I turned around and put a hand to his chest. But he only had eyes for his pop. Still, I said, “Calm down. He didn’t do anything wrong, honey.”
That got me his angry eyes. “He didn’t? Warning you not to betray me isn’t wrong?” He looked past me to his dad, but said, “It isn’t his place to do that shit.”
I rubbed his name patch on his cut. “Isn’t it though? You’ll always be his son, no matter your age. Family looks out for family, ’Nic.”
His chin dipped down and he looked into my eyes. The anger had dissipated. “He doesn’t need to.”
My lips quirked to the side skeptically. “That doesn’t matter. He loves you. It’s what parents do.”
“What’s going on?” Teresa asked as she walked up to us.
“Dad’s overstepping… as usual.”
“He is not,” I whispered.
“I was. I am. And I’ll do it again,” Irv said, clapping Cynic on the bicep.

Let’s see…where to begin…

I’m inching up on the BIG 4-0. The gray hairs are doubling what seems like daily, and the wrinkles and laugh lines are more pronounced than ever.

I have an amazing husband (Married just over 15 years.)

We have two boys we’re doing our best to raise as respectful gentleman.

I have a master’s degree in criminal justice which I used to work as a juvenile probation office until deciding to write full-time in June of 2019. So that means there’s usually always some criminal/law element to my novels.

If I’m not writing; I’m reading.

My favorite genres recently are bully/reverse harem and enemies to lovers. Maybe I’m reliving my traumatic teen years through the girls who actually end up with the boys. (Not that I would change my history since it’s gotten me exactly where I need to be!)

I love coffee. I miss carbs. Music is LIFE. I try not to be too serious.

My Review of Grinch: Cerberus MC Book 20, by Marie James

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5

Cerberus MC doesn’t act on US soil, they are usually on foreign soil when working and rescuing those that have been sold in human slavery, but a case has come across their path involving a young woman that helped them out when she was a little girl, and they can’t let anyone else take this case.

Grinch is surprised when he hears the name of the young woman that was taken because she is his past. The girl that refused him and broke his heart. He thought he knew her so well, but he was mistaken. Now he’s looking for her and wants to save her and protect her, but he has to protect his heart first.

Grace was a child when she first heard of Cerberus MC. She never felt as though she deserved their care or protection. When she is kidnapped right off the street and her dog is left behind, she will fight to save herself because she isn’t sure there is anyone else to do it. Retired from the Navy, she has the training to do it, but will her training really help her? She finds herself in more danger than she bargained for, but when she is free and the man that she let go comes to her hospital room, she feels safe again, but confused.

I love the Cerberus MC books and Grinch was a great addition to the series. He is stubborn though and between Grace and Grinch their stubbornness almost makes them lose each other again. These two will have to communicate if they want to move forward, especially if they want to move forward together. Miscommunication, years of regret, and stubbornness are a recipe for disaster. I love the characters and the story, and I look forward to more of this series. I give this book a 5-star review.

She couldn’t stand it and left without seeking her answers, but she found something, or should I say someone that took her mind off her problems and then when she left, she wanted to take something that would remind her the one-night stand she had and the man that took more than her innocence.

This was another great story in the RBMC, with secrets, betrayal, steam, and rivalries. Coyote and Riley met under the stars, and they must have aligned for them that night because neither one could forget the other and fate has a way of bringing people back together, even if they have to fight for their future. I love the characters in this book and the stories always have steam and action throughout. I love the RBMC, all chapters and look forward to more. I am excited for the fourth run to start. I give this story a 5-star review.

I’m a stay at home mom that loves to read. Some of my favorite titles are Pride and Prejudice, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and Horatio Hornblower. I started writing when I was trying to come up with suggestions on ways I could help bring in some extra money. I came up with the idea that I could donate plasma because you could earn an extra $500/month. My husband responded with, “No. Find something else. Write a blog.
