Campbell and Quinn were childhood friends, Campbell was Quinn’s older brothers best friend. After Quinn and her brother, Liam, moved back to the States from Scotland, they lost touch. However, Campbell and Liam were best friends and kept in touch through emails and phone calls on occasion. When Campbell gets a frantic call from Quinn asking for help, he’ll do whatever it takes to find her, protect her and help her. His feelings from the past will have to stay there until they can find out who’s targeting her and Liam and clear his name in the process.
Quinn has been living in her own world for too long, and when she realizes something is wrong since she hasn’t heard from Liam for a few days, she starts to get worried, but it only intensifies when she realizes that someone is breaking into her bunker and her life is in jeopardy. Her trust issues will have to be pushed deep if she expects to get help from the only other person that she knows will help her, outside her father and brother. However, it seems that not all is as is seems with Quinn’s life.
I loved this book, it was action packed, has great characters and a great story of government entities working in the dark and keeping so many secrets. I look forward to more of the Deep 8 series to come.
