My Review: βββββ 5 out of 5
Trust is a tricky thing and when you’re forced to marry without the initial connection first, trust comes even harder. When you’re someone that hides their pain and sorrow, it makes it even harder to connect with someone and find that trust and to find love, or at least to admit it.
Caelian Del Rossa is a man that doesn’t show his pain or sorrow, he hides behind snark, sarcasm, and his reputation as a Del Rossa. When tragedy strikes the Del Rossa family and things begin to fall apart, Caelian pushes Giana away and ignores her, her mind begins to betray her and make her think the worst.
Giana is loyal to her family but when she realizes that its all for not, she begins to find her life unraveling and there is only one person she wants to save and protect her, but she believes that he doesn’t want her. When her life is hanging in the balance of evil and safety, Caelian will find her, but can he save her?
I loved this story, but be sure to read any trigger warnings before reading this book. It is dark and tragic.
