My Review: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4 out of 5

Caleb and Ruby have hit a rough patch in the love story they wrote for themselves and now they need to find a way to overcome the heartache and pain that they’re going through. Can Caleb dig deep enough to pull himself out of the darkness to repair his marriage and reconnect with his family?

This was a heartbreaking, healing, and deep story to read. However, it was also a story that was heart mending, warm and endearing. Caleb and Rudy’s love story was hot, heavy, and beautiful when they first found each other, but the years of being a first responder and the dangerous life the Caleb deals with every day can take a tole on the hardest, strongest person that works this job. It’s not easy and when Caleb can’t seem to shake a call, he finds that his marriage is suffering.

I enjoyed this story and reconnecting with various characters in the LSERT series. It’s always nice to catch up with old friends and that’s how it feels when reading these stories and known characters show up. I look forward to more in the LSERT series to come and hope that the other couples continue to thrive with their families.
