It’s raw, gritty, and tragic, and it left me wanting more of these characters. I need to know what’s in store for them next. I loved the story, but it was not at all what I was expecting. The characters are sexy, dangerous, and damaged.

I was on the edge of my seat for most of the story waiting to see where the danger would come from next. I love the RBMC books and Sex and Candy did not disappoint. I am ready for more of the Detroit, MI Chapter. I hope these guys get their revenge and their HEA.

Someone whistled at Jake and he walked away, leaving me alone to stare at the man. When he slowly turned his head and looked at me, I didn’t bother looking away, though I may have turned a pale shade of pink.

I tipped my beer at him, getting the same in return. Not knowing what else to do, I flicked my eyes to the screen, though my body was still turned to face him.

“Are you new in town?” he asked.

My eyes flicked back to his and I tilted my head. “I could ask the same about you.”

“Not new. I’ve just been gone a long time.”

Based on the conversation I overheard between him and Jake, I knew he didn’t want to talk about it. “I’ve been here about two years. The people are weird.”

The truth was, I liked this town. Between the town Facebook page and all the unique characters here, it really was a great place to settle down. Just not a great place to find a man, since most of them were already taken.

He nodded at me, his eyes intense as they slowly slid over my face taking in every inch of me. As he stared at me, I felt like he was undressing me with his eyes. And then he lifted the beer bottle to his mouth, his eyes still trained on me and I lost control. Suddenly, I just wanted to feel someone’s arms around me again, even if it was only for one night. All my instincts about men flew out the window as this man stared at me.

“Do you have someplace to stay tonight?” I asked. It was totally out of character for me, but I felt bold as his eyes raked over my body.

He shook his head slightly. “I was just planning on going to the motel.”

“My bed’s better.”







I’m a stay at home mom that loves to read. Some of my favorite titles are Pride and Prejudice, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and Horatio Hornblower. I started writing when I was trying to come up with suggestions on ways I could help bring in some extra money. I came up with the idea that I could donate plasma because you could earn an extra $500/month. My husband responded with, “No. Find something else. Write a blog. Write a book.” I didn’t think I had anything to share on blog that a thousand other mothers hadn’t already thought of. I decided to take his challenge seriously and sat down to write my first book, Jack. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed writing. From there, the stories continued to flow and I haven’t been able to stop. I hope my readers enjoy my books as much as I enjoy writing them. Between reading, writing, and taking care of three small kids, my days are quite full.

He’s determined to find the man that put Delilah, his brother, Thrasher’s ol’ lady, in danger and has her terrified that he will come back for her, since she is the only victim to have escaped him. Raven is a man on a mission, the serial killer wreaking havoc reminds Raven of his past and the tragedy he survived with the help and protection of the RBMC that found him and took care of the man that took Raven’s sister from him. When the club decides to head to Las Vegas for Christmas, Raven chooses to stay behind because he is consumed with finding the serial killer and ending his terror.

She thought that she had found someone that cared about her, little did she know that the man that asked her out had ulterior motives. Now she’s escaped the horrors that he has wreaked on her and others, but is she safe? When Serena is run over by a man in the grocery story with a shopping cart, she finds herself drawn to the man and flirting with him. He could be her savior. When she finds herself in danger and tries to get away, she takes a fall and loses her memory. When she wakes up, she has no idea where she is, who she is, or how she got hurt.

I really liked this story of Raven and Serena’s story. These two are an unlikely pair, but the attraction between them can’t be denied. They dance around each other for a while, but when they do connect, the steam and attraction is off the charts, and they can no longer deny their feelings. I love the gruffness of Raven, but his softness finds its way to the surface with Serena, and he is kind and gentle with her. I love the Portland RBMC chapter and the characters within it. The closeness these guys share is great, they’re a family by choice, not by blood. I love K.L. Savage’s stories and her characters, there is always darkness, but there is also love, humor, and well-rounded characters. I did have some questions from this book that weren’t answered, but I am hoping that they will be soon. I give this story a 4.5-star review and look forward to more books by K.L. Savage in the near future.

A second chance at love for a man who thought he lost everything. The only thing keeping him going is his young son. Will he ever get over his loss? His deputy and friend, Carter thinks it’s time for Jack to find a woman, if not for a permanent relationship at least for some fun. Jack it just starting to find his way back to his regular life and repair his friendship with Josh, but is he ready to move on in other ways?

Christy has been through a tragic ordeal and is looking to move back home to her small town where she grew up. She left for Chicago when she realized that the man she had been in love with found someone else. Christy thought there was more between them, but she realized it was all one sided, or was it? Was Jack just fighting his feelings because he was afraid to lose his best friend?

I am so in love with Giulia Lagomarsino’s books! Her stories are always full of fun, tragedy, love, sexy men and sassy women. Every book I’ve by her has been such a great read. Her characters always have so much depth to them and the stories are always so fun to read. There are parts that brings tears to my eyes, but the books always leave a lasting impression on me, and I can’t seem to get enough of her stories. Jack’s story was a long time coming, but it definitely did not disappoint. I have been wanting to read this story for some time and I am so happy with the result. The characters are always so entertaining and enjoyable to read. The stories are heartfelt and fun, but they have a bit of everything. If you are looking for a series of books that will have you waiting anxiously for the next story to come out, you need to pick up Giulia Lagomarsino’s books. I loved Jack and Christy’s story and I am anxious for the next one, I give this story a 5-star review and if I could, I would give it more.
