I really enjoyed this book. It’s a great chapter of the Devil’s Handmaidens and I can’t wait to read more of this chapter.

A great start to a new MC by J. A. Collard, also a new author to me. I’m hooked on her books now.
The Sub Rosa MC is his legacy, his parents may not have wanted him to live that life, but it’s in his blood and he wants to be a part of the family. He has finally been invited to prospect but before he can become a fully patched member his life takes a turn and he’s thrust into the life without being prepared. Aside from the tragedy that brought him fully into the MC, he pushes the woman he’s in love with away to protect her, but did he do the right thing? Harley has to learn how to run the MC by being thrust into the life because of one man that has a vendetta against Harley and his father and the club.
She’s tried to get him to talk to her long enough, now she’s ready to move on, but for some reason he keeps popping into her mind again. Will she move on with her life, or will Harley trap Serena by staying on her mind? Serena’s not happy with her father’s choices in business, but he’s kept her safe and a roof over her head. Now that she’s away from Harley, her father wants her to marry the son of a Don. He’s been a pain most of her life, but when she finally decides to move on he’s there and her perception of him has changed.
I loved this addition to the MMM World and I loved the characters in this book. I am looking forward to the next book and the answers to all of the questions and the cliff hanger that this book left me in. I will also be looking for more of J. A. Collard’s books to read.

Excerpt: “Come on, think Tressa,” I mutter to myself. I woke up to find myself trussed up like a Thanksgiving turkey. Of course, if I hadn’t gotten a streak of bravery and mouthed off at the jerks who took me, I probably wouldn’t have taken the blow to my face that knocked me out. Newsflash, getting hit like that hurts! My face feels puffy and one eye is partially closed, while I can taste blood in my mouth. Swiping my tongue over my lips, I wince when I feel the split. “That’s gonna leave a mark,” I whisper, feverishly trying to get my hands loose from their bindings. I momentarily feel like I’m succeeding until fire races up my arms and I realize I’ve managed to rip the skin open at my wrists. “Dammit. What do all the heroines in the books I read do when they find themselves kidnapped? Because I know these guys aren’t going to let me go, at least not still alive. I may not be worldly, but I’m not naive nor stupid.” Their comments have also let me know what they’re planning for me and it’s the stuff nightmares are made of, which says a lot coming from a self-confessed crime junkie. The tall guy with greasy, gray hair tied back with a piece of leather, whose cut denotes he’s the president of this band of miscreants, has already stated rather loudly that he’s first in line once the party really gets going. I had to read between the lines, but quickly realized that I’m the party favor they intend to play with. Now, I’ve always admired the old ladies who’ve finagled their way to freedom after being unwillingly taken. I even admire their tenacity for waiting to be rescued, but I don’t want to be that woman. In my mind, these scenes weren’t so gut wrenching, but in real life, it’s harrowing. Shudders wrack my body at the thought of any of them touching me in any way, much less like that. I’d rather try and throw myself backward onto the floor and hope I break my neck or something than allow them to violate me. Hearing a noise at the door, I look up and see one of the guys who took me leering at me before he throws his head back and cackles. “Time’s almost up, pretty lady. Once we’re done with you, there won’t be anything left for the vultures to snack on.” One single tear rolls down my face before I can control myself. Seeing it, he laughs menacingly, and pulls out a knife from a sheath at his waist, walking toward me.
I’m sorry, Nini, that I won’t get to tell you about my brief time with the handsome biker. Right now, though, I’m so glad you didn’t come with me and you’re not here to experience this torment.
Author Bio: I am a transplanted Yankee, moving from upstate New York when I was a teenager. I’m a mom of four and grandma of nine who has found a love of traveling that I never knew existed! This was a great start to a new MC series. I loved the characters and the story line. It was action packed, just the right pace and has great characters.
A chance meeting on the side of the road leads to fated mates for a reader and cover designer attending the Motorcycles, Mafia and Mayhem Book signing and the Enforcer of the Zephyr Hills Phantoms MC. It may take a few days before it becomes clear that they are fated mates, but when Chaos shows up at the signing on behalf of his MC as a courtesy to the organizer, Sapphire Knight, he runs into the woman he met on the side of the road when she was trying to fix a flat tire. She has no idea what Chaos has figured out, but she is ready to believe his explanation after she’s been taken and he rescues her from a rival MC.
This was a great story and the characters were wonderful. I look forward to more in this series to come. I just recently found Darlene Tallman and started reading her books. I’m glad I found her and her books. I love her stories and her characters.

This was a great addition to the Mayhem Makers World. I loved Lou and Sean.
She’s been trained since she was young that her body can be used as a weapon. Louisa “Lou” wants out that world, but she has to deal with her handler first. Will she ever be free to live her life on her terms?
Sean decided from a young age that he did not want to follow in the family business, so he took his own path. It put a strain on his relationship with his father, but he needed to forge his own path in the world. While working a case for the FBI he knows he has no time for a life, but when he runs into a sexy woman at the gym he finds that he wants more in his life.
I loved this book, it was such a great story in the MMM World and it was so different from the others. Lou is a woman living a double life, but she wants to get away from the life she was trained to live and make a life with Sean. Sean wants to live a life away from his father’s business, but his father is determined to have him take the rains and continue the family legacy. Each of the characters have to find a way to live the life they want within the world they are from. This was my first book of Jaime Russell’s and Melissa Filla’s but I loved the story and the writing and will be looking for more of their stories to read.

Raider and Billie’s story is a story of a strong woman that has to show her man that she’s not someone to sit and let a man take care of her. Billie is a strong woman that knows her mind and her strengths. She just needs Raider to open his eyes and his heart to see that he can have more than just his mom in his life and that both parents made their mistakes years ago.
Raider needs to sit back and think about how he wants his life to be. He is so single minded when it comes to his father that he can’t seem to see the light. Billie tries to show him that he has a second chance with his father, but will Raider remain stubborn and shut off where Rager is concerned. Raider and Billie could have a a great family and support, but Raider needs to learn to look around him and accept that he may have been wrong in his perception of is Rager and his MC.
I really like Billie, she’s strong, smart, and not afraid to speak her mind. She’s sweet, and open minded as well. She’s strong enough to stand up to Raider and his narrow minded thoughts and help him see that they can have a wonderful and fulfilling family with both MC’s and her family backing them, they can’t go wrong. I loved the story and I give it a 4.5 star review.

Rager , President of the Rival Sons MC only has one regret, the woman he let get away. He’s never let anyone else get close to him and he still carries a torch for Honey.
Honey, the woman that walked away from Rager. She has regrets too, but she won’t know that until after she runs into Rager again 25 years later. Her career has taken off and she’s a writer under a Pen Name at the MMM2023 signing in Texas.
Secrets, betrayal, and regret are all present in this book. Rager and Honey have a lot to discuss and work out if they ever plan to have a future together. Too many years have passed with them missing out on things that could have brought them closer together. When Rager finds out the secrets that have been kept from him, he has to step back and think. He knows he still loves Honey and he would really like to make a life with her, but can they both put aside the hurt and betrayal that caused the rift between them so long ago?
I loved this addition to the MMM World books. It was a roller coaster of a ride, but so worth the hurt and pain that the story brought out. I want more of these characters and can’t wait to read Life Stands Still For No One. Great addition to the Motorcycles, Mobsters, and Mayhem World.
I was born for a life in the military. When gunfire and RPGs become a way of life, you know exactly what your purpose is. But it was all taken away. When I returned to US soil, I lost myself in hatred but was given a second chance to become something more. When I accepted a position as team leader at a safehouse in Montana, I had no idea what kind of fight I was in for or what kind of brotherhood I was about to join.
Helping soldiers who suffered from PTSD was my area of expertise until a dangerous situation changed everything. For my safety, I agreed to be taken to an unknown location to work with a group of soldiers. But these men fight a whole different kind of war. With my own problems hot on my heels, I tried to focus on my new job, but that was harder than I ever imagined. I found myself in the arms of someone who lit a fire inside me like nobody ever had.
I read lots of books, from mythology retellings to literary fiction and I love to reread books from childhood, this is a place to voice my thoughts for fun. I also like to ramble about things such as art or nature every now and again.
