around for breeding, but he escaped that life and has a good life now with his brothers in the RBMC, Tampa, FL chapter. He respects women but he has no emotions inside to share with anyone. Hence his road name, Void. That was until he met Ivy and rescued her. Now he can’t seem to get her out of his head or his heart, but he believes he doesn’t have a heart.
This was a great story with awesome characters. Ivy is a dark, strong, smart, special woman that has Void finding new things out about himself and he is determined to protect her and keep her safe. Ivy just needs to get Void to open up and be honest with her. She loves everything about him, but he’s holding back, and she knows it. I love these two together and their darkness makes them so much better together. I love the RBMC stories and I give this one a 5-star review. If you like strong women, protective men, and action filled books, you will love Luring Light.

Gian Silvestro is the eldest son of the family and because of duty he has to marry the woman that is chosen by his father. Even if it’s the daughter of a man he hates. Now he has to spend his life with someone that he despises just because of her bloodline.
Being the eldest daughter of Emilio Moretti, she is bound by duty and family honor to marry the man that has been chosen for her by her father. Daniela Faye Moretti has to play the part of the loving, happy, doting wife if she was to protect the one person in her life that she loved more than anything. This is a story of an arranged married between two the most powerful mafia families in New York and in order to strengthen their families more, and for Emilio Moretti to gain more power, he chose the eldest son of the Silvestro family for his daughter. Their story is not a story of love but of despise and power changes. Together, they go on the trail of a rogue geneticist who they believe holds the key – not just to the murder, but to something much darker.

Consuming Fire What Has Been Seen Cannot Be Unseen…
Liverpool is in the grip of an intense heatwave, and strange things are happening.

Detective Inspector Darren Swift thinks there are connections, and his investigation delves into the worlds of football, nightclubs and organised crime. But is he imagining things?
Dr. Helen Hope doesn’t think so. And she believes the key lies in a mysterious seventeenth-century occult book which has gone missing from Liverpool Library.
In the blistering sequel to Reprobation, DI Swift is forced to confront some inconvenient ghosts from his past, as a terrifying shadow lies over his city’s reality….

My Reviews for Reprobation, Consuming Fire, and Sound:
REPROBATION: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ 4.5 out of 5
An interesting read for sure! Religion, suspense, Death Metal, and murder all in one book.
Dr. Helen Hope is a professor of eschatology, and a Calvinist nun. Her knowledge in eschatology draws her into a murder investigation when a man is found on a cross with carvings in his body. She’ll discover Death Metal and a new way of thinking about religion and life.
Detective Darren Swift has just been promoted to detective and this is his first big case. He is the detective investigating the murder and he will question his abilities to solve the case as well as the religious meanings behind the murders. He had a rough time in his last position and he isn’t sure yet of how it’s going to be in this new position.
I really enjoyed this book and was drawn into the story quickly. I found the story to be suspenseful, disturbing and interesting. The twists and turns of this story kept me turning the pages. I give this book a 4.5 star review and highly recommend it to anyone likes suspense and thrillers. I kind of hope there is another story with these characters. I’d like to know what happens with Helen, Mikko, and Darren.
CONSUMING FIRE: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5-stars
Wow! This was quite the story. A story of death, destruction, and evil that left me wanting so much more. Liverpool is going through a dangerous heat wave and there are strange incidents happening as well. Detective Inspector Darren Swift is working diligently to find out what is causing the apparent cases of spontaneous combustion, and he will contact his friend Helen, who was a nun until recently.
Dr. Helen Hope was a Calvinist nun until a recent situation had her rethinking her future. She is now working as a Lecturer at the University and enjoys research on religious matter. After DI Swift calls her for help on his new case, she finds herself immersed in another case where her religious knowledge and research lead to the unthinkable and bizarre.
Helen and DI Swift were first introduced to each other in Catherine Fearns first book Reprobation. DI Swift worked with Helen in that case as well. These two have a tendency to work on their own to solve a case as well as with each other. They both have a mindset of wanting to find the truth by and needing to find the truth. They work well together, and they have become close friends.
Consuming Fire is Catherine Fearns second published book and it’s just as good as her first. It is very well written, and it pulled me in from the very beginning of the book and kept my attention throughout the entire story. I will say that I was crushed at the end. I really need more of this story and the conclusion.
I give this story a 5-star review and highly recommend it to anyone who likes police procedural, suspense and the thrill of figuring out who the criminal is, having the pieces of the puzzle fall into place to help the characters find their answers and close a case. In my opinion, this was another great story by Catherine Fearns and I can’t wait to read more.
SOUND: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5-stars
I devoured this book. It pulled me in from the first page and wouldn’t let me go until the end.
I love Ms. Fearns books and find that they make me think and ponder on the subjects and the content of her books. While they are centered around religion they are not books about religion, but about the world around us and how most people ignore what is around them. I found the quote below to be true and eye opening.
“Nowadays we are afraid of silence. We need the constant buzz of television, music, chatter. But I say to you today, do not be afraid of silence, for it is only when we are silent that we can be close to God. Is it any wonder that deaf children were once thought of as angels? For their ears are unsullied by the corrupt sounds of this Earth?”
A story of a detective searching for something to make him feel alive again, a retired nun who teaches theology at a local college, and her love for metal music, and a Swedish metal band that all seem to somehow come together to solve such terrible crimes. They are each from such different worlds, yet they all work so well together.
I really enjoyed reading this book and give it a 5-star review. I highly recommend it to readers who are looking for a story that’s a bit different, but enjoy police procedural, crime, and psychological thrillers. If you are interested in any of these genres, then you really should pick up Sound by Catherine Fearns, but you need to read Reprobation and Consuming Fire first.
He sold his soul to the devil but then he found his Angel in the same day.
Dex “Grim” is now the president of the Tonopah Chapter of the RBMC and he is a dangerous man. All of his MC brothers are dangerous, but he has a little bit more power than they do. When he walks into the Blacktop Bar with his friend and brother Bodie, he is not prepared to see the eyes of his Angel. She’s eighteen years older now, but he would know those eyes no matter what.
Trisha has dreamt of the man that she saw on the side of the road covered in blood since she was ten years old. The man that just walked into the bar where bar tends is sexy and she knows without a doubt that he’s her man. She’s never forgotten him and now that he’s in the same place as her, she’s not sure what to do. She’s had enough trouble in her life to keep her from wanting to add more with the president of an MC. Her stepbrother has proved to her that bikers are not good men, at least not the ones he hangs around with.
This story is full of danger, action, and tragedy that could keep Grim and Trisha from finally finding their way to each other, but determination and circumstances could help with that. The Scorpions MC is a rival MC that has been a thorn in the RBMC’s side in more than one chapter and the danger lurking behind them is just as evil and will be dealt with by the RBMC in the only way they can be dealt with, the Reapers will. I loved this story, and the characters are just as good in this chapter as they are in the other chapters of the RBMC. If you’re a fan of MC books, and are looking for some really good MC reads, the RBMC is a heck of a ride! I give Devil’s Ride a 5-star review and look forward to more RBMC bikers to read.
